We stayed at Maison Marsil for our New Year's holiday. Everything was perfect. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Room C2 was spacious, with three large windows overlooking the street in front of the hotel. The room was cleaned daily. It had everything you would expect from a hotel room. Overall, I highly recommend it. I should also mention that it is located in the city center, with access to all attractions and shops on foot or by train. Also, don't miss breakfast at the hotel with its amazing staff. I would like to thank the German and Dutch ladies, as well as the Italians, Luca and his friend. I would also like to thank the receptionist, Frank, who was very professional. If I visit Cologne again, I will definitely stay at the same hotel again.

The only issue was the mini fridge didn't work and the fan didn't work in the bathroom. Other than that, it was great for the price.

The area was nice, the hotel aesthetic was good. The room was small and condition was not worth the amount we paid. The shower leaked onto the floor every use. The balcony was a nice feature, but still not worth the amount paid. There was a long crack in the wall, and under the tile next to shower. I will say the gentleman at checkout was amazing.

This has been one of my favorite hotels to stay at. It is beautiful, cozy and has great attention to detail. The staff are very helpful and friendly, going above and beyond. The amenities, including those in the room are more than most hotels offer. I also asked for a late check and they said no problem and decided not to charge me the late check out fee, which was super nice of them. Love this hotel and cannot wait to return!

Second time at this boutique hotel which is really a B&B not a hotel. The room they gave me was ugly and beat up, considering how much it cost. There was no hotel staff available even at checkin. My room faced the back of the building which had more noise. Luckily, was there for only 1 night. I will not be returning.

This hotel is very accessible, with tram station nearby. There is a supermarket and dm in one minute walk. Staff are lovely and helpful. I didn’t have breakfast there, it costs €16. Overall it’s a lovely hotel.

Such a wonderful welcoming to Cologne for Pride! Unfortunately, I stayed only one night.. The location was fantastic, the hospitality was warm, the room was lovely, and though I haven't tried the breakfast, it looked and smelled delicious. I sure hope to get back soon! - Front desk seemed annoyed that I rang the doorbell to come in, but there is no other way to get into the hotel as the front door is locked. He also yelled \"Only German\" because I only spoke English. If they want only German speaking guests, they should indicate this.
- But there were bugs in the carpet, multiple types.
- Left after the first night, and forfeited the second night that I had already paid for as I didn't trust that moving to another room would solve the bug issue as there is carpet throughout the hotel.

Cool but not really cool
A very cool vibe. But not very cool inside as there is no air conditioning. There is a hostel next door and also a bar, so with windows open it is exceedingly noisy. Also smokers congregate outside below the window. So tfor non smokers like us that’s a drag. no elevator either. The place is pretty hip and I might be tempted to stay there in the winter in a back room. ( ours was on the street).
