The staff at this hotel were all so friendly. They were extremely helpful and welcoming and could not do enough for you.

Just had 10 fabulous nights here. the staff were so friendly. Apartment was clean and spacious for a family of 4. Pool area lovely never too busy always anle to get sun lounger regardless of time of day. when we checked in we git some dining recommendations one of which became a firm favourite during stay. apartments were close to centre but ar enough away not to be noisy at night. couldnt fault it at all. would recommend and definitely stay again id going back.

Fantastic apartments, can’t wait to return

Fantastic apartment with a lovely spacious balcony overlooking the lake. The apartment was extremely clean, as well as all communal areas. Breakfast was tasty and replenished often. Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Convenient location - in a quiet area but not too far from the main town, and within walking distance of the train station. I loved my stay here and would definitely return.

Fantastic location close to Lake Garda seafront and restaurants with grocery store just 5 mins away. Bikes for rent on site through deposit only. Whole range of choice for breakfast in lovely quiet setting. Staff friendly and helpful, had early train to catch and they produced a breakfast box of food the night before at no extra cost. Nice clean pool on site never an issue with sunbeds which were always available. Highly recommended and would definitely stay again.

Mainly happy in Desenzano

The apartment was very nice, spacious and well set out with lots of cupboard space and a well-equipped kitchen. However the mattresses were very hard. I requested a mattress topper and was given one which did help. The pool areas had lots of sunbeds although the pool was rather cold and small. The location was excellent - a ten minute walk from the train station (although we did have to cope with a strike day) and a 5 minute walk into a very nice town.

Weekend in Desenzano

Great Hotel, 5 minutes walk into Desenzano, where there are plenty of shops and cafes to while away the hours.
We were upgraded to an apartment with a kitchen and lounge which was great, everything you needed. Free parking offered. The pool was fabulous especially after a hot day seeing the sights.
The staff were wonderful, very friendly and helpful.
We would definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay in Desenzano!

Great staff at checkin, very helpful and open to helping with any local questions. Apartment was very comfortable and air conditioning was welcomed. There was a microwave, kettle, and double electric in the kitchen as well as enough dishes etc although there seemed to be a few glasses missing. Pool was very nice but pretty cold and shallow so not the best for doing laps but a welcome cool down in the heat. Parking was great too in the lower level which also had several recycle bins and trash bins too. We weren’t quite sure what we needed to do so we emptied the trash and recycle every morning! We had a nice balcony but didn’t get to use it except to dry our washing. There was a self service laundromat a few blocks from the hotel towards the Simply supermarket, which was great, but a lot closer. Overall a good stay, the only feedback that we have is that when we were cleaning the kitchen we found several pieces of dried rice, we didn’t have any rice, and also found long black hairs in the bathroom which were not from us. We cleaned them up to avoid any risk of a penalty! The balcony also had several dust balls. I believe we left the apartment cleaner than we found it! Not a complaint just an observation. Hotel was very close to town and the boats as well as to the train station for trains to Verona and Venice.

I have just returned from a holiday to Desenzano and I’m so pleased we stayed at Il Sogno. From the moment we arrived the staff were so helpful. They organised an 18th birthday cake to be delivered for my son’s birthday. Nothing was too much trouble. Our room was cleaned daily. The location of the hotel is perfect. We wanted to be within walking distance if the beach and restaurants and also to be near the train station for travelling to Milan and Venice. If this is what you are looking for then this is the place for you.

This is our second stay here, and didn’t disappoint. The staff are all wonderful, all queries were handled swiftly. Location is good, a small supermarket is nearby, and it is only a short walk into the centre of town. Ferries on the Lake are easily accessed for visits to other small towns nearby. Good rail service to Verona too.

Stayed here for 3 nights as it seemed to be a good spot to explore Lake Garda, and was near to the railway station from which we could take a day-trip to Venice. For these two aspects, it was spot-on. The town of Desenzano del Garda was a real surprise - a nice centre with lots going on and (touristy) things to do and thanks to their recommendations, we found some fabulous restaurants off the beaten track, but still within walking distance of the apartment. Likewise, the train station was a 10-min walk and the services to both Verona and Venice were regular and reasonable. I would definitely recommend using the train to visit Venice rather than drive there! Unlike other hotels we stayed in during our tour of the Italian Lakes & Venice, there was no restriction on the use of the apartment's air-con, which was such a relief after a day out touring! Would have no hesitation in recommending these apartments to anyone wishing to stay in this area of Lake Garda.

