1 night stay en-route to elsewhere.

We arrived on a Sunday and unfortunately at the start of 2 weeks holiday period in August for the main Restaurant which we were aware of in advance. Not a problem with so many other places to eat nearby.
Car parking is by entering a pedestrian precinct and then down a lane to a gated safe area at back of hotel. Staff very helpful and aware of us entering lane although we never announced our arrival. We were with friends in 2 low sports cars and no problem parking as long as you book one of the spaces in advance.
Rooms were clean and fresh and nicely all individual. However shower is over bath and it is a large step in and out if that is a problem.
Breakfast was very nice and well presented and friendly staff.

We stayed in the only front balcony looking out on the street and did not realize it was the number 2 attraction in Colmar (The House of Heads). It was so much fun. The bountiful breakfast was awesome both mornings also.

This property is NOT a five star hotel by any means. It’s a three star on a good day. One person working there at front desk. No valet, bell boys , concierge. The room as sub par and dangerous. Very low beams everywhere. Carpet is dirty and smelly. We stayed one night and decided to leave and they wouldn’t refund our second night. Don’t be fooled.

My husband and I went to Colmar for the Christmas Markets for our first trip since Covid began. This hotel was perfect! The people could not have been kinder and more helpful. They even packed a magnificent breakfast for us when we had to get to the airport before the regular breakfast hours. Our street view was incredible with all the decorations twinkling (including the outside of the hotel) and the market down the street. The beds were ultra comfortable and the room very quiet even with the holiday makers below us. We can not say enough about this wonderful oasis. It was truly a magical stay. To our friends at La Maison des Tetes: Joyeuse Noel! You have certainly helped make ours a Merry Christmas season!

We had a wonderful 3 night say. The hotel is lovely, our room was very clean, we loved having dinner in the courtyard and breakfast was wonderful. In this time of COVID I’m sure it is challenging to run a hotel/restaurant but the safety standards here were high, they are doing a great job keeping you safe yet making you feel comfortable & welcome. Our room had recently been redone and was beautiful! It was very spacious and had a gorgeous shower. People should be cautioned, however, that it is open to the room and when sharing with someone other than your partner can be uncomfortable. The staff was very helpful in suggesting restaurants and with any other questions we had. The hotel is located right in the heart of Colmar and is convenient to all. Breakfast is included with delicious pastries and breads, but no hot food is available. Wonderful stay!

Not a five star hotel

We booked this hotel mainly because it had off road parking and a great central location. The room was decorated well, if a bit small. However the air conditioning unit was very noisy and the quilt far too heavy. There were coffee making facilities but dried milk powder and one choice of coffee or tea - not good enough. The water was not replaced either. The hotel reception is only manned between 8am to 8pm but often no one at the desk. After 10pm access is through the rear car park which is crammed with double parked cars presumably to rake in 15 euros per day parking charge. Prior to 10 acess is through a courtyard crammed full of tables where one seeks to avoid hitting diners at the brassiere.

Having stayed at many five star hotels over the years, this hotel has no facilities at all that would rate it five star and is very poor value for money. The main restaurant was closed both nights and there is no bar, lounge, spa, pool or excellent service. There is no porter, although the receptionist offered to help with the luggage. We had to check out the night before we left because no reception at 7 am and struggled to get our car out of the car park without hitting anything.

Beautiful hotel situated in the heart of the city. Spacious rooms, lovely decor and a huge bathtub. Breakfast was amazing and the hotel staff very attentive. 5 minute cab drive from the train station if your arriving by train but they do have secured parking in the back of the hotel if you have a car.

Well appointed hotel in a Perfect location

My family stayed in the family duplex. There was a bathroom and sitting area on the first level with a pull out couch and a full bathroom and double bed on the second level. The bed and linens were of high quality. The courtyard is very welcoming with its strung lights and potted plants. We loved the location and even walked there from the train station. You can walk to nearby shops and restaurants. There is also a grocery store just a 5 minute walk away. The staff was very helpful and booked us rides to the airport in Basal and out to a nearby hillside castle (which was super cool and not at all crowded).

