Location is fantastic. Very chilled out, peaceful resort. Staff are very helpful and lovely , Toom on reception was great, Saki at the beach restaurant was polite, funny and very efficient. The room was great, jacuzzi on the balcony, very clean. This hotel is about 20 years old and neighbouring the Banyan Tree (which we did visit for dinner) and a brand new hotel being built directly next door , Anyavee Tub Kaek really needs a renovation, better water sports available, we were charged for use of old paddle boards, the kayaks had holes so not available. Neighbouring hotels offer a range of clear perspex ksyaks, brand new paddle boards and kayaks.
That said we have had a wonderful 3 days here and welcomed the tranquility after busy Railay. It was a price, fantastic location,

The room was very clear. I stayed on the 7th floor and had an ocean view. It was stunning. There’s construction Nextdoor during the day but I couldn’t hear anything at the pools, beach or in my room. They provide you with a beach bag for your stay, flip flops, slippers and a robe. The all inclusive breakfast was lovely and faces the ocean. I would happily stay there again.

The staff is extremely courteous and helpful. Nita and the rest of the front desk staff are simply the best. Breakfast is superb. The resort is older but immaculately maintained. Laid back atmosphere. Great for older visitors and young families. Young singles might not enjoy all of the calmness and peace and quiet.

I was abit skeptical after reading reviews on here and on google regarding this place and even considered booking elsewhere but it was such a lovely stay! The rooms were amazing, the staff were super helpful, it’s a perfect location on the beach. Couldn’t fault it. The food was decent too.

But the downside is that it’s is away from the main area of Ao Nang, there isn’t any shops around the hotel.
The taxi service outside the hotel is an absolute rip off, charging 600bhat to go to Ao Nang, better to use Grab/bolt app for about 100-300bhat.

We read a bunch of bad reviews on Google and booked this place anyway, primarily because we booked late and there weren't too many options left for the high season dates we wanted. We really hoped it wouldn't be so bad. But almost everything that the bad reviews said was true.

First the pros

The resort is at a great location - right in the center of Tubkaek Beach. The views are amazing, the beach is calm, the sunsets are gorgeous and the vibes are grown up. This is not a spring break beach.

Now the Cons

The resort is old and tired, the rooms smell moldy (in fact we didn't turn the AC on because it made the room smell awful), the breakfast was meh, the towels were stained and raggedy, and the cupboards were full of dust and spider webs. To top it all, the staff is just plain awful. We booked two rooms for a family of 4 (two adults and two teens) and they gave us our rooms really far apart and made no attempts to move us closer at any point during our 4 night stay. They are attitude was worse than a govt. employee.

We avoided eating at the in house restaurants because another reviewer had posted that they got food poisoning.

Even the 4 island tour that the resort booked us was really subpar. The boatman didn't speak any english and really struggled to maneuver the long-tail boat.

There are many great options on Tubkaek beach. Stay there instead.

View was wonderful. Room was of an odd design.

We had a Seaview room with a spa bath not in a bathroom but the same room causing the tiles to be wet & consequently the room. Water Luke warm at best. There was constant light coming from a window that had once upon a time had a curtain stopping the hallway light so no way now to prevent it. The view was fabulous but the design of the room was frankly, weird.

Anyavee Tubkaek Beach Resort was like spending 6 days in a wonderful dream. I cried when I left because I just wanted to stay.

We were a bit hesitant after seeing some of the reviews about the staff and building maintenance. The Thai sun and the sea are very harsh on a building but, despite that, I thought the resort was maintained very well. And the staff treated us like royalty. Toom was a gem; she was so attentive to our every need!

Our family of 4 stayed in a 2-bedroom beachside villa and it was, honestly, the most beautiful and amazing location we have ever experienced. The villa felt luxurious and spacious with plenty of space for our two teens to get comfortable. Tubkaek Beach is quiet and full of natural beauty (just how we like it). We rented a paddleboard and kayak, the kids chased crabs on the beach, and a couple of monitor lizards ambled in the yard as we played in our private pool. We came away completely refreshed and reinvigorated. Thank you!!!

This location is a 4 star resort, but it didn’t feel that way at all. We were always treated like royalty and the staff was amazing.

I loved our 2 bedroom, kitchenette, walk out patio with pool. It then walked directly out to our private beach, which was very clean. The beach bar and restaurant were also just feet from our patio. So convenient! The food and drink was amazing. The view from the breakfast restaurant was additionally breathtaking. It was a beautiful treat every morning. My bed was very firm and a bit uncomfortable for my stiff back, but the other bed was softer. We really had no need to leave the resort unless we wanted to sight see.

