Absolutely amazing. We arrived very early in the morning and not only did they have a room available we were upgraded to the most fantastic view of across the bay.

The staff and the service they provide is like nothing we have received before. Room service was fantastic , the pool and beach bar service made you feel like a VIP , the valets were more than happy to organise taxi’s , everyone we came across made you feel so welcome.

Fabulous room and every area of the Hotel had the same exacting standards.

Food was exquisite whether it was the pool restaurant, beach service, the Indian or Irish Bar.

No shortage of sun loungers at any time of the day either at the pool or the beach that benefitted from a very welcome breeze.

An architecturally punctuation on a promontory with its own water sports, pool & beach with drink services. Friendly staff & walkable to the nearby mall (although get directions and perhaps approach from an anticlockwise direction via the road junction rather than through the adjacent park). Nice rooms with a separate seating area for viewing tv. Good air conditioning.

My family and I had an absolutely fantastic weeks stay at the Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel.
We were welcome with smiling faces everywhere, everyday and the hospitality was great.
A special thank-you to the following restaurant staff: Lijo, Poojah, Ashmita, Isla.
Also, thanks to Vikash (room housekeeping) and Gitesh (Bell Boy) for the kindness and assistance throughout the week.

Since, we been back to the UK, I have already recommended this excellent hotel to our family members.

Outstanding hotel in a central location. Staff were amazing and the outdoor area is massive with the private beach. The pool was heated to 35c which was a bit extreme but to be honest very nice in December, and with a four year old. The jacuzzi must have been 45c, it was hot! The hotel is showing its age a bit (I think it's 50 years old) but is very well maintained and spotlessly clean. The city centre mall is a 15 min walk away (probably a challenging walk in summer but easy in winter).

The only negative in my opinion is the lack of sustainability initiatives. Towels were changed whether we wanted them changed or not. All toiletries are disposable miniatures. Bottled drinking water is abundant (they even hand out mini eskies by the pool with ice and bottled water in!) which is great but they must go through hundreds of bottles a day. It would be great if they could try harder in this area.

Truly magnificent hotel on a grand scale. Facilities are exceptionally good. The only drawbacks are the beach and pool close surprisingly early and security is so tight it’s a little intimidating. The pool staff provide outstanding service while working outdoors in the heat and the ice filled esky containing chilled water bottles was surprising and gratefully received. The buffet was an absolute delight. This hotel is truly iconic and the highlight of my trip to Doha.

The hotel is beautiful, clean and spacious. The bedroom was very spacious, we were given an upgrade to sea view on check in. All staff were very welcoming and attentive and went out of their way to greet us. The pool staff went out of their way every morning to greet USA’s soon as we arrived at the au beds. We stayed half board, breakfast and evening meal. There was an ample choice for both and they cater for all tastes. Soup and puddings were always very good. The only negative comment that I would make was that the evening meal was mainly lukewarm rather than hot. If there was a chef on duty serving pasta, pizza etc we tended to eat that as it was prepared on demand and was therefore hot. We are maybe being picky as we like our food hot and know it can be hard to keep buffet food warm, especially when other guests leave the lids covering the food up rather than closing them. On the whole a lovely relaxing holiday in a very peaceful and quiet hotel.

amazing hotel. near the airport so convenient. upon early morning arrival rooms were ready no fuss. great sea view. beach was fab with clear seas and amazing beach cafe foodservice. staff at the beach amazing and helpful to make sunloungers and provide food and snacks especially by ismail and mohammad. surrounded by beautiful city lights at night. the sea was nice and the relaxing to swim in. pools sauna and jacuzzi was very good. the room was as clean ok daily basis and rasa was amazing at his job. even made us welcoming towel owl on the bed. the breakfast was very good with large selection of foods. kaka was very helpful with booking taxis.
overall amazing hotel , amazing staff, amazing facilities. and best of all amazing country. thank you qatar and sheraton for a memorable holiday. 🇶🇦

This is one of the most beautiful hotels I've ever had the chance to stay in. Although established in 1979, everything in and around it seems brand new. Boasting a fantastic atrium, the hotel in itself is a true landmark of the city and indeed of the country. Besides being close to everything, it also has everything you need in itself - fabulous beach and pool, excellent restaurants, gym and sports fields, and all sorts of other services. For these, it serves as a destination for locals as well as hotel guests. The hotel is quiet, elegant and luxurious, the rooms and the views are breathtaking and the staff is the epitome of client service - I really want to mention Maegan from Reception who is by far one the best hotel staff I have ever met and also Melissa. They insured my check in and four-night stay went smoothly and they also let me check out at 5pm instead of 12, as my plane would take off late in the evening - thanks guys! I've taken full board with breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet and it was some of the best food I've ever had. If you're ever in Doha, this is the place to go to - I loved it!

Where do I start?

The stay was amazing. The hotel was fantastic.

We were staying for an anniversary and they went above and beyond to make our stay extremely enjoyable.

They decorated the bed before check in with a lovely display of rose petals and swan towels, along with a welcome home message. Further to that they even provided us with a special anniversary cake which was a complete surprise.

Shortly after checking in and going to the room we even received a welcome phone call from the receptionist Maegan to check in on us after viewing the room. This was a great touch and made us feel welcomed.

The breakfast buffet was sublime. There were so many things to choose from, with many different styles and types of food. The breakfast staff were extremely friendly and constantly looking to provide any assistance, always willing to spend a little time getting to know you and make you comfortable. Can't fault the staff in the slightest.

The hotel grounds were amazing. There was so much to do that we felt we didn't even get to experience all of it as our stay was so short.

Although there were many people it never felt crowded. The pools and beach were all very clean. The pool staff were very friendly and always willing to lend a hand by fetching towels, or providing you with cold water.

