The hotel is not modern but has modern upgrades in the rooms and is right on the waterfront. It is the only property for about 4 km so a car is necessary (also needed for the beaches). The restaurant food is high quality. The staff were helpful and eager but they were understaffed while we were there, so seem rushed all the time.

Recommended.

Nice hotel and lovely to be so near the water. Very hard to contact the hotel directly as we needed to do when we were out one night. The ferry to Aviero was a fun thing to do and Aviero itself is much fun. Lots of eating in Spain!
The staff was friendly and tried to be helpful. Nice location.

Unfortunately, our expectations of romantic waterfront giveaway were not met. The property is underwhelming and has no amenities to occupy yourself.
We dined at the hotel's restaurant during our stay and the food was overcooked, over salted and over priced.

Very friendly and helpful staff but the structure is absolutely not 5-star. The details in the room were not up to standard. There is no chair in the room to put anything down. The room was too small. In short, the price is double what it should be.

Excelente estadia em calma e sossego

Ótima estadia, a pousada está muito bem localizada e é todo um ambiente calmo.
O pequeno almoço correcto, mas sem sumo de laranja ao natural, que é um detalhe apreciado num alojamento deste nivel.
Jantar muito bom em sala muito agradável e aconchegante, com vista para o pôr do sol na Ria.
Pessoal muito amável e profissional, é uma das mais valias da pousada.

See flamingoes near Aveiro

In a beautiful remote location on edge of lagoon. Fabulous for birdwatching and nature reserve walks. Car ferry 15 mins to Aveiro. Hotel staff delightful, so very helpful. Immaculately clean, bright and modern.

Decent older hotel in a quiet part of this region. The hotel is a mixture of older architecture and limited modern upgrades. The restaurant at the hotel was overpriced for the quality of food. The water views are pleasant .

The only problem is a access. If you are not driving it is very difficult to get to and there are no walking or bike trails. The place itself is just great.

The hotel is a pet-friendly hotel, whilst we couldn't dine in the restaurant the team was very nice in bringing us our breakfast from the buffet every morning to accommodate to our needs. As it's a small hotel the staff know exactly where everyone is and what their needs are.
The location is in a rather remote area it's important to have your own means of transport, however due to it's location the environment is absolutely serene and calm. The view from the balconies are worth the distance from the city.
There is a small town nearby with restaurants and mini grocery stores.

Great stay. Beautiful and peaceful hotel. Food was lovely and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The swimming pool sits on top of the Ria (salt water river).
The only thing missing is some interior amenities like a spa to help relax even more. Will be coming back.

This is a very nice, comfortable and professionally run hotel in a quiet location. Ideal for walks on the sand dunes to the almost deserted glorious sandy beaches of the Sao Jaconto penisula.

Interesting property in an unusual location

This property is a bit out of the way but the additional travel has the advantage of showing the traveller a bit more of this unusual region. Descriptions should state clearly what is required to get there, depending on where you are travelling from. Car ferries are infrequent in the middle of the day. I had expected a bit more luxury from the hotel but the location is nice. Don't expect high speed internet or good air conditioning. Otherwise, a nice place to relax and enjoy the area.

The location of Pousada Do Ria is exceptional overlooking a large lagoon . We received a very warm greeting by the staff and were given a room with views over the water. Food was good and service was excellent . They treated us very well which made our short stay very enjoyable .

Très bel hôtel. Tout était au top. Gros Bémol .... Les indications sur la route pour accéder à l'entrée de l'hôtel sont inexistantes. Hotel. Com devrait préciser l'existence d'un Ferry pour se rendre rapidement en voiture à Aveiro. Grand gain de temps.

El lugar es muy grato, la zona es perfecta para desconectar.
Recomendaría muchísimo que tengan mosquitero en las habitaciones y un hervidor de agua.
En el menú del restaurante, se agradecería una opción vegetariana o que incluyan al menos pechuga de pollo para comer mas ligero.

Lo desagradable de la estadía es que había una pareja con 3 niños que gritaban y corrían por todos lados. Incluso un sábado a las 7 AM, despertándonos. Hablamos con la gente del hotel pero nadie era capaz de decirles que se moderaran y teníamos los mismos huéspedes que intervenir.

Traumlage direkt an der Lagune von Ria. Morgens konnte man vom Bett aus den Sonnenaufgang beobachten. Das Zimmer war sehr klein, sodass ma keinen Platz für die Koffer hatte. Das Frühstücksbüffet war sehr gut, beim Frühstück konnte man auch draußen sitzen.

Un enchantement dépaysant

Un enchantement dans un cadre charmant et dépaysant, au bord de la Ria d'Aveiro d'une côté, et non loin de l'océan Atlantique de l'autre côté.
L'hôtel étant situé dans une zone protégée à proximité d'une réserve naturelle protégée, de nombreux oiseaux sont visibles.
L'accueil, la chambre, les.services, le personnel, et le petit déjeuner sont au top.
Un bémol, les portes des chambres qui claquent parfois car des visiteurs ne rendent pas compte que cela résonne ou de comportent simplement comme chez eux sans respect des autres : des adolescents notamment. Une fois remonté au personnel, le claquement des portes s'est calmé.
Autrement, les autres visiteurs sont agréables et largement respectueux des autres.
Nous y reviendrons lorsque nous reviendrons dans la région.
Merci à tout le personnel pour sa disponibilité et sa gentillesse à notre égard. Cela nous fait sentir que nous sommes les bienvenus chez eux.

Nous avons adoré

Personnel au petit soin, soucieux de confort des clients. Hôtel situé dans la lagune, avec de très belles vues du bar ou de la salle de restaurant. Chambre très propre avec eau minérale à disposition. Un plateau de courtoisie serait un vrai plus.
