Very disappointing experience!
The interaction began when I received a call that my food delivery had arrived. I asked whether it could be brought to my room since I was in the middle of something. I was told no one was available, which was perfectly fine, and I said I would come down shortly. However when I arrived, the staff member repeatedly questioned whether I was the only person staying in my room. After I answered multiple times that I was traveling alone, she continued asking, \"Are you sure?\" in a way that felt accusatory and disrespectful. Being asked once is understandable (perhaps it's standard procedure here), but being repeatedly treated as if I was lying was not. I had to ask her 3 times to please give me my food to even get it. That’s how adamant she was with trying to get me to admit something that was not true.
I also had a poor experience with the bartender after checkin, who acted as though serving me was an inconvenience.
The only reason I'm not giving an even harsher review is because the woman who checked me in was friendly and professional. Unfortunately, the customer service I received afterward completely overshadowed that positive interaction. I extended my stay due to a change in travel plans, but I would not choose this hotel again and this woman should not work in hospitality.

Room wasnt clean upon arrival and even though I had requested housekeeping throughout my stay, all that was done was an empty of the bins and 1 change of the towels. Beds were not made (i didnt leave them in a mess to begin with) let alone a change of bedlinen over my 4 night stay. My bathmat was removed on day 2 and I asked for a replacement and was met with surprise at the front desk on what a batmat was. (Might have been a language barrier). The bed was very comfortable and the front desk staff were helpful (apart from the bathmat). The breakfast was ok. Its a nice hotel but most definitely not worth the price they charged. Its a 5k walk (on some very busy/noisy roads) to the city centre, ir else a cab ride. I get the feeling its a new hotel so they are still finding their feet, Tirana is a lovely city and tourism is really starting to boom. The AC in the room was not working.

We had a fantastic stay at Mercure Tirana and the service truly stood out. From the moment we arrived, the reception team were exceptional — we were kindly allowed an early check-in, and as I was travelling with my niece, she received a complimentary room upgrade, which was a lovely and unexpected touch. A big thank you to the reception staff and the manager for their professionalism and warmth.

The room was beautifully arranged, tasteful, and very comfortable, and it was cleaned daily to a high standard. Breakfast was excellent, and a special mention goes to Valbona, whose care and attentiveness made our mornings feel very welcoming. The food was good and well presented.

Overall, a very comfortable hotel with outstanding hospitality. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it.

All of the above. The staff exhibited flawless hospitality from the moment i walked checked in to checking out. The receptionist was exceptional. The bar staff went above and beyond. The lady doing the restaurant, i have forgotten her name, god forgive me, was exceptional. The staff give a very warm feeling homely feeling.

Room:
The room was clean and spacious with high ceilings. The bathroom was very spacious also. The room has all the essentials from bedroom slippers; bath rob etc. An extra special touch is the balcony with a 360 style entry, exit via bedroom room or bathroom.

Restaurant
If you don’t know what a club sandwich is the restaurant will leave you amazed. I also had the chicken ceaser salad. Mouth watering.

The only thing I would say if youre looking for a hotel bang on in the city this is not the one. It’s only about 6-10 mins away by cab. It a case of balancing far away with class or nearer with less class. The choice is yours.

Not easily accessible to transport and tourist spots, always needed to use a taxi which was expensive. Hotel service wasn’t great, asides from the receptionist Elvira who was very helpful and the lady at breakfast. House keeping didn’t clean the room throughout our stay even though we asked for it, they only made the bed when we were out once, left the dishes and wouldn’t bring toilet paper. I had to ring reception to actually beg for it. The day we got into the room, it was even a half roll of tissue that the previous occupier left that was there for us to use. Not great service at all

The room was not cleaned for two days, it was useless to remind them about cleaning the room. Water is only given in 0.5l small bottles once a day, asking for additional bottles is useless and paid. At the hotel, the employee at breakfast is so intrusive, does not allow you to sit down and eat normally, does not allow you to choose a dish normally, she just climbs into the plate every minute, runs and attracts additional attention to herself, a very unpleasant person. I felt as if I was eating in prison, and this employee does not allow you to relax and have a snack. She constantly talks loudly, very annoying!

