The Property is in a very nice location , near the beach ,Bus stop is out side the Hotel, very convinient . The Staff of the Hotel very very helpful ,they are always around to help the resident. At the Restaurent the Staff there as well very professional and helpful ,especially the waiter call ISLAAM he is very good ,very articulated in his job,I would recommend this Hotel to Family and Freinds .I will book this Hotel again .Good Service.Bravo

Lovely comfortable stay

Really nice hotel, staff are friendly and helpful, rooms are large and clean, view from the room is incredible. Breakfast is excellent and they offer vouchers to West Bay Beach, which is a couple of mins away. I was able to check in at 1am and I liked that check out is at noon.

Thé Seaview room was definitely wonderful, and very peaceful. The hotel has good bones and is in the midst of remodeling. The pool will offer a splendid view.
The staff was so very friendly and the buffet was excellent. I visited during Ramadan, so the city was a bit quieter than usual, I was told. I hired a guide for a city tour one day and then to see the Villagio mall and the desert on another day.
The city is looking forward to hosting the World Cup 2022.

I like the sea view and the staff by the name of Tim. She makes sure that she explained to me clearly about the facilities and timings of the hotel, she even asked me about my stay when I checked out. She's very welcoming. Thumps up Tim👍. The room was spacious and nice, except for the lights in the bathroom, it's too dark. The flush in WC is very hard to press.
The only thing worst that happens is when you want to take shower and there is no COLD water. You have to use hot water in the hair and body while taking shower.
and the Engineering told me that this is a long-time problem it never fixed, How can you use hot water in your hair while taking shower? Make sure when you booked this hotel to check first if they have cold water already, otherwise, you will end up using Hot water while taking a shower

Long layover hotel was more than adequate.

First day water leakage from roof was noticed and reported. Technical remedy was not sufficient and had to change my room.

Great location in the CBD area of Doha. Easy and quick access to The Pearl (the view of it from my hotel window was amazing). Staff were very nice, able to help in every way. Buffet breakfast was good. 10 minute walk to the local shopping centre.

Went specifically for exhibition @ DECC
Good location considering the exhibition centre is 10-15 min walk (not feasible in summers). Limited taxi service but Uber is convenient. Limited restaurant options in immediate vicinity but again City centre Mall is beside DECC with numerous options. Overall expensive area.

Clean hotel good location , big rooms, bath, near corniche, easy availability of taxis, good food . As a Muslim , prayer room in hotel and also qibla direction Quran and prayer mat.
Only down side, mattress were soft for my requirement . I did request but they could not provide. Hotels must hv comfortable hard mattress.

This hotel is at the far end of the Corniche but easy to locate. Doha is developing so currently a number of constructions taking place near the hotel. There is a mall about 10 minutes walk which has plenty of eating places and supermarket.
Hotel itself is good. Staff are very pleasant and polite. Room has the usual amenities plus free water and a fridge. Breakfast was good and a number of options made available.
I stayed at this hotel for work and it was easy to commute. Overall, a nice stay and would look forward to staying here again.

Location is very good, Room and bed was comfortable, breakfast choices are good, staff is not friendly neither they are willing to help for anything.
Cleaning staff need some training as they never tried to change the bed sheets duvet and pillow covers nor they ever replaced towels even they can see towels are dirty you have to phone every time to get clean towels.
Amenities in the room are ok but you have to ask for everything whatever you need.

Lovely hotel I was upgraded to a suite with a separate living and dressing area. On arrival I received a tray of whole fruits and a tray of Arabian biscuits and cakes. Was made to feel really welcome and special definitely staying there again and telling everyone I know to book the Retaj!

Great location when in Doha

Located near to the Corniche, the hotel is set in an ideal place to explore Doha.
The staff were very pleasant and always there to help and answer any questions.
The room on the 18th floor was large with a king sized bed, a desk, wardrobe and a couple of chairs along with a well equipped bathroom.
When we arrived the safe wasn't working but a quick call to reception resolved that.
Although the room was clean for the most part, there was a bit of dust around the edges of the laminate flooring and the wall paper was looking a bit tired.
Downstairs on the mezzanine level, there is a well equipped gym which I used and was very happy with.
We didn't eat at the hotel so I can't comment on that aspect, although the dining room did look very nice.
Parking was okay, however, I was unable to use the underground car park as it was always full. I generally used the small car park in front of reception or, when that was full, the area of waste land adjacent to the hotel.
Overall I was happy with our stay.

My stay was perfect. I liked the hotel, room's view, and the neighborhood. The service also was wonderful for a 4 star hotel.
The only thing which was not nice is that a bed was kept fold in the 13th floor beside the elevator. It was not blocking the way or anything, but it was not looking nice. Otherwise everything was perfect, so I'll rate it as 5 stars

Planning on showering? Then avoid this hotel.

Bathroom tub drain sucks and mildew in the tub. Water doesn't drain...and my shower is always ankle deep before I'm done. Unfortunately was locked into a 7 day package, even though it was a refundable stay. It's okay, if you don't need to shower.

This is my second stay at this hotel. I decided to stay here looking at the improved reviews posted recently. However nothing seems to have improved since my last visit. The only positive was the good bed linens. The room carpets are dirty. The in room dining is a disaster and not many options either. The hotel certainly isn't a 4 star as advertised.

Close to main business area in Doha

This hotel is fine but nowhere near the standard it is portrayed as. Maybe a 3 star by any normal measurement. Rooms are fine but the bathroom is only average. Water pressure and temperature control are poor. They claim several restaurants but there is, in fact only one, serving a buffet. It is dingy with food to match. Very much overpriced.
There is wifi available in the lobby which means it is permanently packed. It is pretty slow but just about adequate. In the rooms they charge $16 per day for internet access which is a joke.
Location is close to the CBD but, as usual Doha is a mess. If you want to walk anywhere you take your life in your hands. In this new part of town the pavements are collapsing, building sites encroach into the road meaning that is where you have to walk and signs block many of the pavements.
Public transport is joke in Doha. The hotel says that if you need a taxi you must give 8 hours notice! Now this is mainly to get you to use their expensive hotel cars but taxi availability is poor.
Doha is built for wealthy locals driving Landcruisers. They give no consideration to anyone else whether they are expat workers or visiting business people.

Great Choice

This was my first trip to Qatar and I am very pleased I chose this hotel. The service, decor and overall standard were excellent. The breakfast selection was vast and the complementary cold drink upon arrival was a really nice touch! (Non Muslim guests should note that there is no bar - although there are in a neighboring hotels just two minutes away).The tiny pool is lovely but it is for a plunge not a swim. I feel Wifi should be free in all rooms these days and not just in the foyer. Apart from that, I am happy to have found this lovely hotel in Doha for future short breaks. I will recommend it. Thank you all.
