Excellent housekeeping and prompt response from maintenance staff. Reception staff was generally great. Room was pathetic with cockroach infection, fittings that were fallingbapart including a/c control. Telephones did not work or have a ceackle on the line. Maytress needed replacement. Shower was leaking and had to be fixed. awrc

Staff was courteous. Room is in poor condition. Needs maintenance, pest control, new fittings and accessories. Overall unsatisfactory. The wifi is unsecured and did not work the first two days till we complained. Lights in cupboard have exposed wiring and the light would not go off.

Location is great, but staff needs training

Stayed here for a couple of nights on a business trip. The hotel is conveniently located close to Pune Lohegaon airport, and has lots of shops, bars and eateries in the neighbourhood, within walking distance.
I used in-room dining a lot during this stay. The food was generally speaking good, but the service left a lot to be desired: for example, food was ordered for two, but cutlery was provided for only one; a request for ice took over 45 minutes to materialise; butter was kept under warm toast - with predictable results:)...and so on. The serving staff were mostly young and seemed inexperienced. Obviously, nothing was done on purpose, but it was a little exasperating. A little training here will go a long way!

Lovely restaurant across the road. Good location for Aga Khan palace and central Pune.
Only negative, after staying for a full week we had paid extra for late 6pm checkout then had to hang around in the foyer for 3 hours until 9pm when we left for our flight - they insisted we pay full 1 day room fee to keep the room from 6pm to 9pm. We refused so sat in foyer. The room was empty upstairs so the hotel could've allowed us to use it but we felt a full 1 day fee on top of our already paid late checkout fee was unfair. Because of this I will stay elsewhere on my future visits to Pune, so hopefully they will see that their mean behavior has lost them revenue and they will treat future guests fairly.

This hotel is a bit tired and run down for a 4 star rated property. It's conveniently located nearby the airport and shopping areas. Staff were friendly at check in but not so efficient with check out. Overall a 3 star experience.

Nice location, but the rooms! No air no ventilation amazing heavy smell of mold in the room all night long that you have to breath in! And the old A.C. system makes it worse so better keeping it off.
Restaurant is ok average. Internet speed is fair.

Excellent ambience

Stayed at the Orchid Central for 2 days with my wife. Excellent location, clean surroundings, excellent staff very courteous and helpful, most importantly prompt and ‘never say no’ attitude. To top it a very sumptuous and tasty breakfast which satisfies your taste buds may you be from any corner of the country. I would certainly recommend it to one and all. And to the staff- Keep it up.

Etiquettes need to be learned by the staff

Likes:
Spacious rooms and toilets.
Good view( atleast my room had)

Dislikes:
Few staff members dont have the basic etiquettes and lack of understanding.
Booked from two different websites for rooms for continuous stay. (As the rooms were getting full because of a wedding happening)
End of 1st booking makes them call me again again and disturb the sleep of the guests to pay even after giving them the information during check-in and they even took a note of the booking but they wanted payment, like we would run away. Trust me even 2 star hotels dont do this with guests.
1st day they forgot to clean up the room even after informing them.
My guests werent allowed to enter the hotel after 6pm. Thats what they were told at the reception desk. (Is this a Jail that you have visiting hours)
Pls dont have high hopes for the pool.
Its really small and only 4ft deep. The photos just make the hotel look big but its not.
Gym has hardly 2 machines

good location. food was good. first two days of the stay staff was very polite and helpful however on the third day they really were helpful. not sure if it was because of change of staff or because we were checking out that day. Overall, rooms were clean and comfort was there. Felt like a safe hotel for women to stay when travelling alone.

Good Property, Good Food & But Terrible Cleanlines

Check in & Check out was smooth, staff was helpful, Food Was good.
But room cleanliness was not good at all. Bathtub was a bit broken and certain in bathroom was dirty.
We even found condom packet in bath robes.

Comfortable stay@ROC Pune

Royal Orchid Central Pune is a great place to stay, the staff was very friendly and courteous. All the requests were swiftly taken care of. Quite often, hotels fail to give get consistent level of service but ROC Pune manages to do that. Located very centrally at Kalyani Nagar, yet close to Airport. Used the restaurant and swimming pool as well, no complaints!

A very good experience

We checked in at 4:00 in the morning. The hotel had a car and driver waiting at the airport in PNQ. Very professional and friendly driver, desk staff, and restaurant manager. We had weird hours but they were very accommodating and supportive. Great experience.

Guess most of what they charge is for \"location\"

I think the reception should know if someone has shown up at your hotel claiming they have booked through Expedia, instead of telling them that you have no reservation for them and letting them fend for themselves and contact Expedia, maybe you should use that deskphone to talk to Expedia to sort that out.

Poor service, construction noise but good location

Well this is a story of hits and misses. Reception and room service was bad. Whole lot of construction going on ...we could't rest or sleep during the day. Garden view was a view of construction tent. Internet was not working, remote didn't have the cell, called reception for construction noise twice but nothing ...not even some efforts to acknowledge the issue. When we arrived they didn't have reservation..not sure whose issue it was, as I booked it around month in advance.

On positive side room were clean and nice. Breakfast service was absolutely great. Location is very good.

overall won't stay there again.

Could be perfect but....

Overall impression was very good a few things did however ticked me off. At first i was sjoked that when we needed a doctor they did call one for us but insted of being charged by the doctor 300-500 rps the hotel collected 1500 rps. When we checked in we were assigned rooms on the sixth floor where hslf of the view outward was plastic sheets for roofing the pool and duct tape + bad mildow smell. When we complained they \"played \" with us and kept postponding our shifting to other rooms on third night after being promised to be shifted and still not done and fighting with mgmt only than they shofted us to a suit.
Beside those incidents it was a nice place with good breakfast and service. Best part is the location!
