I got there before 3pm, at around 12:15 or 12:30pm, and the staff very nicely told me that unfortunately there weren't any rooms available. However, I waited only 20 minutes, and the front desk immediately told me a room was ready and I was able to put my stuff down before heading over the the Gamescom convention center.

The room was spacious and clean, enjoyed my stay there

Good location, not quite as central as the Ibis Koeln Hbf but still very convenient with the university nearby as well as tram stop Barbarossaplatz and rail stop Köln Süd. You can get decent deals here when the Ibis Koeln Hbf hotel is sold out. Interior design is the new Ibis design launched in the 2010s so it has been refurbed not long ago. But very hot rooms in the summer though, it seems aircon is only available in parts of the hotel. Also, tiny bathrooms.

WORST HOTEL IN COLOGNE

So unhappy, there was no air conditionner in any rooms and I specifically booked this hotel because on their website is says AIR CONDITIONING , well its not true, they only have fan systems and that is not working, guest were complaining it was 32 degrees in the rooms, the staff at the reception are trying to find all excuses, that they have it but its not working or its working in some rooms but they dont know which one, I ask for a refund , they refused , I ask they to transfer me at another Accor hotel with air conditioning and they also refused, they are basically laughing at you , even the reception was so hot you could not have a drink at the bar, my first time with such a bad service, I will write a letter to customer relations.

Brusehoved gammel og slidt, medbring din egen sæbe til bad, for det er noget fortyndet der er tilrådeligt.

Sengene er korte, så er du over 190 cm. er det ikke særlig bekvemt.
Hvis prisen var 700 kr. Passede det til kvalitet.

I’ve stayed in many an Ibis over the years and I’m always more bothered about location, this one is five stops from HBF/Dom and the immediate area has Lidl and Rewe supermarkets plus plenty of food and bar options around.

Room was fine, not the biggest and small bathroom but ok for my needs and at €50 a night, what you’d expect!

Die nähe zur Bahnstation war super, Personal war freundlich.

Zimmer: Klein aber ok.
Das Bett hatte nur 1,6*1,9m, es kam keinen Schrank, leider auch keinen Mülleimer (nur einen Mini Eimer im Bad), wir sind eigentlich nicht so penibel, allerdings war der Teppich anscheinend nicht gesaugt, der Spiegel und das Fenster waren auch nicht so sauber.
Das Bad ist definitiv nichts für dicke Menschen (wir sind gut gebaut) und es war schon echt eng drin.

Wir hatten uns das Frühstück dazu gebucht, für 17€. Für den Preis erwarten wir mehr. Die Semmeln waren fast leer, die Säfte waren Sirup mit Wasser gemischt (geschmacklich voll ok) des einzig tolle war die Waffelbar, man konnte sich selbst frische Waffeln machen.

Auf der Webseite stand dass es in der Bar auch Cocktails gibt, daher sind wir nach unserem Konzert direkt ins Hotel zurück gefahren. Müssten dann aber leider feststellen, dass es gar keine Cocktails gibt, nur Longdrinks.

All rather average. Location not too bad for regular trips into the city via scooter (there was always one parked outside the hotel)
I had room 142 and unfortunately there was a lot of traffic in and out of a staff/private area next door which was annoying in the mornings. The curtains and the table in the room covered the only heater which didn’t make it very effective (until I rearranged the furniture). The sheets had that plastic crunchy feel. The bathroom was tiny and I had to sit sideways on the toilet so my knees and head didn’t hit the wall.
No tea or coffee making facilities in the room. I was pleased to see that they provided USB connections though.
Breakfast was okay, although very busy. I’ve arrived back in the UK now, but I think my toast is probably ready 😉
There’s a tiny bar and a few seats in the reception area, but it’s not really a nice place to spend much time.

The room was small. The bathroom very small- but adequate. Only 1 towel per person - no hand towels. Only 1 pillow per bed!

The location is really accessible and close to many places to eat and walk around. I will stay in this property all over again if I go back to Koeln.

Culture differences? Please don't be so glum

Hotel in good location, rooms clean and functional. Only problem we had was when we wanted to use the printer for our flight boarding passes and a previous guest had frozen the software, stopping us from printing directly from the guest computers. I went to the staff at reception and he just gave a look of defence and shrugged his shoulders at me. I then explained the problem further and he gave us the option of emailing him the documents which he could print off, which he then did. Although he provided a solution, the attitude I felt could have been less indignant.

