Showed up to check in and place was basically closed with no one at the desk and door locked. There was a piece of paper in window with a number to call. Tried 4x with no answer so had to book somewhere else. Hotel also refused to refund my money. Please avoid this money scam!

We realize that going to Hampton Beach is all about the beach. But a lot of the resorts are now getting old and we don't feel as if they are keeping everything up to snuff. The mattress and the bed are falling apart. a good nights sleep would be nice. Time to replace the old beds and mattresses.

This is a good hotel for the price, and very close to beach. The room had 2 double beds which were comfortable, also had a toaster, coffee maker, microwave, and mini fridge. The tv had many channels to choose from. This is an older hotel so t could use a little tlc in spots, but if your looking for easy access to beach and the strip at a great price this is it. The man at front desk is very helpful as well

This property is a typical beach cottage. It could use continued upgrades. There were multiple fixtures missing light and the bed was ok. The place was good enough. The property was super loud. You can hear right through the walls and the road noise can disturb light sleepers.

The parking area was haunted, would not park in there. Heat didn’t work, top of shower leaked enormously & flooded the bathroom, beds were like concrete floors, no lighting & Internet didn’t work. Did I leave anything out? How did this place get a 7.2 rating & it wasn’t cheap.

One night stay

We came for an overnight and upon check in were offered a free upgrade which was great. The two gentlemen at the front desk were very welcoming. One brought me to see where the room was located and the other showed me where to park my larger sized vehicle. We were on the third floor. I sat outside and watched as the sun set. The sky was gorgeous. Since it was a one night stay in September, we didn’t bring our bathing suits, but I wish I had. The pool looked relaxing. The king sized bed was very comfortable. The location of the Inn was perfect for a walk to the beach. If we are in the area again, I would love to stay here.

The man at the front desk was kind and funny upon checking us in. The door to the room was definitely unsafe in terms of locking. The door also face the pool and the curtains weren’t blackout so any passerby could have glimpsed us in some peculiar positions like getting out of the shower etc. some quick changes could include adding blackout curtains, add a small cheap stand to the bathroom to place toiletries and wash cloths, consider including two bottles of inexpensive water in the rooms. To increase luxury they could add memory foam toppers to the mattress to increase comfort.

Liked that it was close to the beach and restaurants. The area around the hotel was dirty and our room was clean, TV worked but couldn’t get a good picture, scrambled. Walls are thin and you can hear other people talking and kids playing. Beds are comfortable. We would probably not stay here again.

Check in room had nothing when listed a kitchen. Asked for spatular dish soap and dish cloth and toaster. They bring us a spoon, toaster a face cloth and a plastic cup with some soap to wash dishes. They also wanted to charge us 30 to check in early at noon then wanted to charge extra to leave your car after check out at 10am. I would never stay there again.

My stay at the Ships Inn was fair. The staff was very friendly. The facility could use some basic cleaning and upgrades.
Some obviously old marks and dirt on the walls, appliances etc. Some broken items in the room. The beds and linen were clean though. Bathrooms were also clean. The second room I stayed in had a lock to the door that was very difficult to use. Very difficult to lock from the outside. It is also too close to the frame. Hard to use without injuring your hand.
The facility is what I thought it would be. It was okay for 2 adults. If I had young children I would have been a little uncomfortable with the conditions.

Dont bring valuables balcony door was unlocked and chairs were placed on each side which could allow someone to climb around wall from ajoining room exterior door on porch could possibly be popped with card. main room door did not feel secured properly opened to reveal a gap afterlocking. Bed was not a quality matress. wear shower shoes could have been cleaner. not disappointed for the price or the convenience ( location) would definately consider staying there again

The room we stayed in, was close to the backside of the strip. So it was noisy which to be expected, and it was brighter than normal. Because the lights are right there, other than that.I enjoyed it one hundred percent. Also, there was a funky smell butt. Obviously, they'll take care of that. 'cause something died somewhere, and they couldn't find it, which happens with animals, people don't need to write bad reviews about it, it could happen in your house

The only thing that was good about this property was the short walk to the beach. The room was tiny with the amount of money i paid for only 2 nights. Bugs in bathroom. Beds need to be upgraded same with linens. Pool was tiny as well. Not like shown in pictures. Parking was terrible and confusing, could not park in regular parking lot because we drove our truck.

