Very Central

Where special and charming hotel...whith a very small old lift up to the hotel. Room was spacious, bathroom ok, but the shower was tiny. Our room, nr 30 had a small balcony as well.

The staff was friendly and helpful. There was a small refrigerator in the room. The room was clean. The location was great with a lot of bars and restaurants close as well as a supermarket. We were disappointed in the breakfast. The coffee was plentiful but the only food was sugar filled pastries. No healthy options or even a piece of fruit. The Metro station next to the property as well as the adjoining two stations were all closed for repair so the Metro was not an option. This made it more expensive to get around town.

Good location

We could not fault the location, very central, and the staff were very helpful. Sadly our room was dingy and very basic, but clean, and although it did not spoil our visit I would not stay there again.

I was deceived

I selected the hotel based on the map provided by Expedia and I selected a room in an \"annex\" building because it was the only option available. However, the \"annex\" building was 45 minites away. Both Expedia and the hotel provided misleading information.

First time rome

Great staff, great location

We rented to the hotel that was titled as a in the ANNEX building and the only mistake we made was we went to the main hotel. The friendly staff booked us a cab ride to the Annex building on corso vittorio emanuele. They also gave us great directions on bus and ways to get around. The Annex building is a great location, easy walk to numerous locations like vatican, navarona, others, and a bus stop out the door that has many choices to get to other locations.. Good food nearby within walking distance, felt safe at nights. Hotel / apartment was clean, bed was the most comfortable that we slept in all week and price was lower than all others. Dont expect a four star, it is old, but well kept. Enjoy

Fantastic place

Close to everything, great neighbourhood, near Barbarini subway station. Very clean, super nice and friendly guys. They'll get you anything you need. Ignore the ratings, it's worth more than what they're asking. Free water and soft drink in fridge for arrival.

Clean and comfortable, near everything!

If you want a clean hotel in the heart of it all, this is a clean and economical way to go. First the things I liked: free bottled water and soda, comfortable beds, clean room, friendly staff. Breakfast was more substantial than I had read as it had multiple types of pastries, variety of yogurt and coffee made to order. Now for the only draw back, which is not even a complaint since i knew we were staying at an economical location, the bathroom was so small that it was hard to even turn around a full 360 degrees. This is not an exaggeration. We are fit and in good shape. I think this bathroom would be a struggle for a larger person. Oh and yes, the stairs can be an issue. We usually always use stairs at a hotel, but found our legs were a little fatigued after miles and miles of sight seeing. Not a big deal, just be aware.

A room for 6

The hotel room for 6 has caused alot of discomfort as the size of the room should be only for a maximum of 4. Basic facilities was present but it's not ideal for those who wants comfort. Not recommended to travelers who wants a comfortable sleep.

Terrible hotel with poor management

This hotel is falling apart and management unprofessional. The elevator literally got stuck and JOLTED 75% of the time that I took it down (seemed OK on way up though). Room is very basic. Location is OK - avg 15 min walk from most tourist attractions. The management were unfriendly with me. I would try my luck elsewhere next time.

Fun time in Roma

The Azzurra is a nice place to stay that is priced appropriately. The room was spacious and the staff very friendly and accommodating. We asked for a wake up call for 4.00 and taxi service to the airport and both were delivered with exceptional service.
The room was clean and maintained well by the staff during our visit. The room did come with an air conditioner unit that was a bit loud, but kept the room cool and comfortable.
The location of Azzurra is ideal with just a short walk to the Trevi fountain and easy access to the Metro.
Overall, I would rate this a fine 2-star hotel.

And this particular time breakfast was unavailable...notified the night before arrival as staff were on vacation...but compensated by having our city tax paid for was sufficient.

Great Stay

Me and my two sisters were traveling from Toronto Canada on a budget. We took the coach bus from the airport to Termini station for 8 Euros. From Termini station it was about a 20 minute walk to the hotel. The hotel was at the end of the tunnel to the right. This hotel was conveniently located near the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. The hotel was basic, it was clean. Clean white sheets. The bathroom was a bit small but clean. There is no room to turn around in the stand up shower but that is Europe for you! There was free wifi but the connection in the hotel room was weak so we had to use it in the hallway. The walls are very thin so you can hear everything! The breakfast was included but it was not in the building. It was across the street at the Cafe. It included one tea and your choice of either a pastry or sandwich. Very basic. The service was poor. There is a McDonalds near by so you can get an American coffee or cappuccino in a regular paper cup to go. I would definitely stay here again. Be careful of the elevators, they are not the American ones they look to be around 100 years old but that adds character. You do NOT need to pay for cabs to get around the major tourist attractions in Rome. Get a comfortable pair of walking shoes and start walking. The metro costs 1 euro! Its worth seeing Rome by foot.

