This location is phenomenal. Right on a beautiful beach. But there is not much to do so if your not into just being chill it may not be for you.
Not to be petty but the staff work against this place they are
Pinching every penny and limit towels, sheet changes, shampoo replacement and yes even toilet paper. This stingy approach takes some of the shine off what otherwise is a really great place.

I mistakenly booked the wrong dates, so when I arrived at the hotel to check in, it was actually the day we were schedules to check out, so the hotel didn't have a room for us.

(This of course was my mistake). The hotel was fully booked for the entire month so we ended up having to go elsewhere.

Thankfully our driver who picked us up from the airport stayed with us and took us to a nearby hotel and ensured we had a room for the night. Tup Kaek Resort wasn't helpful at all, and actually seemed a little annoyed.

I reached out to Expedia customer service to see if there was any way I could get a refund or credit to my account, acknowledging that it was my mistake but hoping maybe we could get even a partial refund to offset the extra cost.

Apparently the Hotel marks the stay as \"completed\" even if the guest never checks in. I obviously had no idea I had booked the incorrect dates until we showed up there, but it would have been nice to get a courtesy call from the hotel to inquire as to why we had not checked in. Because the hotel marked the booking as completed, expedia is unable to offer any refund or credit and the hotel is unwilling to offer anything.

Of all the places we have stayed in SE asia, everyone has been SO lovely and accommodating but unfortunately I didn't feel this resort was friendly at all.

They charged us 100% of our stay up front, over $900. When I broke my foot and had to cancel over a week before our date to be there, they kept the entire amount. Usually for lodging reservations (over most of the places we've stayed in the world!) a 48 hour cancellation policy is standard. To not refund any of our payment is just wrong. I won't visit the place in the future. I suggest you think hard before reserving a room at this establishment.

My recent stay left me with mixed feelings. Unfortunately, the front office reception staff didn't meet my expectations. They seemed disengaged and not particularly helpful.
As for the restaurant, I found the atmosphere to be lacking warmth and friendliness among the staff, which was disappointing, especially during breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, it was rather underwhelming—I'd rate it a 3 out of 10. I noticed that certain food items were consistently running low, and despite being there for four days, they were never replenished after 9:30 AM.
Overall, there's definitely room for improvement in both service and dining experiences. Thank you for your attention to these matters.

Aa the resort itself is quite isolated, there are only a handful of other restaurant options aling the beach.

Stayed at Tup Kaek Sunset Beach Resort and the location was absolutely perfect — quiet, peaceful, and right on the beach with stunning sunset views. Rooms were comfortable and well-kept, and staff were always warm and helpful. A great spot if you want to relax away from the crowds but still be close enough to explore Krabi.

It’s was a ok stay! The resort is nice! Great pool and beach, we had a issue with the laundry the laundry came back shrunk and does not really fit us anymore, from a 650 bill but didn’t wipe out our bill just knocked 200 Bhat. And that was after a long conversation.

Staff went above and beyond to make our honeymoon special. Easy to communicate in advance and very helpful during stay for booking excursions. Was peaceful and relaxing. Can rent scooters to check out other areas, but was so happy in this cove. Fabulous masseuses. Free kayaking. Snorkeling is good too! Our favorite restaurant was right next door. We cant wait to visit again!

This small resort was incredible! It was truly paradise. The restaurant food was pricey compared to Thai dishes outside of hotel but the Thai dishes were very delicious. The western dishes were ok, but sufficed to mix up eating Thai for every meal. Breakfast was included and had amazing view of ocean and buffet style, very delicious. The staff was all so kind and welcoming and very helpful! Would stay here again!

Let me start by saying this ... The views , the rooms , and the staff at this hotel can't be faulted ... That's why we came back for a second year !!the problem is that When you are meant to be Paying for your room \"On Arrival \"....that should be exactly what it should be ...When you find out that you have already been charged to your Credit Card which you only used to reserve the room with ...it sets the tone of things before you even start your holiday ....there just seemed to be an air of mistrust in general , this however seemed to be more because it seems a lot of the clients are only staying a few days ...quick turn around so maybe it has caused issues before ...however after some discussions this was resolved .. breakfasts are buffet and plenty of choice , only complaint would be that the coffee was from a machine and was challenging to enjoy , the food otherwise was ok ...if a tad un adventurous ...drinks were ok although I felt the cocktails could be better , we had a deluxe beach front room same as the year before , beautiful ...however the extremely spacious bed was very very firm and not particularly comfortable to sleep in at all ..very easy to get taxis to other places

