Lovely hotel. Clean, spacious and a pretty design throughout.
Room was comfortable, I liked the choice of pillows available. The room service robot was really cute. The location was walkable to interesting places and close to underground train stations.
The highlight was the breakfast buffet, would definitely recommend adding that to your stay. They had a lot to choose from and it wasn't the same everyday either. They had plenty of tasty veggie options too. I enjoyed their soy milk machine, added to an espresso it made a great coffee, so a very good buffet for anyone vegan.
Overall a very pleasant stay, I couldn't fault anything. I would happily return here again

The Hotel is located not far from the centre. It is five minutes walk from the metro and easily connected to the rest of the city. The staff is very helpful. Some of the spoke good English. The interior is a bit retro but overall tidy and there are also two restaurants. One is available for breakfast where there is a large buffet. On my birthday they left a cake on my room which was very nice of them. good value fro money.

2 boy Gamers in next room yelling all night kept waking me. Also strong smoke smell (from bathroom vent system). told reception and they warned them but they were still playing/smoking on second night.
Manager apologised for noise (and said it was a non smoking hotel), moved us to another room on 3rd night which was quiet.

Many thanks to fabulous Concierges in lobby for helping us get tickets to TeamLab Beijing and Tiananmen Sq reservations. They were always helpful and great on English /Chinese translate app.

The hotel room is good, clean and the staff is nice. However, there are many issues: the smell of cigarettes smoke awoke me up every morning, and it was all over in the hallway. This is not a smoking facility but people just are being ignorant. They talk loud in the hall way no matter what time it is. The breakfast has a good selection but not many western breakfast selection so be warned. One day there was a lady who wears a hotel badge sat down with a guest for breakfast and started talking so loud that we couldn’t even hear our conversation and I had to move. The hotel is open to domestic and international guests but the staff is not well trained, the lady who checked me in cannot write the English letter properly so I had to call to verify the username then she became impatient over the phone. If you are used to western hospitality, spend a bit more in other hotels or stick with the chain hotels. At the end, you get what you paid for. I booked a room for one person however there is no choice to pay for one breakfast on Orbitz, I ended up paying two breakfasts for 7 days. Overall, you get what you paid for, it is in a great location. From a non smoking environment, it is almost unbearable for me to wake up smelling the smoke inside the room every day!

The hotel is centrally located and close to Wangfujing shopping area. Very close to a subway station which is convenient for travelers who wish to visit different parts of the city. However, the hotel’s wi-fi is extremely slow and there are no other options to access the internet. Based on the hotel’s instructions, the room temperature is kept above 26 °C from spring to fall and below 20 °C in winter. I stayed in the hotel in the middle of April and the room temperature reached 27 °C most of the time. I will not return to this hotel for these two reasons.

This location is super close to the Dongdan metro station. The breakfast was pretty good and the staff was friendly. My only complaint was the amount of people smoking in the “non-smoking” rooms. The hallways smelled bad and the smell of smoke was in our room at times. The hotel should enforce its policies.

Just a couple minutes walk to a metro station. Room is really good, spacious and was tidied up really well during my stay. Was hard to control the room temperature as it was mainly for heating, so I had to open the window at times to get the room a little cooler - there was a problem closing one of the windows that I had to call room service for help.

Best Hotel with Great Service in Central Beijing

Great hotel located near many major monuments and subway station. Concierge service desk is super helpful and friendly. We stayed for 6 days and enjoyed the daily breakfast so much that we missed lunch several days. I will definitely stay in this hotel again when visiting Beijing.

the air-condition is centralised, which means all rooms have the same temperature and this is pretty absurd and disappointing. although it is winter and it is cold outside, the rooms are set at above 30 deg cel and it makes the experience unbearable. i have to borrow a not-so-useful fan and open the window for every night.

Really nice hotel, hotel restaurants were very expensive, and there weren’t a lot of restaurants super close. They were about a 10 min walk away. Great location, close to the Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Pearl Market, Silk Market, and the Metro system. There was always someone who spoke English, the staff members who didn’t were very nice and would go get the person who spake English.

Hotel was better two years ago. Now, just an average hotel in a good part of Beijing. Be alert when checking out. If you book and pay online they will tell you your reservation is paid at check out. Ask them for a invoice and they tell you you're all paid and good to go. Came home and found the hotel charged my CC thirty four sixty two the day after I checked out. No known food charges, no known charges of any kind. Of course, trying to contact the hotel now for an explanation will be a total waste of time. 12 time traveler to Beijing and I've never had this happen to me until my recent say at Inner Mongolia.

Only downside is that the crossroad in front of the hotel is not very practical, so drivers had to make huge detour to access hotel. It is worth crossing the pedestrian bridge to go towards Tian An Men and Forbidden City.
Mongolian restaurant is not very well decorated but food is really good.

