Small room with paper thin walls and right along a busy alley with late night bars. Bring sound cancelling headphones. Also, I don't think you're able to control the temperature of the room so bring a fan because it will get stuffy. You can open the window to let in cooler air but you'll also be opening your room up to the street noise. Although it was a location that was close to all the action I wouldn't stay here again.

Had a great stay. The location is fantastic: Less than a block from the Alter Markt and 5-8 minute walk to the Kölner Dom. My room was clean and comfortable. A couple of things…There is no elevator so be prepared to haul your luggage up flights of stairs. Second, the rooms are very comfortable but they are not large. As a single person it was fine for me but for two adults with a decent amount of luggage it may feel a little tight

Like most hotels I have stayed in, this one had both positive and
negative aspects.
Positive:
The location is excellent—very close to the Dom and with perfect
accessibility to all major areas.
Negative:
From now on, I will always include an elevator as a required option
when searching for hotels. I have a knee problem, and our room was on
the top floor. You can imagine how difficult it was to go up and down
repeatedly. We asked the reception to change our room, but they
informed us that no other rooms were available. We accepted this and
went to the room, only to discover that we would be sharing our stay
with many different insects. At least they were “friendly” to us.
We then thought that, at the very least, we would enjoy a good
breakfast. Unfortunately, the answer was no. We were allowed to choose
only one dish and one drink from the available options, and the
breakfast dishes themselves were prepared with very limited ingredients.
I travel frequently—more than 20 trips per year due to my job—and this
was the worst hotel experience I have had so far.

The location is really the best, you come to the hotel and use the code to let yourself in. Then you use the self check in kiosk and you grab your room key. Once you get that, you climb the stairs to your room. Unfortunately The hotel has no elevator so be ready for that. The room was very clean and size wise sufficient.
Now to the negatives. Amenities said it included parking for vehicles however after purchase an email stated that is was off site parking, which was basically paid parking structure. The water pressure in the shower was extremely low, Also the temperature was super unpredictable, it was either too hot or too cold. And would stay the same.

It was not obvious enough when booking that there is no elevator, we were on the top floor carrying heavy luggage. There is also not a 24 hour concierge so when our key stopped working at around 11:30pm -12am, we had to contact the staff through whatsapp and make the climb back down and up the stairs to get a new keycard.

The room layout and staff were great but the thing that let down the whole experience the most was how echoey the staircase was and leading to the sound being heard in the room. For any light sleepers this is a huge problem as I experienced 3 times in the night where people came in screaming and I heard it from the 4th floor, almost in panic mode as people at one point sounded quite horrified. The bin was not emptied either

The hotel was very nice overall. The rooms were very modern, clean, and well maintained. The location is excellent, right in the heart of the old town, Alter Markt and the Rhine just a few steps away. The breakfast was very good, served in the adjoining cafe. The only minor issue was the lack of full time reception staff which made check in and out a slight hassle.

Everyone was very nice but I had to climb 86 stair by myself to get to my room. My fault that I didn’t realize there was no elevator. I ended up breaking my foot.

But my room was nice, including the balcony. I do a lot of research when I pick out rooms and hotels, and I was shocked - it wasnt what I thought I booked through Expedia.

The hotel is ideally located within walking distance of the major Koln tourist attractions.
The room was impeccably clean and very well designed for the limited space. I understand it’s a VERY small boutique hotel, but Reception could be a little more present or easier to reach/accessible when a guest needs to inquire about check-out or luggage storage. Overall, the value for the location makes it a top notch choice and highly recommended for a short stay.

A very cute boutique hotel, safe, clean, and very comfortable. Absolutely amazing location - was just a 7 minute walk from the main Cologne train station. Plenty of places to eat and drink nearby - close the cathedral, walking along the river. Very appreciative of the staff who held my bag while I went hiking my first day. I got back very late but was able to check in no problem because they gave me my card when I arrived. I would absolutely stay here again. Perfect for the kinds of people that love unique accommodation and won’t be bothered by the hotel not having an elevator. I didn’t opt in to the breakfast but it sure smelled good, so I will add it to my stay next time. Thank you!

