Hotel is in good proximity to the train station. As walkers, we enjoyed crossing the Hohenzollern Bridge everyday with its iconic views of the cathedral and other sights along the Rhine. From the hotel, it is less than a 1/2 mile to reach the Old Town. Our room was clean with a huge bathroom. Amenities were sparse but staff very responsive whenever we needed anything. The kitchenette and having a washer/dryer in our room was very convenient. Hotel also has an excellent pool and sauna.

Enjoyed our stay starting with location—short walk from the train station and to a restaurant for dinner after arrival. The room was clean and spacious with all the needed amenities. While we did not eat breakfast on site, we did take advantage of the snacks and drinks available for purchase. We were able to quickly and easily get to the Cologne Cathedral in just one metro stop across the river and then take a regional train from the same station on to Berlin. Welcoming staff too! Would definitely stay here again!

Excellent, comfortable room with lovely bathroom and very useful kitchenette. Super choices at breakfast. Very handy for walk into city and for public transport. I just couldn't understand why the signage for finding the Adina when you exit the station is so poor. Motel One easy to find....Adina not so much!

Lovely big room clean and tidy. Close to a train station and 20 min walk over the bridge to the cathedral. Staff seemed friendly.

Ok location but a 20/30 minute walk to the centre. Trains opposite are regular but you have to change.
Room was disappointing, there was a smell from the sink drain & the shower is in the main bedroom not ideal if someone is sleeping in the living area.
Pool was very small the pictures make it look bigger.
Breakfast was nice but there was a limited choice.

Exceptional from start to finish.

We visited here as our first stop on a week long tour of Germany on our motorbikes.

The ladies at reception were fantastic, recommending local places to eat and drink, writing the names down and circling locations on the map. Very friendly people and a great first impression for my first time in Germany!

The room was super, comfortable bed and bedding, beautiful bathroom and plenty of space and appliances. We would definitely come back here if we came back to cologne in the future, which I’m sure we will!

The hotel was very nice and clean, the staff was great. We were there for games com which is conveniently next door with restaurants surrounding it. 15 minute walk to the cathedral and great shopping.
What I would have appreciated if the hotel would have let me know that the garage was not accessible during games com. Other than that it was a fantastic stay.

The rooms were very clean and full of useful items. Our stay was very comfortable, and the staff were helpful. The swimming pool is a delight. A few extra courtesy items, like most other hotels, would be appreciated. The bar and surrounding area were strangely quiet, appearing closed at most times. We were not informed of the ongoing work near the entrance, either prior to arriving, or at check in.

Excellent family stay in Cologne

The location was surprisingly good for being on the \"wrong side of the river\" - it's a short walk to the Koln-Messe Deutz rail station and from there just one stop on the S-Bahn or two stops on the U-Bahn to the city center.

The room was spacious and accommodated my family of four very well. Washer-dryer and kitchenette in the room were very useful.

We paid for breakfast one day and the spread was fresh and expansive.

The only negative for me, and this may be just my taste, was that the pillows and bed were not especially comfortable. Both my wife and I had difficulties falling and staying asleep. So take from that what you will, but overall I have no problem recommending the hotel and will seek out other Adina properties if they are like this.

A nice, clean, new property, however we had no hot water on our second morning and it wasn’t rectified until after we were required to check out, so cold showers during a German winter was not pleasant. Front desk staff were polite and apologetic, but with the price paid for this room, a discount or remedy should have been offered on the spot for such a significant service failure.

Poor service, uncooperative staff

I was thoroughly disappointed with the service during my recent stay in the Apartment Hotel Cologne. Prior to my arrival, I specifically requested a parking space, which was acknowledged by the hotel. However, upon arriving late in the evening, I was informed by the reception that due to some local events, the hotel parking was fully booked. The staff at reception insisted they were under no obligation to inform me of this in advance and simply suggested I search for street parking or check a nearby sports center.

The issues didn’t stop there. The next morning, the breakfast was served for an hour shorter than the hotel’s stated timing, something we were not informed about. By the time we and some other guests arrived, the staff had already started clearing dishes and had even switched off the coffee machine. Despite having prepaid for breakfast, no explanation was given, nor was any effort made to remedy the situation. Overall the staff both in the kitchen and at reception were rude and uncooperative in this situation.
Cologne is a lovely city and we enjoyed our time there, but the hotel’s service fell far below expectations.