The hotel was beautiful and we had a very spacious and comfortable room, we found the hotel to be in excellent condition and well maintained and the room doors very secure. The stuff were mostly helpful but English was very limited. My son is studying chinese in China but even with his help things were not easy. Hotels here do not work like western hotels, we paid the 500RMB deposit but when we tired to sign things to the room if it was above the 500 deposit we were not allowed, they did take international credit cards mainly Visa just make sure you have enough cash. This hotel is walking distance to the local underground line and it is a very quick trip to the main tourist areas. if you use taxis make sure you have the hotel name and address in chinese to show the driver. There are also parks and shop very close by. Our only disappointment was the staff and price of the Hot Pot restaurant, we were made to feel very unwelcome and it was very expensive but it had been a long day and we just wanted a meal at the hotel.

The hotel is in a nice location for visiting The Forbidden City. They have a couple of good and distinct restaurants that are worth exploring. The breakfast buffet is pretty poor as to western food. Service is normally good. One thing that bothered me was the mold on the union of the bathroom walls and floors. No Spanish spoken in the hotel, English is just barely understood, that seems to be the norm in China.

The first night I had dinner there the server hovered over me and did not move until I had made my decision. I also leared from my guide that this was not an International hotel like the Novotel but rather one that was more for the Chinese visiting Beijing.

This got to be one of the most disappointing stays I had. Front desk service varies by widely from courteous to uninterested, gym facility is in the back of offices, the foot spa is practicing prey and rip off and in my opinion should be shut down for its shady operation.

Many people say breakfast is good, this is a total joke. There are not many selections and 90% of the dishes are made lukewarm and taste poor. It's no better than a 3 star hotel. It made you wonder why a government run hotel can be this bad. The only good thing they have is the pretty lobby horse. It's such a waste in this prime location. I am sure the hotel management is incompetent and non hospitality trained.

A solid 4.25 star that could have been a 5 if not for a few things:
1) smoking stench that lingers in the corridor because the hotel does not enforce its no smoking policy
2) the cleaning lady was wonderful, but changed our sheets on a day we specifically put a \"do not disturb\" sign. No big deal but good thing we locked the safe that day!
3) the person who checked us in was not friendly
4) the massage area was way overpriced, and the lady providing the service tried to further sell us other services. The massage center was clean but could have been better.
But we liked the big room, especially the toilet. Clean sheets and comfortable. Near shopping and eateries. A 7-11 that was only a few minutes away (a little hard to find). Cleaning lady was so sweet to leave us sweets for our throat when the weather turned smoggy. Overall, good experience.

It was a nice hotel. Reasonably good access to the centre. Great shower, very powerful, complimentary water a plus. Only real negative is whilst a non-smoking building, there was a slight smell of stale cigarette smoke in our room, but after a night you didn’t notice it. If you want a nice, clean room, with a powerful shower, big bed and good amenities at a mid range room rate, you can’t go wrong with staying at Inner Mongolia.

Great expect for smoke in non-smoking rooms

We stayed in this hotel for 2 days. We chose the place because of the proximity to tourist attractions. The hotel is large, nice and clean. My only complaint is the smell of smoke everywhere. All rooms had a large non-smoking sign, but it seems people can safely ignore that. There was at least one room where people were smoking all day. They even left the door open, cleaning staff was walking around, but nobody stopped them from smoking.

Stopped in Beijing for one night needing to catch a train from the nearby station the following morning. We took one of the deluxe king suites with two bathrooms and a separate bedroom, which was perfect for letting us navigate our differing jet lag responses. So luxurious for one of us to be able to move about, shower, watch T.V., visit one of the in-house restaurants, without disturbing the other's sleep. We didn't have the time to move about the city much, but things are pretty close and we'd definitely consider staying again.

Hotel's name in Chinese 内蒙古大厦 was misleading as it did not suggest it was a hotel, but signs in English near the building suggested it was, so we did find the Hotel after some looking around.

Interior of the hotel was pleasing, and facilities was up to expectations of a standard 4 star hotel. Room was comfortable, with a work desk included. Huge windows offerer views of the street.

Excellent situated between Dongdan and Chengwenmen subway stations. Rooms sufficiently spaceous and comfortable. Included breakfast is mainly chinese-style and very extensive. Ive stayed here on 3 separate occasions but this last trip makes me question if I will stay again. While the room says it is non smoking, the hotel DOES NOT enforce no smoking in adjacent rooms or in the hallways. One of the nights I wore a mask to ease the smell of cigarette smoke sweeping into the room.

My REAL issue is with concierge and THE SCAM one of its staff tried to pull off on Sunday, April 6. I requested a car to the airport. The staff member said I could choose a taxi or a car as they were the same price: 120 RMB. Considering that DID, I agreed to a car. When the car arrived I was hustled in, but I realized this guy had NO IDEA where he was going. He seemed confused & kept texting someone. I forced him to pull over & called the hotel. The front desk transferred me to the concierge who promised every thing was \"Ok\" but the driver would not proceed, asked me about money, seemed confused & then stayed on the phone with the hotel (using my phone) & when I asked the hotel what the issue was, why the driver seemed confused, concierge would not answer. I demanded my phone back and for the driver to open the trunk. I removed my bags and told the hotel staff I was returning and demanding my money. When I arrived back at the hotel the man who arranged the driver appeared panicked &I demanded my money returned which he removed from his pocket. he tried to bribe me with more money. I called a metered taxi, which only cost 90 rmb.