What an Amazing resort! A hidden gem of beachfront resorts in Krabi. We had the beachfront room with direct access to the beach, and WHAT AN AMAZING VIEW!!! The price was extremely affordable and would consider low for what the resort has to offer. This should definitely be a 5 star resort. The hot buffet breakfast was a plus. The restaurants had delicious food and drinks. Dont look any further if chosing a place to stay. We searched and searched for the perfect, romantic, beachfront resort in Krabi and found it here! And the staff made you feel welcomed and right from the start.♥️

An amazing peaceful beach side resort. A bit of a hike from Ao nang but the seclusion and privacy is a lovely break from the hustle and bustle. If you just want to relax and chill on the beach this is the perfect place. The view of the Hong islands is incredible too.

I love this place. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and well maintained.The rooms were quit, clean and comfortable. (The beds take a little getting used to) and I slept very well. They offer deep soaking tubs and I like them very much. The two pools are beautiful and very well maintained. The private beach is beautiful and great for swimming, sunbathing or just watching the sun set. The breakfast buffet was very good and the views were great and the staff was very kind and friendly. The hotel is in a secluded area so we rented a car for much our stay. My only real complaints are the after breakfast menu was pretty limited for foreigners and it could use some improvements in the kitchen. The other was due to the secluded area it would be a great addition if the hotel could offer a shuttle into an area where you could pick up needed items even a 7-11 run would be great. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will be returning someday.

I really loved the tropical feel of this hotel. I loved the uncrowded, private beach that had plenty of beds, altho a bit old & uncomfy.
There are a few beds under the trees on the beach giving good shade but I think more shade is needed.
We would have liked to see some chairs around & in the room, it lacked anywhere to sit.
We had a swim up room which was lovely. Definitely recommend having one if you want to swim.
The staff were all very friendly & helpful.
The breakfast let it down a little.
It was just about adequate but sparse if you arrived later rather than early.
Overall, it's a very beautiful, peaceful little gem. I'm sure we'll be returning!

Fabulous resort that exceeds expectation

Stayed at a hotel close by in April , but thought we would try this .. what a great decision , better in every department and by quite a distance , From the minute we arrived all the staff were really cheerful , always ready to help and very attentive , we had a deluxe beach front room , spotless and with everything we needed , great WiFi , large smart TV and maybe one of the best views anywhere in the world , that along with maybe one of the hardest working attentive maids , who went above and beyond to make our room look fabulous every morning , The restaurant was great with traditional southern Thai food as well as plenty of other choices , breakfast buffet was delicious with something to please everyone , again the restaurant staff were great and always ready to get you another drink . The resort is in a nice fairly relaxed quiet area .. but 20 mins in a taxi 600baht ..and your in the busy spots , ..only regret is we were only there for 10 days ... Can't wait to return

We asked them to check out for half an hour, but they refused and asked us for an additional amount if we checked out after 12:00. I ask the resort management to facilitate the procedures and serve the guests well so that visitors can book at this resort.

The staff team are very helpful and nice. The location isn't ideal in terms of getting to other main neighborhoods, but is great if you just need a beach escape.

The taxi service provided by the hotel to/from Krabi Town is quite steep...

Receptionist was a little annoyed that Expedia didn’t communicate our booking; rest of the staff were excellent.
Food was delicious, good variety. Pool by the room with sun beds was a dream. Dinner on the beach, watching the sunset was great.
Only negative points of the place was the pillows and bed were too firm and the private beach by the hotel was not cleared of wood and bric brac daily.

Pretty view/ nice staff/ room smelled like mold

Positives:
- The staff was incredibly kind and hard working. They don't seem to take a break!
- Breakfast was yummy and the views of the beach were pretty.
- Pool is relaxing, beach area around here is gorgeous
- Easy to book trip to islands (though it's more expensive than booking outside the hotel!)

Negatives:
- Room smelled like mold, we asked for help and they gave us some essential oil the first night that smelled worse than the mold.
- Bed was hard as a rock
- Shower did not drain properly. So you had the lovely sky view but were standing in a few inches of dirty water.
- They were super stingy about things like beach towels.... and yet they changed the bed sheets every day which seems incredibly unnecessary.
- The restaurant was not very good (breakfast was the highlight). They had a christmas eve party that was quite the spectacle... very loud. I think people come to this area to relax. Perhaps some chill, low key, quiet live music would have been better suited.

