We have been coming here every year since Covid and truly love the space. The only small complaints that I have are that there are no longer floats for the pool, which is something we thoroughly enjoyed and additionally, the walls are incredibly thin, so you hear, almost every movement that you’re next-door neighbor makes. This ends up, typically not being an issue, but when you get younger folks who like to party, it does definitely impede your ability to sleep and relax. This year, we also noticed that you have to physically ask for a campfire at night, which is different than the previous four years. We’ve been where there is just typically a fire made every evening. Having a campfire there without needing to ask for one I think is so special because you really get to know people who are staying, and it creates a sense of community. I would recommend that campfires exist, regardless of whether or not people ask for them. Otherwise, we will be back next year, we absolutely love Montauk and all that it has to offer.

Upon checking into our room, there was blood stains on the pillowcase of the bed and blood on the whole roll of the toilet paper on the ends (I have pictures to prove it) unfortunately, the hotel was sold out and my boyfriend wasn't feeling well so there was no alternative for us at that point. We were extremely disappointed on the cleanliness of this hotel
We won't be recommending this hotel at all.

Friendly staff, they have bicycles you can use while staying there. The beach area was quite and within walking distance. Hotel was clean, you do need to wait until 7am for coffee so be prepared if you are an early riser like myself.

The location in Montauk was great. The staff also was great- Once you're checked in, they have a texting system so you can respond with questions or let them know if you need anything that way which I found very convenient. The pool area was nice, and it was nice that even though we got there before we could check in, we had access to that area. While it is in Montauk and we were there during a summer weekend, which is an expensive area and time to be there, it still felt like we were paying way too much for the room- the room was perfectly normal and clean but it's still a motel room. The beds were comfy.

Air conditioning was broken. We wanted to go to dinner, and had a conversation with front desk manager who said she wouldn’t go into our room while we were gone. I received a text from Colleen after she went into my room after inspecting the air conditioner. Then she denied ever saying anything. Violation of space/trust and lie on top of lie from staff.

Besides one front desk attendant that was beyond inviting and sweet, everything about this place was disappointing. We found a few ants in the room, and there was absolutely no service or wifi in our room. If it did work, it was for 2 minutes before it crashed again. The motel claims there is free wifi but both servers they gave us did not work well at all. When i called about this, a woman at the desk said “well it’s working for me so”. Also, the pool was not cleaned yet even tho we stayed after memorial day. We didn’t have access to all the amenities such as the grill or pool. There was no coffee machine or microwave in the room, so it was basically up to us to go out everyday and drive 30 minutes to the market to get food if we didn’t want to spend money on 3 meals a day. You have to drive everywhere to get anything, and the nearest Dunkin is 50 minutes away. CVS is 30 minutes away. The town is about 25 minutes away. The beach is not on site as well. The beach is a 10-15 minute drive, but the bay is across the street. There was nothing really to do here and honestly, not worth the amount we paid. I’m very disappointed. I did think one of the desk attendants was very friendly and caring, but the others were just straight up rude. I wish I got her name so I could tell her boss how nice she was.

The hotel was very pleasantly located near the harbor which was a nice surprise. the Room was clean and the fire pit / picnic area was also an added benefit. The rooms were no frills but very clean.

Beautiful boutique motel right on the LI Sound in Montauk. Near Gossmans dock and charter boats. Great restaurants and shops nearby. The sunset from our deck was stunning. We had a one bedroom suite with living room, fridge, AC and kitchenette. I highly recommend Haven!!!

They hardly make hotels like this anymore. It's a bare-bones kind of place, needing significant upgrading. THe staff was on the gruff side. The breakfast was apples and yoghurt. The overall feeling is Motel-6'ish. But on the up-side, it's location is great, out at a spit of land in Montauk Harbor (not Montauk Village, not Montauk Point). Lovely views.

We were early and were going to ask for a beach pass until the room was ready. The girl at the desk, Jamilla(I hope I spelled it right) told us that of course we could have the passes. Also, not only was the room ready, but we got a free upgrade from a studio to a one bedroom. It was perfect. We had a great time. The staff and guests were very friendly. We’ve stayed there several times and are planning to again

They had to move me from my first room Because the air conditioning in the first room was extremely noisy and did not cool the room at all. The air conditioner in the new room was effective but extremely noisy as well. Very old noisy ac units. There was no hot water in the shower. The water was between cold and lukewarm. When I complained about this the manager said there was nothing she could do about it and that all the rooms are like that. No hot water in the showers. I said that was disgraceful and she said it’s the owners, they don’t care. Those were her exact words. A $400 a night room with no hot water And super noisy,antiquated AC units.
Don’t stay here. The owners are negligent, and the manager is right, they don’t care. They just want to price gouge and make as much money during the summer as they possibly can without providing basic services

Haven Montauk: Perfect Getaway

Haven Montauk is a fantastic spot for a get-away. Being off-season, the value was incredible. It was close to great bars / restaurants and offered complimentary beach bikes and a fire pit at night. Highly recommend.