This hotel was way better than what I was expecting it to be. The room my boyfriend and I had was absolutely incredible! Everything about the bedding was absolutely spectacular. So freaking comfy and the pillows were very fluffy. It was a way better experience than we anticipated having. We visited in November of 2017 so it was VERY cold outside but the heat worked very well and would kick on quickly upon inserting the key into the slot next to the door. I would definitely recommend staying this hotel if you're planning to visit Beijing. The hotel staff is very accommodating and the hotel is in a good location. I have only visited the area once but if I ever go back I will definitely be staying there. For the prices they list the rooms at, it is well worth the stay! You get more than what you pay for, at least I did.

Dirty and smokers everywhere!

I'm not sure why this hotel has a high score from other reviews; maybe the standards are very different in China. Our experience there was really bad. From the beginning, checkout took a long time and that was even after preventing people to cut the line! Breakfast was also awful, there were some options, but the quality was really bad. It would have been nicer to have just fewer options, but with higher quality. The carpet in the room was really dirty and the bathroom also had a horrible smell coming out of it all the time. Finally, even though we were in a non-smoking floor, many people were smoking in there rooms and leaving their doors open. We would even smell the smoke in our room and the hotel didn't do anything about any of these problems. So, this was definitely not a 4* hotel with Western standards.

Day 1 was disappointing as I have requested for a non-smoking room and the staff told me that as previous guests insist on smoking in the room there is nothing much that they can do AND I have to live with this smelly odor for the rest of my 8 nights stay. Day 2 the hotel at least made my day as they realized it was my partner's birthday and they sent a birthday cake to my room. Following days onward, the bad odor in the room seems to have faded gradually (or rather we were already immune to the smell) as we leave the window opens every morning (outside 6 Celsius then) when we go out.

Kind and helpful staff

Staff here were helpful and professional. The room wasn't that clean but the bed was very comfortable. Their breakfast had a huge selection of different food but the quality was just ok overall. I think maybe there could better value w/ this price? Also, many people smoked in this hotel even though it's a non-smoking hotel. Also their wifi wasn't very good.

For China is reasonable I think

I dont have much comparison as this is the only hotel I stayed in China. The service and level of English is disappointing but that seems to be normal in China. There was cigarette smell in the room although its hard to say if its actually just the pollution. The breakfast was good with lots of choice, although nothing special taste-wise. Overall would probably stay again if I were in Beijing.

Hotel is a 10 min walk to the main Wangfujing strip. Very close to a subway. Nice chinese dumping and bao restaurant around the corner - definitely recommend. Hotel was very comfortable, but Wifi was poor. Receptionist weren't very friendly, but concierge's were very helpful.

Nice hotel with huge rooms

Great hotel with huge rooms located within walKnv distance from two subway station. The crossroad traffic can be very noisy but the room curtains were good sound isolators. Front desk receptionist was strangely all smiles to the Caucasian guests before and after me but totally cold face even when I am a Chinese speaking foreigner

Highly recommended!

I recently returned from my trip to China and thought that I would leave a comment for others, now that I know what it's like going through the booking process. Many of the comments you will see will often leave you confused, not knowing which hotel you should reserve. While, of course, this is just my perception, I will try to be as objective as I can.

1. Overall - excellent value for the money spent
2. Concierge and other employees were very friendly, we were helped with our luggage as soon as out car entered the driveway
3. While front desk employees did not speak English very well, they, were able to communicate enough to my understanding.
4. The concierge was the most helpful and accommodating. The day staff in that department knew how to speak English. Offered affordable and interesting tour experiences. The one we chose to the Great Wall was well organized, the tour guide spoke English well, and everyone was accommodating to our unique requests
5. The hotel is beautiful and grandeur. Buffet breakfast offered a diverse array of Western and Chinese options. Everything was fresh. Beautiful live instrumental music on weekend!
6. Room was clean, bed was well cushioned, house staff kind, working refrigerator, 2 free water bottles daily, have to pay for rest of mini-bar beverages, locked down safe, slight wear/rust on metal in shower, but I did not mind, given very positive overall experience

Fabulous Hotel

Our experience at this hotel was amazing. The location was fantastic, only a few steps away from the subway station, and had numerous local eateries and grocery stores nearby. There was a food cart across the street that sold tasty egg crepes for 7RMB which made for a hearty and delicious breakfast in the mornings before going on excursions around the city. There were bakeries, dumpling shops, and noodle houses less than 5 minute walk from the hotel where you could get a delicious dinner for two for about 35RMB. There were also several banks nearby for currency exchanges.

The hotel facilities were beautiful and modern, and did not appear at all in need of updates as some of the earlier reviews had indicated. There was live Mongolian music playing in the lobby during evenings. The staff were wonderful, as our flight into Beijing was unexpectedly delayed until the next day, and they were extremely helpful and accommodating to allow a date change for our booking even though the request was made at the last minute. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and clean, with an amazing view of the cityscape that included Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. We absolutely enjoyed our experience at this hotel, and will definitely stay here in future trips.
