Beforehand myself and two friends were a bit worried about the location and distance. However as time went by it was actually not that bad. The breakfast there has been the best I have experienced on any trip and the staff were really friendly. The room I had had everything I needed and was bigger than I thought. Overall, really enjoyed the stay and hope to come again.

We had a great stay at the Pacific Hotel Fortino. The included breakfast was above average, the rooms were great, the staff was super. Parking was interesting getting into the garage. Taxi to downtown was only 8 euros. The only negative was that there was no A/C but the windows opened to cool the room at night.

Overall good, but definitely not a 4 star hotel

Decent breakfast, though as a vegetarian, having no suitable veg hot wasn't great and the peas, which was the only hot item was touching the meat and the same utensils are being used, which isn't really acceptable.

Rooms are outdated, and need renovation. Temperature in the room couldn't be controlled, and the TV is about 18 inches, which is pretty rubbish for a 4 star hotel. Similarly, no kettle/tea/coffee in the room, and 5 euro charge of you want this, which again for a 4 star hotel is poor.

No amenities in the hotel, so again not sure why this is a 4 star. No gym, pool, spa, etc.

Location is ok. 17mins walk from il Mercator. Buses to central Torino is a 11 minute walk, and the journey in total takes 25 mins.

Staff were friendly, and helpful with regards to a late checkout.

Overall and average stay, and definet room for improvement.

Bedrooms clean and comfortable. I request rooms for 2 but could not choose twin or double and we got doubles. For the 1st night it was too late, but the 2nd night it was solved.
One of the bedrooms at the last floor was noisy and we were offered another bedroom.

good location, decent room, bed comfy - but not a 4 star hotel.
- no in-room coffee/tea maker/kettle - you could rent for €5!!!
- minibar had free water, nothing else
- air con didn't seem to cool the room
breakfast was about the worst I have found recently. I like fresh fruit salad with cereal - this only had tinned fruit - or bowls of fruit to peel yourself. The cooked food was quite extensive but didn't look appetising. coffee from the machine at breakfast was ok, but for a 4* I would have expected the waiting staff to get real coffee from the barrista machine that was there but not used.
The bar was small. There are 2 others apparently, but the only one in use was able to seat 8 people, and the bar staff was intermittently available - you had to go to reception to ask him to come to serve.
Overall, Pacific Hotel Fortino - you could do a lot better....

The hotel is not in a great location, which is a bit run down and not entirely pleasant. On top of this, the walking times given on hotel.com are wildly optimistic, mostly half the time it actually takes to get to the places listed.

The hotel has three bars, but none were open until 6pm, for food or drinks. After a 6hr drive, and arriving when it was raining heavily, I didn’t expect to have to leave my hotel and get soaked, just to have a much-needed beer!

That said, the man on reception did at least offer me and my pregnant wife an umbrella, when sending us out into the rain, rather than finding some way to open a bar...

The room was pretty solid, and the breakfast pleasant, too.

The Hotel was excellent value for money. A few minutes walk from the Dora Railway which runs direct to the airport for 3 euros. It probably takes 20 mins to walk in central Turin but it's a straight line. Hotel was clean, staff friendly. Breakfast had loads of options, I would definitely use it again.

Pleasant hotel. Decent room and nice roof terrace area to sit and enjoy a glass of wine. Hotel was slightly too far from the city centre. My wife and I stayed here in August 2017. The hotel and the staff were very nice but there wasn't really anything nearby. It had its own secure parking if you are willing to pay and a decent restaurant for breakfast and dinner. It could be because we were there during August, when everyone is on holiday, but we had to walk almost 15 minutes to find anything other than a cafe. Additionally, it's about a 5-10 minute to any bus stops if you want to go downtown.

The hotel was super nice for a family. We had 2 connecting rooms for a fare price. It is well located with a grocery store just in front, some good tratorria/restaurants in a walking distance. There is a bus not too far which brings you to the most important places to see. People are welcoming and nice and speak English, French and Italian (maybe other languages too).

The hotel is a good 20 minute walk from torino p.s station. There is a bus from the station that passes by the end of the street. ( no. 10 I think ). Room was spacious with a large bed. We found the bed comfortable. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room, not an issue for us as we never use them anyway but may be a problem for others. The decor in the room is quite dated and a little tired looking but it was clean. The bathroom could definitely have done with an update, however it was functional and served it's purpose nicely. We had a room on the second floor and were not bothered by any street noise at all even with the window open during the night. Breakfast was ok. Plenty of choices of the usual cereal, pastries, fruit, meats and cheese etc. A pleasant stay within reasonable walking distance of the city centre. Decent pizzaria restaurant at the end of the street.
One complaint I do have is that after returning from a day out at 4.30pm our room had not yet been cleaned, although the lady was in the landing making her way towards us, we hung the do not disturb sign on the door. Not a big issue as we only stayed 2 nights but if we were staying longer I would have expected the room to be turned round earlier in the day.
Wifi was also very poor, although free, seemed very unreliable.
I would not have thought the rating was 4*, I would have said 3*

Nice hotel, ideal base for sight seeing

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights after travelling from England to watch Juventus. The transfer from airport to hotel was around 30 minutes and 30 euros in a taxi from just outside the airport. On arrival to the hotel, we were offered friendly customer service and very fortunate in being able to check in early, around 1100. The room was very clean, spacious, tidy and had all that we needed (hairdryer, towels, a fridge minibar etc). It was also lovely and warm, perfect temperature after walking around chilly Turin all day! The location was ok, slightly undesirable area, however the walk to the stadium was around an hour, and the beautiful city around 30 minutes. Also several supermarkets close by. We had read previous reviews about feeling unsafe when walking around the hotel location, however as a couple we did not feel unsafe but alone this may have felt different. All of the locals were very friendly and all willing to try and speak English to help you. On the first night we ate dinner in the hotel, which was delicious but a little pricey when compared to the following nights. We visited Lampara in the city, an Italian restaurant- which was fantastic food, friendly staff and very reasonably priced. Many of the restaurants in the city do not open until around 7:30pm. Overall, we had a fantastic stay at Pacific Hotel Fortino and it would definitely be top of the list when we revisit Turin again, we definitely recommend!

