The resort is in need of a little \"TLC\". The resort was ok but needed to be refreshed. Our room was a good size and had a great view of the ocean but the carpet was stained and coming up. It's about time for the furniture to be updated. I expected more for the price paid. Overall the resort was nice but I probably won't stay here the next time we come back.

This hotel was great in two areas, location to the beach and the pool area. Everything else about it was mediocre at best.
The room was not very good at all. The bathroom had a slippery coating on the floor to start with. Almost lost it on my first step. Secondly the shower was horrible with the ripped shower curtain, the bathtub that felt like you were going to break through and the one small strip of slip mat on the bottom. There was dirt everywhere on the caulking and they used a caulking tape as a seal. I expect that at a cheap hotel but not a beach front hotel. Also had no cold water in the tub to regulate the hot water. There was no electrical outlet in the bathroom at first but the maintenance crew fixed that fairly quick which was great. It did blow out again but at least the reset button worked after the repair.
My last thing was the breakfast was ok but didn't change much.
The views were amazing off the oceanfront deck. The rest of the room could use updating except for the bed which was descent.
Another concern was the check in process where they try to get you to do a seminar for discounted tickets around the beach town. Not a fan of that tactic. And we did go out several times and come back in where the front desk personnel didn't even say hello or acknowledge us. Felt like they were too busy for us.. Other staff were very friendly, though.
Overall, you stay at a beachfront hotel for the access to the beach and pool. They did a great job with that for sure.

During our stay the beach was being renovated so it was noisy days and nights. Overall, aside from that noise, the hotel was clean and it seems to have the most family friendly environment as we see kids out and about both in the pool and hallways/elevators, while other hotels nearby wasn’t as “energetic”.

The grounds were clean but very minimal, one pool, one \" hot tub\", there was a lot of sitting or laying out sundeck type space. The elevators had zero ventilation and were super hot and sticky. The room was clean, the hallways and lobby areas also were very clean and staff was very kind. The beach was visible and very nice.

Old and run down. They make it look good on line. The rooms were in poor condition. Our fridge barely worked and the air gave up on the last day of our trip. Continental breakfast was bland. Parking was across the street in a parking garage. We won't stay there again. Very disappointed.

It was a fantastic stay. The staff was kind, the rooms were clean, and the view was unbeatable. The only thing I will comment on was that I wish they had a mini fridge in our room. It was not in the listing, so that is my fault, but I still wish they had one. All in all, a great visit yams I had a blast.

Room and building are a little rough for wear but clean. Outdoor area outstanding, I didn't use it but walked through on the way to the beach, but I was impressed with seating area and pool, clean and welcoming. Breakfast was fine. Front desk staff friendly. Free parking, no surprise fees. I would definitely stay again for a competitive price.

Check in was so smooth (thank you Brooklyn!), my sister and I had a 1-bedroom queen condo with an ocean view. Everything was clean and neat. The breakfast was great - each day they switched up the breakfast meat, and some days there were french toast, grits - and always biscuits and gravy. Lots of fruit - and so much more. We were pleasantly surprised - and to have it included was a real bonus! The pool and hot tub are kept super clean, the area around the pool is cleaned every morning, and always lots of towels available. Access to the beach and the sunning area were right off the pool area, easy to get to, and also well maintained. We received replacement towels and trash was picked up if you didn't put the do-not-disturb sign on the door. The location was great, easy to get to restaurants and more. Parking is in a garage across the street from the entrance, and yes, it is very tight, but if you take your time and use the 3-point turn areas, it was not bad. We really enjoyed our visit, and will stay here again when we are able to come back.

We loved staying at The Strand!! The suite was spacious and offered every amenity needed. The decor was a bit outdated but it was clean. The ocean front view was spectacular, and the staff was accommodating. Breakfast every morning was pretty good. Overall very happy with our stay.

The front desk staff & bar employees were all very friendly & helpful. I’d give them a 5 stars. The shuttle driver easily 10 stars!! He was wonderful.

The property itself is not clean & the rooms need a complete overhaul. They are old, in need of deep DEEP cleans and repairing & repainting—they need new carpet & flooring—new appliances + TVs that work properly—the SMELL of marijuana in our room was AWFUL. It stunk the entire 2 days we were there. Frankly you can smell it everywhere but in our room it smelled like it had been hot boxed in for days. We would have moved but there were no others clean and their “clean” leaves much to be desired to begin with. We came here as a group with female basketball players who were playing in a tournament and we all kept saying how the online photos “catfished” us. I would not purposely choose to stay here again, ever. Maybe we can recruit Louis to come to the next place we stay for travel ball?!!