Overall a good stay. Very central, good breakfast, easy access to Koln HBF. It was exceptionally hot in Cologne during my stay and so the first couple of nights it was uncomfortably hot at night. Staff were able to fashion up a bit of a solution for a more comfortable sleep for my last two nights. Not really their fault though. Be prepared for climbing stairs to your room, not a place for less abled individuals.

Great location and the room was very comfortable. The breakfast was NOT worth the price - I don’t know if there isn’t enough staff or enough food, but the offerings were quite meager by the standards of a hotel breakfast buffet and when items ran out they were not refilled. Part of the problem is that the staff was also serving customers for the cafe, and that was obviously their main focus - you’re better off skipping the hotel “breakfast” and just ordering from the cafe menu instead (and it will be cheaper).

Great hotel in Cologne Alstadt. Clean, quiet and friendly staff. IMO, I would call this a “smart” hotel. Check in kiosk online, menu in restaurant online and TV requires use of your own apps. For us, it was no problem but this may bother other people.

Excellent location. Off Main Street but still life around. Only gave it a 4 for service because reception isn't there 24/7. They have excellent systems around that though. I wouldn't look anywhere else and would book again. One small note, no elevator if that is necessary for you. This isn't unlike most small older building hotels. Perfect for me.

A small and unique hotel. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Good size rooms with fridge, mini safe and tea/coffee making facilities. Plenty of bars and restaurants in the square and only a short walk to the main station and cathedral.

A great location if you want to feel the energy of Koln. The room was small but efficient and the shape of the windows -let you look outside - to see the world go by...
The room had a solid breakfast - that you could even enjoy outside. The one challenge is that it does not have air-conditioning- it did have a fan - which made a huge difference but I would not stay here again in the summer.
I would stay here again - in fall, winter or spring.

The hotel is very well placed for the centre, the main issue with the hotel is no aircon in the rooms, just a cheap table fan. Very noisy due to the location so windows kept closed. My fan motor burnt out the first night and had to be replaced with a much larger and noisier one from the kitchen.

Friendly staff, always happy to help. The hotel was spotless, including the room. I was upgraded to a bigger room at check in. I was facing the courtyard in back which was nice, however, it was a little noisy in the morning due to some tours that pass through the courtyard. I sleep with ear plugs, so it wasn't an issue for me. Another potential issue, the hotel doesn't have an elevator. That may be a problem for some. Overall, a nice hotel in a great location!

For a location that's so close to Heumarkt, you'd never know it. My room on the 4th floor was quiet, comfortable and I even got a sliver of a view of the Rhine from the balcony and the staff were super friendly and helpful.

My only niggle is the lack of Kölsch in the minibar.

Such a small room but functional.

Very small room yet very functional. TV has French and English channels, unlike other hotels. LOT of stairs, but the receptionist brought the suitcase up for me. I took it down by myself. I book by calling Hotel.com for a garanteed balcony, but the receptionist said she never has had such a request !? Then she gave me a room with balcony, specifying that it is the hotel's favor. I did not like the feeling that I owe her something. Breakfast was basic, so I did not take one. Make sure you choose a strasse without coblestone to wheel your suitcase. I was so dissapointed that there is no cachet like in the picture, nothing from the old church which was the prior function of the house; the Lint should not advertise with the photo and the history behind the hotel !

Prima kamers op een top locatie. Goed en gevarieerd ontbijt.
Enig minountje was douchen in een bad welke niet om in te staan gemaakt is (bijna geen vlak gedeelte). Ook geen douchesherm of gordijn dus wordt behoorlijk nat in badkamer. Maar al met al een prima kleinschalig hotel waar we zeker nog eens terugkomen.

The hotel was extremely good for my purposes, which was basically just sleeping/taking a shower there.

The only real downside is that there is no elevator, so it's a bit of a climb every time, especially if your room is in the 4th floor. I didn't mind that though and the room itself was great. I was welcomed with complementary beer and water. The bed was also very comfortable.

There may be some noise during night time as it's a busy area with lots of bars, but that didn't really bother me.

Schönes Hotel - mitten im Geschehen

Intuitiver und gut funktionierender Check-in Prozess. Für die sehr zentrale Lage war es erstaunlich ruhig; bis die Kirchenglocken wie verrückt bimmelten aber dafür kann ja das Hotel nichts. Die Zimmer sind klein aber fein und vor allem sehr sauber. Wir haben super auf der sehr bequemen Matratze geschlafen.