Modern hotel with an old façade. Room comfortable (bed was wonderful) and surprisingly quiet as the room faced the street (perhaps cloudy weather helped). Parking is just past hotel down a tight alley behind a locked gate. Had to beetle back to the hotel to get the code (quickly gotten from the front desk-thankfully). Would stay there again, however if driving beware of one way streets and road construction.

Centrally Located Hotel - Historical

The first thing is the location - great place and close to shops and restaurants.
The second thing - the staff weren't that friendly. They seemed to be doing a job, rather than actually taking an interest in helping us.
The third thing - the bathroom was damaged by a previous guest and they put us in that room, even though the hotel wasn't full
The fourth thing - we couldn't turn down the temperature in the room because the thermostat was locked. When we asked the front desk to help us with that, they said they would look into it when we were at dinner. However, when we got back to the room after dinner at the hotel restaurant, nothing had been done. As such, the room was too warm to sleep. In the morning, we told them about how uncomfortable the temperature in the room was, and the front desk just brushed it off and didn't address it or apologise. That was pretty disappointing and unfortunate. You are paying a lot to stay in a room at that hotel, and we thought it would be amazing considering it is rated 5 star. But if the staff aren't helpful at the front desk and aren't willing to help with your concerns, it makes the stay disappointing.
The fifth thing - the Giardin restaurant in the hotel was a great restaurant, albeit very expensive, and the staff there were pretty friendly and kind.

Great location and wonderful building.

We had a wonderful stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The building is amazing, it is a tourist attraction itself so you can often look out the window and see tourists taking photos of the building. The location is perfect, right in the centre of the town and easy walking distance to everything. The room was consistent with the style of the building so you should not expect a modern luxury 5 star room but the facilities were excellent and it was very comfortable and clean so this is not a criticism, just a note that you should bear in mind you are staying in historic building.

Hotel was in a great location but the duplex room was a very bad. The night before I booked 2 rooms at Strasbourg but in Colmar I book a Duplex to be with my family as it was advertised this was. I thought for our last night together we will appreciate to a share a duplex.
When i looked at the room I did not want to create a scene in front of my parents. I went back to the front desk to get another room but they were full.
So they could not accommodate us. You should not sell that room as Duplex. It is a maid bedroom under a roof with a sofa at the entrance.

Based on this location in France, I have to believe that this is a really nice hotel as it is, literally, just finishing a major overhaul. The rooms are all brand new and so are all of the common areas. The appointments are really nice and higher quality - but very incomplete. The room had no luggage rack, the desk was way too small for use and no lighting, and the shower had no shower door - so the whole bathroom gets soaked. While this is very common in Europe, we were outside of \"AC season\". Therefore, the room's AC was not available. While it was early May, we had a few particularly warm/muggy nights and the room was suffocating. The only option is to open the windows for some relief and that created an entire new set of problems - no curtains, noise, open exposure (no screens), etc. Further, this hotel has a little bit of a curfew and after 10PM the front side is buttoned up and you must enter from the rear. Not a big deal, but worth mentioning. Also, as mentioned above, this hotel was just finishing renovations and we were not told we would be staying in a construction zone. There were painters, ladders, early morning noise, paint odors, and such to contend with and no apology (or discount).

Nice location in historic location near shopping

Nice room on 2 floors. Preserved old architecture. No air conditioning, but it was not needed in spring. Breakfast was typical french...loads of yummy breads, butter and cheese. Eggs were available at additional cost. Restaurant was delicious- closed Sundays and Mondays- as were most stores and restaurants in town. Location is great....in wine country surrounding dedicated by many castles and ruins.
No spa, pool, sauna or fitness facilties.
Front desk staffed until 11pm ish.