This was my 3rd stay at The Strand in the last two years and it was, as always, a lovely experience.

The front desk, housekeeping, and breakfast staff were all friendly and helpful and went the extra mile to help me whenever I asked for something. My room was clean and well-stocked with towels, toilet paper, etc. and I was able to lower the thermostat to my preferred temperature. The complimentary breakfast was, in my opinion, phenomenal - eggs, bacon/sausage, biscuits, gravy, jelly…yum!!!

There was one day the Internet bandwidth wasn’t the best, but I think maybe that’s dependent on the number of people attempting to use it at one time and possibly the high winds we experienced that day. I couldn’t find a luggage trolley the day I left, but that’s not the hotel’s fault.

The guests I interacted with were friendly, polite, and said they were enjoying their stay, as well. I look forward to staying at The Strand again as soon as possible!

This was a great hotel, clean, cleaning staff very attentive maintenance came quickly when needed for a minor issue. The only thing that was a bummer was no indoor pool and just needed a little bit more of a variety of breakfast options. Also, when checking in I had a older Caucasian lady that assisted with our checking in she was ok BUT I did notice that although she wasn't assisting anyone upon our arrival she was carrying on a conversation that was I guess a little more important than immediately greeting me and beginning the check in process.

Got to the room - problems.. not properly cleaned fully. We found trash beside the bed and the t.v. cable was broken, we was able to fix it. Hdmi didnt work at all. We had to purchase an adapter. Outlet only one part worked. Outlet next to bed the ones in the beside worked but not the desk. Only had a coffee maker no fridge or microwave. 2☆

We stayed in the one bedroom suite. It had two balconies and while some could say it was a bit dated, I disagree. It had stainless steel appliances in the well stocked kitchen, two 50in lcd TVs. The bathroom was a bit small but the view, cleanliness and size of the room was amazing! It had a pull out sleep sofa and if you had to, you could put a queen blow up mattress as well. It was a very good stay

We have stayed at The Strand numerous times related to work. We have tried 4 other places within the year and regret that we have not been able to stay at The Strand. Love the ocean views. love the service. love the cleanliness. Breakfast is a nice benefit. The staff is always helpful when requested. Maid service is excellent. (They ALWAYS deserve a tip). Never tried the gym. The hot tub was incredible and safe even during our last stay during a wind storm. AMAZING

But our bathroom had not been adequately cleaned, and the ocean view room was really just a partial view with a tiny, tiny balcony. The staff were friendly and efficient, and parking was easy across the street in a parking deck.

Had partial ocean view which was great except we were on second floor right by the air conditioners from neighboring hotel so it took away from ocean sounds.
The parking garage was so very tight, actually dangerous. I saw an SUV get tore up right in front of me because the ramp ways are so small. Bring a small car! It definitely made it stressful to go in and out.

We enjoyed the room. It was awesome to have breakfast there and it's open longer than most hotels which is great! Access to the beach is amazing! Always had fresh towels waiting by pool area and the comfy lounge chairs were awesome! Great location and we could walk to a lot of food and stores.

We didn't get a very good look at the ocean from our 16th floor room BUT that was due to MAJOR lingering FOG.
My only complaint about the room is that it was equipped for 4 people/ 2 queen beds. There is NO room for 4 people, barely enough for 2, and that was with us constantly stwpping aside to let the other person by. I washed dishes sitting on the side of the bed. You have to side step to get to the itty bitty closet. I was not aware of 316 feet (room size) until I stayed here. We won't be back

I don't think the room was oceanfront as their were 3 other rooms on my left blocking my view to the ocean. Every ocean front room I ever booked had a 180 degree view of the ocean. I contacted the manager who happened to be working and she said she could move me to a better room for $30 more. I do want to compliment the person who checked me out. I think her name was galexander. She was a older, shorter lady who make sure I was pleased with the check out service.

The room was extremely dirty. Make up and stains. Dusty and dirt everywhere. Gross. The tub had paint on the bottom. Where they didn’t replace it properly. I’m sorry, I don’t want to shower and have my pores open up and get lead poisoning. I just saying.

Then they didn’t take the money out the account. It was supposed to be taken out before check in. Never happened. I give them the card at check in. They swiped the card. The day of check out, they call me to say your charge didn’t go through. How? And saying how would you like to pay.

I don’t. I dont know how or why a hotel wouldn’t take the money and that’s on them.

The lounge wasn’t all that and the breakfast horrible. The juiced tasted funny.

The parking lot is horrible. No disabled parking within distance. And I couldn’t even get into the parking lot because it was so packed and cramped.

Nope, never again.
