Braunschweig surprise

A great surprise of a hotel - we were able to check in early which was a real godsend as we had a very early flight that morning. The service was excellent and the breakfast superb. The room was basic and maybe a little tired but much more than adequate. The location was good opposite the main station and a tram ride from the centre and the stadium

Good choice

Comfortable and reasonably priced hotel across the street from the main train station in town. That was its big attraction for me. An easy 15 to 30 minute walk, depending on your agility, to the major museum and the center of town.

eerlijk verblijf met kleinkind in ruime kamers

Wij waren hier voor één nacht met ons kleinkind. De kamer was echt heel ruim en het personeel was super vriendelijk ; zowel wij de receptie als het ontbijt. echt super. Jammer dat de kamer ( eigenlijk kamers) geen airco hadden. er stond wel in de omschrijving van het hoetel dat het airco was. ( was zeker van pas gekomen bij dit warme weer) Afstand tot de oude stad is makkelijk te voet te doen. Ontbijt was heerlijk, ook voor het kleinkind ondanks de corona maatregelen. Wij komen graag terug.

Enjoyed our stay. Very central hotel - close to the train and tram stations and a nice 20 minute walk to the city centre. Whilst the hotel is a little dated in terms of its build and decor, the service and price was excellent. Really good breakfast with a great choice and good service.

Good access to the train station, but you might notice that the hotel is a bit far from the city center.
Some areas in the city center are paved with stone, which is not friendly to your suitcase. If your baggage is heavy, this hotel can be the best choice.

Nice stay at Mercure Braunschweig

We need to spend a night at Braunschweig after visiting a client. We need to take early train to Hamburg the next morning, so that Mercure, across street from Train Station, is a logical choice.

The hotel staff was very helpful to organise a breakfast bag for us. The single room was spacious. Wifi was quite good. So in general, it was a very good stay.

An overnight stay (on a Sunday night) for an early meeting on the Monday morning. The hotel is very well situated directly opposite the train station.

The room was quite small but adequate for a one night stay, more than a couple of nights though and you would start to notice how small the room was.

Good service from all areas of the hotel (reception, bar/restaurant, breakfast).

Immaculate Hotel close to Railway station

Couldn't find any fault whatsoever with this lovely hotel, spacious beautifully decorated rooms, comfy bed, fabulous bathroom. The staff were always helpful and obliging. It was such a nice feeling to enter after a day's outing and relax. There is a very nice bar and lounge area as well.

Stayed here for a couple of nights on business & would recommend. Staff were really helpful & good natured, the little sports bar offered very reasonable German fare & beers with a friendly atmosphere. Very convenient for the station which is opposite with regular trains to Hannover & Hamburg.
The stay exceeded my expectations.

Very good Hotel

Great hotel in a good location - just 20 minutes away from the city centre by foot or 10 minutes by tram/bus. The hotel room was superb and very comfortable. The beds were extremely good and we had the best night's sleep ever!
The hotel staff were very helpful and willing to assist. Nothing was a problem - it was just good German efficiency. For the price, the room was great value for money and so good we thought we had been given an upgrade!

The only slight drawback fopr this hotel is a 10-15 min walking distance from the city center. The rest is just excellent: spatious room, sumptious breakfast, reasonably priced parking and particularly, very helpful personnel. Me and my family happened to stay in Mercur during the Battle of the Year final, when the hotel was full of participants and organizers running around. Nevertheless, the receptionists were extremely polite and efficient. This was also tested and confirmed by an accident (unrelated to the hotel) where we needed and received help from the reception staff. Three cheers !!!

Braunschweig experience

We stopped here for the purpose of seeing a Vermeer. Trained in and trained out and wanted something near to the main train station with access to the old town area. Stayed two nights. Had breakfast in the hotel one morning, nothing extraordinary, but convenient. Ate out for breakfast the second day.

Definitely delivered more than I expected

I loved this hotel! It was more than I expected. The restaurant on the second floor was very good, and with Spargl season, they had a nice variety of dishes. The wine list was excellent. Breakfast was wonderful! Terrific variety, a large caraffe of coffee, and friendly staff. It's located right across the street from the Hauptbahnhof and all other means of public transit - buses, trams and taxis. So easy to get around from this location. On the other side is a beautiful park that connects all the way to the north to the Botanical Gardens with pathways along the river. There was so much to enjoy! Again, a pleasant surprise.

Nice, clean hotel in great location

Hotel is directly across from central train station. While the areas around central train stations are generally seedy, this area was not. The staff was friendly. Check in took less than two minutes. Everything was waiting for us at check in. The hotel and its amenities were very basic, but it was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was rather expensive (16 euros), but the great coffee and unlimited fresh squeezed orange juice made up for it.

The best hotel in Braunschweig where we stayed to date!!

This modern hotel should have at least 4 stars. The rooms are comfortable and clean, so is the bathroom. All the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is quiet and there are no noises from next door. The whole place is bright and very clean and very well kept. We only had breakfast here which was extremely plentyful and good.
The only slight disadvantage: The hotel is not centrally located, however, with plublic transport or taxi one is you will be in the city centre in minutes.
We will be back here as soon as we travel again to Braunschweig.

sauberes Zimmer, gut in Schuss. Frühstücksbereich groß, Speisensortiment gut. Die Lage ist das Hauptproblem. Einerseits gut, direkt am Bahnhof und auch gute Nahverkehrsanbindung. Schlecht: Die Zimmer zur Straße haben starken Verkehrslärm. Die ganze Nacht durch fahren Straßenbahnen direkt am Fenster vorbei.
