Staff good, property archaic, rooms in poor condition. Check in process too long and manual. Inspite of taking deposit we were asked to make payments for in room dining and laundry services. Mixed experience of food - dinner was good but late afternoon lunch was not pleasant experience.

I stayed at IRA by Orchid for 7 days, and unfortunately, the experience was underwhelming. The property is in desperate need of TLC. We faced issues with room cleanliness and extremely low water pressure in the sink. While the staff did eventually move us to a different room after 3 days of complaining, no compensation or apology for the initial discomfort was offered.
Additionally, the breakfast was very repetitive; in a week-long stay, there was zero change to the menu. The biggest disappointment, however, was the staff’s inability to listen to guest complaints—they seem to acknowledge the issue but don't take proactive steps to fix it. For the price and the brand name, I expected much better service and maintenance.

For a hotel close to airport I expected more continental variety for breakfast. The rooms needs an overhaul no plug sockets by bed for instance and looked tired for the price. The swimming pool is in the restaurant so being watched by diners. Staff though were lovely and eager to please.

The rooms are very outdated. No ventilation in bathrooms. When you go to have a shower, the entire bathroom ceiling and the outside ceiling around the bathroom is wet ands damp. There were flies coming out of the drain in the bathroom and at one point there were worms coming out of the bathroom sink. We got the room changed but the a/c in the second room was not cooing the room at all. For a hotel that boast themselves as a 4 star hotel don't have basic amenities like fridge and safe. Even the tv is so old that it does not even have a power off button!! I would not even dream to stay at this hotel not just in mumbai but also other locations if they have one! Too bad I don't have the option to post pics on this site. But I'm surely going to post it on Google.

The staff here are really nice. Unfortunately that's the only positive thing about this place! The hotel is under renovation. There is no bar! There is no Swimming pool. The whole place looks like something from the 1980's.
My room was to put it bluntly horrible. Run down and tired looking. See the photos. They are extremely dated and items like cupboard doors and drawers are sticky and hard to open. On top of that the safe didn't work either! That wasn't the worst thing though. By far the worst thing was the humidity in the room. Air conditioning ON or off made no difference what so ever. Off actually slightly improved the situation. On or off you felt \"wet and sticky\". Your clothes feel damp, the bedding feels damp. This is obviously a hotel wide thing as dehumidifiers are in the corridors! It's unpleasant to say the least. An update on this. I've come home and my wife whilst putting my washing in the machine commented on how much my clothes smelt of damp!!
On one occasion the room door didn't lock. The staff were \"it's OK, we fix\" but even so, I had to go to work and leave my room unlocked!

The property is definitely not worth the 4 star class of hotels ...it needs major renovayion they need to work on major reapirs of the hotel to make it look new clean and crsip and pleaaurable for the guests ! the staff is very friendly and cooperative and do deserve a 10 star 🌟

Check in experience was pathetic. Arrived at the hotel past midnight and they claimed to not have received the booking from hotels.com and asked me to pay again. We finally agreed that they would block the amount on my credit card until they received confirmation from hotels.com.

Claim to have a swimming pool but it is closed as the pool is in the dinning area. The staff are liars and skimmers. The room provided was not ready on time. Nobody was bothered. Lobby had drug deals going on when we had to wait as our room was not ready at 2.00 pm, the allocated time.
We were offered complimentary pick up and drop off to the airport, so I booked it with a person named Shivani. When the car did not turn up I rang the hotel and a chap called Vijay said we are not eligible and he will organise it for 1500 rupees. In the end I took the cab for less then 300 rupees. Overall avoid this place.

I couldn’t enjoy my stay as I was charged a 7000 rupees “extra adult fee” which both hotels.com and the hotel itself couldn’t understand why I was charged and flamed each other while never refunding the cost. I was robbed. From day one of my stay until today I am still waiting for a response from the hotels.com “specialised team” which will be too late. I have used hotels.com before and this is the first time something like this has ever happened to me on any hotel reservation website so I recommend booking with the hotel directly or using booking.com or literally any other site except for hotels.com. Holiday ruined.

Room had a certain smell. Service was terrible. The gym didn't have any towels to wipe the equipments and there was no hand sanitizer in sight. When asked for towel, it took forever, I had to go down to the reception to get the towel.
I had paid for 2 breakfasts since my guest was meeting me at the hotel the next morning but I was told since the guest didn't check in with me last night I would have to pay the full charge for the second breakfast.
Overall the experience was unsatisfactory.

I am a regular guest at VITS, however my stay this time was horrible. First of all I was charged Rs. 600 more than the rate confirmed thru yourselves. Secondly 3 noghts charges were collected in advance while checking in and on second day I was requested to vacate the room saying booking was for only two nights. Luckily I had the print out of your confirmation and seeing the same they back tracked and even returned the Rs. 600 over charged. This is not the way to treat the frequent visitors to the hotel I will never stay at VITS in future.

Very close to international airport... I would give a Thumps down for the Reception staff for Check In / Out.. The guy (don't remember his name) at the desk of the so called 4 star hotel gave a stare without even having the antiquet to greet ?? Probably i believe he would have been placed there to fill in the Stop Gap vacancy...Further my colleague checked in at 8am & directly came to the b/fast hall, i had booked a suite room & clearly stated 2 guests in booking made but the staff at the restaurant desk comes & tells me that the second person would be chargeable since they don't have his name on their list ??? If they have any such issues first they need to check with their check in staff & then revert to us.. This was my second experience with this same hotel..I think its high time the management goes for hotel renovations and even replace their rude staff with bettet ones...

Very good hotel in an easy area for grabbing food, water and essentials. 15 minutes from the airport in Mumbai traffic. Rooms are spacious - with a seating area and the bed was perfect - huuuuge. For those of you that train - it has an outstanding hotel gym - much better than you would generally be used to at a hotel. Obviously not everything but a damn site better than you find at most hotels. Service was good, although not a fan of the restaurant, only form a service perspective. I had an issue with the fact I wasnt allowed to order a coffee and take it up to my room - I had to order room service with the room service pricing - this is a minor issue compared with the overall good quality of this hotel.

This hotel surprisingly does not allow food to be bought to the room from outside. Hence it becomes hard when travelling with infants and older people who do not like the hotel restaurant. This information is missing from expedia. So beware.

The hotel lobby and initial common areas are majestic, beautiful nice and clean. However, passed the first floor there's a terrible smell of cigarettes smoke combined with damp and air freshener or diffuser. The smell permeates the entire building including the rooms.
The rooms are very basic at best, there were two power points in the room and one in the bathroom. The bed was hard and unforgiving and the pillows had the same damp smell. The bathroom was very unclean with years of grime clearly visible, we wore our thongs into the shower to be safe. The grime could be cleaned - it just hadn't been!
The front desk staff were helpful and friendly and very responsive. The restaurant staff were polite but intense and overbearing, telling us where to place things on our table and what utensils we could/ not use.
The pool is adequate but awkward to use given it is in the main common area of a restaurant, as a western woman I certainly didn't feel comfortable using it during our stay, despite it being warm weather and having travelled a great distance to get to Mumbai.
The fitness centre/ gym is fantastic and more than adequate. It's equipped with good range of weights incl an olympic bar, has many cable machines and treadmills and binges, cross trainers etc.
Overall our stay was average, the lobby is really all that is 4 star about this property.
