I loved everything about the hotel very high-end in the middle of everything that’s going on in Beijing. Staff is amazing specially the concierge Ina. She is amazing. The only thing I did not like was the water stream in the shower very weak. I have better showers in the motel six.

This can't be a 5 stars hotel.

The mattresses are so worn out, both mattresses in my room sag in the middle. I got bug bites. I've requested to have the sheets changed but it didn't seem happened.

There's a eyesore dirty stain on the floor in the middle of bathroom. Anyone who walks in would have seen it right away.

On my 1st day of check-in, all the 300-ml bottles for shampoo, conditioner, bath gel, etc. were less than 1/4 filled. Does it cost too much to fill up all the bottles? I felt like I was re-using all these stuff from the previous guests. On the 3rd day which was also my last day of staying, all the bottles were empty; they didn't fill up any of the bottles, and the cleaning people did clean the room every day, what did they do?

The only good thing about this hotel is the front desk staff and doorman are nice and helpful.

The staff in the hotel are good and helpful. However, the rooms are old, with furniture and fittings not well maintained. The carpet also had an odour but the staff offered to provide an air purifier so it was manageable. The bathroom had a lack of vanity space and the blinds really has seen better days.
The excellent lighting and the big mirror behind the bathroom door saved the day as the rest of the room especially at the entrance area is really dark.

This hotel is centrally located in Beijing city, close to many attractions. The forbidden city and Wangfujing are within short walking distance. There is also a Subway station right around the corner. All staffs were friendly and helpful: front desk, Bell service, Concierge, housekeeping, fitness center, etc. I highly recommend this place. If you haven’t been to Beijing before, be aware of busy traffic around this area. Electric Bikes do not follow traffic rules.

The hotel itself was beautiful, and our room was spacious and very comfortable. However, we did encounter a slight issue at the Garden Lei restaurant. They did not allow us to charge the meal back to our room, which was a bit inconvenient.

When we tried to pay, the EFTPOS machine requested a six-digit PIN, but our card only has a four-digit one. This led to an awkward situation with three staff members gathered at our table using Google Translate to explain the issue. I kept asking if they could insert the card instead of tapping it, but this was initially not understood.

Eventually, I took the machine, inserted the card myself, entered the four-digit PIN, and the payment went through without any problem. It was a bit embarrassing, but I think the issue could be resolved more easily in the future with clearer communication or a quick manual insertion of the card.

From we exited from the taxi, to registration and entered our room, were so perfect. We had been served by the Ms. Elena Li, Guest Experience Mgr, who was so friendly and explained everything we needed to know.
The breakfast was too many choices and so tasteful, it made us difficult to choose. Our stay in Regent Hotel was so satisfactory and we felt that we didn’t want to leave the room.

We booked 2 twin rooms and had upgraded a twin room to a suite with a fee. The deposit required was high. It was the price of the 2 twin rooms that we paid for a week. The staff were friendly and helpful.
The hotel is situated beside a busy road. In the morning, the roads were jammed and noisy with the honking of cars. The soundproofing of the rooms was bad. Could hear the doors slammed close. In the early mornings starting around 5-6am could hear banging sound, trolley wheels rolling. Night time could hear people quarrelled and road works. Carpets need to be vacuumed more frequently, while the rest of the areas seemed clean. The hotel is centrally located but it is located next to a busy road so travelling needed more time with some detours and more waiting time.

I love this hotel, a truly beautiful property, location is exceptional, just above the Dengshi Kou subway station, walking distance to Wangfujing shopping district. Our room is so clean, we avail the room with breakfast and its the a smart thing to do as their breakfast buffet is so good and so many options. The gym is massive and swimming pool is so nice, with heated jacuzzi etc. But the best thing for this hotel is their staff. I commends their management on what they do for hiring and training as for sure they do have core standards, all of the staff we encounter were so polite and helpful, they always greeted you with a smile and sincerity. Special thanks to their concierge, starting with Paul, Karen, Yina, Eric and Laura, who helps us from the beginning with the tours, transportation and everyday directions. Thanks to the all the breakfast buffet staff and Harry who serve us every morning. Thanks also to the front desk that check us in and out, they also gave us a gift :), thanks to the cleaning staff of our room. I will will definitely recommends this hotel to all my friends and we will definitely go back whenever we go to Beijing.

We stayed for my friend’s birthday. The hotel was very accommodating and the room was incredibly clean and lovely. The only downside was that the air conditioning wasn’t available so our room was too hot to sleep comfortably. The hotel provided a fan, but it was still hotter than we’d prefer.
The Butterfly Brunch was delicious and the lounge service was great. We will definitely be back for both.

Absolutely loved the location! The grand first-floor hall and the modern, clean room made for a pleasant stay. The staff was professional and friendly, ensuring a positive experience. Although my reservation for a room with two beds was initially received as a request rather than a confirmed reservation, the front desk staff quickly accommodated us and provided a room with two beds for me and my 15-year-old son. I would definitely stay here again if I visit Beijing in the future.

Unusual smell, but ok overall

The entire room had a very unusual smell, which I thought was urine. But asking another friend to verify, they thought it was burning rubber. I’m not sure if it was only my room but it got less pronounced throughout my stay, so maybe I adjusted to it.

The bathroom is also in a glass enclosed room with electric shutters. It’s possible to see whoever is in the bathroom and what they are doing, so if you want privacy then probably not a good choice.

Otherwise it’s a nice size room, a bit noisy, and the decor has a slightly dated/traditional feel to it.

Oh, the view was pretty good from the 16th floor.

I booked a staycation at the Regent for a 2 night stay. Sadly upon arrival and check in, the government had mandated all hotel to close their pool, sauna, and steam rooms. Luckily the gym was still open. Due to the services being closed and me not being informed prior to check in, the manager upgraded me to an executive sweet! Everyone at the hotel was very nice, spoke good English, and were very helpful. The breakfast at the hotel was also delicious. Many of the staff even greeted me by name throughout my stay.

It's so convenience for us to visit the historical area . Concierge, front desk & housekeeping staff are polite, friendly and helpful. Ample room size with fruit & free mini bar for first round. Location : excellent especially for first time visitors to Beijing. We arrive by subway from airport - Capitol airport Express 25rmb and 3rmb subway lines and exit at station Dengshikou which is just beside the hotel . Total travel time 45mins. On our last day we return to airport via Airport Bus whose terminus is in front of hotel ( 25rmb each and no tugging of luggage when changing train lines. The Bus departs every hour ). Forbidden City , Wanfujin St are within walking distances less than 30mins slow walk. We took the subway for the rest of historical sites. The conceirge got for us a chauffered car at a reasonable price for whole day use for the trip up north to the Great wall. There are local eateries in front and behind the hotel as well as 24hr convenience stores.
Rooms : Clean and good temperature control ( winter ) The TV a little small for the room size. Full toiletries provided. The mini bar is free for first one time!!!!
Amenities: Enjoyed the well equipped gym and the pools. One pool is heated to 42C which is refreshing since its winter outside. The changing room toilet even has a wet clothes spinner and hot pools
Staff service : excellent and polite from front desk to housekeeping even though we can hardly speak Mandarin.