awful place

it really is. and i dont mind awful places. but the doors to the room are very thin,the street outside is insanely noisy. the room itself is a little dingy. the desk was not helpful. they did have wireless internet. but honestly, dont book here. even the central location it has is really for 18 year old high school tours. it isnt near anything you really want-- i promise.

Azzurra in Rome - simple but nice people

This hotel was not highly recommended but we had to take it as a last minute resort. That's why we were very pleasantly surprised when the people at this hotel turned out to be very nice and helpful, and our room was daily cleaned. Turns out that there's a new management theres since May 2011, and they are doing their best to change the place's reputation. Also, It's very close to a metro station and very close to Trevi Fountain, so it was very comfortable.
The hotel is still very basic and not everything was fixed – in our room the air conditioning stopped working after a few hours at nights, and there were moss stains on the ceiling. But the price we paid, the helpful service and the great location makes this a very good budget hotel so stay in when in rome.

Considering the location and price I have nothing to complain about

The hotel service might not be all that good but at the end of the day, you just need a place to crash. After a long day of walking and seeing the sights in Rome, I was able to sleep and rest well. And given its location and considering the price I have really nothing to complain about.

Great location and spacious room

This was in a great location right in the midst of major sightseeing attractions and shopping area. The managers were very friendly and willing to offer advice as to places to go and best way to do it , and also genuinely concerned to ensure that I had a great stay. The room was big and had a massive wardrobe with draws, bathroom too was very roomy. Had a good view. The only downsides were the noise coming through the windows from the street, but it wasn't a big deal, and no kitchen/ breakfast facility but provided pastry breakfast at cafe downstairs. I understand they are renovating and intalling a breakfast room soon as they have only just taken over management. All in all ennjoyed my stay. Oh and has a lift to the third floor where located which was handy.

Good place & good value.

This is a nice Italian hotel. We weren't looking for fancy, definetly not looking for an American style hotel, we wanted something that would connect us to the locals. We really enjoyed the people & the cafe where breakfast was provided was perfect. Location was good - close to Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps & an easy walk to Campo di Fiore & the Vatican.

Hotel w bardzo dobrej lokalizacji. Obsługa uprzejma. W hotelu jest winda. Ręczniki i pościel bardzo czyste. Łazienka maleńka, ale też czysta, z suszarką do włosów. Niestety na ścianach i w szafce łazienkowej wilgoć, trochę zagrzybione. Śniadanie to jedynie okropna nadziewana słodka bułka i niezła kawa, sok z kartonu, suchary z marmoladą, podawane bardzo późno, bo dopiero po 8.

Отличный отель.

Останавливаемся в этом отеле уже второй раз. Местоположение отеля просто супер, исторический центр, все в пешей доступности, до Фонтана Треви 200м., площадь Навона, испанская лестница, пантеон все рядом.
Отель не большой, занимает третий этаж здания. В номере есть все необходимое, уборка каждый день. Завтрак скромный, но рядом полно пиццерий, кафешек есть где покушать. Отель нам очень нравится, обслуживание замечательное. Всем рекомендую.

Hotel spartano in posizione eccezionale.
La camera era pulita e con i servizi di base.

Ottima posizione e pulito

Punto di forza la posizione a due passi dalla fontana di Trevi e da Piazza di Spagna. Personale gentile, camere piccole ma pulite, bagno nuovo ma senza bidet Ascensore piccolo e scomodo (l'albergo si trova al terzo piano). Colazione con ottime brioches da pasticceria e caffetteria fatta al momento e senza niente di salato.

Centraal gelegen hotel met nette kamer.

