Unfortunately our room (405) was next to the lift , which we could clearly hear so it disturbed us quite a lot in the night.
Also found the pillows quite hard.

I enjoyed my stay in Mauritus hotel in Cologne. Hotel has central location near Heumarkt tram station. Yet it is calm.
Entrance hotel can only be made by card so wuite secure

The hotel is in the heart of the Christmas markets! Walking distance to the river and a multitude of shops and restaurants! The breakfast is good. The room is petite and comfortable. It has a mini fridge but no microwave. The front desk staff were nice!

Great first night! Walking distance to the Christmas Market and plenty of restaurants. The room is modern, not large but cozy. Bathroom is petite with great water pressure. The room got chilly and we couldn’t find the thermostat. There’s a mini fridge, but no microwave however there’s breakfast available. The desk staff are very nice. I would stay here again.

The location of the hotel is convenient - close to tram stop and a few mins walking distance of the Christmas Market at Heumarkt. There is also a great Brauhaus just around the corner for German beer and food.
However, the hotel is on a main road and the traffic was incredibly noisy - even after midnight you should expect to hear drunken shouting, sirens, fast cars driving past etc outside. Our room was also located opposite the elevator, so we could hear every guest on our floor using it and all of their conversations. On our second night a male guest was very loud returning from their night out and as they got off the elevator around 2am they purposefully banged on our door very loudly which was a little scary (I assume they were drunk). If choosing to stay here, keep your doors firmly locked and pack ear plugs if you want any sleep.
In terms of cleanliness, it was quite a dusty room. The sink was very slow to drain water. There was also occasionally a “dirty pipe/sewage” smell in the bathroom - I imagine the sinks need some drain unblocker/cleaning products!
Beds are quite hard and pillows are very lumpy.
On a positive note, the staff we did encounter seemed friendly - check in and check out was quick and easy.
Overall, we chose this hotel purely for location and convenience, but would not choose to stay here again.

Good location. The hotel was clean and the breakfast was great, but it was hot in Cologne when we were there and our room was like an oven. It was uncomfortably hot at night and we really didnt sleep well as a result. We were also really suprised to learn that the pool that was used as the main picture for this hotel on hotels.com was not on the same site, but in fact 2 metro stops away. We felt a bit conned by that.

The hotel is in a good location, just around the corner from the Heumarkt and one of Cologne's best brewpubs. All was clean and tidy with a good sized bed for a single room. All staff were friendly and helpful

Rooms were good but very warm even in November and due to road noisey if window open would benefit from ac. Spa was to die for ended up spending the whole day there

Overall it was good, the placement is good and the staff was good. They helped us with parking in their garage that is just outside. The downside was that it was 30 degrees and we couldent get the room temperatur down so we had aprox the same outside temperatur inside, was hard too cool off when going too sleep.

Das Frühstücksbuffet ließ keine Wünsche offen: Von frischem Obst über leckere Backwaren bis hin zu warmen Speisen war alles dabei. Der Kaffee war hervorragend. Die Lage des Hotels ist perfekt, um die Umgebung zu erkunden. In wenigen Minuten erreicht man sowohl die Innenstadt als auch verschiedene Sehenswürdigkeiten.

Das Hotel liegt zentral fussläufig vom Heumarkt und vom Rhein und Schokoladenmuseum. Das Zimmer war ausreichend und vor allem das Bett war gut. Am Frühstück gab es nichts auszusetzen. Alles war gut und ausreichend. Ich würde das Hotel jederzeit wieder buchen.

De hoofdkussens zijn te dun/slap. We hebben extra gevraagd, maar ook deze waren erg dun, dus hielp niet echt. Wel goede en snelle service, kwamen het direct brengen. Ook vroegen we een waterkoker en kregen deze direct bezorgd. Er was een bureaulampje kapot en ook deze is direct vervangen. Ontbijt prima en genoeg keuze en goede koffie. De afstand tot de kerstmarkten is ideaal dichtbij en goed aan te lopen. We misten wel een (bar) ruimte oid, waar je even wat kan drinken met elkaar. De ontbijtruimte zou hier geschikt voor kunnen zijn.

Hab schon deutlich mehr für weniger bekommen
Mehr als OK war es nicht. Der Eindruck den die Fotos mir bei der Buchung vermittelt haben entsprach nicht wirklich der Realität. Mein Zimmer war winzig. Zynisch gesagt: wenn mein Koffer neben mir auf dem Boden stand, dann war Ende mit Platz in dem Zimmer. Durch eine recht schmale Tür ging es rein, gleich links die Tür ins Bad, und einen Schritt weite konnte ich mich aufs Bett setzen. Dieses stand praktisch mit drei Seiten an Wänden. Nur am Fußende war ein schmaler Streifen wo ich meinen Koffer zwischen schieben konnte. Aber OK, da ich für einen Messebesuch angereist bin brauchte ich das Zimmer eh nur zum duschen und schlafen. Bei geöffnetem Fenster schlafen geht hier nicht, dann steht das Fenster nämlich quer übers Bett. Das Bett hatte allerdings eine ordentliche Matratze. Ich persönlich konnte da gut drauf liegen.
Im Vergleich ist das gesamte Haus eher beengt und nicht so luftig wie es auf den Fotos den Anschein erweckt.
Wenig schön war, dass es im Detail durchaus mal an Sauberkeit gemangelt hat. Die Gläser im Zimmer sowie auch Geschirr beim Frühstück waren schlierig. Ein Handtuch im Zimmer hatte Verfärbungen... im Großen und ganzen war schon alles ordentlich, aber nicht mehr als OK.
Es war OK genug um zwei Tage auszuhalten, aber nicht schlecht genug um sich vor Ort über alles zu beschweren.
