Location excellent for subway access, restaurants and takeaway outlets close by. Hotel is kind of dated, but does serve a purpose.
Stayed 6 nights, no bedding change, but fresh towels and water daily.
Breakfast…plentiful, but quality varies depending on item. So hot food is freshly cooked, pastries and cakes not fresh.
Would I recommend…yes, but don’t expect perfection.

This hotel is modern and clean, the rooms are spacious and it is located in a building with many dining options. The staff I met english was limited, but nevertheless was helpful. It is located about 5 minutes walk from the subway station and other transport options are close by and it is walking distance from shopping and dining options, also less that 5 minutes walk from the railway station

The Hotel is okay. It's nothing fancy but good.
Mark was an excellent concierge.
However, the rest of his colleagues were not professional at all.
They booked my taxi to a different airport despite my explicitly showing them my itinerary.
And when I tried to contact them by phone, they hung up.
Anyway, the Hotel is near the Train station (Beijing Railway Station, not the South Railway Station, where trains from Shanghai arrive and depart).
Also, you will find a subway station within walking distance.

We stayed at Beijing Pudi, got a free upgrade, the aircon was turned off, but got a fan with humidifier, manage to keep the room cool enough when we get back in the evening.
There is a crack on the shower area, both wall and floor, hope the hotel can improve on this.
Other than that, it is convenient to travel with Jianguomen metro is only 5 mins walk, both the morning peak and non-peak hours. Beijing train station is similar but crossing over barricade is an issue.

There was no AC!!!! the temperature in my room was 25 Celsius or 77 Fahrenheit in the room. The only solution they had was to open the window and guest what there was a metro station not very far with trains going up and down!!! No way to sleep. not very happy with this stay. The powerless hotel staff could not help

We were on two occasions as we had our stopovers in Beijing… the hotel itself is ok, some areas are quite smelly tho… and to this day I can’t really tell where it was coming from.
The people in reception the first time was friendly but the second time they were extremely rude and unhelpful with very limited English.
The rooms were dated and with clear signs of it, for example the marble in the shower seat was cracked and not well maintained, the heating was on and it was unbearable. Overall it was ok for a stopover but nothing else.

Excellent hotel. I stayed there for six days. The hotel was very comfortable and in a great location. There's a mini-mart near the lobby, and the heating worked well. The shower had hot water and high pressure, which was fantastic. I loved the carpeting in the room and the old furniture (heavy and of good quality). The room also had a large desk, perfect for work. The Wi-Fi was a bit slow but reliable. The front desk staff were cordial and friendly, and both check-in and check-out were quick. The hotel was super clean. You can walk to the Forbidden City, but it will take you about 45 minutes.

Only downside is a lot of people smoke around the front door area and packages are dropped off there so you can’t escape from the second hand smoke. Not sure if the hotel would consider creating a designated smoking area further away from the front door to keep the air fresh.

No air conditioner. Very hot. Dirty. Old hotel. Used to be Marriott back in a good days. Even that pool is included you have to pay 28 Yuen for swimming hat - this is crazy! Our windows were facing south and the view was waste yard. We booked non smoking room and it smelled like it was smoking. For the same price get the Kuntai hotel - 5 stars, clean, staff is friendly, speaks English and willing to help. Not staying at this anymore.

The breakfast tasted stale, the eggs had salmon in them, the coffee was cool, not even warm. The room was above 80F the entire time we were there and it was miserable. We could not change hotels because we booked with Expedia. The hotel took a deposit when we checked in but would not reimburse it but said Expedia. Like that is going to happen. Not great booking through a third party. You totally lose ant control. NOT A HAPPY CAMPER.

I had a large room with bath, shower, desk area etc. Fantastic buffet breakfast. Walking distance from the main station and associated subways. (Turn right out of the main station and walk for 7 minutes ish). The location is reasonably convenient but to be honest, Beijing is so big that no hotel here is going to be within walking distance of very much. The hotel staff spoke little English - this is normal for China - so one makes do somehow. There are shops in the ground floor precinct. There is a pool and gym. I stayed 4 days and would happily go back.

Pool and hot tub was very enjoyable (don’t forget head cap).
TV channel was limited to government owned channels.
Internet was limited.
Optional buffet breakfast was very nice, but people keep taking my table while I clearly put my belonging (tablet) on it to show it was occupied.
Hotel is located 12-14 minute walk from 2 metro stations (Line 1 and 2).
Don’t forget your passport when you go out, you will need it to enter museums, random police check, etc.

We stayed here for 8 nights. The hotel facilities and location are top notch. Our room was clean and no odor, and spacious. The swimming pool and hot tub are located on the 3rd floor. I was impressed with the swimming pool that you could do lap swimming. The only thing was that there’s certain smell of smoke around the area. The location close to metro, bus stops. 600 meters distance. Overall we are very pleased with our stay. Thanks.

I booked two night stays. All my stay experience was good, however just good. It's not like what I expected at all. Especially the hotel doorman guy. When I asked a doorman guy how to ride the sub and the bus from this hotel, he just answered me very impatiently. He doesn't want to say one more word. The next day, I failed to call a taxi because of the rush hour. I stood there almost twenty minutes already. I tried to get some help from the doorman. Unfortunately I met the same guy. You can guess what I experienced. He answered me every questions by saying\"I don't know\" \"How can I know\" \"Why should I know\"!!!
I expect the hotel stuffs should get the proper training. At least they should know how to talk to the guests and how to help the guests. Very basic training!

The hotel exceeded our expectations. It was very clean, well presented and the room was a really good size. It was easy to check in and although the staff member didn’t speak too much English, she went on google translate and quickly found our room. We used the pool once and it was nice but you do need a swimming cap. There isn’t much around the hotel, just a couple of shops and restaurants so we got the subway/ taxis out each day. It’s within a 5 minutes walk of 2 subway stations, which made it easy to get around. For the price you pay, we thought this was a great hotel!

Be aware that this hotel is far away from anything worth doing or seeing, and you will have to take taxis or spend a fair amount of time on the subway to get around. For first time visitors of Beijing make sure you check how far apart everything is- this hotel looks closer than you’d expect! The hotel is in a building with many other businesses above a large train station, and while the view is fine from the higher floors, it’s a bit of a disappointment upon arrival if you’re hoping for a romantic stay.

We had a strange start, we were told we got a free upgrade but we were given the exact room I purchased. Room smelled of old cigarettes despite being a no smoking room, one of the power outlets by the bed did not work, the overhead shower did not work as the button was broken, and room cleaning was minimal which made the plan of using the bathtub dubious, and the floor wasn’t vacuumed well. For the sound sensitive, know that you can hear the trains screeching outside if the windows are open but with them closed it’s negligible. They offered to change our room the following night to the other side of the building but we opted to stay where we were after the first night.

Overall it got the job done and the deluxe room was large, but certainly too expensive for what was provided and not nearly as nice as the photos make it seem. You’re better off paying more to be more central.