We've stayed at this property before. Room was fine, clean, and serviceable. A/C didn't appear to work, but it was a cool night. Bathroom door handle was on backwards, locked from the outside. Had a balcony (overlooking the parking garage and other buildings, but was clean/fresh air). Bedside lamp and clock/radio didn't work, but I didn't bother looking to see if they were plugged in. Everything is a bit tired, but they are freshening it up with clean paint regularly. Very friendly and helpful staff. Beds were not super comfy, kind of short for a 6' tall person, but the price was right.

There was old half eaten food still in the fridge, the plate and cups that were in the cabinets were dirty and stained. Mold in the bathroom, no toilet paper, office claims they’re open until 11 but at 9:00 there was nobody there, beds are incredibly uncomfortable, there was sand covering the floors before we even checked in, only two of the electrical outlets worked, it was incredibly loud- you could hear every step the people above you took, definitely wouldn’t recommend staying here

Nous avons pris l'option avec la cuisinette. Par contre, nous nous serions attendus à avoir le matériel nécessaire pour nous en servir facilement. Par exemple: des ustensiles en quantité suffisante, des linges à vaisselles, des filtres à café, un ouvre-boîte fonctionnel et du savon... Bref, la base pour payer pour cet option à mon avis.
Aussi, le plancher était sale. Il n'y avait pas de trace de sable ou de poussières mais n'avait clairement pas été lavé depuis un bail.

The shower curtain rod would not stay in place and the shower curtain as do ripped it would not stay on. The floor was soaked by the time the shower was over. The chandelier was missing a globe which is a code violation . The air conditioner had a curtain that when closed was right over the running AC unit- another code violation. The pool had no ladder to get out. The fire alarm went off in another unit and we were told it was ok. Would never stay there again or recommend it!

The smoke detector had been removed from the wall. The cover on the ceiling vent in the bathroom Was missing exposing a large rusty hole. Cigarette burns on nightstand and shower. Sinks cabinets falling apart. Electrical socket not safe for sink area and falling off the wall. We arrived right before a concert so could not ask for another room.

I was just staying one night with my daughter, offseason. I asked in advance if they could please ensure I had a hair dryer, clothing iron and fan in my room. I was told they didn't have irons or fans, but they had an AC. I was also told all rooms were standard with hair dryers. They need morning we had a very early appointment, and no hair dryer in the room. I requested one and I never heard back. So I hung my head in front of the AC unit to dry my hair. I told them I was forced to do this and still no reply.

The location is convenient, and the pricing is above average for the season.

Overall, my experience was mediocre. The situation with the lock significantly detracted from my stay.

I checked in late, having called ahead, and the initial process went smoothly. However, upon opening my door, the lock fell to the ground, leaving the door unsecured for the night. While the area appeared safe, this was understandably concerning.

I informed the reception desk about the issue, and they promptly sent someone to assess the problem during the day. Additionally, the receptionist offered a broom as a temporary solution to keep the door closed, which I appreciated. To mitigate any risks, I left all my belongings in the car while the room remained unlocked. A staff member came to inspect the situation and assured me that a technician would arrive within the next 30 minutes to replace the lock. Although I had prior commitments, I waited for 45 minutes before returning my belongings to the car and notifying reception that I was attending an event, but someone should still arrive to address the issue.

Upon my return, the lock had not been repaired, and I had not received the broom or any alternative means to secure the door, leaving me feeling vulnerable during my stay.

It seems that this may be a recurring issue for the hotel, particularly with the suite I occupied, as evidenced by the numerous broken lock remnants still attached to the door.

Honestly, look else where.

I stay in the area at least once a year, for a weekend or concert. usually in season or just out of summer.
My go to hotel is closed this late in the year so i tried the Ships inn as a replacement.
I am really bummed to say that i did not enjoy my stay at at this establishment.
Upon arrival the women behind the counter asked me to kindly wait while she finished her texting..ok after a 2 and a half hour drive i dont mind stretching my legs a minute.
After a 30 seconds to a minute she was ready to check me in, that went as normal until she tried to find the room key, after several minutes of banging around searching the drawer and muttering while voice texting the housekeepers she needs the key back now!.
This takes about 10 minutes and i receive an apology for the wait.
i didnt mind the wait. But the unorganized drama was unnecessary.
I know the website photos of hotel rooms are never quite the reality but this was far from what i was expecting. Way \"older\" and need of repair than the photos let on.
The mismatched beds were uncomfortable, but the sheets seamed clean. the walls and ceilings are paper thin. Even a casual conversation can be heard from one froom to another, which is something i wish my upstairs neighbors had taken into consideration before making me glad i didnt have the kids with me and honestly making me a little jealous of the youthful stamina.