Super awesome beachfront hotel. Like literally I will walk out of my room to the beach. And from the same beach, I can take a boat ride to Ko Hong and other islands. Wednesday they even have a Fireman show, where they have performers dancing with fire, and a all you can eat awesome Thai Buffet at an affordable price. The hotel also arranged for us pick up service to and from the airport. They also helped us in setting up a baby cot for our child. Everything was all set up before our arrival. Super helpful staff. My bag broke and they even sew it for me for free, when I asked them if they have any safety pins.

Five star location, three star hotel.

This is a three star hotel with a five star location. The beachfront rooms are amazing. The staff was incredibly friendly and kind. Its service is limited by management like when it comes to reception. There is very limited service. We stayed for a month and the room was nicely kept by our wonderful housekeeper Da.
The resturant food was okey, there are better resturants along the beach. I do not reccomend the massage, at all. The next door resort has a great spa.
The kitchen staff were all willing to serve vegan breakfast food for me with what they had, very nice.

Great hideaway

Very nice hotel on Tup Kaek Beach. The location is away from the hustle and bustle of tourists areas like Ao Nang beach. The property is well maintained, the staff is very friendly. There is a seafood restaurant within walking distance. A national park is about 10mins walk away. To explore the surrounding area, you would consider renting a scooter.

Good View, Mediocre Experience

The hotel is ok. The rooms are fairly clean, the beds are comfortable, the gardens maintained and fairly free of mosquitoes. Overpriced for what you receive, I paid $175 US per night and due to work stayed in the hotel for a week. The breakfast was again, ok. The cheddar cheese was not cheddar, the ham, the sausage were not quality. The coffee was awful. It was missing the touches of a quality hotel.

The view is fantastic, but the beach itself is not nice. If you are looking for white sand and clear water this is not for you.
The area is culturally barren, there is almost nothing nearby.
You must walk 4k, rent a scooter or get a car.
Krabi in high season is inundated with tourists , the long boats schlep back and forth to the islands where you will find plastic, floating bottles debris and beacoup tourists trying to snorkel in murky water. The hotel is in an isolated spot and you feel a bit like a sitting duck waiting to be overcharged. Nothing out of this world. The restaurant serves up food aimed at being neutral, not flavorful to align with tourist palates.
The hotel obviously underpays the staff because they seem unmotivated, on their cellphones, and alienated in the work place. If I am paying $175 a night, can't they pay their staff a living wage?

We were greeted by friendly staff, showed to our room and explained everything in detail. Walked down to the beach which is only 2 minutes away (if that) and were in awe at the amazing views. Thank you to all of the staff for making this two day trip feel like a week.

Great Hotel at beach and blended into trees

The hotel was all we expected, clean, well appointed and serviced by some of the nicest people we have ever met. We had beach room 2411, wonderful views, fantastic bathroom, so well appointed, large bed (took me a week to find my wife in it), hard mattress which suited us. Couple of points to mention about room, could have done with a small drawer unit to keep undies etc in and the toilet was very low. Older people like us would have benefitted if there had been a hand rail nearby to assist with rising. Also outside shower could do with a hand rail for oldies to cling onto. Breakfast had everything we needed and more, a new provisions manager has obviously made a difference and the restaurant staff were so kind and helpful, especially Tiu, he went the extra mile and proved to be a real asset to the hotel. Location was great the entire hotel blended in to the trees and from the sea you would not know it was there, a lot of thought went into the design of the place. Beach Buffet meal was very disappointing, when we got there at 7.30 nearly all the food was gone, so we ate out at local places within easy car ride. Thought the mini bar prices were extortionate 60 for a small beer that you could buy in the supermarket for 20, so we didn't use it except for water. All in all, we had a wonderful holiday and health permitting, we hope to visit again.

Stay away !!

