We stay here overnight en route to Italy as it is convenient being just off of the main road. We have done the same now for 15 years, and have always stayed at this property. It is starting to look a little tired and dated from the outside nowadays, but the rooms are still clean and tidy, with comfortable beds and good shower facilities.
Breakfast is ok, but there aren't as many options as there used to be.
The staff are friendly and very helpful. Parking is easy. It is an easy drive into Colmar if you wish to visit and also perfect for visiting other areas within Alsace because of its easy road access.

We stayed only one night but it was a pleasure. Staff were super helpful and kind. Food is available 24/7 at the lobby at a very reasonable price. They even have tap Beer at the front desk. Pool was nice as well. Breakfast was superb!! Hotel is close to Colmar and other small towns. We would definitely stay here again!!!

Good nights sleep in comfy bed. Extra pillows supplied without asking. Good shower, soap and towels provided.
Poor selection of breakfast options when we stayed , Wednesday thro to Thursday…..much more choice when we stayed a few weekends ago.
In a good position road wise for the major roads. Easy, free parking.
Colmar is lovely, but ask hotel for map before attempting because of finding car park near to where you want to be.

A pleasant and quiet place to stay on the outskirts of Colmar. Free breakfast and parking is a bonus. There is a Courtpaille adjacent to the hotel. The town centre isn’t really walkable, but there is plenty of parking in town, free after 1900.

Very convenient hotel for travelling through. Spacious communal areas and games for kids. Easy parking. Good breakfast. Room decor was a bit tired and the toilet was so small it was tricky to get in and shut the door! One of the base slats on my son's sofabed collapsed - very cheap bit of furniture. But overall, the room was comfortable and a good size, and it's a great family hotel.

So friendly staff, but was not expecting it to be next to an airfield but in the end that was not a problem. Also pool much smaller than it looks from photos. Biggest issue was sewage smell in my bathroom. The woman in reception said the next morning I could have changed my room so that is good to know. Very helpful staff

Very family friendly hotel a few miles outside of Colmar. Nice pool space and bar with evening music entertainment. The breakfast buffet was an excellent spread. Clean rooms. We stayed in a separate building that was nicer and less noisy than the main building.

Great place for a family. The room was clean and large, compared to what we've seen around. There's a pool and play areas for the kids, and the restaurant is excellent.
The one negative is the location, since you'd have to take a taxi to get near the city center. But it was perfect for our trip.

Pros- kids game area with chess and foosball table.
Cons- housekeeping walks into room without knocking (this happened 3 times) and there were no do not disturb signs to put on door.
There was a loud vibration noise(sounding like a huge truck was outside or window) that went on and off at regular intervals all night long making it difficult to sleep. There was no sign of anything outside so no idea where thenoise came from and shocked to see others don't mention it I reviews
Room heating but no air conditioning. Ancillary building where our room was located had strong mildew odor.

Surprise free nice clean hotel near Colmar. The Mont Sainte Odile, Haut Kœnigsbourg and the route des vins are within half an hour by car. The swimming pool is small and often crowded but nice. The restaurant is excellent, you can have dinner on the patio watching the sunset over the Vosges. The noise from the abutting aérodrome is not a problem.

Exactly as expected, very good.

We got exactly what I would normally expect from an Ibis hotel, which is why it is one of my preferred chains to stay with.
Clean, quiet, comfortable, with friendly staff, a good breakfast, plenty of parking and a convenient, if slightly out of town location. Situated next to the local flying school, the little planes can add to your entertainment. No tea or coffee facilities in the rooms but readily available at no charge in a lounge near reception.
We stayed for several nights but many find it useful as a convenient stopping off point on longer journeys as it is just off a major road.

Nice hotel for a short stay.

Nice hotel. Recently renewed. Friendly stuff with little or no English as expected. Rooms are OK. Toilets are terribly small. I mean really small. If you are less than 150 cm you can easily use it. Funny part is that toilet and shower are seperate rooms. Free parking, free WiFi and free breakfast made it almost perfect 😀

Perfect end of holiday location

For the last 2 nights of our holiday we needed a room with enough room to pack and easy parking for our car. The Novotel at Colmar airport was perfect. No atmosphere, looked like an aged motel but was just what we needed inside. Very friendly, attentive staff and we ate in the restaurant one night and the food was very good. Easy access allowed us to visit many of the nearby villages without the worry of driving thru downtown areas where we would normally stay.

A pleasant stopover hotel.

We used as a stop over hotel on the way back to calais, it's a nice hotel just outside of town so great for a stop over, we went into town which is beautiful especially little Venice, didn't use the pool but I do have to say it looked small, and across the road is a good restaurant so it has all you need. I thought the receptionist we spoke to was very friendly and helpful.

Lovely spotless hotel with nice outdoor pool and terrace. Good area for children to run around with table tennis tables. Ideal stop over for long journey as there are restaurants near by. However the hotel has a lovely restaurant which we ate at and we were very happy with our meal. We will definitely use this hotel again.

