The hotel in general was okay. However, the bed was not hygenic. Both my wife and I have many bed bug bites. I am itchy all over and so is my wife. A shame really as staff was friendly.
At the moment I will not ever use Ibis again due to the bed bugs.

not up to the ibis standard, bathroom was very dirty with lots of hair from previous guests, the used to be light tiles were very dark, would need a high pressure water clean, everything in the room is very outdated, a renovation is clearly needed.

For what i needed it was ok. Check in was very good andbtge staff helpful.

Generally the room was clean and comfortable. It was the shower room that let it down. The joints in tge toilet and shower at the botoom had dirt or a dirt like stain. Nothingbthat cant be easily resolved!

As i walked into my room there was a slight bad smell. Apart from that room was clean and wifi was hit and miss. The hotel is really close to the airport (5min ride on train S19, same train goes to the centre in 10mins) i only stayed for 1 night and i was allowed free early check in. Overall was decent.

The room was very clean, comfortable, and well-designed. The breakfast was fantastic, and most of the staff were kind. The room does not have any amenities (toiletries etc), and the hotel has nothing at all nearby except for the train station (10min to airport; 10min in the other direction to the middle of Cologne)

Just the one night !

I was on a road trip from the UK to Roth in Germany and stayed just the one night. The room was big and the bathroom was spotless really good powerful shower. I had a meal in the evening that was lovely as was breakfast. I struggled with my German but the staff were helpful speaking English. The surrounding area isn't great and close by are KFC McDonald's if you like their food. Train to Köln is a short walk away

Hotel close to airport

Staff was completely uninterested from the moment I came to the desk to check in; refused to look up from computer and no attempt at a greeting. Wifi did not work in my room and the reaction was \"nothing I can do\", without even attempting to understand the issue. Room was freezing cold and the bathroom did not smell great and was clearly not well cleaned.

Fine stop walked from Sbahn station along a quiet footpath away from road. 3 hotels close together . Kentucky Fried Chicken and a petrol station selling drinks and snacks. On the main line from airport to Koeln main train station.

It is a Mix !

I have stayed in this hotel for 2 nights with my family in August 2014 and here is what I think

Location – lets understand what it means. This is not close to the City Center. It is a business hotel and located 3 stops away by train from the city center. So, from city center, you have to take S13 and come to Frankfurter Strasse station and from there it is 650 meter walk. Hotel is easy to find. But if your main objective is to visit Cologne for a sightseeing trip, then please note that it is very much walkable and does not need the day pass if you stay near the center. So, the day pass of approximately 8 Euro is added to the cost if you decide to stay in this hotel.

Room – very comfortable and clean. IBIS always maintains the same quality. Nothing to complain about.

Staff – again, a mix. There was one gentleman who was very, very helpful and always with a smiling face. There were 1 other person who answer each question as if it is a great favor to you. Usually, the answer is “I don’t know” or “you need to find out”. Depending on the person you interact with, your experience will vary.

Food – I didn’t try the breakfast. But coffee was fine. For each coffee, they charge some good money, but still it is ok. Please note that you don’t have much choice of food outside the hotel

Overall, I will not say it was bad. But I will not say it was great either. Next time I go to Cologne, I will book a hotel near the city center.

Great Beds

Stayed here twice over a long weekend travelling through Germany. It was exactly what one expects from an IBIS, not stunning, but perfectly fine. The rooms were comfortable, especially the beds which were the most comfortable hotel beds we have had in a while. Breakfast was OK, but it lacked any hot meat (bacon or sausages) to go with the scrambled eggs, or a toaster. Having said that, for a stopover it was good, and we will stay here again

Exploring Cologne

Overall is quite nice stay. The hotel is easy to find and have large parking spacing (free parking). It is also very easy to use the train to reach the center of Cologne (15 mins train). The room in hotel is clean and nice, but the sound proof for the room is poor. Anyway, I will stay in this hotel again in the future when visit Cologne.

Hotel was bit far from the city, so we had to take the bus to reach the hotel. Still, the bus stop was just walkable distance from hotel with decent bus connectivity. There is a KFC close to the hotel which was perfect.

Cheap, good location as a base

The hotel is about a 5 minute walk from the S-Bahn straight through the back of the Business Park, with the hotel clearly visible from the S-Bahn. The S-Bahn is 1 stop from the airport and 3 stops from Cologne. The only options nearby for food are KFC or McDonalds, although the hotel does a small choice of light meals. The room was ok, there was a slight smell in the bathroom but with free wi-fi available, despite lacking tea/coffee facilities for a reasonable price I would recommend it.

Basic hotel with extra style, convenient location

I chose this hotel primarily because of the low cost and location (proximity to Koln, the airport, and the A3). However, I was pleasantly surprised by the condition of the hotel and decor, which were much nicer than Ibis budget hotels I have previously stayed in. The rooms, while simple, have a little extra visually-appealing color and style, and I liked the laminate floors better than carpet. I had no issues with external noise during my stay, and the curtains were sufficient to block out light. The free wi-fi works in the room and (though non-secure) is fast enough to be functional for web browsing and e-mail. There is also one public internet terminal in the lobby. The front desk is staffed at all hours. The only minor snafu I had during my stay was a slightly prolonged check-in due to technical problems. The hotel has plenty of free parking. The area around the hotel is commercial, with the added convenience of a gas station and KFC next door. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for budget-minded travelers looking for a hotel in this area.