When we reached the hotel, we could not believe that this was the hotel. A 4-star hotel and and with review of \"VeryGood\" ?? This could not be true. The hotel is located in one of the worst areas of the city, which is what most causes fear, terror and repugnance. The hotel adjoins a park full of homeless people, sleeping on mattresses shattered the weather. To make the long story short, THIS WAS A NIGHTMARE.Therefore, we had to get a new hotel, and lose money.

We got to the hotel at 9pm and wanted to get the dinner at the hotels restaurant. They said they will serve us, so we ordered food and the food was horrible. The meat was raw, totally tasteless and extremely expensive. I can't believe that they're still in business serving food. Don't go to eat at their restaurant. Otherwise it was good stay.

A jewel of a hotel with great access

A wonderfully, comfortable, clean, quiet hotel with a very good breakfast, nice evening restaurant, and good wi-fi around the lobby but ok in the room. Very reasonable priced next to the River Dora.You can take the train from the airport to Dora Station for 2.7 euros and walk to the hotel across the Dora River in 10-15 minutes. The #11 bus from Dora Station, 1.5 euros, takes you to the middle of downtown or out to the Venaria Real area and Royal Palace/Gardens there. If you don't mind being a little out of the way, but with easy access to most things, this is a great little hotel with a cordial staff who are proficient in English.

DO NOT STAY HERE OVERPRICED AND RUDE TO AMERICANS

Terrible. The hotel is so overpriced it is ridiculous. What made it worse was that the location is very far from the city center. It cost more to stay here than the 5 star hotels in town. I asked to cancel my second night and they said that they would not allow that and forced me to stay the second night. I booked through hotels.com but hadn't paid yet. They said that if I checked out and didn't want to stay the second night that they were gong to charge me anyway. The room was small and the \"restaurant\" was in a ballroom in the basement of the hotel. If I paid half the price I did I would be upset, you can imagine how I feel now.

This is a very well appointed hotel in a quiet residential area. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast buffet was fantastic. The room was sizeable. The wifi was a bit slow but worked fine. It is very convenient for the train from the airport. The only real downside is the distance from the city centre, which, at about a mile, was a bit of a walk, but there were plenty of buses so that wasn't a problem.

Livin' the Vida No Sir!

The hotel given wasn't ready with bed unmade, soon remedied and complimentary upgrade attained.

Went down to purchase some drinks form the bar and was told that the bar was closed. After complaining (again) drinks were arranged for us!

Whilst listening to music in our room we received a call from reception to ask us to turn the music down (it was 6pm-and the music was hardly loud)!

On return to the hotel after an evening's walk around the city, we decided to try the restaurant connected to the hotel. As we walked in, it was empty save for one or two customers so we decided on room service instead as there was no atmosphere. We looked at the room service menu and we still had an hour before closing. I called down to order and was rudely informed they were too busy to take the order.

I called reception to complain, 10 minutes later the restaurant called back and we made our order, the food arrived a little later and it was very good. No apology though!

We called for a taxi and was told no, call five minutes before we need one, why they couldn't have just ordered one for the time we needed I just don't know.

If you enjoy minimal contact with the establishment and like feeling like an inconvenience to the miserable, non-smiling, and unhelpful staff; then this place is just the ticket.

People tell me, \"well that's Italy for you\" but I won't settle for rude and unhelpful when I'm paying for a service.

Surprisingly great hotel

The price is not indicative of the quality of the hotel and its rooms. The breakfast included is perfect. You can't beat the quality/price ratio.

It was very cold in the hotel, outside was better

Everithing was very good, except the cold in the room. I coudn't sleep in the night and I've got sick. In the room were 21 degrees Celsius, in the hall was better.

Cute clean hotel from an other Time.

The Town of Ospedaletti is Worth the stay at this super clean hotel from an other age. marble bathroom, pristine clinen, gorgeous see vue with balcony, this hotel from the late 50' s has benefited from exceptional maintenance. Recommended for quiet couples who want to discover the true Italy. Simple enjoyable

Good quality hotel

Location initially seamed a little out of the way. However it's just a 20 minute walk to the cathedral area. The reception staff were helpful and polite issuing the contact less key entry cards. The room was up to the standard stated with 24 hours internet free but you had to log out after each session. Breakfast was buffet style and plenty of variety especially if you have a sweet tooth. Overall a nice stay and one of the best hotels on my current trip.

Lovely!!

I loved the hotel and the super friendly staff specially the restaurant staff, a centre place to stay if you travelling from Paris towards Rome, or just go there to relax and enjoy!

Doesn't feel like a 4 star!

Turin has definitely been my least favourite destination in Italy. The hotel lacks the amenities offered at most 4 star hotels. The mattress of the bed was terrible and uncomfortable. The area is not great either. Overall I was more than happy to move on when it was time.
