The room was very old, smelly. Staff was not very friendly. Room OK, door squeak, bathroom bad need update. Could hear everything from upstairs and neighbouring room. Did not like anything about the hotel.

I would like to say that Tiago was a big help getting us a new room as our AC did not work properly and we had a poor first night sleep. With the new room we slept much better for the following two nights. Thanks Tiago! The rest of the stay was pleasant and the breakfast staff were also fantastic.

The room was comfortable enough, and convenient for the station, a ten minute walk to the canals and town centre. Breakfast was not worth the 12€ extra, fruit salad out of a can and fruit juice poor quality. Much better value at brunch places in town. Bring a kettle if you want in-room coffee or tea, although finding somewhere to plug it might be awkward. The rooster mentioned in other reviews seems to have ended up on someone’s dinner table, no sign of it while we were there. But overall happy with the place.

Perfect stay at Vera Hotel!

Loved my stay at this centrally located hotel!
We were walkable distance from all points of interest, including the canals. Knowlegable front desk staff helped with the purchase of tickets for the gondola ride and salt mine visit. The room was bright, cozy with a small fridge and roomy closet. The outdoor patio was a lovely surprise and made for a perfect place for a glass of port after a day of sight-seeing. Wonderful buffet style breakfast included making this an exceptional choice when visiting Aveiro.

Very close to the railway station and when we arrived from Porto at 1pm the room was ready. The staff are all lovely. Breakfast is great value and we ended up having it both mornings (we didn’t need to eat again until the evening!)
Have to give a shoutout to the fantastic self-service 7 days a week launderette immediately across the road:€5 for wash and tumble dry including the washing powder and fabric conditioner which are included as standard!

April 17, 2023 travel. We followed google maps here and realized how narrow the streets (compared to rural Idaho) were and kinda congested. I walked in to find a pleasant/joyful receptionist. She checked us (family of 3) with perfect instructions. The garage was small but adequate for our hatchback. It appeared to have @ 7 stalls, you may want to call. Our room had 2 regular size twins together (size of a king bed), and 1 small twin bed for our daughter. We had a small 20\" tv with more english speaking shows than in Lisbon. The bathroom was large and clean. Our refrigerator was on but not cold (no switches) so we asked for an ice bucket to store our 4 small water bottles and placed in the frig. We purchased 3 gondola boat ride for $11 ea. ($13 at the canal docks). We walked 15-20 minutes to the \"Red\" umbrella table. When we walked through the alley from the hotel, we were surprised when we came out to the main street. All the way down to the canal was store fronts and places to eat. Our overall experience was \"Great,\" comfortable and quiet.

We thought the hotel was comfortable and the staff very helpful. It was quiet until a rooster in a neighboring property started at 4:30 AM. Then again at 7:30 and it was impossible to sleep. The hotel can't do much about this - take your pick - quiet courtyard until the rooster crows or noisier street side but without rooster! The room had everything you need and the walk to downtown was 15 minutes away.

We spent one night at the Venezia hotel in Aveiro and had a nice time. The hotel is a good walk from the center of town but we enjoy walking so it was fine. The breakfast was 9 euros a person which was fine and we ate outside on the terrace. They have great covid restrictions in place as well you have to make reservations for breakfast.

The facility was excellent -- generous, well-maintained spaces and fittings and friendly, responsive personnel. The location is close to rail and bus stations so convenient for arrivals there. Car parking is easy and reasonable (5 euros) but by foot to the center takes10-15 minutes.

Stay was great, 15 minute walk to the city Center, breakfast buffet (had to pay €5 extra per person but I think it was well worth it) was solid, staff was very friendly and always happy to help with directions or letting you know of where to go in the city. Please note if your room is located at the rear, the backyard neighbours have a beautiful garden with chickens and a territorial rooster who’ll make sure you know he’s up in the early morning.
