The room was stuffy and smelled of cigarette smoke. The place looked shabby. The towels were dirty. Power would go off intermittently. The only thing going for the place was that it was available last minute, and the beds were horizontal.

Not worth staying even if its free

I visited Pune for two days and stayed at St Laurn, however the condition of the property, the cleanliness was just horrible. The upholstery in the room was dirty and stained, looked like it was at least 10 years old. The washrooms were stained and dirty, there was water leakages.

I would not stay at this hotel even if they offered free rooms.

Too expensive and NOISY

After more than 10 hours driving (almost 5 hours in a terrible trip from Mumbai to Pune) and 3 flights from Europe, I arrived at hotel around 8.30AM and I asked if the quiet room which I paid for is ready. I told that I am VERY tired and if the room is good I will stay at least one week (I am still in Pune). They told me that I need to wait. I was waiting so much that I even fell asleep couple of times on the chair. Finally, after 10AM I could go to the room after I paid something at reception thinking that it was local tax, since for the hotel I paid couple of days before. Even being very tired I could not sleep because of crazy noise from street (tipical in India to have the hand bonded on horn buton). I thought that I will sleep well during the night. No way! Even the room was at last floor, it was impossible for me to sleep because it was just above the main Street. In the morning I asked at reception to change my room and they did it quite fast. It was a little better than first one but still noise, old, not working TV (like first one). I just refused to stay longer than booking since they also increased the price. For half amount of money you can have MUCH better rooms in Europa and QUIET ONES IN CIVILIZED cities. So BE SURE you arrive at hotel when checkin starts, since for couple hours earlier they charged me with 1200 rupees (as early check-in).
Please double check if breakfast is INDEED included when you book online the room!!! I had this 'nice' surprise.

Excellent security. Reception staff speak very little English not very helpful. We asked for taxi which was apparently ordered it never arrived had to wait over an hour for one to eventually turn up.
No western food in buffet although they say a mix of Indian and western. Everything too spicy for us. A girl in the buffet fortunately made us some special soup and chicken which was good of her. I think she did this because we wrote on survey about the spiciness of the food.
Room ok but needs refurbishment mirror fell off wall.
Overall ok but they had no maps to offer of Pune and no suggestions of sites to visit.
Could be a lot better!

Good Location, Pathetic Hotel!!!

Rest nothing seemed to be even worth the effort.
Firstly the charged my credit card even before I reached the Hotel. When I called to ask them, I got a rude and arrogant reply that it is a \"Hotel Policy\". I told them that I would like to pay by cash, but they insisted that they would charge my credit card which was only a booking requirement as per Expedia.
The Food was something you get at a bad roadside food stall.
The Waiters and the Front Desk Staff were as rude and arrogant as if they were doing me a favour.
The experience was like staying in a highway motel.

A/C, Drainage and refrigerators in any of 5 rooms\n

A/C, Drainage and refrigerators in any of 5 rooms we were moved to Did not work. Too many staff but they were limited to what they could do. Best part was quality of buffet and bell captain & Door man. All of this was over & above roaches visiting your washrooms daily,
We used the hotel to house the luggage & shower & get ready for the wedding we went to Pune for. We were sleeping with families staying in the hotel next door.

Go figure.

Nice hotel at good location

Hotel was good with close proximity to osho meditation centre, german bakery and major restaurants and malls of pune. Airport is 20 mins drive from the hotel. facilities at hotel were good wrt business stay and breakfast was also good.

Overall really good value

Overall really good value but primarily a business hotel. Location is great for getting around Pune and Korean park area. As a business hotel it did have an impersonal feel and a few smiles from the reception staff wouldn't go amiss. Breakfast buffet was really good (although they make awful runny porridge!). WiFi was often slow. The pool and gym are being revamped and should be great when finished. Reception have a habit of serving business people in priority to other guests. However a really good price so can't really complain too much.

Please avoid if you have other options

Location is very good but some of the issues are as follows:

1. They ask for upfront advance payment (experienced it first time)
2. Staff at reception shows attitude and are indifferent
3. Bed was not comfortable you can feel the springs
4. Towels are smelly and if you forget to read the newspaper (which comes late), they take it away

“Great Location....That's About It!!!”

So I had booked my cousin and us at the St. laurn Hotel over the weekend as we got a good deal and it is centrally located bang on Koregaron Park. Since we were to be travelling around the city throughout the day, i thought to give this one a try. But it was my BIGGEST mistake. Let's start with the good stuff :- the hotel is well located, the rooms well furnished and the pool is nice. But that's where it all ends, once in the hotel the RUDE staff in the lobby just gave a sign of things to come, their didn't care much. Secondly, we were asked to reserve a table at dinner/lunch else we would not be allowed to eat our meal at the restaurant - this despite them leaving a few tables empty for \"outside guests\"; talking of which they misbehaved with a guest who came to visit us by saying \"sir we will not allow you to go up to the room (this despite my cousin allowing him to come up)\" then at breakfast the staff showed my guests the watches sayign its 1025 please finish breakfast quickly and showed him the watch. Moving on he told my guest \"we do not like outside guests visiting hotel guests\".

