No AC on the room but with the cool weather, i was able to use the fan and opened the window, until the noisy construction started tk wake you up.
They promised to look into the AC but noone came to give me an update if the ac was indeed broken or if they had fixed it (still used outside air and fan to avoid disappointment)

Breakfast was the same thing everyday.

No wifi and poor cell service in my room 307. I had to work from the lobby so i can get wifi for my laptop and to get on zoom calls. Very inconvenient

An okay stay!

We did spend two nights at the Mercure in Hamm. It has a 24h check-in however they did not know that we are arriving late even if I told them by phone upfront and they made a note for the responsible person. But not a problem that the reservation as the hotel wasn't fully booked so we got a room. Reservation was for a twin bed and we got a double bed but we didn't care. We asked for a wake up call and I saw the staff writing it down. But there was no call - that's a no go. Also the card reader wasn't working at the check out. Took us quite a bit until they offered to make a copy of the credit card and charge the rate at later time.
Beside those points the staff was nice and friendly. We were asking for a late check-out and got one extra hour.
Rooms were clean but felt a bit aged. The bath tub was a bit dirty, rest of the bath was good.
The breakfast was a nice selection of bread, cheese, meat, eggs, sausages and fruits.
There was some renovation going on. I think that's a good idea.
In general we can recommend that place even if it was not 100%.

Mercure Hotel, Hamm, Germany - Overall Impressions

Easy to find, well-located and well-appointed. The staff were friendly and efficient. Most importantly, since I speak no German, was that all the staff to whom I spoke (principally the reception staff) spoke excellent English and were also able to advise on my daily journey time for my visits to the company I was to visit and of which I had no prior knowledge. All-in-all very professional and efficient.

I recently spent several days here...was overall very pleased with most everything. It is close to a shopping center. The rooms were clean and attractive. Their idea of a \"Continental Breakfast\" should be copied in America...many kinds of meat, seafood, cereals, etc...way too many to name. The staff was attentive...did what they could to make my stay as comfortable as possible.

Great location

Hotel very close to rail station (walking distance) and the staff were very friendly. Room was clean and warm with good shower and free toiletries. Only stayed one night but with family living in the area I plan to stay longer on my next visit. I would recommend this hotel.

cool atmosphere, super hard beds

Due to road construction this hotel was hard to get to. We liked the secure underground parking, The reception desk could use an additional person. There was only one person at the desk upon check in and check out and if they are on the phone or helping someone else you must be prepared to wait. The room was nice and clean as has been the case in all the Mercure hotels we have stayed in. The beds however were SUPER hard and the pillows were SUPER soft and flat feather pillows, as are most places in Europe. The room was quiet. The restaurant breakfast buffet was pretty good, and included in the price, as was the internet. Which is unheard of in Europe.

Best hotel in Hamm

We recently spent 5 nights at the Mercure in Hamm. The room was clean and comfortable, but outdated decor. The pictures of dark furniture and new decor is not the room we were given-we had flash back to the 80s. However, we were told by locals it is the best hotel in Hamm. The room was serviced everyday by housekeeping, and the front desk staff was very helpful. Also, they have a business center in the lobby area with a computer you can use to check emails, ect. When we return to Hamm we will definetly stay here,

Unser Aufenthalt war in Ordnung. Preis-, Leistungsverhältnis war gut. Lage ist super und es war ruhig. Personal war hilfsbereit und freundlich.
Manko war das es im Frühstücksraum ziemlich kühl war und es beim vegetarischen Aufstrich und beim Gebäck keine Auswahl gab.

Vi havde været på hotellet ugen før på 5 sal, super fint. 👌
Denne gang (4 sal) var jeg dog noget skuffet over sengene, da de virkede noget over brugt/slidt. Man lå i en fordybning, og kurven gjorde at de ikke kunne bruges som dobbeltseng da der var kæmpe revne imellem. Endte med at sove på børneopredningen med min 4 md, men de var desværre også ukomfortable hårde og man kunne mærke fjederne..

Die Zimmer sind renovierungsbedürftig. Nach mehreren Aufenthalten und unterschiedlichen Zimmern gab es immer Mängel. (z. B. Abblätternde Farbe, defekte Türzagen, Schimmel an Silikonfugen, defekter Duschkopf). Der Zustand passt nicht zu den aufgerufenen Preisen.

Faire Preise im Mercure Hamm

Grosser Gebäudekomplex mit Tiefgarage zum parken,
die Gebühr 10 Euro, endlich mal ein fairer Tarif.
Es wurde teilweise renoviert, dennoch insgesamt Charme aus der Vergangenheit. Mein Zimmer hatte eine gute Größe, das Bett war in Ordnung, die Fenster leider weder von innen, noch von außen geputzt. im Bad gibt es noch die gute alte Badewanne zum duschen, sonst ok. Auch ein Wasserkocher mit Teeauswahl gibt es im Zimmer. Das Frühstück als Inklusivleistung geht in Ordnung. Die Mitarbeiter, mit denen ich gesprochen habe, waren alle sehr freundlich. Im Barbereich/Restaurant gibt es zu fairen Preisen einfache Gerichte.

Wir kommen trotzdem wieder

Leider oft das Hotel in die Jahre gekommen. Der Teppich im Flur war stark verdeckt. Die Zimmer haben schon bessere Zeiten erlebt. Das Personal war super freundlich und zuvorkommend. Meine Frau hat sogar glutenfreie Mahlzeiten bekommen. Wir werden trotzdem bei Gelegenheit wieder in diesem Hotel übernachten

Uitstekend verblijf en service!

Ons verblijf was simpelweg fantastisch. Vanaf het moment van inchecken tot het uitchecken werden we uitstekend geholpen door het vriendelijke en behulpzame personeel. De kamer was schoon, comfortabel en van alle gemakken voorzien. De service was van topkwaliteit en overtrof onze verwachtingen.

De locatie was perfect, en ook de faciliteiten waren uitstekend onderhouden. Het ontbijt was uitgebreid en heerlijk, wat elke dag een geweldige start gaf.

Ik zou dit hotel absoluut aanbevelen aan iedereen die op zoek is naar een zorgeloos en luxe verblijf. We komen hier zeker terug!

Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Wir wurden sehr nett empfangen. Das Zimmer war wunderbar groß, jedoch das Bad war in die Jahre gekommen. Die Dusche war sehr klein bzw. die Duschwand extrem kurz.
Im Hotel war es nachts ruhig. Wir haben jedoch mit offenem Fenstern geschlafen, was durch den Straßenlärm nicht so leise war.
Das Frühstück war großartig. Es war alles da was man sich wünscht.

Der Empfang war herzlich und sehr zuvorkommend. Man liess uns die Fahrräder in einem Konferenzraum unterstellen, ohne uns zu sagen, das am nächsten Morgen dort ein Seminar stattfindet. Die Alternative wäre die Tiergarage gewesen, wovon uns jedoch abgeraten wurde. Das Hotel ist noch nicht ganz auf Radfahrer eingestellt. Ansonsten aber alles in Ordnung.
