Check in staff were friendly, welcome drink on arrival. The room we had slept 3 adults, comfortable beds, really clean and warm. Excellent shower. No kettle in room but hair dryer was provided. Really lovely hotel. Easy access out of the airport and train station with only 4 stops on the s-bahn to the city center which was only 15 mins. Would definitely stay here again!

What a quirky hotel, first time staying in aMoxy. as I entered the hotel soothing music was playing, an image was projected on the floor 'Welcome to the Moxy,, Check In on the 5th Floor'. Greeted with a smile, check-in was effortless. I was also given a token to get a welcome drink from the bar (I had al ocal beer - Kolsch). The hallways on the 3rd floor were marked with yellow lines (planes follow at the airport), there was a taxiway, runway and a hangar. In the room it was also very quirky with aviation themed fittings. I went to the bat got my drink and went out onto the ipen air terrace on the 5th floor where you can see the ariport action take offs and landings etc. The proximity to Cologne Airport and Station was a 3 minute walk. Overall an excellent hotel.

Friendly, helpful staff. Bit of a wait at check in as everyone seemed to arrive at once and only one receptionist, but she was very nice and I was offered a complimentary drink. Arrived at 2am and left at 9am (didn’t have breakfast) so didn’t spend long there but the room was clean and the bed so comfy! A quirky hotel which I like. I would definitely recommed to others or stay there again myself!

The hotel is very basic. There is no kettle in the room and no offer for a free hot drink other than at breakfast or paid for at the bar.
The bar staff don’t serve the customers in order even though there are plenty of staff they aren’t paying attention.
There is a strong smell of cannabis outside being smoked and bottles of beer left from drinkers.
It’s convenient for getting about this part of Germany with trains on the doorstep.
A few members of staff were friendly - mainly at breakfast but otherwise they aren’t acknowledging you.
I was pleasantly surprised that the room was quiet and couldn’t hear airport noise. The hideous heavy self close doors bang through the night though if people aren’t thoughtful.

The reception was too busy guy, only working alone. Even 24hours check-in, if someone got stuck, there was a queue. The reception man was kind enough to support me during the small time he could have, but it seems overloaded.
The hotel should put another people for check-in. This makes a bit stressful for me when I arrived late night.

Hotel room was of a good size and perfect for a nights stay with train station and bus station a few minutes walk away. Due to a flight delay I lost my connection and the next flight that was arranged for me was early the next day so Moxy was perfect. I crossed the road and booked this cozy hotel. ( it is also very close to the S bahn) Loved the airport inspired decoration the lobby was welcoming, staff at check in was amazing and friendly. Bedroom was perfect, size and comfort. I was only there for 12 hours had a good sleep and breakfast was very good for an airport hotel, they had a selection of cereals, eggs scrambled and boiled, juices, cold cuts and cheese, different baked products. The welcome drink was a nice touch too! When I arrived the restaurant had closed but the bar served some meals I had a delicious carrot soup which came with a fresh bread bun. All in all I would highly recommend it if you need somewhere to stay close to the airport.

Brilliant convenient modern hotel perfectly situated for the airport. Frequent trains take you to the main town. The staff were very helpful! We dined at the restaurant for dinner and again staff very attentive but the food was honestly exceptional. We saw the price point and expected that for a hotel but this brilliant, recommend the chicken and Rump steak! There is a gym available as well. Would definitely come back!

Easy stay over for quick trip to Cologne

Great location for our overnight trip to Cologne. Short walk from the terminal and easy to return to by train at night before our morning flight. Quirky and interesting bar / check in area with great views of the airport. Bedroom was clean and comfortable with the exception of the bed. This had one bulky pillow (I'd have preferred two smaller ones) and the bed itself was narrow. Staff were great.

Never stayed at a Moxy Hotel before, but thoroughly enjoyed my 2 night stay. The lights under the bed that are on a sensor are genius! Didn’t catch the lady’s name who checked is in, but she was brilliant with us. Would highly recommended! The location was perfect too, given that I’m keen on aircraft! Good place to stay before a very early flight out of CGN. The hotel is located on the grounds of the airport, right across from an entrance. No shuttle service is needed to get to the terminal. The restaurant was very good and all the service personnel was friendly. A welcome drink is also privided upon check-in. The rooms are modern and furnished based airline/airport motifs.