Room was clean, woman who checked me in was amazing! Overall a great start, we only stayed the night and when I checked out on Sunday the woman was nothing but an absolute \"See you next Tuesday\". I couldn't believe how I was being treated, didn't smile once. I had asked for 15 minutes to finish packing. I pulled my truck up to pack it up and she stormed out of the front office to harass us. It was 11:20. Even if I had been able to get everything together by 11 I still would have left a dissatisfied review after dealing with this woman. She should not be in the business and truly ruined my pleasant weekend. I will never be back to Haven Montauk.

Hidden Gem in Montauk

This is my third time at Haven. They think of everything. The staff is very welcoming and the outdoor shared spaces are very comfortable. Love the bikes and being able to ride all around this peaceful tranquil part of Montauk. Sunset seen from my balcony or a quick walk across the street to the Harbor beach for an even better view.

This was a great hotel. They offered free drinks and had a great pool area and a great fire pit area. The rooms were clean. The only complaint is that there was only one outlet in the bathroom to plug in phone chargers etc. Also, one night we came back and there was no parking and we have a big truck. Overall great hotel and we would definitely stay there again.

The receptionist in the evening was the epitome of pleasantness & warmth..
The kid at reception for the morning shift was the exact opposite, such a pity as other than my interactions with her it was excellent all the way around...

This hotel was great. They had complimentary paddle boards and bikes for guests to use. The pool area was very clean and comfortable and there was also a really nice area with a fire pit to sit or play corn hole. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Really cute place. Private beach access 2 mins away. Bonfire every night. Dog friendly! Comfy beds. The people working there were delightful and the amenities of the place are great.

Bathroom was a tad small & so was the tv. We were ok with that since we were not planning to watch tv, but just a heads up if that’s important to you.

Very cute no frills property! The room was as pictured and we loved the sparkling water and s’mores waiting for us. The bathroom and shower were a little small for 2 of us to get ready at once but no big deal. The fire pit was great, paddle boards were a fun added bonus, and your just across the road from a quiet little beach.

Easy access to the bay area of Montauk. Wonderful staff and clean accommodations. The pool area is quite small and there were LOTS of dogs and families while we were there. There were no rules about not smoking, radio playing or having a dog off the leash by the pool - which sometimes made that experience less than optimal. Otherwise, a nice convenient place to stay for a reasonable price.

I really love this hotel. It is the 2nd time Ive stayed here and will be back. The locations is perfect. You can walk to beach, restaurants and shopping. Its all the \"little\" things: like the bicycles, the comfy pool and seating everywhere, the nightly firepit, the music - very laid back and friendly.

Our Haven for End-of-Summer Getaway

Came here for 4 days for my birthday week and it was perfection! The vibe of the place rocks! Love all the fun common spaces to relax and chill. The firepit and garden area is super relaxing. The pool area is nice and spread out with different places to veg out. And you're steps away from the beach! They provide free beach chairs, paddle boards, bikes, and access to a grill. What more could you ask for?! The room was really clean and pretty spacious - our queen beds were super comfy! I would come back here next summer in a heart beat! You're also super close to restaurants and can bike to Gosman's super quick. Also, Goldberg's Bagel Shop is about a 5 min walk for a quick breakfast. I can't say better things about this place. Such a perfect stay!

We had a great stay at the Haven. It was a group of 6 of us, and we had 3 cars. There was room for all of our cars with no issue. We walked to the beach (about 20 steps away) and watched the sunset, and ended most nights on the property by the firepit. Easy was to restaurants, ice cream, the marina, etc. 10/10 experience, will absolutely be returning.

Great spot! Clean space : room was nicely redone and large. Friendly : staff was sweet and helpful. Location : walkikg distance to beach and to Gosman’s dock. Safe and family/kid-friendly. Amenities: pool great for kids and firepit area absolutely adorable. Overall : great stay for someone who always stays on Emerson in town. This is ok the harborbside and will stay here from now on instead. Formidable stay and getsway!