Een zeer centraal gelegen hotel met zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. De kamer was klein, maar zeer schoon en netjes met licht gekleurde muren en vloer. De douche was zeer comfortabel en de bedden ook; wat hoger en een heerlijk dik matras. De kamer leek recentelijk gerenoveerd, wat er zeer mooi uitzag. Het ontbijt was eenvoudig, maar goed; croissants in allerlei soorten (met room, jam, appel, chocolade of neutraal), heerlijke koffie (allerlei soorten) en sap. Restaurants en winkels (ook supermarkt) lagen letterlijk om de hoek. Voor een 2 sterren hotel midden in het centrum (Trevi-fontijn op loopafstand) vonden wij het zeer goed. Ook goede wifi en airco op de kamer. Er lag gratis drinken in de kleine koelkast op onze kamer toen wij aankwamen. Ik zou hier de volgende keer zeker weer willen verblijven!

O hotel tem um elevador que parece de filme de terror, podem dentro dos inconvenientes encontrados para localizar o hotel , a entreda do mesmo, o quarto foi confortável mesmo que muito pequeno, tem duas pessoas que trabalham lá que são muito atenciosas, café da manhã muito pequeno. Recomendo que quem não tiver esportiva para enfrentar um hotem precário, pague um pouquinho mais e procure outro. Custo beneficio para mim foi bom porque o mesmo é muito bem localizado e as pessoas que trabalham lá são gentis

Nous avons été logés dans les dépendances de l'hôtel Azzura et non à l'hôtel Azzura. C'est plutôt mieux concernant l'emplacement qui est plus proche des principaux endroits à voir. Prestations tout à fait correctes. Seul bémol: la rue est très bruyante le soir

Vi havde en lejlighed med 2 soveværelser, et lille køkken alrum og pænt nyt renoveret toilet. Lejligheden er ikke 5 stjernet, men hyggelig og absolut pæn og ren, der bliver gjort rent hver dag. Personalet er utrolig venlige og hjælpsomme. Der bliver serveret morgenmad ved døren, hver morgen, kaffe, croissant, bolle, juice og youghurt, alt sammen friskt. Det eneste der er lidt misvisende er, at lejligheden ikke ligger der, hvor der bliver reklameret med den skal ligge. vi troede den lå ved Barberini metro. Den ligger helt nede, tæt på broen der går mod Peterskirken.

Hôtel Azzurra à Rome : super situation

Voilà un petit hôtel très bien tenu, un peu vieillot mais très propre. Le personnel est très souriant. Sa situation est idéal (400m de la fontaine de Trévi et à 100m d'une station de métro). Bon rapport qualité/prix. Seul bémol, l'isolation, on entend tout ce qu'il se passe autour de la chambre.

Tämäkö muka \"hotelli\" ??? !!!
Luvattu \"mannermainen aamupala\" tarkoitti tämän hotellin mielestä kahvikupillista sekä pullaa hotellin viereisessä kahvilassa. Eipä paljoa houkuttanut ja tuo on hyvin kaukana mannermaisesta.
Hotellihuone ei ollut valmiina meille luovutettavaksi silloin kuin piti vaan monta tuntia myöhemmin.
Huone oli erittäin paljon poikkeava siitä mitä hotellin nettisivuilla on kuvia huoneista.
Hiustenkuivaajaa ei ollut. Huone oli ränsistynyt ja muutenkin aikansa jo elänyt, antiikkinen, (ehkä olisi ollut sopiva keisari Neron aikoina?). Suihkukoppiin mahtui juuri ja juuri. Huoneessa ei ollut puhelinta respaan. Respassa ei aina ollut henkilökuntaa. Ja mitäköhän vielä! En suosittele kenellekkään itseään arvostavalle matkaajalle. Sijainti tosin oli loistava, mutta silti.

Hôtel en plein quartier touristique mais très mal insonorisé

Excellent rapport qualité-prix. L'hôtel est très convenable (chambres propres, personnel accueillant...) mais très mal insonorisé (simple vitrage et murs très fins!). L'hôtel est situé au troisième étage d'un immeuble mais il y a un tout petit ascenceur. Situé dans une petite ruelle, il peut être difficile à trouver. Le petit déjeuner est compris mais il est très rudimentaire (une boisson chaude et une vienoiserie) et doit être pris dans un bar en face où ils ne sont pas toujours aimables. Toutefois l'hôtel est situé à deux minutes à pied du métro, de la fontaine de Trévi, du Panthéon et à dix minutes de la superbe place Navonna ou de la gare Termini (où l'on arrive après l'aéroport).

Hvis man vægter central beliggenhed og ikke går så højt op i hotel komfort er Azzura et godt valg.