Spacious and Comfortable Room with Everything

We LOVED this hotel. We booked two rooms: one for my husband and I, and one for our teenagers. The beds were comfortable. The rooms are large. Having a laundry was important to us since we were on a multi-city journey using minimal luggage. The laundry is an efficient washer & dryer combo where you put a load in, put in the detergent tablet (not provided), and set it to wash and dry. It is located in the mini-kitchen area of the room. Instructions were provided in English. It took about 3.5 hours for a load to complete the wash and dry cycle. The breakfasts were great with lots of options for breads, eggs, bacon or sausage, yogurt, fruit, juice, a coffee machine that had hot chocolate, etc. The service at both the front desk and the breakfast area were great with friendly English-speaking staff. They stored our luggage after checkout until we left the city later that day. The hotel is a 5-10 minute walk from the Messe Deutz train station, which is one train station away from Koln Hbf. We usually walked into the Cologne old town area, even to the chocolate museum, which is 1.5 miles away. We used the gym, which was nice, but not the pool nor sauna.

If we ever make it to Cologne again, we will choose this hotel. I will look for this chain in any future travels we may have in Europe.

Modern apartment style hotel located opposite Cologne's exhibition centre in the city centre (east side of river). Room excellent. Large with full height windows. Comfortable big bed. Modern bathroom with great shower. Kitchen facilities (we only used the fridge). Safe in cupboard. Large TV with English channels. Car park accessed directly to hotel - separate charge for parking (expensive). Immediate local area had limited facilities, but short walk to rail station (which has food sellers) and access to S-Bahn.

Good for families. Rooms a good size and nice facilities. Everything you need, fridge, dishwasher, washer/dryer, stove. The pool isn't big but large enough for 5/6 people at once. Not very warm though.
Very close to the s Bahn and you can easily walk into downtown.
Staff were super friendly!!
Downside was the shower clogged easily flooding the bathroom, handles coming off cupboards, lots of hanging space but only 5 hangers! Very little storage space, we had to keep clothes in our luggage. There was no plug for the sink in the kitchen, dishwashing liquid or tea towel making washing up unnecessarily difficult on departure day.
Overall I think it was over priced for what you get. But apartment style hotels with a pool are hard to find.

We chose Adina for location & as an apartment.
I have coeliac disease so eating in hotels can be quite hit & miss, by having our own kitchenette life is easier!
It is really close to the station which made our trips in & out of the city centre & to & from the airport very simple.
The staff were very helpful & language wasn’t a problem.
The room & bed were very comfortable.
Just took a little time working out the microwave & no plug in the sink so washing up was difficult. There is a dishwasher but not enough pots to use it efficiently.
Would recommend.

Spent 5 nights at the Adina Cologne during a rainy few days in August. The Reception staff were efficient and welcoming. Room size great, with a lovely bathroom.

The hotel is very conveniently located next to the Köln Conference Centre and a short walk to Köln Messe station. We selected this hotel due to the ease of getting to the train station, which allowed us to explore by train, not only Cologne but the wider area - travelling to Bonn, Linz (for a Rhein boat trip) and Düsseldorf (direct trains to the airport). This part of Germany has a fantastic train infrastructure. The hotel is also a short walk to the Lanxess Arena and a superb Italian restaurant is just a two minute walk away (separate review).

This is the third Adina we’ve used (others being Berlin & Hamberg). This hotel has the same in-room facilities we enjoy - a mini kitchen with sink, cutlery & crockery, fridge, coffee machine, oven, washer dryer and mini dishwasher - so well designed that all this can fit into a small space. We usually had a light breakfast in our room, so can’t review the hotel restaurant breakfasts.

One issue with the hotel, typical with many hotels unfortunately, is that only one weight of duvet is provided, usually heavy weight, so you either get too hot at night or sleep under just the cover by removing the duvet itself, and then are too cold. We did ask reception for a summer weight duvet, however they weren’t able to provide one. Would have been 5 stars if not for this.

