Arrived in chaotic Dehli to find this little sanctuary of a hotel. Room was compact but tastefully decorated with the most comfortable bed and bedding, hot shower and unique view over the stadium. It was very quiet and we slept well. The only negative was the breakfast had a limited choice for Europeans. I would stay here again when visiting Delhi.

It was quiet, staff was very friendly and helpful, breakfast was good and plentiful, we were walking distance to many hotels and shops. There were a lot of street dogs and people seemed to care for them, give them food and shelter, not chase them away.

Executive summary: I'd stay here again. Other than the refrigerator not working in my room, everything else was fine. Over my 4 nights staying here, i grew comfortable with the surrounding neighborhood and enjoyed the proximity to the metro station and shopping and dining options. Breakfast was basic and nothing to write home about. Because of the season, i did not use the pool, but the area looks very nice. A/c was fine. Water pressure and hot water were excellent bedding very comfortable. All good.

I arrived here on my birthday. Sona the receptionist was very friendly and thoughtful. She allowed us to check in early and prepared a birthday surprise in the room. The bed was decorated with balloons and Happy Birthday bed cover. A birthday chocolate cake was also presented. This is the best surprise I've received from a hotel. Really appreciate it!

This was an absolutely wonderful stay. On our first night in the city, we stayed at a smaller cheaper hotel that looked great in pictures, but they were obviously heavily doctored and in some cases outright fake; it was shady in person, and felt very unsafe (someone was vigorously rattling and shaking the doorknob trying to get in at 2am!).
Because of this, I decided to change hotels upgrade for safety as woman traveling alone abroad, and chose the Connaught and I’m SO glad we stayed here! The security and safety felt top notch, and the staff were so kind and gracious and attentive; I felt like I was some sort of VIP. This was probably the nicest hotel I ever stayed in, and the room service food was wonderful.
I wish I had stayed here from the beginning instead of wasting time and money on the other hotel, but I’m glad I was able to spend two nights here at the end of my stay. I loved the colorful tiger statue in the lobby! I had a great view of the stadium which was also really nice. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

At the breakfast, Mr.Mani and everybody was caring, and served with courtesy..The only minus point is the small room, difficult to accommodate your luggage..I managed as I was alone and just one suitcase..my experience was pleasant..

The room was small. But that’s not the main point. The bedside ‘tables’/space was very limited. Worst thing was that the shower area had just half a door - there was no shower curtain, so the water from the shower would flood the bathroom.

I have to call out Sakshi for a great check-out experience. It was early in the morning but she was alert and offered to pack me breakfast the night before. So kudos to her for her efficiency and thoughtfulness.

The hotel manager was very friendly and conceded to the bathroom flooding issue and offered to send up extra towels to block the water from flowing onto the main floor.


In any case, given the price I paid (Expedia said it was a 5-star hotel, which it was not, and definitely not what I expected from the Taj brand) the hotel could have been better. I am fine with the quirkiness, but the price did not match the amenities.

Everything was absolutely great. The hotel is beautiful. The room was spotless, the bed super comfortable, and the flooring in the room was very nice. The room is spacious and has everything you need to feel completely at ease. The bathroom is large, perfectly clean, and everything works very well. The service is incredibly good.

I especially want to highlight Sona, Anil, and Satish, who were always attentive, kind, and ready to help with a smile. Thanks to them, my experience was even more special. I would definitely come back!

This property is as you would expect, it is as described and the pictures are representative.
Above this I would say staff are super attentive, big shout out to to door men and ladies. Housekeeping ON 3rd were the absolute best, they really did excellent job, supper clean room and so helpfull when i wasn't 100%.

Comfy bed. From the moment you get to the property, the staff are fantastic. The pool area is clean and towels refreshed throughout the day. The restaurant is good and the bar lovely, with lots of spirit options.
The rooms are very clean and modern and the bed was comfortable. The air conditioning was not too noisy.

Calm Oasis in Central New Delhi

Lovely slightly low-key hotel just off Connaught Place. Modest lobby but stylish in a good way. Formal but polite service. Slightly dated room but well-maintained and comfortable. Quiet neighborhood, and walkable. Fabulous buffet breakfast. Booked a return trip since I liked it.

What sets this property apart from others is the staff. They were helpful, kind and really cared about delivering top notch service to guests. Nothing was too much. Plus it is part of the Taj group, and it shows. Only downside are costly dining and drinks, though quality is high.Central location A superb value for money hotel.

Clean and beautiful rooms, excellent staff- all the way from front to the back of the house, staff was excellent and did everything to ensure our stay comfortable. Breakfast Buffet is great. Airport shuttle available upon request (paid). Pawan kumar helped us. Everyone is exceptional and it’s a great location as it falls in middle of many sight seeing places. Thank you for the great service. Greatly appreciated.
