This hotel is perfect for families with young kids. They had s'mores every night which the kids looked forward to doing every night plus the outdoor space was really nice to lounge around at night. Breakfast was included every morning with something for everyone (waffles, eggs, potatoes, toast, yogurt, cereal, oatmeal, fruit, coffee, milk, juices). Their indoor pool was clean and it was nice that we didn't have to sunscreen our kids. The gym felt clean and had all the items to get in a good workout. Location was great easy to get in and out and around. Definitely our go to place to stay while in Big Bear.

It was a clean and great place overall, honestly better than staying at home in some ways. The breakfast was good, although the items were exactly the same every day.

Things I didn’t like:
I traveled with my family and booked suites, but they gave us rooms facing the street. The car noise was coming inside the room starting early in the morning.

The heating system was not working properly, and the room stayed cold the entire night. Unfortunately, my kids got sick because of that.

The indoor pool water was also cold, while indoor pools at similar hotels are usually warm.

Another disappointing thing was the parking fee. After spending hundreds of dollars on the stay, they still charge for parking instead of providing it for free.

The ladies at the front desk were not very helpful, especially the one with glasses. I asked about room availability, and she first said they were sold out. Then I showed her availability on the app, and suddenly she said, “Oh, let me check… yes, it’s available now.”

I also asked for a bottle of water. First, she said they only provide water at check-in. I told her I never received one during check-in. Then she checked the screen for a moment and said, “Oh, you’re not a Diamond member, so we can’t give you one.” Refusing even a simple bottle of water felt unnecessarily cheap.

On the positive side, the night staff were very kind, and helpful.

Informed upon arrival that hot water was not working properly, but that they were \"working on it\". After a long afternoon of driving to an area with cold temperatures, hot water is expected. I would never pay for a hotel that didn't have hot water. We stayed there 1 night and paid over $450+ for our room, 2 pets and parking. A hot shower should be a given. Also, asked for a late check-out at time of booking; was not informed that this was not possible until the day of check out when I \"confirmed\" with the front deck. She said all the \"doubles\" were booked so no late check out on that room. The primary reason we selected this property was for the late check out. As a gold member this is usually never an issue. I understand if they are fully committed, but they should have suggested a different type room, in order to fulfill this request when we checked in. Overall not a great experience.

Pros: Amenities and staff were 5 stars. Everything was clean, great breakfast options, facilities excellent.

Cons: An issue we had was that housekeeping did not come to clean the room when we requested but other than that they were responsive and eventually showed up. Also, the breakfast line for the waffles was slow so it could take up to 20+ minutes. If a parent is in line and wants to make a 2.5 minute waffle each for a family of four that would be 10 minutes for that one person. I would recommend improving that process somehow, or even pre-making some waffles to prevent the bottleneck.

Summary: Incredibly clean and location was perfect. Would stay here again and recommend to others.

Everything was going fine until the breakfast. They seemed to be oversold hotel that day. there were so many people at Breakfast which was obviously taking long to get to food. Seeing it all they could have extended the breakfast timing by 30 minutes. they litterally closed the breakfast on people's face while they were still trying to put food on their plate. it was something that I have never seen in my life.

The hotel is relatively new, clean, and comfortable. We got to do S'mores and hot chocolate every night, which our little one loved. There was also movie night but a bit crowded so we didn't join. I loved that there's coffee in the lobby throughout the day, I was able to have coffee and hot tea whenever I wanted without having to use the in room coffee maker (which germaphobes are often reluctant to use). Breakfast is included but not very appealing nor tasty - its the usual eggs, sausage, bagels, make your own waffles, oatmeal, etc, but just looked like really cheap quality foods. Overall we did have a comfortable stay, including our small pup. That said, we were charged $75 pet fee instead of the $50 advertised on the page. My pup is very well behaved and doesn't make a mess (you wouldn't have known there was a dog with us), so a bit disappointed for the slight overcharge. Parking was pricey at $29 per night. Overall it did feel a bit \"nickel and dimed\" for everything. For what you paid to book the room expect to shell out an extra $140 for all the additional fees and charges when you check out. Based on a 2 night stay.

We arrived about 2pm. Checkin is 3pm. It was not busy and room available, but wanted to charge me $50 extra for the convenience. We chose to wait. The hotel decor was nice, but the lighting was way too bright in the lounge/dining area giving it less than desirable ambiance. Our room was on first floor. The only window was below ground with egress dug out and escape ladder up to ground floor. It made for a dark room.

I’ve used Expedia for years with no issues, but this trip was terrible. After driving from San Diego to Big Bear with my toddlers and baby, Hilton said there was no reservation. We waited two hours in the lobby while Expedia and Hilton sorted it out in the snow. Case #19935270 — I’m requesting a full refund for the stress and inconvenience this caused.

Great experience and service here. S’mores in the evening near the fire pit provided by staff.

They charged $29 for parking per night for off season. And they even taxed the $29 with a tourism tax. It is just annoying to have to call a property to ask about their parking cost to really determine the real cost. Additionally, this is the second property like this we have had to pay with no security (posted note that theif was not thrir responsibility).

There is no entry to hotel from the street which is its address. We couldn’t find the phone number to this specific hotel. We called main number. A note about how to enter the premises would have been helpful.
Check in lady charges us $29.95 for parking. She claimed that there was a note somewhere online that said parking would be charged even though I was alerted to the price I paid included all fees. She wasn’t friendly like most people in Big Bear are.
Hotel room did not have any toilet paper!! Incredible.

Disappointed. Hotel says it’s on main boulevard but is entered from a back street. Parking is $29/night extra and lot wasn’t secure most of time there. Breakfast ends at 9am. This isn’t a commercial hub and most are visiting to relax..not rush. Big Bear is a nice place to visit.

Ok overall. Some of the staff was very nice, others not so much. Booked us into the wrong room initially, but problem was corrected quickly and they removed a day of fees. We had a wonderful stay at Home2Suites by Hilton in Big Bear. Most importantly for me , the room was very clean. The hotel also has great amenities like, a gym, indoor pooI, patio with gas firepits. The breakfast had someone for everyone. I also liked the small details like 24 hr coffee, tea, and hot cocoa.

Fortunately for my family, even though the front desk and room staff had some call-in-sicks, the remaining staff were up to the task. My kiddos loved the gym, pool, and various lounge areas. They even gave us skewers for our marshmallows. The rooms were spacious and well appointed.

Simple hotel located just off the main road, close to many stores and not far from North Lake or Big Bear Village destinations. Very small indoor pool (put 20 people in there and you'll feel like Vegas on Memorial Day) and jacuzzi. Things could have been a little cleaner - some kind of brown stains on the bathroom wall and the outside area had a lot of bird droppings that no one bothered to remove for the 2 days we were there. Wasn't thrilled with the surprise $29 parking fee - seemed unnecessary for a hotel of this caliber.

The property is definitely a newer facility that is well maintained. The breakfast in the morning can get busy but there are plenty of options to choose from. it is very accommodating for pets. The staff was friendly and there is plenty of parking. Overall, it was a great family experience and definitely somewhere we would stay again in a future trip to Big Bear.

Front Desk charged extra $29.06 for parking. I requested her to validate the parking, but she refused. I asked her if I speak to the general manager & I was told general manager is unavailable. Also, the room 351 was located near lumber yard. Woke up at 6am due to loud forklift, 18 wheelers & other construction equipment noises.