Hotellet og rommet var ok, men helhetsinntrykket ble likevel dårlig.

Ein sehr nettes sauberes Hotel zentral in der Altstadt, sehr nettes Personal, Frühstück war super, Zimmer mit allem was man braucht.
Der Dom ist in 5 Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen, es gibt sehr viele Restaurants in der Nähe.
Ohne Aufzug, und nachts sollte man die Fenster wegen des Lärms schließen.
Für eine städtetrip nach Köln toll !

Tolles Hotel und sehr zentral in der Innenstadt. Check-In und Check-out lief einfach. Zimmer war sauber, Bett sehr bequem - eine Sitzmöglichkeit auf dem Balkon wäre super gewesen und der Druck in der Dusche war relativ gering. Für gehschwache Personen ist die Unterkunft ohne Aufzug eher nicht so gut geeignet. Alles in allem würde ich aber wiederkommen.

Lorsque je suis arrivé vers 19h30 personne dans le lobby, l'enregistrement se fait directement sur une machine avec les codes donnés par l'hôtel. L'enregistrement a ete impossible un message indiqué chambre non disponible. Jai ensuite ete au restaurant qui communique et porte le même nom et on refusé de maider. Je suis retourné au lobby en appuyant sur la sonnette non stop jai fini par avoir quelqu'un qui m'a parlé au travers dune camera. Le gars du bar a appelé la police et le patron de l'hôtel qu'il avait au téléphone a demandé a la police de m'interdire l'accès a l'hôtel. Obligé de payer une au chambre d'hôtel pour la nuit.

Die Umgebung des Hotels war angenehm und man konnte gut Zeit darin verbringen. Der Kölner Dom kann in der Nähe besichtigt werden. Das Frühstück war ebenfalls gut. Die Fußgängerzone war für den Autoverkehr nicht geeignet.

Kleines, persönliches Hotel mitten in der Altstadt. Nachts allerdings laut, Schlaf nur bei geschlossenem Fenster und Oropax möglich. Einzelzimmer zwar klein, aber neu. Für 1-2 Nächte ausreichend. Frühstück im angrenzenden Cafe Lint no7. Besser Hotel ohne Frühstück buchen und dann a la carte im Cafe bestellen. Es gibt dort tolle Sachen, die aber im Hotelfrühstück nicht inklusive sind!

With the exception of a missing elevator and room on the top floor, which we were asked about before accepting, so no complaints there either, it is a great, very centrally located hotel with good staff and great convenience for city visits!

Wunderbarer Aufenthalt

War sehr positiv überrascht. Wunderbares Altstadt-Ambiente in diesem Haus, sehr freundliches Personal, alles sehr sauber, sehr gutes Frühstück und eine Toplage. Ein bequemes Bett und der kleine Balkon machen den positiven Eindruck komplett. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Abgewohnt und unpraktisch

Das einzig positive an diesem Hotel ist die LAge. Die ist perfekt. Das Hotel selbst hat seine besten Tage lange hinter sich. Das Zimmer war im 5. Stock ohne Aufzug, die Treppe dort hin ist mehr als schmal und mit Gepäck sogar gefährlich. Wer nicht gut zu Fuss ist hat keine Chance. Im Zimmer selbst ist eine weitere sehr steile und schmale Treppe zum Schlafbereich. Hier findet man ein viel zu schmales Bett, welches völlig durchgelegen war. Bei der Buchung gibt es weder einen Hinweis auf die 5 Stockwerke noch darauf dass das Zimmer weitere Hühnerleitern hat. Es ist auch kein Doppelbett sondern eher ein französisches Bett. Ansonsten ist das Zimmer abgewohnt und vieles defekt. Es gibt zwie mini Fernseher, einer davon viel fast von der Wand und zeigte nur die Hälfte der Programmen an. Das gesammte Zimmer hat Dachschrägen und dadurch so gut wie kein Platz. Im Bad ebenso, aufrecht stehen in der Wanne zum Duschen ist schon fast ein Problem.
Das Frühstück ist sehr einfach gehalten und könnte deutlich mehr Auswahl haben. Die Rezeption ist nur sporadisch besetzt auch dies ist nicht zeitgemäß.
