This hotel was very average hence the three star review. The rooms were very tidy and clean however, several aspects let it down. When we turned up to book in at 3pm we were greeted with the longest check in line I have see at a hotel. We proceeded to wait in the bar area with others to see if it went down but it didn't got a good 40 minutes so we ended up getting in the queue. At that point no one was servicing the bar which was a shame as I am sure they would have served a lot of people. We requested a cot bed before arrival and this was not prepared when we arrived. We then were told they would set this up in the room later before we returned. Having gone out for the full day we returned at 10pm to find no cot bed set up. They did resolve this swiftly after raising again.

All in all it wasn't the best Premier Inn experience. The rooms are quite small especially given ours was a family room and we had very little space to move around in with a cot and a pram.

Unfortunately, my experience at this hotel was not pleasant. The bar staff behaved in an inappropriate and uncomfortable manner toward female guests, which is unacceptable in a professional hospitality environment.
In addition, the breakfast quality was poor, as there was an unpleasant smell from the plates and cups, raising concerns about cleanliness.
I hope the hotel management takes this feedback seriously and works on improving both service and hygiene.

Staff were incredibly short, sharp and rude to all customers who were in line waiting to check in, got checked into our \"family\" room which was that small we had nowhere to store suitcases and couldn't walk in the room without stepping sideways next to a wall. Pillows were as flat as pancakes, went to reception to ask for extra and it was way harder to get extra pillows than it needed to be. Hopped in the shower and was full of black mold.

The lobby is nice and very clean. The room was smaller than expected but we were able to find a room that had a couch and accommodated three of us. Shower could use more cleanliness.. Wonderful!

Fantastic stay! All of the staff were incredibly nice to us. The hotel is gorgeous. We stayed on the 11th floor, which gave us incredible views of the fireworks. Cologne is a spectacular city to visit, but it's especially unbeatable on New Years Eve. This hotel was well worth the price, in a great location and we would love the opportunity to visit again sometime in the future. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others interested in visiting the area. You won't be disappointed!

Hust checked out, my overall stay was very pleasant however there was one lady who was rude and she wasn't very informal. We are from the states so if course it was a cultural shock seeing how some things are different. I would've been nice to be informed of bar hours, parking, something to say tgis is where tou can go seeing how it was obvious we are not From here. We have only been living in Germany for a year and we are not entirely there with how things work. Other than the staff, the bartender was nice plus having a bar inside was great. As far as the atmosphere people seemed standoffish, no one from tge staff spoke to us or there guest really. Ive worked in casino's and it's always nice to hear a little about where people are from etc. Beds were hard very uncomfortable, room was small but clean. I felt safe staying here and to top it off it was close to so many attractions and shopping centers. PERK!!! Will i stay again hmm i don't know but just advice for staff, be mindful of the people who visit, Europe is made up of all people from all over the world so never assume we know what is going on.

The hotel room was a little on the small size but was cosy and very comfortable. Overall we enjoyed our stay but there are some points of constructive criticism:
1. The lift. We were on the 3rd floor and found it difficult to use the lifts during busy periods as they seemed to respond to the calls on the highest floors as a default, rather on a 1st come 1st served basis.
2. Breakfast. This was a bit chaotic again during busy periods. The range of food was fine though and set us up for the day.

The concierge service was impeccable. They went above & beyond. We had to send some luggage back to the U.S. The baggage service we used really screwed us over but tge reception desk helped us out because we were in Munich.
They were always courteous to me & patient.

The biggest drawback would be the size of the rooms. Very cramped.

OK for a short stay

Tiny, very warm room, average breakfast. The hotel offers a free drink (200ml of beer) instead of having the room cleaned, which is a great environmental initiative but this clearly isn’t always communicated to the cleaning staff as when we opted for this, we still got the knock for room service (which we declined).
Another great initiative is to not put unnecessary toiletries in the room but offer them at reception if required. However, it’s not environmentally friendly to place everything in a plastic wrapper AND a cardboard box.
Location ok - certainly nothing special around the immediate area but handy for the u-bahn. About a good 20 min walk to the station otherwise. Overall, fine for a couple of nights.

Very small rooms

Found the hotel a bit out the way and the room was so tiny for the three of us with no drawers only a wardrobe. The room was very warm and too noisy to open the window. Room was not designed to accommodate 3 people

Considering the high price paid (because it was Interzum exhibition week), the long wait at checkin was annoying.
Also when arriving I extended my stay for one night, but this wasn't entered into the computer and I was blocked from my room on the last night. I had to wait in a long queue again to get reactivated.

Perfect location, max 150 m from metro station Poststraße. The room was very well equipped and clean. Breakfast had a big verity of food. Cast was very helpful and nice. We really loved our journey hear in Köln and in Holiday inn Express.

Very nice place we enjoy our stay in Koln we did not find a fridge in the room but after my inquiry manegment told me as a practice they don’t provide a fridge.

First off, we had a maintenance person just walk in our room on our first afternoon there. We were napping and he didn’t even knock. Second, don’t bother with the breakfast buffet if you can’t be there before 8am. We made it down around 8:20am and there was nothing left except cold cereal and toast. Third, if you have a car absolutely do not stay at this hotel. There is NO parking at all. We tried for three nights in a row to find parking after we returned to the hotel around 8pm and the garage was constantly full. I ended up illegally parking every night but still had to pay the $18 a day they charged because I would get up really early and move the car to the garage because I was afraid it would get towed. Plus, this hotel is not within walking distance of anything. On top of all this, they have a bar that seems to be a big attraction and was packed and very loud every night-most likely why I couldn’t park my car!

The hotel itself was lovely and staff were very helpful.
Unfortunately breakfast let them down.
There was not enough seating and the actual area where food was served was far to small to cater for the size of the hotel. There also wasn’t a great breakfast food selection.
This particular hotel didn’t seem to match standards of other Holiday Inn hotels which was very disappointing.

Just what was needed. No fuss

Stayed here with my family for my dad's 60th birthday and cannot fault the hotel. The rooms were good for what we needed, the hotel was clean and is located within walking distance of a lot of attractions and breakfast is included.

Would definitely recommend the hotel if you are visiting for a weekend away.
