This is a lovely quiet hotel within walking distance of the busy central Cologne. The staff couldn't be more helpful, even ensuring we had a room on arrival 4 hours before the official check in time. We were even offered refreshments while we waited. The room is clean and the towels etc changed every day. Supermarkets, cafes etc within easy walking distance. Id definitely recommend if you want the peace away from the hustle and bustle of central Cologne.

Convenient for Lanxess arena
Great hotel in quiet residential area so feels very safe. Conveniently located for Lanxes arena which was our primary reason for visiting and is less than 10 minutes away. But hotel also has good connections to the tram system to access other areas of the city and to the main railway station with regular trains to the airport. Room was a good size, clean and comfortable with twin beds, desk, room safe and good shower. Reception not manned 24/7 but self check in was super easy and communication in advance was good. Receptionist who checked us out was very friendly we didn’t see any other staff during our short break.

I got to my room one night and noticed what appears to be a scheiße stain on the new duvet from housekeeping. The stain was in an immediately noticeable part of the duvet; the housekeeper almost certainly directly touched the stain with their hand because it is near the fold crease. And of course due to the staffing issues, it’s not like I can just call down to the front desk and ask for a new duvet - there was literally zero staff in the hotel.
Now for the non-fecal stuff: there were no tissues available, which is fine, but I don’t go on holiday to do something I already do at home (blow my nose into toilet paper); the bathroom exhaust does not work which will create a long term mold problem in the bathroom; the shower doors themselves have maybe 3cm gaps in the middle and along the floor, and this allows so much water to escape the shower basin and onto the floor that I no longer use the overhead spigot; aforementioned staffing issues means nobody on site after 18:00, which to be honest isn’t really a problem so long as there’s no foreign feces on your bed; the motion-activated sink is a nice thought, but due to the time calibration and high water pressure it is almost certainly using more water for things such as brushing teeth and shaving than I would be using with standard knobs.
The hotel was in a prime location, very quiet neighborhood, but that is not enough to overcome everything else.

Very convenient location
This is quite an inconspicuous location situated in the middle of a residential area and therefore quiet and safe surroundings. It is within convenient walking distance of the river, cathedral and main amenities. Highly recommended.

Kleinschalig net hotel op loopafstand van de Lanxess arena waar we voor een concert moesten zijn. Nette kamers, rustige omgeving. Goed ontbijt. Goede en vriendelijke service bij de receptie. Receptie is alleen beperkt bemand. Na 18u niet meer. Maar ze bieden prima services om dit op te vangen.

Peut-Être la chose manquante dans la chambre, c'est un mini réfrigérateur et une petite bouilloire pour faire le repas et garder au frais pour la petite. Le grand plus de l'hôtel, c'est le parking et l'emplacement. Nous n'avons pas utilisé la voiture durant tout le séjour. Malgré le fait, qu'on ne parle ni anglais ni allemand, le personnel fait l'effort pour communiquer avec nous, que ce soit à la réception ou le service de chambre une dame très gentille.
Une ville qu'on adore 2ème visite et que nous reviendrons.
On recommande cet hôtel sans hésitation.

Zimmer zu spät fertig trotz vorherigem Anruf, Badewanne 2 Bett gebucht aber nur Doppelbett und Dusche bekommen, Bett voll mit schwarzen Haaren, meine sind rot! Schrank im Bad verdreckt, nur eine halbe Rolle Toiletten Papier vorhanden.. Was soll man sagen? Dame an der Rezeption sehr freundlich, macht den Rest aber auch nicht besser! Preis Leistung steht in keinem Zusammenhang!

Wie üblich wurde noch die von der Stadt erhobene kulturabgabe fällig. Eigentlich entfällt diese bei Geschäftsreisen, allerdings verlangt das hotel dass sich der Reisende selbst um die entsprechenden formulare der stadt köln kümmert. Ist mir das erste mal passiert, eigentlich werden einem diese formulare beim checkin kurz übergeben. Auf den Hinweis, dass man den Reisenden doch beim checkin zumindest informieren könnte, dass er sich selbst um die formulare kümmern muss gab es nur eine sehr patzige antwort. „Das würde ihnen ja nichts nützen ohne eine Firmenstempel und außerdem sollten sie den buchungstext bei hotels.com richtig lesen...das mit den fomularen steht da alles drin.“ Mir geht es hier nicht um die 8€ sondern die Unglaublich unfreundliche Art wie mit dem Gast umgegangen wird. Das Hotel an sich ist ganz ok aber auch nicht gut...erinnert er an die katholische jugenherberge als ein ordentliches Hotel. Für die geschäftsreise also erstmal bei der Stadt köln die entsprechenden Formulare besorgen, unterschreiben und stempeln....oder einfach direkt ein anderes Hotel buchen.

Wir haben das Hypotenuse gebucht, da es fussläufig zur Lanxess Arena liegt. Das Einchecken hat wunderbar funktioniert und das Personal war sehr nett. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Blick in Garten. Dieses war sehr geräumig und sauber. Da sich das Trepenhaus und der Lagerraum des Housekeeping neben unserem Zimmer befand, war es früh morgens leider recht laut. Der Frühstücksraum war nett dekoriert, passend zur fünften Jahreszeit, und die Frühstücksauswahl ausreichend und frisch. Wir werden das Hotel bestimmt nochmals buchen, dann aber mit einem Zimmer weiter weg von Lagerraum/Treppenhaus.

Wir haben das Hotel wegen eines Konzertes in der Lanxess Arena gebucht. Es liegt ruhig und die Arena ist in nur gut 5 Minuten zu Fuss erreichbar.