I visited during the rainy season in June and it only rained periodically. However, the rain never lasted long and nor did it prevent us from doing the things we wanted to do.

On site travel coordinators assisted with private island tours with authentic long mirror boats that picked us up right from our resort. No driving to other sites was necessary. When we wanted to visit Ao Nang. The resorted coordinated a driver for us to travel to and from our destinations.

If you’re looking for the quieter side of Krabi, with less tourism and private attention, then Tubkaek beach is the destination for you.

Standards of the hotel remain the same since 9 years ago and they made improvements to their infrastructure and facilities.
Customer service from front desk to resturant to poolside to conceige were tip top.
Never a wrong choice to stay here for the peace and tranquility. View of the sea and mountains are magnificent!

Wonderful stay. Hotel has huge potential and staff is extremely friendly, however with training can be exceptional. The language barrier is problematic. The restaurant at the beach needs a well trained English speaking manager to run logistics. Meals ordered are not served at the same time to the table and food is cold. The beach is not ideal but tge sunsets amazing. Overall loved our stay thank you.

Lovely resort at an affordable rate

Just returned from a wonderful 5 night stay here. The staff are very friendly and the resort is well kept. The highlight is the view and location.easy enough to rent a long tail boat to the islands for around 1800 baht for three hours. If you’re looking for a peaceful stay on the beach then this is the place for you. Recommend a rental car as it’s a long way from Ao Nang and tuk tuks would be expensive if you wanted to venture out every night.
We’ve already booked up for Easter vacation.

The rooms were a big disappointment. They were large but very dated. The beds were the most uncomfortable beds I have ever had at any hotel ever. I would compare the beds to one you would have in a pull out sleeper sofa. Definitely not what I was expecting for the rating of this hotel. The view was the only nice thing about the room. I would never book a stay here again.

Very nice resort located a fair distance away from Krabi in a very peaceful and serene setting. Ideal spot for a quiet romantic getaway. Lots of very nice tropical vegetation. Small but nice private beach. Two pools (one extremely nice on the second level and the other one close to the beach (that requires a fair amount of maintenance (grout and tiles missing all over). Extremely friendly and happy staff. Very good and varied breakfast buffet located in the upper restaurant, which commands amazing views of the bay and islands.
Some cons: Resort is far from Krabi or other villages (so cab rides are required). Only two other restaurant options located on the beach outside of the resorts, so not much choices if you want to have lunch/dinner at reasonable prices. Very nice restaurant by the beach at this resort but prices are quite high. Although the resort is isolated, prices should not be jacked-up for that reason). This property needs some required upkeep (some of the tiles of pathways). Beds are quite firm but ask for a pad. The WiFi is very weak and unreliable (which should not be the case for a pricey 4.5 star resort). Management should consider getting a stronger booster and also have password login requirement to avoid having anybody connected. Management should consider adding fresh squeezed orange juice at breakfast (because resorts of that magnitude and price usually have it). Finally, the resort is losing some marks because it is too pricey for the value you get.

Enjoyed my stay at Anyavee. Customer service, food and facilities were all great. Beach is small and just ok for the area, but better beaches are a scooter or taxi ride away. Only spoiler is other guests there. Some people.. uh nationalities, dont understand consideration of others and it can be a bit noisy and irritating with their bad kids and lack of manners (没素质）。But thats not the fault of the hotel, they did their best to mitigate them, apologizing for them and trying to control their bad behavior.

If you like mosquitoes this is your place. Stale water everywhere. The water in all there fountains were full of tadpoles the size of quarters. Frogs and mosquitoes everywhere. Very dirty. Does not look like anything in the picture. We had a private villa where everyone from the beach and other guests from the resort were walking in and out of all night. Construction work next door with the sweet sound of metal being cut all day. I can go on and on about how bad this place was. We were suppose to be where for 4 night but decided to leave after their first night.

Is a ten minute drive to closest town! A 300 bht taxi trip either way. Or 600 to go to next town, peaceful if you don’t want to do any activities but sit by pool and beach. Otherwise you paying dearly for travel

If you want a nice quiet stay then it doesn’t get any better than this resort.