Hotel staff doesn't understand english and that was a major hindrance during our stay. This hotel has only salads & sandwiches in vegetarian menu which was our choice. Don't even try their pizza. The staff at reception is over smart, they will pretend as if they have not understood your requirement but in actual they have understood and are unwilling to help. On my wife's birthday, I requested them for a cake which a hotel of this stature refused saying that they don't have cake in menu. Please be aware, housekeeping staff may steal water bottles from your rooms and at the same time you get charged for it, this despite our complain to the hotel. The hotel manager has nothing to offer and cannot communicate. If you want to see the difference than please visit nearby Amari hotel, the staff speaks english, they have excellent pizza's to offer and the manager is really helpful & forthcoming.

On the plus side, i have only 1 point to present and that is the view from the beach facing villas.

Great hotel in the beach!

We had a wonderful stay at Tup Kaek Sunset Beach Resort recently. Our room was nice & comfortable and roomy, verandah looking out to the beach was great which we utilised a bit as the weather wasn't always sunny and it was nice to still be outside when it rained, etc. The staff & food service was great as was the new pool! I would definitely recommend this resort if your looking for a great resort on a quiet beach.

Quiet, remote hotel beach location.

The hotel accommodation was very nice. We stayed in one of the deluxe huts and it had everything you needed. It was also about 1 minute walk from both the beach and pools.
The staff are very friendly and assisted where necessary.
The only down side was location. Although there are a few other hotels within walking distance and you can go on boats to the islands, if you wanted to go into Aonang Beach you had to get a taxi there and back which costs 1200 Th Bach.

Best hotel I've ever stayed at!

This hotel is pretty much located at the edge of civilization (a good thing). It was the perfect romantic getaway for my wife and me. I think their 3-star rating is misleading; I think it's due to the hotel's small size and relative limitation in amenities (ie. there are no on-site gyms or spas). However, I think the hotel's small size kept it quaint and homely. Besides, there are several other resorts next to this hotel that can be accessed by a short (2 - 10 minute) walk along the beach and you can just as easily use any of their restaurants or spas if you choose. To top it off, the staff were extremely friendly (extra shout-out to the always smiling staff at the parking lot/front gate). In conclusion, I highly recommend this hotel.

Lovely hotel. We payed for the Grand Deluxe Beach front room, but unfortunately it was not as good as the Deluxe Beach front rooms. The outdoors restaurant was located between the beach and the room, spoiling the view. The bathroom and the jacuzzi were very nice, but they had no privacy. They face the restaurant and the windows have no curtains, which means that anyone sitting there can see you having a shower. Other than that, really nice place. Good food, friendly staff.

Extraordinarily beautiful beach.

We had originally planned to go to Phuket but had a hard time finding something on the beach - So glad we stayed in Krabi instead! The sunset was stunning beyond description. This location is quiet - best for people who want a relaxing getaway (Phuket is glaring by comparison). You can get to Ao Nang by taxi for a little more night life. There are many sea day trips that depart from this area - we used Kon Tiki, also recommended. Dragon Crest Mountain half a mile away provided gorgeous jungle hiking with breathtaking views at the top. We stayed here 4 nights and could have used more. Buffet breakfast is great. Food is otherwise so-so. You do get to eat by the sea which is lovely but you will find more authentic, tasty and less expensive food at small roadside places. Would definitely stay here again.

Beach paradise with amazing staff

Beautiful beach, nice rooms, amazing staff... and that a great price! Yes, they lack a spa or gym but you wont miss it - go kayak (complementary) or for long walks/run along the amazing beach, swim or grab a massage at a local place close by.

Nice hotel on the beach

I would only stay here if you got a beach side room, which was great. Staff friendly and moved us to a quieter room with no problems. Food has improved since we stayed there last year. They are building new apt and fantastic pool , can't wait to see what they are like. Will come again.

Location remote, great resort nevertheless.

The room was very spacious, staff all very courteous and polite. The view from the beachfront rooms are absolutely to worth it. Bathtub is large and outdoor shower also comes with good water pressure and view to the beach. Bring your own mosquito spray as the hotel does not provide.

Nearby amenities such as restaurants are a little far, so rent a bike and the nearest town is 10 mins away. Get drinks and snacks there too.

Beautiful Resort

The hotel and room were lovely. The pictures do not even start to show how nice it is. I really loved the beach front bungalow with its porch that had a fantastic view of the ocean and sunsets. It's not much of a swimming beach, but it has a pool. The restaurant was a little pricey, so we rented a scooter and drove about 10 minutes to get some delicious local food. It was a wonderful way to end our Thailand vacation.