The food at the pool cafe was extremely good and it felt like it was very much worth the money.

I would definitely stay here again without a doubt.

The Hotel is well located, with a gorgeous view, but the rooms are dated and the condition is not what I was expecting. The furniture was well worn and evident that it has not been refreshed in some time. The fixtures need updating, and in some cases replaced, my shower head was detached from the wall and wires were exposed in the bathroom ceiling.

Most of the staff were friendly and welcoming, but a large portion were not, either completely aloof or ignoring. When I checked out, despite 4 porters outside, not a single one helped with my suitcase into the car. Most of the time as I entered the hotel (passing numerous staff both outside and inside), I was rarely greeted or welcomed. Security (you have to scan your bags and pass a metal detector) just said \"bags\" while pointing to the x-ray machine. Not the best first impression.

Finally, the hotel sent petty and conflicting emails just before arrival and just before check-out. Four days before my arrival, the Hotel asked for my flight details and if I needed assistance with transportation. I assumed this meant that they would prioritize the rooms of those with earlier arrivals. I was wrong. The day before my arrival, I received another email stating that check-in was at 15.00 and if I wanted the room earlier, I should pay for the night before. I arrived at 13.30 and the room was not ready. Thankfully at 14.15 it was. The day before check out, I received another email stating I would be charged for late check outs.

The front desk at the Sheraton check-in desk made a great display of giving us a \"great room\", not mentioning a word about the pounding bass that would be vibrating the full balcony windows after we returned from the terrace after watching the match ending at about 11:30 pm

We came back to our room just before midnight, not terribly worried about the noise level, as we surmised that the music would go off at midnight, typically of entertainment venues situated on the grounds of a hotel.

But then we saw the note in the room, stating \"you will be disturbed\" until 3 am!

The nature of hospitality, as we all know, is to \"take care of our guests\"; \"be memorable hosts\"; and take pride in those essential cornerstones of our profession.

While we were accommodated with a room change after making a bit of a fuss at the front desk, it was a very unpleasant and stressful way to wind up our stay in Qatar. And certainly, for the price of $1400 for a room, a peaceful atmosphere should be guaranteed.

May we suggest that you consider the comfort and well being of EVERY guest, during the FIFA World Cup, and WHENEVER they visit. Guests are the CORE of your existence, far more important than the fleeting enjoyment experienced by clients at a temporary music festival.

The Sheraton was a fantastic place, with great staff, nice beach, good pools, and easily accessible. The breakfast is also massive and well stocked, with huge variety. The rooms are large and very comfortable. But the lobby steals the show, it is breathtaking. The only downer was having to queue to go outside to the pool and beach area to get a wristband to show you were a hotel guest, because they also do day-guests. I think they should provide you with something at check in so you can just go in and out to the beach/pool whenever and as frequently as you like, without having to get a wrist band or fill a form in. But that's me being really picky!

By mistake I left my credit card in the room and checked out. When I went to collect my credit card, I had to wait for about half an hour. In about an hour after that, some one tried to charge about $ 1,500 in two or 3 transactions. Fortunately I blocked my card and none of the transactions went through.
I warned the hotel management of presence of fraudsters in their staff.

Phenomenally pretty perfect

Spent a wonderful week at the Sheraton Grand Doha, brilliant staff that the hotel should be proud of, from security to housekeeping, they made our stay wonderful. The rooms were beautiful and clean and the food fresh and delicious.

The location of the hotel is amazing, and the views and grounds beautiful. If you are ever in Doha would highly recommend a stay at the Sheraton.

The BA flight from UK arrives Doha at 5:30am, so we were at the hotel by 7am, as we had informed them in advance. We had breakfast in the Executive Lounge and read there for a while, until at about 10am there was already a room available for us. This was outstanding service, and let us enjoy our first day to the full.
Almost everything about this hotel is superb, and makes a trip worth the expensive prices. We had booked a non-refundable Executive Room for an 8-night stay. The Lounge offered not the simple continental breakfast and evening canapes which most hotels do, but a full range of western and arab choices for both meals, plus light lunches and teas. So effectively a room-only booking was in fact full-board. All aspects of hotel service, both indoors and outside at the beach and swimming pool, were the best we have ever experienced.
The one disappointment arose on Friday, when loud and thumping music began in the grounds about mid-day. The bass beat was so penetrating that it could be heard in our room on the 6th floor even with the balcony doors shut and the air-conditioning on. When we complained about this, we were told that it was due to carry on all through the evening and night and into Saturday morning, and that this happened every week. To their credit, the management gave us the use of a small room on the city side of the hotel, so we were not driven mad by the noise. There should be a notice on the hotel's website announcing that this would spoil the week.

This hotel wants to think of the normal people staying there not the rich. Bought 2 small cans of Pepsi whichsell for 4 Riyal in supermarket & was charged 60 Royal by hotel. Not on.

We had a great stay at the Sheraton Grand. We arrived from the US at 3AM and were able to check in to our room by reserving a room starting the night before our arrival. Check-in was smooth and fast. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable and we had a wonderful water view. The property is very well maintained and all the staff were exceptionally friendly. Excellent, central location.

Excellent location with private beach and pool area. Night manager very helpful allowing early access to room and late checkout. Great location. Our room had great views of ocean and part of city skyline. Impressive during day and at nighttime with city lights.

This is out second time at this hotel and it was even better than the first time. Great hotel, good location, great facilities and such lovely staff. Was made to feel at home. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Doha and will definitely be returning to this hotel in the future. Sad to be back home and not at the Sheraton.

5 plus star hotel

Excellent service. well appointed room with a beautiful view of the sea and city. Food very good and all the staff was friendly and helpful. would stay here again. best location and accommodations