By the pool when my 5 year old niece was swimming there was no lifeguard nor was there any staff to help us with towels. So someone had to go down to the lobby and request for towels. In the room they were reluctant to give an extra towel or more soap. The staff treated us as if we were staying there against their will, the GM too wasn't very helpful

GUYS AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS

Business hotel at heart of Koregaon Park.

St. Laurn is located near Koregaon Park area and at walking distance to Osho ashram. The propert is around 8-10 years old and I could sense the sign of aging in room.

Overall, low price and excellent location and access to near by area makes it worth a stay.

well thought when built..sad after that..

The rooms are well appointed and one can easily tell that the owners have put in a lot of effort and thought into what all should be available in the room, sadly there was no care taken.

The rooms were filthy, dust everywhere, the AC vents were clogged with the dirt, fittings & ledges not cleaned for days, thinned out bed linen, on the first day the entire set of towels i.e. bath, hand & floor was available, on the 2nd day there was only one bath towel placed.

My baby spilled some milk on the floor & when I called housekeeping there was a very impatient man who answered and told me that nobody was available at midnight. Only after calling reception did they manage to send somebody to the room. The attendant came with a dirty rag, wiped the floor and left, the floor was really sticky but we didn't bother calling anybody up again and just cleaned it ourselves.

The safe was locked probably by the previous guest who checked out. Maintenance came picked up the safe and placed another one, that is when I realized that the safe wasn't even bolted in place. How could anyone place their valuables after seeing this?

The breakfast and the restaurant though was very nice for those who love a good Indian breakfast.

Look out for the staff especially the housekeeping who will keep hovering until you tip them even if they have really provided you any service.

The WiFi is bad and keeps on disconnecting whilst you are working.

Pathetic Hotel

Hotels ac are in bad condition .
I was there for 2 nights and in total 8 rooms
All had problem with AC
AC maintenance staff is not up to the mark.
As well as the front desk experience is not good
They made us wait for approx 20 mins as they didn't had the confirmation form Hotel.com
The breakfast is pathetic.

Hotel is not recommended....

Central Location, Good food, Decent room

The rooms were good and clean...but the finish of the build quality is not good.. The hotel from photo appears to be a luxury hotel, while in reality a bit of maintenance is required...

The room was not cooling initially, as the technicians probably had kept the duct flow low to save power..later they opened the duct and it was calling well.

The buffet lunch and breakfast if both good and choice plenty.

Good location, basic infra not upto standards

Hotel room was ok, basic necessities were missing. E.g. no hand towels were provided. When we checked in at 2 PM the room was very hot and it never cooled down till 5 PM and had to bear the heat in the warm room.

Nice Budget Hotel

The Hotel is well maintained and the staff are courteous & helpful. Food is decent and the buffet spread is good for the price (there was an offer for lunch buffet for INR 300 net). The rooms are big and the room has a locker, complimentary tea/ coffee, ironing board, adjustable A/C temperature and flat screen TV. The bathrooms are well designed with bath tub and separate shower area.

Since this Hotel is in good demand, they would not agree to a late check-out. Close by is the 'German Bakery' and other eateries.

Aged property in a great location

Rooms are badly designed. Bed is not comfortable to sleep in. Light from the wardrobe wouldn't switch off. Stains on the bath tub. Health faucet not working. Toiletries are run of the mill. Poor lighting in the room and in the bathroom. Switches are very strange

And this property is just 10 years old! My, how quickly has it aged.

Only consolation was the break fast which was up to the mark.

I stayed only one night (luckily). Would not go back.

Worst experience. DON'T STAY AT THIS HOTEL.

WORST HOTEL I HAVE EVER STAYED AT. Water was leaking from the roof of the loo yesterday. This morning there was no water in the sink or shower till 830AM!! They deactivated my wifi connection when I was using it for no reason, had to call them 5 times to get it reactivated. Would NOT advise anyone to stay here.

Business Hotel- no frills

As I had a short business trip I decided to stay at this as the price was very good through expedia as well as the location. While the exterior of the hotel looked modern, the interior seems dated. The hotel may have been better days. The complete reception right upto the room lobbies smelt of food. The water in the shower drained out very slowly. The hotel..though busy...still seemed to have a desolate feeling. The rooms were simple and neat but the bed had hair on it. Cleanup may have been mechanical rather than with scrutiny.

Check-in was smooth with enthusiastic staff eager to help. Getting to the room was fast.
Bottled water was readily available included in the price. In=room Tea/Coffee were available, but was not comfortable using the the water heater as it did not seem to be clean enough.

Only one hand napkin and soap was provided in the room whereas the booking was for 2 people.

Wifi Internet worked fine.

Overall the hotel is good for 1 1 day stay, very well located and value for money with the deal prciing.