Staff Going the Extra Mile

Fantastic experience.The staff went the extra mile on two occasions. First was to lend us free slippers when I called up housekeeping that my husband's scandals were wet. Instead of bringing one pair, they brought two pairs. The staff was observant as the sizes of both slippers were different where they fit our feet size. 2nd occasion was when one of the tiny screw of my husband's spectacles was spoiled and the receptionist was able to \"temporary\" fixed it.

Beach, Hotel & sunset

We stayed a night at Sunset beach resort and was pleasantly surprised at the beach front rooms. Rooms are uniquely designed, with a bathroom to admire. The rain shower area was alfresco, with a little window to enjoy the lapping waves while showering. There was also a nice big tub thats great for couples. Best thing about the room was that sliding doors open up right onto the beach, sitting on comfy deck chairs with unparalleled views of the isolated beach right up front. You can even hire a longtail boat to take you to Hong Island, and they dock right outside on the beach in front of your room. Best stay I had in Krabi. Staff was helpful and very pleasant, with great food at the in house restaurant.

Value is not compatible with the fees charged

After we checked-in our room, we found that there isn't bath towels in the room and we called to receptionist to ask for it. We were told that they have no bath towel but we would have it on the next day. Isn't it shocking? Only an hour later, they delivered the bath towels to our room and I could feel the heat of the towel (guess it was fresh from the dryer).
There is no spa facilities. Only 3 types of spa services they could offer which is quite disappointing. The swimming pool is pretty small and we couldn't find any shower by the pool to wash away the sand, neither near to the beach area.

on a lovely quiet beach

We were lucky enough to be staying in one of the beach front bungalows, which was pretty much perfect. I hung my hammock in the trees in front and spent my days switching between the loungers on the beach, the loungers on our deck and the hammock, it was 7 days of bliss. And at night when I lay on the beach staring at the stars there was barely a sole around. And the view across the ocean to the adjacent islands is magnificent. Those are the plus points. However if I had one of the rooms behind the beachfront suites I am nots sure how I would feel about this hotel. The food is average, and as most people have pointed out soon gets quite boring. And when the tide goes out, the beach loses some of its allure. But we had a great stay - just try and get a beachfront room, you will not be disappointed!

Great relaxing place

We got a room that walks out to the beach and it was awesome. Most importantly, the price was reasonable at about SGD110 per night. The hotel is out of the way and far from anything else but you get a quiet and secluded beach. It's perfect for couples and family who just wants to relax and do nothing else.

2nd visit Low Season (mid October) FABULOUS

We traveled Low Season, splurged on Grand Deluxe Beach Villa, which was worth every penny. Huge gigantic separate shower that holds 4, and a sunken tub, and bathroom doors that open up to your private deck on beach. They are remodeling mostly all cottages, and all look amazing. This is our second time. We love it here because the beach isn't packed, and you've got longboat guys ready to take you to the islands...below is a bit of my blog with some helpful info: Taxi mafia 400baht from hotel to klong moung.
Found tuktuk guy who picks us up and takes us where we want. He's based out of klong muang (first town near Tubtaek)

Pleasant and quiet stay

Stayed in Sheraton, Beyond and here. This is the most private stay, cottage is small but nice and clean. The staff here is very very nice and friendly, make us very happy, better than staff in the other two hotels. The breakfast is amazing, the best in these three. Beach is in the shadows, so very cool, while it is hot to stay on the beach of Beyond. The beach is not very large and the seaview from Beyond is better, but good for this rate.The only downside is spa is not open because of maintainese.

Lovely room, has a pool which is good but only medium in size. Frustrating was unable to get food between 10:30 and 12noon as they stop serving between breakfast and lunch. Our bathroom had a full-glass wall with only a small strip of frosting, so very limited privacy when using the loo or shower (!) but if you're ok with those few things it's a nice resort on a great beach.

This hotel is not close to anything - which is half of the appeal of this place. The food options are limited and there is not really any nightlife. The privacy is great and the place was pretty quiet. The rooms could use some updating but there are many new huts being built.

Tup Kaek Sunset Resort in Krabi

The resort was located at idyllic beach area, quiet and very picturesque with the group islands in front of your resort. Very contemplative environment.
The front line staff were very helpful

The service at restaurant can do with a bit more training although they were very courteous.

had chose it for the idyllic location and pricing. For I paid for in comparison to other resorts in Tup Kaek Beach, Krabi, it was good value for money.