5 Star Hotel, 1 Star Breakfast Experience

This hotel has lovely, well maintained spacious rooms in a beautiful historical building. The bed was very comfortable and we particularly appreciated having a sofa and coffee table in the room to sit and relax at the end of the day. The coffee machine in the room was also a great feature.

Breakfast costs extra in this hotel, this was not clearly declared when we checked in. Breakfast is from 7-10, we went for breakfast at 9:30. Not a single table in the breakfast room had been cleared, only two tables were occupied. It looked like there had been a fire alarm and all had rushed out in a hurry! There were dirty dishes everywhere and the buffet had been stripped clean, about 6 slices of cold cuts available, 4 inches of bread, 2 small pieces of cheese and some muesli. Sadly, when the lone waiter finally cleared and set a table for us he did not replenish the breakfast buffet. There are no cooked items on the buffet or if there were they were long gone by the time we arrived. Had we realized we were going to pay a hefty fee for this breakfast experience, we would have left then and there. Our complaint upon check out about this substandard vastly overpriced breakfast was met with \"oh we are sorry, but the manager is not in today so there is nothing we can do.\"

We can certainly recommend the rooms in this hotel, but recommend going elsewhere for breakfast.

The hotel is a very well-known historical landmark in Colmar. As such, staying in is a very nice experience, but can also be a noisy one, if your room faces the main entrance, as tourists throng the place. The sound-proofing for the windows facing the front could be improved upon. Otherwise, the ambience and service were good, as was the restaurant.

Our stay was fantastic and we had the good luck of ending up with the beautiful front balcony! It was hot and one of our main concerns was air conditioning, which thankfully our room had and so we were able to sleep quite well. We didn't eat at the hotel, though the food looked great. Our only issue was with parking, which was very tight (and arguably oversold) one of the nights (a Saturday) and was quite expensive ($15/night), compared with the other places we stayed. But it was convenient and did beat paying the meter several times a day.

最高のご宿泊ができました。ぜひ他の方にもお勧めしたいです。私達夫婦はコロナの時期に結婚したので、新婚旅行に行けていませんでした。　ですので、今回が新婚旅行でした。コルマールに結婚前から行きたいと話し合っていて、またLa Maison des Têtesに宿泊して、レストランジラルダンでディナーをすることが夢でした。　チェックインから受付の方に歓迎していただき、また部屋に着くとワインとお手紙のプレゼントをいただき、嬉しかったです。またお部屋も綺麗で外から見るとアンティークな雰囲気ですが、お風呂などは最新式できれいて清潔です。また静かでベットも素晴らしいので、夜はすぐに寝ていました。朝食もすごく美味しいです。私達はオムレツが気にいりましたし、クロワッサン、クグロフ、ヨーグルトも最高でした。また従業員の方も朝から優しくしてくださり、素晴らしい朝を迎えました。そしてレストランジラルダンのお料理が何よりも最高でした。お料理の味も素晴らしい、雰囲気も美しい、従業員の方々もフランス語ができない私達に何とか伝えようと親切に話してくれました。私の人生で最高のホテルです。コルマールに来る際にはまた絶対泊まります。ありがとうございました。

Este hotel es increíble , el
Servicio es lo mejor todo el personal es súper atento , la ubicación perfecta , el desayuno una delicia , muchas gracias al personal por hacer que tuvimos una estancia espectacular. El restaurante de una estrella Michelin en el hotel una experiencia increíble. Si volvemos a Colmar sin duda nos quedamos en este hotel otra vez .

Un hôtel où on ne se prend pas la tête...

Superbe séjour à Colmar, personnel attentionné et sympathique, petit-déjeuner exceptionnel avec une formule très originale (buffet apporté et sac à emmener ce qui n'a pas pu être consommé fourni. Bravo à toute l'équipe sans oublier le \"Chef\"
A faire sans hésiter.

Mir hat alles gefallen plus liebvoll gestaltetes persönliches Frühstücksbuffet.
Das einzige wovor ich grossen Respekt hatte sind die Bodenplatte in der Dusche = äusserst rutschig.