Good location, not-so-good accommodation

We booked this hotel because we were visiting the Koln Christmas markets and driving a car. Parking is free and there was a train station 7 minute walk away to city center. Staff was rude when we checked in... then put us in a handicap room that was equivalent to showering in a gym locker room. The bed was about the only thing comfortable about the room. There were no extras...breakfast was 10 euro, coffee was 4 euro. Typical for Ibis, so not really a complaint, just sharing. Not sure why we received the handicap room, but I did read this occurred to others in reviews. Nothing near the hotel except train station, KFC and gas station.

The room was very well equipped and maintained with a great LARGE SHOWER cubicle. Meals in the hotel at night were EXCELLENT at a modest price. Overall - very pleasantly surprised at the quality of accommodation and food at such an economic price.

Great hotel, great location

Traveled from Frankfurt, but room wasn't ready when I went to check in, although I was a little early. Had to wait about 40mins before it was.

However the receptionist was very very helpful as I was going to see Bruce Springsteen at the Rheinenergie stadium. He showed me on a map of the regional S Bahn, how to get there (for reference take S13 toward Koln Hauptbahnhof, 2 stops get off at Duetz, change to the S1, Rheinenergie stadion is marked on the map). Better than going into Koln central.

It was nice to have a beer when I got back at half past midnight, and the guy on reception told some noisy guests to keep the noise down in the corridor, as other people were sleeping.

Room was very clean and the surrounding area is very quiet. So I had a great 4hours sleep after getting back from the concert!!!! But its only 1 stop from the airport, which is why I chose it, plus the price was the best in the area. S Bahn trains run almost 24hrs and every half hour after 5am, so perfect for my early flight.

The S Bahn station is 3-5 mins walk from the hotel and you can see it from the train.

The only reason I knocked a mark off, is that the breakfast choice was pretty poor (even for an Ibis) at 5am

Leider herrschte in den Zimmern eine schier unerträgliche Hitze trotz Regen und Kälte ausserhalb des Hotels (Starkregen und Novemberwetter). War wahrscheinlich ein Problem mit der Klimaanlage. Wir konnten alle bei geschätzt 28 Grad kein Auge zu tun. Wirklich unerträglich und sehr ärgerlich!!!

Мы приехали утром намного раньше Check-in, но нас успешно поселили без любых дополнительных вопросов. Исключительно чистые номер, постель и санузел. Парковка на территории отеля - платная, но недорогая; мы оставили машину на очень маленькой бесплатной городской парковке рядом. Расположение: окраина города, но в пяти минутах ходьбы остановка городской электрички S-Line - можно круглосуточно добраться куда угодно (в центр, в аэропорт, в Бонн). Рядом дорогущий Burger King, АЗС и мини-магазин. WiFi работал без проблем. Завтраком не пользовались.

Das Zimmer war sehr unsauber; es schien als sein dort nicht gesaugt worden. Die Bettdecke hatte gelbliche Ränder/ Flecken. Im Bad waren Flecken und Haare auf dem Boden.
Die Umgebung und Lage des Hotels hatte mehr einen \"Industriegebiet-Charakter) und es war laut.
Das Personal war hingegen sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Da hat man sich wohl gefühlt.

Ho soggiornato all'ibis soltanto per un lungo weekend.
Non saprei dire se nelle vicinanze ci sono mezzi di trasporto comodi per muoversi perché non ne ho avuto bisogno ma posso dire che tutta l'atmosfera di relax e di ordine ha contribuito a farmi stare bene. Personale molto disponibile e gentile . Colazione completa buona e abbondante Camere semplici arredate finemente pulite e luminose. Per il mio prossimo soggiorno a Colonia prenoterò sicuramente all'ibis. Lo consiglio vivamente.

Für 1 oder 2 Nächte ok...

Wir entschieden uns für dieses Hotel, da es in der Nähe der Location einer Feier war. Die Lage war dafür also gut. Mitten im
Gewerbegebiet,also alles andere als schön. Frühstück war leider mangelhaft! Wasser war leer, Kaffee aus einem Automaten ungenießbar, Brötchen schmeckten wie Pappe. Das Bad in unserem Zmmer war nicht gut gereinigt-überall Haare und muffiger Geruch und kein Toilettenpapier. Das mussten wir uns dann organisieren.

Schönes Hotel in der näher der S Bahn

Wir sind zum Karneval mit einer Gruppe aus 5 Personen angereist. Ersteinmal haben wir 10€ mehr bezahlt als bei Expedia vereinbart wurde und keiner konnte uns sagen warum dieses so ist. Nun gut, dass werde ich versuchen im Nachhinein zu erfahren. Das Hotelpersonal war nett und freundlich, das Hotel sauber und gut eingerichtet. Für 3 Tage Karneval echt gut geeignet. Entweder fährt man mit der Bahn 4 Stationen zum Dom oder mit dem Taxi für 25€.
Alles in allem ein schönes Hotel was Wir sofort wieder Buchen würden.

Einrichtung ist schlicht aber vollkommen ausreichend und sauber.
Schöne große Dusche.
8 Minuten Fußweg zur Station.
Kfc und Tankstelle 100m vom Hotel.
Trotzdem schön ruhig gelegen.

Wenn man ein Hotel in der Nähe vom Flughafen sucht

Wir haben das Hotel gebucht, da es in der Nähe des Flughafens liegt und recht günstig war. Es war sauber und ist ein typisches deutsches 3 Sterne Hotel, etwas abgewohnt aber für den Preis und Zweck vollkommen ausreichend.

Confortable et propre !!

Chambre complètement équipée, confortable et propre. L’hôtel n'est pas si près de l’aéroport mais il y a le Metro juste en face, 1 arrêts et voila! on y arrive a l’aéroport!

Personnel très accueillant malgré la barrière de la langue. La nuit est assez chère (59€ sans petit déjeuné). La chambre est bien insonorisé.
