A taste of pure luxury in the heart of the tourist area of Beijing. All staff and facilities were excellent. I especially enjoyed the work of the concierge staff who organised three different tours for us.

I have to say that the lobby of this hotel is peculiar, although it’s beautiful it’s really a mall with a hotel dining room and a small check in area on the side, it feels less important than it should. Having said that the staff os excellent and tge service is what you expect from a peninsula hotel, very kind and accommodating. The rooms are very luxurious and comfortable. I would recommend.

The internet is super slow. Almost impossible to use. There was some kind of VIP guests stay at the hotel. The security police people are very rude to our regular guests. Don’t recommend to stay here if the police are all over the hotel and treat the guests like criminals

I was greeted by the guest service officer upon my arrival and led me straight to our room. All transactions , like issuing of keys and copies of passports, were done in the comfort of our suite. Bed was heavenly. And the room was very clean. The lay out of the room is just perfect from the massive bathroom to having their own nook for our luggages.

Unlike other Peninsula Hotels, seemingly a mall-like “lobby”, though Hermes, Chanel and LV are the stores, it still feels like a Mall. Lobby Lounge lost its usual glamour as being a destination in major cities where The Peninsula is located.

The rooms at this hotel are fantastic. Every room is a suite and all controls are on I pads. We were staying for our third wedding anniversary trip and they had a lovely cake and card signed by the staff waiting for us. We had two dinners (the French and Chinese restaurants) and breakfast in the hotel. The food and beverage options are nice but overpriced, but I think it must be a thing in China as other 5 star hotels we visited in the country were the same. This hotel is a haven of calm in a very busy city. I would recommend staying here if you are visiting Beijing.

When you think very hard trying to find something to fault the stay… it means there wasn’t any! The journey started weeks before when the hotel emailed to ask for any request, room arrangement, booking for restaurant etc.. Everything was taken care of without having to stress – if anything it’s quite the opposite. It was like having a second home away from home, and better. Every staff I encountered from front desk, concierge to the cleaning lady I asked direction for, they really uphold The Pen integrity. Nothing more than what you’d expect from The Peninsula

Disappointment in Beijing.
I was very excited to return to this reknown hotel. However, I was rather disappointed. Service left quite a bit to be desired- in the bar & restaurant the lack of attention made the exchanges frustrating. Because we got such a good rate from you, they gave us the absolute smallest space, not small, but nothing that could be called a suite in this all suite hotel. The pre trip communications from the hotel were such that I really looked forward to sharing this with my travel companion, but I would not recommend this hotel to friends again. Intangible issues to some extent, but just not up to the level the Peninsula should be.