First apartment experience for us as opposed to a hotel. Excellent! The kitchenette was well equipped with a good sized pot for pasta, a strainer and a cheese grater. All dishes, glasses and even placements provided. There was pantry space with a clothes drying rack which was a thoughtful addition.

A short walk (albeit an uphill incline) to the train station, a stroll to the main piazza in Desenzano and the ferries plus restaurants, makes Il Sogno perfectly situated for a pleasant holiday base.

Bed and pillows comfortable and a great shower with good water pressure. Rooms cleaned daily. We will certainly return.

Spent 10days in this comfortable apartment which has everything you need for selfcatering.Beds firm but we slept well!Pool clean and plenty of sun and loungers. A supermarket 2mins walk and a larger onewith much more choice about 10mins walk. Lakeside 5mins walk for Ferries to all places on Garda Lakeside.

We stayed at the hotel with our 2 boys aged 12 & 13. The apartment was immaculately clean and cleaned daily. The staff were warm and helpful. The hotel is in close proximity to the train station and the centre of Desenzano, so no car required. We often had the pool to ourselves too which was nice. The facilities within the apartment were adequate and the air conditioning worked well. The supermarket is 3 minutes walk away which was very handy.

We enjoyed our weeks stay at Residence Il Sogno. It was very central for everything. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The towels etc. were changed as required and apartment cleaned daily. Our apartment had a large balcony with attractive views over to the Lake. The swimming pool looked very inviting but it was too cold to use as yet.

Lovely hotel in good location

We stayed in this hotel for over a week and it is was easy and convenient to stay in. Everything arranged perfectly for an early arrival and late check out. Staff were helpful, polite and very pleasant. Room lovely and spacious. Well laid out, with great views. Self catering was very possible although we spent much of the time out and about - so good to have a fridge for ice cubes and cold drinks. Supermarket trip very easy to walk to.
I was in real need of some time out and relaxation and although we went to the opera in Verona, a day trip to Venice and a boat trip to Sirmiofe. I still came back very refreshed.

Nice, clean and friendly hotel near hub of resort

A family of four, including 14yo daughter and 8yo son, we spent a very enjoyable 10 days at this hotel in the lovely resort of Desenzano del Garda.
We always felt very comfortable and well looked after by the hotel staff. The rooms were cleaned daily (super quickly) with fresh towels always provided. Breakfasts were pleasant and the staff were really friendly. The pool was nice and clean and there was never problem finding a peaceful spot to relax.
The hotel was close to the vibrant centre of the resort with all the facilities we needed in addition to regular boat links to other lakeside towns including beautiful Sermione, only 20 mins away.
We were also a 5 minute walk from the railway station where we were able to travel to Venice (1hr 30mins) and Verona (30 mins). We could have also gone by rail to Milan or Peschiera for links to nearby Gardaland.
We would highly recommend this hotel and location for any families considering a holiday to Lake Garda.

The hotel staff are charming friendly and helpful. We had a spotlessly clean modern apartment with king sized bed, big bathroom, living room with kitchenette microwave and frig, sofa, table and chairs. Both rooms led out to balcony with views of Lake Garda and Sirmione castle. Excellent breakfast with fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, cold meat and cheese and selection of rolls and croissants.

A really lovely place

We stayed 1 night in the 3 bedroom apartment as a family of 7 adults when visiting Lake Garda area. Overall, we were very happy with our choice - the hotel is in great location - easily walkable to the waterfront and numerous restaurants) and it has a good parking. The staff was super friendly, and we had a truly fantastic breakfast (and I'm not easily impressed in this aspect). The apartment itself was very clean, with nice big balcony that we could sit on and enjoy some wine.
Our only complaint/negative is that for the 3 bedrooms apartment (which is 2 double bedrooms, 1 single bedroom and living room with sofa bed for 2 people) with us being 7 adults, a single bathroom was quite problematic both for evening and morning preparation. The nice lady in the reception said they also have another apartment with 2 bathrooms, but it only sleeps 6 people so unfortunately wouldn't have been the right choice for us. But if you go with a family of up to 6 people, it might work better for you.
As said though, this issue aside, it is otherwise a perfect place to stay, and we definitely would be happy to stay there again if we were in a smaller group (or just a couple).