Hote is good for the price you pay. Good air conditioning,wifi connection in the room, access to pool use. Also with their own restaurant and bar. Breakfast(buffet) was good and kids below 16 years old are free.About 10 minutes car drive to city centre. Over all, this is a good choice when you visit this region.

Good to have pool, and outdoor seating for bar and restaurant, as it was a hot day. Appreciated the secure car parking. Very good breakfast, nice staff, efficient.

Situated next to the little airport, no problem, very few flights, and only little planes.

Downside? Weird smell in bedroom, plastic - chemical?

Simple but Clean

Novotel Colmar is in the Commercial sector of Colmar bordering the Airport. The Hotel is about 7 minutes drive from the town centre. The Hotel is quite old but clean and well maintained and the staff very helpful. It is reminiscent of some of the older Travel Lodges in the UK but with a higher standard of cleanliness. The room was basic but functional. We had a family room and the sleeping arrangements were better than provided in most hotels offering this category of room. The staff were friendly and accommodated requests for additional towels, pillows etc. in a friendly and courteous manner, although these should have been in a room booked for 4 people as a matter of course. The location is not the best, although quiet at night the area is used for overnight stops by HGV drivers and on occasion nocturnal workers could be seen touting for business not far from the hotel. You definitely require a car at this location as eating arrangements at the hotel and in the immediate vicinity are not great.

This hotel is very conveniently situated and has the benefit of a small swimming pool, which is most welcome after a long day travelling. The rooms are fairly standard but quite comfortable. Air Con in room wasn't working very efficiently which was a pity because the outdoor temperature was 35 degrees or more! Breakfast offers a good continental spread but is a little pricey. All things being said, we'd use it again, most especially because its location suits us.

PCheap Motel -- poorly renovated

We were so shocked when we arrived at this motel that we started laughing hystericaly. being stuck because we had prepaid, we decided to make the best of it. This is a cheap motel slightly renocated for superficial exterior....but the construction, isolation, and noise remains as horrible as a Motel 6 or Formule 1. Very far from town, front desk clerks let children run and scream in the hallways at all hours of the night without saying a word. Don't stay here - there are TONS of better and cheaper hotels around.

We stayed here in August 2011 whilst travelling back to the UK from Italy. We chose this hotel for its location close to the motorway and were so please with the hotel. The staff were incredbly helpful, as a family of 4 the room was spacious and clean. The food in the hotel's restaurant was very good and we enjoyed a fabulous choice of breakfast items.

while initially the Novotel Colmar

while initially the Novotel Colmar appears to be less than the usual standard of Novotels, we were pleasantly surprised by our experience. The hotel itself is more like an Australian motel and it is outside the city of Colmar in a more industrial area, right next to the airport. however the welcome was warm and the staff tried to accommodate our limited French, usually working out what we wanted. A big plus was the breakfast area being outside when we stayed there. It was unseasonably hot and being outside in the vicinity of the pool to have breakfast was very pleasant. The rooms are small and the air conditioning really struggled, but I suspect on a more normal summer day, it would be fine. I would recommend the novotel Colmar if you have a car and are prepared to lower your expectations a little.

Great Cafe!

When we first arrived at the hotel we were not sure what to expect for our stay. We were pleasently suprised! The staff was great, the grounds were kid freindly and the cafe top notch. We sepnt 11 days in Eurpoe and I we must say that we had one of our favorite meals here! The room was comfortable and large. It was a simple drive to Colmar as well as the route de vin.

Motel was very good but restaurant left a lot to be desired. Mz main course was inedible and I was ignored by the bar lady on my first entry to get a drink. During dinner with only 2 in the restaurant she was rattled looking after a bus load in a reception area. Not impressed. manager was spoken to and he will attend to problem. Considering it is right next to airport noise was non existant in the rooms.

not a 5 minute drive...taxis are limited

the hotel is average, and not close to the center of town. You will need a taxi and they are limited so plan ahead for a ride. Also the hotel is on the airstrip for the airport...it's a bit old and while nice enough...not great. The cost for taking the taxi in and out of town was better spent staying in town in another hotel closer to the train station. The town of Colmar is lovely and like a storybook land. Colmar worth the visit. The hotel personnel were nice, the hotel was clean, bed ok. Once arrived and figured out where it was located we wanted to change but reservations unable to cancel....in the end we could have spent the money on cabs on another room downtown in the city center.

Große Zimmer, bequeme Betten, vernünftiges Bad und ein leckeres Frühstück. Es gab auch warme Speisen. Die Parkplätze sind zahlreich vorhanden. Sie befinden sich auf dem Grundstück, es gibt also keine enge Parkgarage.Für den Sommer gibt es sogar einen kleinen Pool.

Malheureusement pas de restaurant mais un snacking qualitatif qui le compense.
Chambre sans espace rangement, très convenable pour quelques jours mais aurait été compliqué sur une durée plus longue pour 4 personnes dans la même chambre. Pas d’accès extérieur direct.
Piscine et coin repas donnent directement sur le tarmac de l’aérodrome (vue géniale).
Parking gratuit et sécurisé. Accès aux bâtiments sécurisé.
Je retournerai sans hésitation dans ce superbe hôtel!
