We had an amazing time staying at this property. Everything exceeded our expectations starting with the beautiful spacious room on the top floor with amazing views of the city and finishing with the professionalism and dedication of everyone who works here. The room was large, beautifully decorated, very comfortable bed, spacious bathroom with rainfall shower, very clean, eco-friendly toiletries. Breakfast was plentiful with a lot of variety of locally sourced items, hot and cold, excellent service, helpful with all kinds of suggestions for places to see and things to do in Colmar. Located within walking distance to Christmas Market, shops , restaurants, wine tasting shops. We felt right at home, a tru hospitality especially for the holiday season. Thank you all at James Boutique Hotel for making our stay memorable.

Stayed at the hotel for 4 nights for a family tip. It’s conveniently located close to the center, but far enough to be really quiet at night. The rooms were clean and updated and the front desk staff was friendly. Parking is located at the supermarket parking lot, which is accessible to anyone. I didn’t have any issues with that, but this might be an issue for some people.

Lovely small hotel within easy walking distance of the centre of Colmar. I had a lovely room and as I have mobility issues, the hotel provided an excellent shower chair for my use during my stay. All the staff were so pleasant and helpful. My daughter and grand-daughter were staying nearby and we all enjoyed drinks in the hotel bar on a number of occasions. The breakfast offering was excellent - something for everyone.

A lovely boutique hotel in a convenient, walkable location. We stayed there in December for the Christmas markets. The location was walkable from the train station in a quiet area of town that was also easily walkable to the markets and restaurants. Lovely staff, comfortable lobby and quiet rooms. Very modern ckean spacious rooms in a great location for the old town which is a short walk. Reserve parking if required as only about 5 spaces in a very nice clean underground car park. We would have expected a little more for the price and boutique label but overall a lovely hotel

Parking is very limited at the hotel, charged Euro16 per night to park in Auchan supermarket car park 50m from hotel. Balcony not much use as opposite a building site and above busy street.

Very nice hotel and just a short walk to old Colmar. The rooms are nicely decorated and large enough but we stayed in a Jr. suite. For the Americans, the rooms do have AC but they don't go below 72 degrees. Our room had a balcony but not much of a view to speak of, but it was still nice to sit outside with a glass of wine. There is a grocery store next door which was great. If you are driving, you'll end up parking in the grocery store parking lot which is gated. The staff was friendly, the do have a bar but it doesn't seem to be staffed later in the evening. The woman who checked us in was super nice and helpful, I can't recall her name.

James Boutique Hotel has been the best hospitality experience in Europe so far. We arrived late in the night at Colmar so could not find a taxi. We had informed the hotel about this and asked them to arrange for a taxi. To our surprise, the hotel owner came himself to pick us up in his car. We cannot thank him enough for this gesture. A large crane and heavy machinery is very loud at 7am making sleeping in impossible We left a day early because of the noise. The hotel stated it was not their construction and could not help us. This hotel is in a working area so we were a little hesitant at first. Hard to find where to pull in at first. Parking looked sketchy but was fine. The staff here is EXCELLENT and the hotel is very very clean and nice. The only drawback is housekeeping does not follow the do not disturb sign so becareful. We would stay here again if we could not stay where we normally stay and would also recommend the hotel to our friends.

James Boutique Hotel is one of my favorite hotels to date! I've stayed all around the world, but Sophie at the front desk truly made us feel welcomed and cared for. She went above and beyond to accommodate us while we were traveling with our dog. She made us a dinner reservation at a vegetarian-friendly restaurant that she found on her own and it was a fantastic dinner! This hotel is the cleanest and nicest smelling one I've ever stayed in. Our room felt brand new and the air conditioning was a wonderful relief from the heatwave. Julie is very sweet and we felt very welcomed in the hotel. The rooms are clean, the location is 5 min from the old town and there is parking next to the hotel. Julie also gave us a lot of local recommendations (sightseeing and restos) and we loved all of them! The breakfast was a little less exciting because of Covid, which means we had to have it in our rooms and the selection was poorer than normal. However overall, I would advice everyone to stay here!

We stayed several days and loved this hotel. The location is convenient for treks into the town and escapes into the amazing countryside. Figuring out where to stop for check in was a bit intimidating (couple times around the block). The parking lot required a ticket for entry and at first looked a bit dicey, but we had no problems. It was nice to be close to a grocery. Fun to be able to easily walk into the city for supper or to explore.
We splurged on a jr suite and it was truly lovely, even had a little balcony. In fact, I thought it was one of the most thoughtfully designed hotel rooms I've ever stayed in because of it's attention to detail and efficiency.
