The property was fine but for what it is, it is very expensive. The food was mediocre at best but you were charged a lot more than it was worth. The rooms were clean but considering the price the towels were thin and the soap /shampoo indifferent. For the price charged I was expecting so much better.

Bathrooms were great. The bed I slept in had an old mattress. The springs in that mattress created hurting spots on my back that didn’t disappear until a after my departure.

Staff was friendly but either incompetent or unwilling. We had to DISCOVER on our own that during our stay was there was neither room cleaning nor towel exchange. Fresh towels had to be picked up at the front desk. Nobody told us about the reduced service. There were also other incidences that clearly showed a lack of either competence or sufficient care for the few guests.

One reason for us staying at Steigenberger hotels when we are in Germany is their restaurants. The restaurant at this location certainly allowed us to see a glimpse of what it is -under normal circumstances- capable of. But when we ordered a medium burger it came well done. The beef was dry and reminded us of the German large meatball called “Frikadelle”. Worst of all: the meat was thawed first, because the patties weren’t fresh but frozen prior to preparation.

I understand that the hotels have an issue with special pandemic rules. But there is no reason to offer hamburgers from frozen meat and not cleaning the rooms.

Beautiful hotel, very well kept. Large rooms and exceptional bath rooms. A true 4-star place. The only down side were the uncomfortable mattresses that did not provide a good night sleep.

The Hotel is superb in a wonderful location in a magnificent park. Very handy for Braunschweig Alstadt bars and restaurants. Staff were friendly and efficient.Our room was spotless and very comfortable.Do visit the Okercabana great fun on the river.It was a bit pricey but would definitely stay there again.

Luxury property, good location, great service

Located in a nice green park setting, this hotel is one of the few luxury options in Braunschweig. The service is excellent, as is the condition and the cleanliness of the rooms. Taxi’s are available in the morning on a few minutes’ notice and will get you where you need to be in Braunschweig area in under 15 minutes. Room service was very fast and courteous, as was checking in and out. I will definitely stay here again on my next business trip.

Everything at this hotel looks and feels good ...or better-than-good. It was only a 2-night stay and we wished it could be longer ....we already booked another stay here in a couple of months!
It has a very calm, relaxed atmosphere - it is elegant yet not-at-all-fussy. The park location is so peaceful, away from the city streets (although many of the city streets are quite pleasant too). Dinner on the pretty Brasserie terrace was a real treat ...and at the bar we enjoyed local CRAB Pale Ale ...a very lovely beer :))

lovely hotel that we stay in regularily. However this time the air con was bust yet despite talking to staff, they did nothing to try to fix it or reaccomodate us. It wont deter us from staying again as it really is the best hotel in the area.

Great upscale Hotel in the center of Braunschweig

This hotel is very clean and the staff is very polite and forthcoming.
There is a restaurant and bar on the 1st floor with a nice cozy outdoor patio.
The room is clean and there is enough space to move around, even with open luggage on the floor.
The bed is comfortable and there is a sitting corner with overhead lighting.
The bathroom is clean and modern, befitting a 4 star hotel. No bath tub, but an excellent shower with good flow and almost instant hot water.

Braunschweig is my hometown and for future visits I will definitely stay again at the Steigenberger. Located in a park less than 10 min walk from the City Centre it is a nice and quiet refuge after a day of shopping, socializing and sightseeing. The room was superb, especially the bath.

I haven't been to other hotels in Braunsweig so choosed that only for good reviews. I cannot say that the hotel overcame my expectations and it does really worth that amount of money, but overall everything was good: clean, service, close to center, nicely placed in park. And it looked great in autumn time!

Fantastic Quiet Retreat

Traveling to Braunschweig before tour from Franklin. Early arrival was not a problem to get registered. Front desk was very accommodating and helpful in finding Old Town and recommending site seeing sites. Food in restaurant was wonderful and a very nice atmosphere. The park surrounding hotel grounds was absolutely beautiful. So much to offer. We hardily recommend this wonderful hotel. Our room was very comfortable, above our expectations

We were with our 2 years old son, the room was cold and could not heat it up. We changed the room. The second room was a smaller one, they said it is the same category and calculated it the same price. Room service is over expensive. Food is average. Was not worth the money we paid

i stayd in this hotel for busines trip near by. in photos the hotel look very nice and 4 star hotel. but when we got there the hotel was old, facilitis seen much beter days and the room was dark,and the matres was dusty.
the staff told me its a free parking for hotel stayer (there is lots of free parking near by) and when i got the bill it cost 14 euro per day!!!!
i asked hot water because there not a pot in the room and the recpatince told me in a very rood manor that there is no hot water now (8 p.m)!!!

i will not recomand this hotel

Lovely hotel, expensive breakfast

Stayed here for one night as a stopover.

