Perfect weekend gateway escape

Little things that could make the stay better.
One the request for a hard bed- did not happen. The wife and the mother in law could not sleep as they have bad backs

Great property. Accessibility is an issue

Fortune Park is located in Lake Land Country Club premises. The Club, the residential area behind the Club, the lakes are all wonderful places. The property is a bit old but fairly well maintained. Service is good and staff is very friendly.
However, none of the Calcutta sights are nearby. Getting an OLA or Uber takes lot of time and gets worse on Sundays. Nearest metro station is 11km away (Rabindra Sadan). Returning at night from City to the hotel also was a big challenge.

Nice Hotel, but too far from the city

The hotel was good in service and luxury, but its location is a disadvantage for the people who came to visit kolkatta, as its around 15 kms from the main city and at night time you also face getting taxi's from Kolkatta to go there and similar problem you face in the morning time for the hotel side.

Good property but not maintained well

This is a nicely placed property, it looks good from the hotel website photographs but once you go there you realize that it's not maintained well at all. We visited the hotel in mid summer but the swimming pool water is green in color although they claim it's well maintained and usable. Same with other part of the property. Breakfast spread good but i found most of the stuff were not so tasty

Comfortable Stay

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights with my family. I had booked this hotel through expedia.com where it was mentioned that a standard room can accommodate 2 adults & 2 children comfortably. To confirm the same, I called up the hotel reception and they gave thr same assurance. I booked the standard room as per their assurance.
Everything was good about the hotel except the location and the bed size. Standard room is not meant for 4 people. Twin beds seem like single beds. And this hotel is quite far from thr main city and lack of proper conveyance.
Breakfast buffet was awesome and hotel staffs are well groomed.

Safe & quiet "bubble" 45 min. from Kolkata Airport

I needed a safe and quiet "bubble" for overnight having landed in Kolkata and on my way to IIT Kharagpur. Fortune Hotel was perfect for this. A taxi picked me up at the airport -- it is a 45 minute drive. Next day he returned to take me the rest of the way (2+ hours). You do not escape all of the Kolkata pollution, but it is a bit better -- and inside it was fine. The surrounding area outside the bubble is slums, but you are very "far" away -- no traffic, no noise at all. Mosquitoes outside at dusk are very bad, but daytime and inside were fine. I had dinner in the hotel restaurant and it was very good. I highly recommend the Fortune hotel for this purpose.

Very good service with a smile. Local public transport is not easily available. Peaceful surroundings. Excellent stay for those who want to stay away from hustle bustle of a busy place. Prefer room towards swimming pool.

Stay here only if you an early riser

First of all we gave our preference for a double bed but got two single beds. I understand that preferences may not be entertained all the time but still it is a bit surprising that such a big hotel could not manage it well. The front desk lady who dealt with us did not seem to be too happy about guests visiting the hotel. I understand not everyone can have a happy face all the time but at least you should have someone with welcoming mood in the front desk. We had a plan to wake up late the next morning but at 5 AM we had to wake up with loud music. On calling the front desk they informed there is a poolside party and they cannot do anything about it...wow....we were not told that you need to be a early riser to stay in this hotel...breakfast was good and the staff at the dining hall was extremely helpful. After checking out we waited for the valet to bring our car for 15 mins. Then the security guard apologized saying there is nobody available since it is a festive day....ru serious? So we were also not told that you will get valet service while checking in but during check out u have to be on your own.

Come on Fortune Spend some money on this Hotel!

This could be a wonderful hotel, but it needs money spent within the rooms and especially on the building itself which is in some decay. The staff were very pleasant and tried very hard especially the guys in check-in, but some basic training within all the staff especially the bar staff would go a long way. After a long day, being told that the bar had no beer or gin & tonic was almost the last straw - lucky that the duty manager came to the rescue with a couple of beers from his secret stash.

This is a good hotel that offers all amenities at reasonable prices. It is close to the major transport and communication centres but also not affected by it as the property is well developed to provide some calm from routine humdrum.

Not great under the hood

I was hoping that the hotel would be atleast reasonable in terms of its amenities, bath rooms. But was not ok with it. Pillows were stinking, bathroom fittings were rust. Even though it looks better outside, but from inside, its not that great. Even the dental kit was not provided.

Serene & Comfortable

It was very nice . The ambiance was good. Only disadvantage for business traveler is that it is approximately 28 Kilometers away from the main city and considering Kolkata traffic, it takes approximately 1 hour to reach. The property and its staff are excellent.

Fortune Panchwati - weekend stay

The man cleaning the pool was jumping in the pool daily with all his clothes on to clean the pool. I am not sure if this is the protocol followed in such star hotels. Nevertheless, this made me NOT take a dip in the pool during our stay.

The room AC could have worked better.

Food is good. The breakfast is excellent. Some Alacarte dishes could have tasted better with more quantity.

A quiet resting place with large pool. Restaurant serves tasty home style food & the staff were helpful.

アメニティが細部まで行き届いていない。カウンターに電話しても対応してくれない。お湯が出ない。辺境のため、市街地に出るのに時間がかかる。Wifiへの一回の接続時間が6時間に限られており、しかも接続がかなり悪い。
