The room had a dusty smell right through. Some of the staff wasssss sooooooo unmannerly omg. The water that was suppose to be hot was barely warm, no iron, no hair dryer stupse and the list goes on.The restaurant staff was the only mannerly staff thumbs up to them. But I would neverrrrrrrr recommend there to no one. It's not ready yet sorry but that's the truth.... \"Hotel Terra\"

They did construction on the bathroom one floor above me for five of the seven days I was there. Loud grinding, scraping noises for five to six hours a day. I asked for a different room and they said they would try to reaccomodate me. Staff was indifferent.

So most of the staff were really nice there was a huge language barrier from English to Spanish Google translated a lot to help. The hotel was nice and the location was great probably not another visit to this hotel. We had a lot of issues checking in and when we got to our room, our bathroom was flooded and I was not able to get fresh towels. I had to beg the front desk and the staff to get some extra towels so that when the water leak was happening, my parents wouldn’t slip in the bathroom. It took almost 30 minute conversation. Then there was the ordeal of the ice they wouldn’t allow me more than just 2 cups of ice and there are five of us in the room. Then there was the thing of the air-conditioning it took almost 3 hours for them to come and fix the air conditioning in our room. I have two kids and two older people. You can imagine how tense that three hours was in the room. We were also supposed to have complementary breakfast at the hotel but did not get it at all. I even asked about it and showed them a check out. There was $100 deposit which was fine. Didn’t know about that but that’s usual, but then what happened is that they added on some extra taxes and fees that was not a part of the original bill that was annoying to under understand why they were charging additional fees right now right the room itself wasn’t too bad. The room did why didn’t needed to do. It was for two nights wasn’t bad. down the street on the block was an amazing coffee shop Toasta.

Taxes / Fees is usually included at reservation price and they charged me again at the check in. Paid taxes twice.
Hotel has mold and a strong smell overall.
My bathroom door was broken, falling down and couldn’t be closed.

It’s a cheap place, but they could be more careful with these “details”.

Its exactly what you can expect for the price. Photos does it justice and the placed looked exactly as pictured. The room had a really weird smell between sewer and humidity but my nose got used to it pretty fast, nonetheless it was really clean and the bed and pillows were comfy. The room itself was spacious and the views were really nice.

Nice check in. Air conditioning, TV and WiFi work well. View of beach from room. Room very spacious but no dresser for clothes. Wonderful pool on the roof with great view. In elevator PB means ground floor so don’t get lost. Close to restaurants and night life, Great front desk

I arrive late and I went to the room and dropped the bags then I went to front desk and I complained that the room smell like paint and since I was heading out to meet with friends I requested a new room but when i came back the only answer was that there were no rooms available, I couldn't sleep with the strong smell of paint

Next day after checking out, we requested if we can go to the rooftop and they declined since we were already checked out

The first room that was given to us smelled musty. It made me feel sick, my chest was hurting from the awful smell. Then when they changed the room it smelled like the locker room of athletes. The exterior wall on the building had a large hole. Property has potential. Need some upgrading and maintenance.

The problem there, was they didn’t give us the room I booked, I booked standard room and they gave us double room, also in the room didn’t have even napkins, no iron no cups, no shampoo nothing , just two beds that’s it. And the receptionist didn’t try to make us happy. They said if you are not satisfied you can cancel your booking from Expedia , but our booking was non refund

YOU WILL REGRET STAYING HERE! The property was dirty, as were the rooms, which were moldy and caused me respiratory issues. I couldn't sleep at all the first night, left that morning bright and early, demanded a refund and no response was given to me. I will be disputing the charge with my credit card company.

I. have been going twice a month for over 2 years and always checked in around 1pm, even though check in time was 10am. At the end of September the check in time was changed to 3pm! As usual, I was there at 1pm and was told 3pm is the new check in time. I.was visibly upset and was able to get my room at 2pm.
The driveway and steps to the lobby has been under construction for more than 6 weeks. It's noisy and dusty as well as hazardous.

The hotel is in an ideal position for those who do not have car, as there is a lot of traffic. It has its own restaurant with decent service except that two young servers were not as friendly as the girls at the reception. The hotel should provide them with better customer service training.

I love the location of this hotel, it is close to alot of things like, hospital, food places malls supermarkets and a park. I would definitely recommend this place. My only problem is that there is no iron available for use, but other than that it is awesome and the staff is welcoming.

This hotel is not a 5 star hotel, but I feel it is a very good value for the price. Easy check in, rooms are clean, and the restaurant has a limited menu but gives tasty meals. I also feel the Flan is excellent. The hotel has a pool on the roof, that lets you have a pretty view of the city.

Hotel Terranova my favorite

I have stayed at Hotel Terranova several times this year 2023 it is two star hotel that I really like it for many reasons like for example the location is excellent as it is close to everything like banking, businesses, the metro station, night entertainment, restaurants, etc.
The personnel is very friendly, respectful and always helpful.
The restaurant breakfast and meal choices are excellent.
As to the cleanliness there's personnel doing daily cleaning and they are always caring for you.
Best hot shower of Panama, no doubt about it, but the shower pan on all rooms need some renovations.
I have mentioned on previous reviews that the hotel needs better illumination on all rooms.
Air Conditioning is excellent as well.
The hotel offers bicycle rentals and transportation service for a fee to and from the airport.

I have stayed at Hotel Terranova several times this 2023.
Very well located at walking distance from Calle 50 in Bella Vista.
Near restaurants, at walking distance to the El Carmen Metro station, just near everything.
The pool is great and well kept
The restaurant is good.
As to the illumination of the room they need improvement as rooms are too dark
All rooms need a refrigerator.
Air conditioning in every room is amazingly cold.
The shower area in all rooms need better maintenance.
I have used in the past the parking which I find a bit tight but extremely secure.
There are no safe boxes in the rooms but reception offers rental safes in the reception. The safe boxes are bank type, very secure.
The entire personnel is respectful, courteous and attentive.

Above and beyond!

The staff were dilligent, patient, and creative in finding a way to get our $100 cash deposit back to us when my family had a mixup during a split check-out. They contacted my by email and came up with and used WhatsAp to coordinate getting it to my son's family via the hotel's airport shuttle. Great customer service!

Great price for Downtown city area. Everything was close by- food, shopping, tour bus. We felt very safe walking around. Great city skyline view from room and rooftop pool area. Pool was very nice looking and clean. A plus also is that they have luggage storage. We checked out and stored our luggage till 3 pm in order to go sightseeing. No extra charge. Would recommend.

ADEQUATE ROOM, hated the step up to the bathroom, bed fairly comfortable, tv too small for the size of the room. Great walking location for bella vista. Staff freindly, breakfast too expensive for what you get, cannot recommend. Lots of other food options nearby. Parking lot a litle steep incline and very tight. All in , a decent place for the value.

Clean and safe entry and tremendously accommodating and helpful staff. Elevator, room, and restaurant are all very clean and enjoyable. Food is good and also have some great views of the city. Nice large bathroom and shower as well! Definitely the affordable and enjoyable option when going through Panama City!