The hotel itself it gorgeous and the rooms are large and beautifully looked after. It is right next to a large park, which is lovely, and is very central to Braunschweig. The reception staff were friendly and helpful and the reception area was a lovely place to sit. There was a roof terrace but we didn't make use of this.

There was no coffee machine in the room as promised though, indeed no drink making facilities at all.

The sauna wasn't open until 4pm which was a disappointment, but there is a large swimming pool complex right next door.

Parking is 14 euros for the night / 24hours. If we had thought about it it would have been cheaper to leave the car in a bay at the front for free overnight and pay by the hour for the next morning.

We didn't eat breakfast there as it was nearly 20 euros per person. There is a cheaper option but it seemed limited and still overpriced. Reception tried to justify it by saying 'all coffee and drink were included'... I don't think we could have drunk enough coffee to justify it (especially when there was supposed to be a machine in the room anyway!). We did get a good rate for the room though.

Rooms and architecture very beautiful as expected from a previous stay (clearly best hotel in Braunschweig). However, we asked friends to join us for breakfast (we would have paid for them of course) which the hotel frankly refused to serve on the grounds that outside guests are not permitted to the hotel and that the staff's capacity would be exceeded. UNIMAGINABLE!!! For a hotel in that category!! Will NEVER EVER CHOOSE THIS PLACE AGAIN.

Absolutely loved this hotel, and the area its in, and the town. We loved it so much, we stayed another day. If you stay, go check out the beach cabaña club at the south end of the park. I will definitely stay again.

A modern, but stylish hotel set in a park near the centre of Braunschweig. We just used it as an overnight stop on a longer journey, but would have happily stayed longer if we had the time. Difficult to find any fault - the door to the bathroom squeaked a bit - that's all. The only other negative point is you have to pay for the parking. There's some on-street parking and a small 'Parkhaus' behind the hotel which costs 14 Euros for 24hrs

Pretty much brand new when we stayed for one night and everything (with the sole exception of the air conditioning in the bedroom) was fabulous. Service excellent, bedroom and bathroom gorgeous, food (especially breakfast) superb. The receptionist acknowledged that they have a problem with the air con only sending out warm air and assured us they were trying to solve the problem. Shouldn't really be charging for wifi but as they'd upgraded us to a suite I wasn't going to complain!

wir sind Stammgäste und mindestens 1 mal im Monat in diesem Hotel. Leider hat man uns beim Checkin ~1Stunde warten lassen um uns dann mitzuteilen das wir in ein anderes Hotel gehen müssten. es sei der gleiche Standard hat man uns versichert was aber leider nicht stimmte. eine Begründung haben wir leider nicht erhalten aber die Rezeption war total überfordert, was die Situation aber nicht entschuldigt.

Es war schade, dass es auf dem Zimmer kein Wasserkocher gab.
Wir hätten gerne nach unserer Ankunft um 20:30Uhr eine Kleinigkeit gegessen, leider schien die Küche aber sehr überlastet gewesen zu sein. Man sagte uns, dass es bis zu 1,5 Stunden dauern könnte bis das Essen kommt.

Zimmer sauber, Frühstück gut.
Keine Kaffeemaschine im Zimmer, nur Pulverkaffee.
Bademantel wurde, obwohl angefordert, nie aufs Zimmer gebracht, Wasserspender im Spa leer und niemand erreichbar um Flasche auszutauschen. Leistungsstufe an Fitnessgeräten (Ausdauer) konnte nicht eingestellt werden (mehrere Geräte ausprobiert). Von einem Steigenberger habe ich mehr erwartet.

Das Zimmer war kalt. Sie mussten einen Zusatzheizkörper bringen. Lauter Toilettenlüfter lief rund um die Uhr. Die Betten sind in die Jahre gekommen. Im Eingangsbereich kommt man sich eher wie im Bahnhof vor. Es gibt günstigere und schönere Hotels in BS.
Es ist einem Steigenberger Hotel nicht würdig.