Pros
The view from the beach is spectacular. The best we’ve seen and that includes Aonang beach and Koh Phi Phi. The beach view looks across and out to more than a dozen gorgeous islands jutting out of the sea. It is a view to die for.
The beach itself is soft white sand going slowly into the ocean. You can walk out 100 yards before it’s over your head. And there is great shade under the trees, enough for everyone and for the whole day.
Our room was huge, with a modern shower and bathroom.
The breakfast is the best we’ve had in Thailand. Lots to choose from and a view to end all views from the sitting area.
The staff were friendly and super helpful.
The hotel is beautiful. If you want, you can get a pool access room, which is great if you have really young kids

Cons
If you want lots of restaurant choices, shopping, or a party scene - this is not it. There are 4 resorts on this semiprivate beach and no other services in the area. Each one has a restaurant and there are 2 other restaurants.
The prices in the Anvayee restaurant are on the high end, but you can walk down the beach 200 m for other choices that are more reasonable. You can also get a shuttle into Aonang but we did not feel the need.

We would go back to the Anvayee again. It is very special to us.

This hotel had a delicious complimentary breakfast buffet. The pools on either side of the resort were great, as well as the view of the beach on the property. However that is all you pay for when you stay at this resort: the view. This resort is so secluded that you have no choice but to pay a steep cab fare to the nearest market or purchase at ridiculous resort prices. Our sheets also had to be changed FOUR TIMES and we still had stains on them! Went to get a room change and the alternate room had a bug on the headboard, alive and well. Spoke with the manager and she was very accommodating/kind and upgraded us to the sea view villa and unfortunately, more stained sheets. The original king suite with sea view was also dated and run-down. Do not recommend this resort to anyone who is looking to get their money’s worth, especially in terms on cleanliness.

This resort is not close to anything. It is very lovely and well cared for. The taxi service to town and shopping areas are VERY expensive, the drinks seemed a bit watered down.
The sunsets were spectacular, the lotus in bloom were beautiful. The food was very good.

Quiet and relaxed - stunning beach

This is a lovely resort at Tubkaek Beach, a more beautiful and less busy alternative to Aonang Beach (by car or scooter about 20 minutes away). The resort is well designed and the beach is simply stunning. Staff was very friendly and helpful, although some of them don’t speak English very well. The lady who helps with booking tours to the islands etc. is also very capable and helpful. The whole area around Tubkaek Beach is really quiet and relaxed, and feels like a tropical paradise. There are many beautiful restaurants right at the beach: the ones that belong to the resorts are quite pricy, although they typically offer a great setting to watch the sunset. A five minute walk will take you to e.g. Tubkaek Seafood or Mama Kitchen & Moon Bar - both very nice restaurants (with a equally great setting) that are significantly cheaper. We had our own car, so it was also easy to get to Aonang or Krabi in the evening for shopping, dinner, or a massage (interestingly, everything seems to be much more expensive at Tubkaek Beach, e.g. a massage is typically twice the price). Overall, if you like it a bit quieter and relaxed, this is a fantastic place: we will definitely come back.

Great resort with your own private beach. It's a little ways away from the actual main part of the city but provides a great getaway. There is BOGO Happy Hour at the restaurant on property and the food there is wonderful.

Only two words come to mind when I think about Anyavee - CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

The staff was so attentive, so helpful, so gracious. Anything (even slight) that I pointed out not to my liking was met with immediate action and resolution.

I didn't want to leave to be honest, and I am definitely planning to go again the next time I'm in Krabi.

Rooms were nice and spacious.
Beach was beautiful and serene.
Breakfast was delicious with a fairly wide variety
And the cocktails were most enjoyable (especially during happy hour).

Bow and Ko were especially exceptional in the services they provided.

Location of the hotel is a bit far from the town, I guess that’s a good point. The most highlighting is the location of the hotel with the nice beach in front of you and the beautiful view with the cliffs. The hotel at night has barely lights unlike the other hotels we saw along the water which were very nicely illuminated. The rooms were not so great and they should consider renovating them. The service wasn’t good. All the waiters were gathered up by the register and chatting among them even though they were friendly, poor service during breakfast.

STUNNING view - best in Krabi I’d day. It’s nice to be away from the hustle of Ao Nang, but you are sacrificing the options for singing out and activity here. If you like the quiet, and don’t mind staying in the resort, this place is great. There are boats going out to the islands, but this is also more expensive than. Leaving from Ao Nang because they don’t carry as many people. Rooms smelled musty but this may not be the case during dry season (we were there in October). Would not recommend this area unless you have your own transportation - expensive to get around.

Great hotel location fantastic views. Food is terrible breakfast little choices takes forever for empty good to be refilled. Normal restaurant not great have to eat out is recommended.

Peaceful Resort with Amazing Sunset Views

We stayed at the Jacuzzi Villa, which is right next to the pool and beach. As mentioned by other reviewers, the hotel is pretty secluded, ~45mins from the airport and Ao Nang, and prices are a bit on the high side for Thailand due to the service charge.

