We loved our stay at Sessions. The rooms and all facilities were exceptionally clean. The staff was very helpful, especially Venetia. The amenities were great, we especially loved being able to play in the snow on the back of the property, since we have very young children it was very convenient. Just be aware that the building is older and so not as quiet as a normal hotel would be, although that wasn’t too much of a problem for us. Great location, definitely worth the price.

If was an OK hotel. The room was pretty small for 4 people. We were also disappointed because the play room with the arcades and games was not available for us to use because they allowed someone else to buy the whole play room, and I booked this hotel because of the playroom as I wanted to entertain my kids.
I wish there was a fire place too

Service was very helpful. I had an issue with my car breaking down here and the staff willingly helped try to jump start my car. When that didn't work they let me know where to find local mechanics available to help fix it. After checking out I had to call a tow truck and they let me stay in the lodge until it arrived. Very considerate and accommodating to my situation.

Also, room was nice and clean and had everything I needed. Kitchen was nice as well. Place was quiet with no interruptions to my stay. Neat little comfy hotel, I would recommend to anyone.

The room paint is so dark on the wall of the room; doesn't feel cozy, the metal under the beds are so noise ànd awful, doesn't have enough carpet in the room for winter time. Also you have to explain that you have only cable and how to use it. You don't offer Netflix or other choices...

We really loved the room and the full kitchen, meeting the owners and walking around the property. The room was clean and decorated in an interesting way, and we found all the items we need to make breakfast and lunch in the kitchen.
On the down side, the room was too close to the main street and very noisy at night. We had to go out and buy earplugs. And heater was noisy when it cycled on and off , and there was a strange noise when the people next door took showers. .
If we atay there again we would ask for a different room. The property has a lot going for it

I arrived hotel at 7 PM. The room was different from the hotel photos I saw; I don't know why I booked the wrong hotel. The office was already closed, and to make matters worse, the bathroom door was locked. There were no hotel staff, and I couldn't find anyone! There was no toilet either, so I run to the McDonald's in the cold night to use their restroom. Hotel Staff finally opened the toilet door after 7 AM . I didn't sleep well .The room was very old and dimly lit, the sofa and chairs were very dirty, and the stool by the door was covered in dust, clearly unused for a long time! Hotel really shouldn't have charged me for the room and should refund my room fee.

The check-in process was very easy and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Location is near Big Bear Village and also close to restaurants. The room was as stated in the description. Dog-friendly and there are many places to relax outside and in the common area with your pups. Having shared kitchen access was also convenient. Would stay there again.

I had a bad experience at Cathy's Cottages with mice in my room so I moved here. Jacky at the front desk was so sweet and welcoming and the property is well maintained and very comfortable. I also liked that they did not charge more for weekend nights like all the other hotels in Big Bear. Next time I am in town, this is definitely where I am staying. Highly recommended. A+

NO AC!!!!

No AC!!! That about sums it up. For locals who are accustomed to having No AC and aware of this fact, that may be fine. However, if you're driving from out of town and expect a nice, cool room when you check into your hotel, do not stay here! When asked about this, I was told, \" Oh we don't advertise if we have AC or not, Sorry\". I find that practice highly unacceptable. If I had known, I would have never booked the reservation, particularly since I have certain health issues. My husband and I literally were in the room less than 5 minutes before we had to find other accommodations. And guess what, the Hampton/Hilton down the street had AC. I would definitely not recommend stating here during the summer. The winter may be fine as apparently they have heat, but no AC!

I have been to Big Bear many times and this stay was the best. Very unique property nice cleanly rooms and very quiet even though it sits on the Big Bear Blvd. Cold plunge, sauna, horseshoes, bean bag toss and a pool. Close proximity to the village for dinner and close to both ski resorts. Will definitely stay there again!

Big Bear generally has some low-end rustic (meaning rundown) dated properties. Sessions breaks that mold. My room was updated to be more modern. Felt more spacious and was decorated in a really cool manner. Think Austin Powers! The staff was terrific and the facilities were really nice. There was a really nice clean pool and there's a nice hangout area with fire pits. I would say sessions is the best place in Big Bear I've stayed at yet by far.

Tiny room, bed occupies 80% of the room (size wasn't mentioned on Expedia), no elevator, lots of steps to go to 2nd level, TV didn't work (manager agreed that we move to a 1st level similar room), closet totally dark, no coffee machine. My wife and I were even debating the idea of traveling back home that evening instead of spending the night in that place.

This hotel is our new favorite spot! It's the low key vibes of adult summer camp, but with all the style and comfort of a NYC four-star hotel! Beautiful, photogenic rooms; sensitive eye for detail in all the decor; and fun nooks and finds around the property, from tether ball, to pickle ball, to a pool, to hanging hammocks, and a beautiful mini hike. I'd recommend this to any couple, single, or family looking for a retreat in the forest that offers that perfect balance between city comfort, and outdoorsy fun. Impressed enough to write my first review on here!

We really loved our stay at Sessions and will definitely be back because our room was fun and they are very doggy friendly. We were also pleasantly surprised when the owners made us burgers on the house. The only reason I didn't give them five stars is because they had a large wedding party during our stay. Because of that it was tough to get the staff's attention when we needed help and the office was often closed or unattended. Even with that we loved their vibe and the staff couldn't have been nicer when they were available. Definitely want to give them another shot when things aren't so crazy for them.

We had an outstanding stay. Paul checked us in and was super friendly and helpful. While checking in, we met one of the owners, Frank, and he saw that we had kids so he sent a smores pack to our rokm. He guided us through all of their activities. They have a carriage that they can take you around the property in, fire pits, grills, a separate lodge with a pool table and kitchen, and a really cool boat with pirate gear for the kids to play in. They even have a lounge that serves beverages that is open until 10pm. The rooms were spacious and cozy. There was a lot of thought that was put into this property. It seems to be owned and operated by a husband and wife and they do an amazing job. We will definitely be back.

It is separated from your room, prob 10 foot away. Very cosy and big!

But when you book the room, it was not clear that the kitchen is for everyone and totally separated from your room.

Other than that, pretty convenient location, 5 - 10 minutes drive from ski lift and lakes.