It was very noisy in the evening because of the music the hotel played. They gave me ear plugs and I thought it was a joke. But, it was not a joke. I am not sure if they play music every evening or just weekends, but it was very loud. So if you want a restful night, it is not a good place.
The room I stayed was very small for the price, but relatively clean. Breakfast was overpriced for what they offered. The good thing about this hotel is the location. It is close to the airport (walking distance) even though the road to the hotel from the airport was a bit strange. Perhaps, there is a main road and I did not know.

We checked in at about 8.30pm and the whole place felt like a nightclub. The restaurant was closed for a private party and the staff were feeling the pressure of multiple checkins. They were abrupt and rude and snapped at us. All they could offer were junk food bar snacks which for an airport hotel is pitiful. The rooms are ok but this is no normal hotel.

We went to Cologne for the weekend, and decided to stay here because it has a train to and from the city. About a week before checking in, I got an email with all of the parking details, and that there would be a restaurant available on site. You have to go up to the fifth floor to check in, which has a very nice common area and a bar. When checking in, my husband and I were informed that we would be getting a room with two twin beds. This wasn’t necessarily a problem, but I asked if there were any queens left and the agent told me that the hotel was fully booked. I then asked if we could be seated for dinner, but was informed at the hotel restaurant was closed. There was some bar food that we could choose from, so I ordered a pizza. I saw them take it out of the freezer, unwrap it and put it into a microwave. I also asked if I could fill up my water bottle anywhere, and was told no. We then went to our room to find a large black hair on the bed. I moved it off the bed and tried to forget about it, but then we discovered that our TV did not work. We called the front desk, which we had to do off of our cell phone because there is no phone provided, and they informed us that we could switch rooms. I’m not sure how this was possible because we were told that they were “fully booked.” Overall, we didn’t have a pleasant experience and this feels like a very budget hotel with little to no amenities. Not even a mini fridge in the room.

It is not apparent from the listing that one has to enter the gated airport parking area to access this hotel. We literally went to check in and drop off our bags and left for the city and were charged 29 Euros for 40 minutes. Then we were charged another 35 for the next day until 9am. The receptionists were quite rude at check in (as if it was our fault they couldn't find our booking for 2 rooms) and even more so after we complained about the parking arrangements after we had experienced them. They did not give any kind of instructions where the closest parking was even when asked. It is quite a walk from the giant, multilevel parking garage to the hotel, one has to go to the terminal first, then along a walkway that isn't covered, we got soaked walking to the hotel in the rain with our luggage. The hotel is fine, just don't go with a vehicle and don't expect welcoming service. Oh, and the room service robot we requested never showed up.

The property was very clean and the service nice overall. However, the hotel has a huge issue with lack of staff ( probably cutting costs) and the team doing everything from check-ins, serving, drinks etc. So the wait is very long ( took us 30 min to order 1 cocktail and 1 pizza). Also, their restaurant has no service on Sunday, and their only food outside of restaurant hours (which are limited) is pizza and chicken wings. I am sure the team at Moxy can do better than that.

If you are looking for some rest during your travel, avoid this Moxy at all cost. The sound proofing of the hotel was so bad that we had an extremely difficult time falling asleep as other hotel guests kept stomping, talking loudly, and even yelling in the hallway ALL THE TIME. We understand that it's an airport hotel and guests come and go at odd hours all the time, but the lack of sound proofing and the noises people created were really unacceptable. We have stayed at other airport hotels before, and we never had issues like this. We tried to tolerate the noises but finally could not stand it anymore so we talked to a hotel staffer and requested for a room change at around 2:30 am. It was nice of the staff member to give us a new room, but the new room was on the 4th floor, right below the top-floor hotel bar. The stomping from the hallway was slightly better this time but we could then hear chair pulling and people stomping at the hotel bar instead. It was impossible to have some rest as no matter what time it was, whether it was 4 am, 9 am or 9 pm, there were always a lot of noises coming from the hotel. Maybe we were just unlucky to have had rooms that were near the elevator and/or below the hotel bar, but such an experience was unbelievably horrible, and we will never come back.