The hotel was quiet. If you want a party hotel, or you are one of those weird people who like the disco next to your bedroom, you might be happier elsewhere. For us, the privacy and tranquility was perfect. Our room was on the sixth floor and faced the courtyard. We did not hear any trains as some reviewers complained. The walk from transit is 5 minutes away. We managed to walk their easily with heavy backpacks/luggage and a 7 yr old. No big deal. The room has thoughtful design and plenty of functional space. The pullout couch was sturdy and not flimsy or springy. The toiletries provided were nice quality and vegan. The decorative toothbrush cups were not washed but it was a minor oversight as everything else was clean. This is easily one of the top ten hotels we've enjoyed. I wish we could have stayed longer than two nights.

The hotel was very nice, very comfortable and staff were helpful and friendly. However, the hotel is currently in the middle of a huge contruction site and was extremely difficult to find. I had to walk down temporary paths, dirt tracks and on the road itself. Coming home from the the opera the first night I saw lots of rats scurrying in front of me. Not the hotel's fault but they could possibly come to arrangement with local authorities to signpost their hotel better. It took me nearly 2 hours from main train station to find it! I was exhausted and stressed by the time I arrived.

Really nice place. Advantage is the kitchen facilities — very handy during corona where going out as much is challenging. All the necessary utilities you need. Clearly a newly built hotel—has a nice new homey feel with all the mod cons. Security conscious too —access to floors only with keycard. Also, and this is a big plus—staff are very professional and friendly — Sarah at reception in particular was courteous and delivered service with a smile. Very nice intimate swimming pool too which is well controlled for covid. Also about 2-mins walk to Messe Deutz station and only 18-mins from Old Town. Strongly recommend —I will come back

Nous avons séjourné dans 2 appartement de 3 personnes. Les logements étaient propres mais sans plus. Sur le site il est noté 2 parkings (1payant et 1 non) et borne de recharge. Au final uniquement parking souterrain payant et pas de borne pour l'hôtel (elles sont réservée pour un autre bâtiment et doivent fontionner avec une carte particulière)
Le personnel est plutot agreable mais aucun mot de français, uniquement allemand et anglais.
Le petit dejeuner tres qualitatif. La piscine et le sauna sont les bienvenus apres une bonne marche. Hotel situé à 16mn du centre ville et de la cathédrale.

Je verblijft in een ruime kamer (studio) met een comfortabel bed en een zithoek. De badkamer met inloopdouche is in orde. Alles is net. Je kan je favoriete tv- of streamingsdiensten gemakkelijk op het tv-scherm casten. De kitchenette zou wat vollediger uitgerust mogen zijn. Je beschikt over een microgolfoven en een vaatwasser, wat zeker oké is. Maar met slechts één kleine kookpot (geen pan) wordt het moeilijk om een ontbijt of een lichte maaltijd te bereiden. Tip: voorzie ook een keukenhanddoek. Omdat er geen enkel venster kan kantelen, blijft de geur van het eten wel wat in de kamer hangen. Het hotel voorziet een poetsbeurt na drie dagen verblijf. Op zich is dat voldoende, maar de handdoeken zouden wat frequenter vervangen mogen worden. Het hotel is goed en rustig gelegen, vlak bij het station Deutz/Messe zodat je snel naar diverse plaatsen in de stad kunt (S- en U-bahn, gewone treinverbindingen). Het personeel is behulpzaam.

Las habitaciones sucias, sábanas sucias, te invito a revisar abajo de la cama, yo encontré calcetines, pelusas y un calzón.

Los pasillos son asquerosos y oscuros.
Solo hacen la limpieza los jueves.

Alles war sauber und die Mitarbeiter waren sehr nett. Da man nur wenige Minuten vom öffentlichen Verkehr entfernt ist, ist die Lage wirklich perfekt.

Kamer zijn mooi en ruim. Maar niet super schoon. Op de lakens zitten nog haartjes eraan. Wc bril is erg vies. De kamer worden niet schoongemaakt elke dag. Baddoeken worden ook niet verwisseld.

Ich war schon öfters in verschieden Adina Hotels leider war ich diesmal nicht so zu Frieden das Zimmer war nicht besonders sauber. Spiegel schmutzig,der WC Deckel war locker, am Boden Flecken und es wird wenn man es nicht extra dazu sagt nur alle 3 Tage das Zimmer gereinigt Fenster öffnen ist nicht möglich. Bis auf 2 Mitarbeiter waren sie meist nicht besonders freundlich. Dafür ist die Lage super man ist direkt in der Innenstadt. Schade habe bis jetzt eigentlich nur gute Erfahrungen gemacht.