Das Zimmer war bei unserem Aufenthalt ungepflegt. Es gab sichtbaren Schimmel sowie deutliche Verschmutzungen unter dem Topper. Durch den Zustand der Matratze konnten wir beide nicht schlafen.
Bei der Abreise haben wir die Mängel angesprochen. Im Nachgang wurde lediglich eine Teilrückerstattung angeboten, obwohl der Übernachtungspreis für eine Nacht über 100,00 € betrug. Insgesamt entsprach der Aufenthalt nicht unseren Erwartungen an Sauberkeit und Nachtruhe.

Die Einfahrt zur Tiefgarage eine Hölle!
Der Abstand von Asphalt zu Gehweg sind Höhenunterschiede von bestimmt 5-10 Zentimeter. Ich habe das sofort gesehen und bin langsam darüber gefahren und habe es trotzdem nicht geschafft. Ab nächsten Tag ging meine Motorkontrollleuchte an. Es hat sich herausgestellt, dass sich mein Mittel und Endtopf verschoben hat und ich fast meine lambdasonde zerstört habe, da ich diese durch den hohen Bordstein mit Wucht ausgesteckt habe. Wenn ich mir diese Lambdasonde kaputt gemacht hätte, hätte ich Werkstattkosten von von 600-700 € gehabt, da dieses Bauteil stark mit dem Mittelrohr verbunden ist. Glücklicherweise kann ich da nochmal mit einem Schrecken davon und habe für Drüber schauen und Fehler löschen im Bordcomputer in der Werkstatt 60€ gezahlt. Sorry ich kann dieses Hotel nicht empfehlen. Viel zu gefährlich für Autos in die Tiefgarage zu fahren.

Nettes Personal,die Parkmöglichkeiten sind leider etwas mau und in der Umgebung ist das parken fast unmöglich.Die Erreichbarkeit ist super,man kommt mit den öffentlichen in kurzer Zeit überall hin.
Das Badezimmer war leider extrem beengend und es hätte sauberer sein können.
Ein Mülleimer im Zimmer wäre auch toll gewesen,der winzige im Bad reicht für normalen Müll leider nicht aus.

Fast 5€ für eine Flasche Wasser fand ich dann schon sehr heftig,also loeber frühzeitig eindecken.

Ein- und auschecken war problemlos und ging ganz schnell.

Alles in allem war es ganz gut.

Séjour correct, mais cher, 160 euros par nuit avec mon fils de 14 ans, pour 3 nuits.
il fallait en plus payer 17 euros pour le petit déjeuner, soit 34 euros /jour. Au total payé 600 euros.
A 200 euros la nuit, on aurait pu avoir une chambre bien plus spacieuse avec 2 lits dans un autre hôtel.

Im Grunde war das Hotel gut aufgestellt. Check in und out lief reibungslos. Der Barbereich war sehr einladend. Der späte schlummertrunk war aufgrund der vielen Gäste und nur 1 Angestellten für bar und Rezeption schleppend zu kriegen. Vielleicht sollte bei Konzert Wochenenden an so einem Abend eine 2. Person mithelfen. Das Zimmer war sauber. Das bad extrem klein. Aber für 1 Nacht war es ausreichend .
Das Frühstück war sehr lecker, die Waffeln sehr zu empfehlen..

Absolut top klasse til prisen. Top service, god mad og personale, som var venlige og meget hjælpsomme. Morgenmaden var i særklasse god - bedre end de øvrige 3-4 noget dyrere hoteller jeg tidligere har boet på. Der er hvad der skal være på værelserne og selvom de er små og badeværelset ekstremt lille, så havde jeg ikke brug for mere, specielt taget i betragtning at prisen var markant billigere end øvrige hoteller i området. Klart et genbesøg værd.

Mein Aufenthalt im Hotel Ibis Köln Centrum war ganz okay. Als wir ankamen, war in der Lobby ziemlich viel los mit lauter Musik und vielen Leuten, die Spaß hatten.

Das machte es zwar schwer, das Personal an der Rezeption zu verstehen, aber die Stimmung war recht lebhaft.Das Zimmer war insgesamt in Ordnung, nur im Badezimmer gab es ein paar Probleme.

Die Decke war mit Löchern und Flecken übersät, sah ein bisschen nach einem Wasserschaden aus. Das war nicht so toll, hat aber unseren Aufenthalt nicht allzu sehr gestört.

Die Lage des Hotels ist super, direkt im Zentrum von Köln. Das ist echt praktisch, um die Stadt zu erkunden.

Allerdings fand ich den Preis von 260€ für eine Nacht für zwei Personen recht hoch. Auch die Parkgebühren von 15€ pro Tag waren nicht gerade günstig.\"
