Had partial ocean view which was great except we were on second floor right by the air conditioners from neighboring hotel so it took away from ocean sounds.
The parking garage was so very tight, actually dangerous. I saw an SUV get tore up right in front of me because the ramp ways are so small. Bring a small car! It definitely made it stressful to go in and out.

We enjoyed the room. It was awesome to have breakfast there and it's open longer than most hotels which is great! Access to the beach is amazing! Always had fresh towels waiting by pool area and the comfy lounge chairs were awesome! Great location and we could walk to a lot of food and stores.

We didn't get a very good look at the ocean from our 16th floor room BUT that was due to MAJOR lingering FOG.
My only complaint about the room is that it was equipped for 4 people/ 2 queen beds. There is NO room for 4 people, barely enough for 2, and that was with us constantly stwpping aside to let the other person by. I washed dishes sitting on the side of the bed. You have to side step to get to the itty bitty closet. I was not aware of 316 feet (room size) until I stayed here. We won't be back

Room was small. Fridge was not in a good location, door could not open all the wall because of placement in the room. TV size was small. Bathroom needs updating, not enough counter space, and tub was cracked. Door to room was difficult to open. Breakfast was fair, not great.

I don't think the room was oceanfront as their were 3 other rooms on my left blocking my view to the ocean. Every ocean front room I ever booked had a 180 degree view of the ocean. I contacted the manager who happened to be working and she said she could move me to a better room for $30 more. I do want to compliment the person who checked me out. I think her name was galexander. She was a older, shorter lady who make sure I was pleased with the check out service.

The room was extremely dirty. Make up and stains. Dusty and dirt everywhere. Gross. The tub had paint on the bottom. Where they didn’t replace it properly. I’m sorry, I don’t want to shower and have my pores open up and get lead poisoning. I just saying.

Then they didn’t take the money out the account. It was supposed to be taken out before check in. Never happened. I give them the card at check in. They swiped the card. The day of check out, they call me to say your charge didn’t go through. How? And saying how would you like to pay.

I don’t. I dont know how or why a hotel wouldn’t take the money and that’s on them.

The lounge wasn’t all that and the breakfast horrible. The juiced tasted funny.

The parking lot is horrible. No disabled parking within distance. And I couldn’t even get into the parking lot because it was so packed and cramped.

Nope, never again.

Both front desk personnel were a bit curt. I went down about 3am because I needed coffee and a toothbrush. They'd only put DECAF in my room. The gentleman at the front desk was very dismissive, almost threw the coffee down on the counter and when I asked if there were toothbrushes I could purchased he said \"I don't know look over there!\" and waved in a general direction. Bathroom has virtually no counter space,but breakfast is excellent and magnolias is a quit walk .

We had a great fall get away at The Strand. Our room was clean and comfy. Breakfast had great hot options as well as yogurt & fruit. The small hotel bar was friendly and convenient for a night cap. The heated pool and large hot tub were great on a cooler day and the beach was clean and beautiful.

Nice outdoor pool and beach front view. The hotel door was so hard to open and close, my 6 year old son couldn't do it by himself. Other than that, the property was as expected. The lady working the front desk really seems to hate her job, but all other staff was nice and pleasant.

I was placed in Rm 260 nèver again. downfall was the view of trees, cars in the parking lot, you see and hear the people in the pool. There is and side view of the building next to The Strand. This room is barly an ocenfront. For a better real oceanfront view, ask for a room on a higher floor.

Overpowering smell in the room. I needed to buy air freshener. Room was old and needed some TLC. Breakfast pictures are WAY better than what is served. Bar was small, but just fine. The outdoor fireplace was nice as well as the beach chairs!

Staff was great. Hotel is nice and our room was clean and comfortable. It was dated and probably will need an overhaul in the future but we really liked it and enjoyed our stay. We've already booked a return trip. Great value for the cost.

The common spaces were average but the rooms need a complete refurbishment. The first night we had to request to be moved because the rug in the room had a pungent odor. The front desk staff was helpful and was able to change our room. Unfortunately we went from one odor to another. The hotel states no smoking but allows smoking on the balcony. Our room wreaked of smoke from the room next door. We put a towel on the floor in front of our door but that only helped minimally. The pool was nice, the hot tub didn’t have the jets working and the towels were very thin. The best part of the hotel is its location on the beach and proximity to the airport. Overall we were disappointed and wouldn’t choose this property again.

Tiles were falling off the wall in the bathroom. I had to call maintenance to replace burnt out bulbs in the bathroom. I had to call the front desk because there was black residue inside of the tub. And the worst thing yet. My wife was killing roaches in the kitchen in our room. The roaches were crawling out from underneath the stove and baby roaches were in the silverware drawers. Definitely won’t be coming back.

Great ocean view. Room was nice. The wooden furniture smelled musty, but I opened up the doors to let air in. The rain might have affected it . Convenient kitchen and washer was great. The fire pit was a nice touch. And the outdoor lounge area was great.

weekend stay is positive 4 stars

The pricing was very good. we stayed on the 5th floor with a really good view. The door was tricky as we had to really put our weight into it to get it to open and slam it in order for it to shut. the hotel is older but it is clean. and with the exception of the man who berated me for five minutes because I didn't see him trying to exit at the same time I was going to retrieve my luggage. I don't think he was a guest and suspect he was cutting thru from the beach. All in all it was a pleasant stay.

Beach view very limited from Queen Efficiency room. Very nice pool and cushioned lounge chairs facing ocean. Some were shaded by small palm trees. Easy access to beach. Beds comfortable and clean linens. BUT the rooms are old! And very small! Hardly enough room to walk between bed and dresser for a skinny person. Table was useless. No room to sit down. Carpet was very worn and smelly. Made whole room smell like dirty socks.

Fridge leaked and would not keep cold. Tv only worked after maintenance in room 3 times and then switch on wall and light on to work. Phone in room needed maintenance. Shower had a tricke of water and then a maid had to explain how to turn water on! Good housekeeping service. Very small room with all amenities crammed into it!

The room was clean and had all the basic amenities. I loved that the ocean was visible from my bed. The hallways do look a little old, and the walls are pretty thin so it could get a little loud at times but it wasn't too bad. The beach is accessible from the garden area which is really convenient. The breakfast buffet was adequate and there are some great restaurants within 5mins walking distance.
I had a late flight, but they let me use the amenities downstairs after I checked out of my room.
Definitely recommend, will come back

Nice ocean front hotel. Easy to navigate the property. Clean room, breakfast, small bar area. Friendly staff and if you're there on a football Sunday you have to sit around the bar with Tyanne the bartender. She was hilarious, engaging with the customers, laughing, we had fun. Overall we had a great stay and would stay here again.
