We had a wonderful stay at Sinclairs Country Retreat. The private rooms are very comfortable, and we were lucky to have a lovely terrace overlooking the garden, which made our experience even more enjoyable.
The owners were kind and friendly. Breakfast was very good overall; in my opinion, it could be improved with a bit more fresh fruit and some savory options (such as eggs and ham).
Overall, the price-quality ratio is excellent, and we would definitely recommend staying here.

The property was lovely and well maintained, with a gorgeous view down the valley to a bay of Conjola Lake. Though we were only there for a night, arriving in the evening and leaving around 9am the next day, my wife and I were very happy with the accommodation.
It was just off the Princes Hwy in the hills north of Ulladulla, yet it was very quiet... except may the Kookaburra that woke us the next morning perched on the railing outside our door. It was a lovely encounter with the wildlife.
Check in and out was contactless and very straight forward. The continental breakfast was simple and delicious, though we did have a little trouble with the coffee machine, a very helpful young man overseeing the property was quickly there to help us out.
I would love to come back and stay here longer, both to look around area and make use of the amenities on site. All in all a top notch place.

Good recommendation for dinner at Mollymook.
Not worth to spend $400 to stay in a budget room(downstairs room are lower class room-from the owner)They are good people with very critical attitude with our request.Check-in is complicated because of system failure. With the keys, we can’t open the door, waited for help and the owner used another key to open the door and told me because if I did not pushed hard enough.LOL Wrong tv remote controller was left on the table, and they told me because I did not use the matched one (which was not existing in my room before).There was half little tub shower gel left instead of a Shampoo.After I called them 2X times, (1x was connected to voicemail and 15mins late called again since no one repl)the owner came and asked: happy now? We are very busy, you can’t keep calling us.I felt self-doubt if I did anything wrong. It was the first day of new year, and I was being educated to plan my trip in advance and should not have a last minute trip.The owner talked to my kids in a nice way but I was very disappointed to be told to control the kids be quiet and care of others even my kids did not do make any noise at the very first beginning. The tile floor is very slippery if wet, room is dark even lighting. Turn on air-conditioning is very necessary for vandalism. When showering, the old hot water system was not setting properly as it was too hot for my kids and they got burned a bit. Leakings from the big pipe of the shower annoying. 㻉適䶎虓絯

This is what I expected when we spent more than planned on a stay I thought would be well worth it from somewhere described as a \"retreat\" with 25 years of hospitality experience
Warm welcome from some local area Sinclair's
Peaceful enjoyment of our room and view
Lovely warm bar setting with a good host and some history of Sinclair's in the area
a good continental breakfast in a warm and welcoming setting
to take pictures by your sign and send them back to Scotland after a great visit
some directions to the falls
This is what we received.
a request for a bond of before checking in (when no additional services are available)
welcomed by a machine and signs waring of additional charges
an out of date room guide that still says since Covid you are no longer doing breakfast instead of advising breakfast is only 0730 till 9??
welcomed in the room by more notices of additional charges - your wording leaves a huge amount to fix - condescending and extreme without need
no dish cloth or tea towel to wash and dry kitchenware despite threats of $75 charge (ridiculous) - used a face towel instead
no biscuits - 4 tea bags
no open bar - went at 4:30 and around 6pm (check your CCTV if needs be)
pool that can accommodate little more than 1 couple at a time
people walking past our room frequently so we had to close our louvres (and view)
cheapest soaps and shampoos possible
cheapest towels I have come across in a long time
very cheap looking part curled up rug
worst breakfast ever in 30 year

DO NOT STAY HERE> Read the reviews as it is a common problem that the owners are very rude, abrupt, rigid and hostile.

Never encountered such rudeness in all my travels. Place was empty and they couldn't accommodate a child that we were happy to pay for.

Kicked us off the property with no alternate accommodation arranged. Unbelievable

I rang to ask for extra towel and it never came, instead they took one towel and didn't replace it with a new one.

Great location as close to many different beaches and holiday spots to explore.
The motel is fairly isolated, but the owners are super friendly and helpful.
The rooms and bathrooms are really modern and comfortable as they also include a kitchenette (but nowhere to sit).

No hosts on arrival. Had to wander around to find reception and not good communication from the hosts. Needs a sign pointing to reception.
The room was very clean but nowhere to sit to eat except the bed. The bed was cery comfortable though. Room needs a suitcase cradle. We had to keep the suitcase on the floor so constantly bending.
Set in a beautiful location close to some wonderful national park and beaches.
We wanted to sit in the garden with a glass of wine to enjoy the afternoon sun but there was never anyine around in the bar.
But we would stay again, good for a night or two. I would recommend it.

Quiet getaway.

Pleasantly surprised. Motel owners (Ulla and Lindsay) were very helpful and accommodating. Light breakfast was all we needed to get us going in the morning. Had views to Lake Conjola. Quiet spot, which suited my wife and me ( late 60's). Short trips by car to nearby town of Milton, with Ulladulla and Nowra farther south and north. Would be happy stay there again.

Quiet little place to stay

The whole experience was remarkable. The hosts Ulla and Lindsay were very friendly and accommodating. The room was in immaculate condition. Wish we could have stayed longer. Will definitely recommend to our family and friends. Already planning our next trip back.

Had a pleasant stay in spite of sultry weather. Nice to be away from the crowds in the towns - being Australia Day Weekend, Huskisson etc were all horrible and packed (not to mention expensive). So it was very please to be somewhere quiet and rural.

Absolute serenity.

A magnificent resort in a magnificent location, surrounded by bush land and with spectacular views of Lake Conjola, this hotel is absolute serenity. Only downside was bugs (moths etc.), perhaps a few bug zappers would help?
Staff were beyond amazing, more than happy to cater to any needs. Peaceful and beautiful. Overall a magnificent resort.

The first night we were there, there wasn't a remote control for the air conditioner and it was very hot. Even though it has a kitchenette, there are not chairs or table to sit and enjoy the meal. But the views are very beautiful.

Stayed for two nights while diving in Jervis Bay in an upstairs room facing Lake Conjola.
Owner was lovely and talked us through local gems to visit.
The private room felt secluded and comfortable.
We would happily visit again.

Poor Facilities, Overpricing and Unfriendly Staff

FACILITIES - (1) It was Mens Final of the Australian Open and the signal on the TV was VERY VERY WEAK.... Very disappointing
(2) With no TV working, we tried to be preoccupied with Internet, but there was NO SIGNAL.... Very frustrating

PRICING - $145 a night on OFF PEAK and WEEKNIGHTS (I paid $450 for 3 nights) is overpriced,, especially with the conditions as above.

STAFF - Unfriendly. Arrogant

I wished I could get a refund.