The hotel is centrally located, 5 mins walk from the lakeside and town centre inc ferry terminals an 10 mins (uphil) to the raiway station, which is just what we wanted. We were able to go to many places by train, venice, milan, verona (our favorite and less than 30 mins on the train. The ferry stars from Dezenzano which ensures the best location for trips up the lake.
The hotel is top notch and the rooms have a decent kitchen, bathroom and of course the bed which we found very comfortable. It is very clean with room cleaning every day. The only critism is that noise travelled between rooms, but with tiled flooring this is often the case.
Staff are helpful and friendly.

These are lovely apartments ideally situated for the railway station and only ten minutes walk downhill to the ferry point. Breakfasts are very good and well worth the 10 euros per person. Staff are friendly and helpful and the apartments are very spacious with good size balconies and nice showers with proper doors and thankfully not shower curtains. We stayed in the basic apartment but had lake view which is a side view of the lake and it was very pleasant.

Large apartment about a five minute walk from the lake. Ideal location and nice and quiet. The apartment was comfortable, but the bathroom was a bit dated and could do with a real deep clean to get the mould out of the grout. Otherwise the apartment was spotless. The staff were lovely and very helpful. Pool a bit cold but refreshing on a hot day! We enjoyed or stay.

My wife, daughter (16months) and I stayed here for 7 nights. We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment with separate living / dining area.

The apartment was spotless and looked like it had been recently decorated. We had no complaints about any aspect of our stay and would definitely return. Hotel was in very good location, about a 10min walk (with stroller) to train station and 7min walk to center of town. There was also a supermarket about 2 mins walk from hotel which was very handy.

The staff were extremely friendly and full of advice on places to go and things to do.

Really lovely aparthotel where staff go the extra mile to help with information and are extremely friendly. . All staff have a good understanding of English and helped us even find a local garage to fill our tyres with air. We were even given a small gift to come home with. Desenzano is a real gem of a place to visit. Accomodation was cleaned daily and was spotless Breathtaking scenery and very close to visit Venice and Verona if you have a car. We would definitely stay at Il Sogno again and hope to do so soon.

Family Garda Holiday.

we recently had a seven night stay at this hotel with my wife and three children 12, 13, and 15yrs. We stayed in their three bedroom apartment The hotel is in a great position for a family holiday on Lake Garda. We found the hotel to be very well run, great breakfast and very good staff, very nice pool area, underground car parking. We would highly recommend this hotel.

Never been so comfortable

This attractive accomodation is in a quiet part of Desenzano about 5 mins walk from the lake. It has a beutifully appointed breakfast room with adequate breakfast.
We stayed in a \"one bedroom\" apartment which was in fact two separate rooms, kitchen area (with crockery, cutlery, pans etc and large balcony with a reasonable view of the lake etc..
There was loads of wardrobe space , drawers etc. there was a television in both rooms and the proprietor fixed us up with a satellite box so we could search for English TV.
The a/c-heating worked well. The bathroom was large and well appointed.
The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful and we had no trouble communicating.
We were more than happy with Il Sogno and will definitely return next year. It is exellent value for money and would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone.

Sehr gute Lage, in 5-10 min. Gehdistanz sind See, Zentrum mit Restaurants sowie der Bahnhof erreichbar. Ruhig mit schöner Aussicht auf See. Tiefgarage.

Residence in centro a Desenzano, comodo e pulitissimo. Personale molto gentile e disponibile. Gli appartamenti non sono nuovi ma comunque ben tenuti.
L'insonorizzazione interna (tra appartamenti) e l'oscuramento delle finestre non sono ottimali: per il primo punto c'è poco da fare, mentre per il secondo basterebbe sostituire le attuali tende con delle nuove più spesse e/o di colore più scuro.

Grand appartement très joli, salle de bain vieillissante, tout est très fonctionnel, très très propre, tout le confort et même plus! Kit éponges vaisselles, bouteilles d'eau au frigo, capsule dolce gusto, sachet de thé et sucre ! L'arrière de l'appartement donne sur un parking moche que l'on ne voit quand arrivant, petite terrasse avec jolie vue. Parfait!