This was our first ever visit to Albania and it surpassed all of our expectations and we are already looking to plan another visit. The staff here were simply amazing and extremely helpful. They made our stay one to remember I wish I could give them all a mention by name that was how good they were down to the breakfast host Adrianna and the housekeeper Hatcher. What a well put together team you have at this hotel.
We literally just missed out on trying out the rooftop pool as we came just out of season but that didn’t have any impact on our stay here. We were local to the shops and the bus stop where we even navigated around the city of Tirana which was fun. The whole experience is one that we will remember and would love to return soon!!!

I was given a room with a connecting room. It was not soundproofed and TV noise from the other room was quite irritating. My advice would be to avoid having a connecting room.

I really enjoyed my stay at Mercure hotel. Their service was beyond my expectations. And the space is very beautiful, neat and the room I stayed was nice and very comfortable. Coming back every night throughout my stay to a well laid bed and room.
Really impressed with their service and their staffs especially Adriana, Calbona and Andri made my stay worthwhile and would definitely return and recommend.
The breakfast was my favourite (I look forward to it every morning of my stay with my hubby, and made it easy for me by putting Halal on some of the dishes (was impressed by their thoughtfulness and the dinner from the restaurant is delicious, kudos to the kitchen team.
Downside is the location to the city centre, but the receptionist was always helpful to book taxis for us and how to get around the cities.
I’ll definitely come back to Mercure

I recently had an amazing stay at Mecure Tirana, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the beautiful aesthetics and elegant decorations throughout the property. The atmosphere was both luxurious and welcoming.

The staff were incredibly attentive, kind, and polite, making our stay truly memorable. A special mention must go to Andrea from the breakfast bar, who was an exceptional host. She ensured we had everything we needed throughout our trip, making our mornings delightful.

The receptionist was very professional and went above and beyond to accommodate our request to have rooms close to each other, which we greatly appreciated.

One of the highlights was the rooftop bar and pool. The views of the city at night were breathtaking and provided a perfect backdrop for relaxing evenings.

Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. I would definitely recommend it to others and look forward to returning in the future.

Overall I had a fantastic stay at the new Mercure hotel in Tirana. The best parts being:
a) the rooms - very modern and comfortable with great air condition and water pressure
b) the food - breakfast buffet is really great and both dinners I had at the hotel were great!!!
c) the service - this is the biggest plus of all! Everyone has been so friendly (but I want to especially call out the breakfast manager!). There is a really great attitude to help and fix what needs to be fixed. I had an early departure for a hike, so they made me a to go breakfast bag as I’d miss the breakfast hours. I was away for two days before returning from my hike, and without fuzz they held my luggage in storage for those days.
The only negative is the location. Right now there’s really not much around the hotel. But a lot of construction is going on so I’m sure in a year it will already have changed. Also, a taxi to the city center is only €7-8 and there are several bus lines stopping a few minutes walk away that only takes about 10 minutes and costs about 40 cents. I actually walked several times to see the city, and that took about 40 min to the city center.
Another benefit is that it is on the right side of town to get to the airport quickly (traffic is often bad in Tirana) and to one of the major bus terminals.
Would I stay again - absolutely!

The only cons (critical): noise from outside can be heard in the room, perhaps the pool could be more warm as it was too cold to get in, smaller pillows on the bed.

Brand new hotel that is close to the bus terminal which is great for exploring Albania. The rooftop pool is really enjoyable and has a great view. The gym is very good too. The ladies in charge of the breakfast are super friendly and helpful and breakfast is very tasty as well.
The only downside was that the hotel is right by the main road. Thus, in most rooms you'll experience road noise all night. It didn't disturb my sleep but if it's worth considering.

However on a busy main road so noisy, you will have to get taxi to anywhere because of the location, smart tv did not work for me, rooftop terrace wasn’t open but still a nice chill area to sit and relax regardless. Would’ve liked robes and more options in the tea and coffee station (no sweetner option for diabetics like me, one green tea and one black tea and couple coffee sachets only)

This was my second stay here and probably not my last. The location is perfect for a relaxing day between travelling due to the easy access to the bus terminal and just a short ride to the airport.
The pool area is perfect for chilling and the restaurant have good food (probably the best qofte I have ever had) and very nice staff.

Bassenget og bar på taket var stengt hele uken vi var her. Fordi det ikke var sesong enda. Personalet var hjelpsomme og hotellet var nydelig. Litt langt fra sentrum og lå rett ved motorveien.