Our activities were arranged with the reception. Kudos to the receptionists as they provided suggestions to the better companies to choose from. Pick ups were also always on time, much appreciated.

Similar to other reviews, one thing that can be improved on is definitely staff attitude. We have experienced way better service attitudes in lower-end resorts.

However, it is still a good resort to visit, especially for those who want peace and quiet. A must to do here is to order a drink and watch the beautiful sunset.

The staff was very warm and welcoming when i arived. They helped me plan day trips and even recommend things for me to see and do while in Krabi. The hotel its self was nice beautiful grounds with ponds all over. There is a swing under a tree at the beach and beach chairs also.

Very nice staff, definitely Krabi prices even for a hotel with mostly Thai residents staying in it. Clean hotel, remember it is tropical Southern Thailand so there will be some mosquitos, flies, geckos, etc, but that is normal and to be expected in that area. The fixed prices of the tour and taxi are killer so be prepared for that. Also, even though the breakfast is free the lunch and dinner are not and if you do not travel out of the resort you are stuck there to eat at the restaurant which is at normal western prices. But if you can get over that, it is a beautiful location with amazing designs and floral decor. The beach and pools are also clean and amazing.

Overall I was disappointed with my experience at this resort. The front desk employees were kind when we arrived but all future encounters with the staff were disappointing. We ate lunch and dinner at the restaurant by the pool and all the staff serving us looked miserable and unhappy. The food was great but the employees were not. Anytime you eat at the restaurant you also get charged an automatic 10% service fee which makes the meals much more expensive than restaurants just down the road or the beach. I recommend eating out if you do stay at the resort. The pool did have a number of missing tiles as mentioned in other reviews. My friend also fell through part of the pool deck when a wooden board broke under his weight. The breakfast was the best part of the visit and there are a number of great options but overall I would not stay at this resort again. The resort isn't the cleanest and we even found a cockroach in our bed one of the nights. When I return to Krabi I will be staying elsewhere.

Too far away from town, too expensive to get shuttles to town.
WiFi was poor quality.
One of the luggage bags was dropped on its wheel on arrival and now is damaged.
Our room had a spa which was meant to have a natures feel of being permanently open to outside which was really just that our bathroom didn’t have windows being a pillar frame facing outside, so all the mosquitoes got in our room. Staff were good enough to offer us a different downgraded room which was suffice as all windows could be closed. However we found that the spa leaked from the bottom and formed a pool of water in the bathroom. We found that the shower light was not working where you would think these things would be checked and attended to as these small things make a difference if they are addressed. There were used plates from the previous guests outside the room for 2 days before it was collected by staff. Even when staff had been in our room on different occasions it was still missed.

Beautiful traditional Resort

Loved everything about the place. Beach in front and mountains at the back - what an amazing view all around!
The staff make the difference - everyone go above and beyond to make you happy.
We are definitely coming back next year with a lot more of our friends.
The place is quiet - but you can also get a taxi to take you to Klong Muang (10mins) - with a lot of restaurants and bars by the beach. Which is what we did every night.

Beautiful surroundings, restaurants facing beach

It was a short stay for us as we arrived in the afternoon and need to leave early morning for our flight. We requested for 2 connecting rooms but to our surprise, the front desk upgrade our room to 2 villas next to each other. Beautify jacuzzi, spacious room. Hotel staff advised us to take a taxi to Aonang town (THB600 one way). Good breakfast spread and beautiful setting at the restaurant balcony. Its a pity that we've to rush through our breakfast to catch our flight.

The staff are very helpful and friendly, the hotel was right on the edge of the beach and the views are spectacular enhanced by the fact the long tailed boats come next to the hotel to take you around the islands you can see across the bay
The only downside I could see is that the hotel had numerous steps to your accomodation and could be tiresome for those of poor mobility

Such a beautiful resort! The girls at the front desk were always pleasant and professional. Their English was excellent so communication was easy. The restaurant served great food at reasonable prices. My only negative feedback would be that the senior women servers at the restaurant were not friendly and the wi-fi was terrible. But, when in paradise it’s nice to not worry too much about your emails!

Nice and peacefull

The hotel was nice smaller than I thought it would be. The location for the beach is great the beach is very nice. Food in the restaurant is Ok and the drinks are as well OK. The only thing is that it is located where you cannot walk to any other bars or restaurants you must take a taxi. Although this is not difficult as taxis are just outside of the hotel. The internet access was slow at times
