Stayed here back in May on my vacation to Budapest. The stay was okay as it had a washing machine and balcony to dry our clothes. The downside was that the bathroom was really small, and it was hard to use the shower head in the bath tub. Also the rails of the shower curtain kept coming off. Overall was a nice stay.

Great locality, close to quality shops, supermarkets and pharmacies. Close to public transport. 15 min. Walk to the Danube for the most panoramic view by night.
Advise taking Uber over Taxis as they have a cheaper rate.
A larger supply of utensils would have prevented overuse of dishwasher as you cannot wash up as there is no sink plug.

I highly recommend Opera Residence for a great, easy stay in Budapest! The host, Krisztián was very helpful in providing comprehensive information about check-in, the apartment itself, and also a lot of very helpful information about Budapest and Hungary.
The apartment was nice and clean, the washing machine was fantastic, and clothes dried very quickly with the clothes rack out on the balcony. The kitchen was great, with plenty of utensils, toaster, coffee maker, kettle, microwave and dishwasher!
The only problem I encountered was the shower drain is possibly a bit blocked. Thanks again for a wonderful stay, Krisztián!

The studio we stayed in was neat and clean but showing its age. Minor maintenance issues were attended to promptly by Krisztian who is very friendly and helpful.
Amenities included kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, full oven and cooktop and small fridge and very basic cooking/eating equipment. That said, equipment was adequate for our needs as we did not cook a meal.
There are several small supermarkets close and a Lidl and large Spar near station, about 10 minutes walk.

Working with hotel staff was always enjoyable/productive. Remote check-in was easy given informative attachment provided. We got lucky with early check-in due to an early checkout and coordination/cooperation of delightful housekeeping staff.

A great location! Hop on Hop Off station close by so as the popular Cathedral in Budapest. Lots of restaurants and supermarket is stone throw away. Unfortunately, the bed linen weren’t changed when we checked in, this is something basic when you are in hospitality industry! But the issue was resolved the following day.

Apartment was much bigger than I expected: I had booked a studio but got an apartment with a separate bedroom, and the main living space was a large area with a kitchen, dining and lounge area. Balcony overlooking an internal courtyard was a bonus: no view obviously but nice to be able to sit outside in the sunshine and have a beer. Great location, walking distance to all attractions (if you're happy to clock up a few miles like I am) and a 10 minute walk from the square where the airport bus runs from. Also right next to a busy street with plenty of restaurants and bars. I was staying here alone and it was quieter going down the street in the opposite direction: as a single female traveller being somewhere I'm unfamiliar with, I would not be happy walking down there at night but anywhere that I needed to go, I could get to via one of the busy streets which I was perfectly comfortable walking down alone. Highly recommended, had a great stay.

Location is great. Apt is spacious and bright. Host was generous and allowed early check in. Dry towels we're in the washer. We are not sure if they were cleaned or not. They do not provide bath soap or shampoo. Washer instructions are not posted in English. If they had looked after these small details, I would have given them excellent rating

It's aweful how this place is noisy. There was almost no difference between an opened or closed window. People smoked in the hallway and the smoke got into the apartment.

- A request for a single extra towel flatly refused. After a question on how to best handle the situation, no advice given.
- The shower head mount was fixed to the wall, not flexible, and broken. This meant that the only way for one to use the shower is to have the jet aimed high and horizontally at the curtain or to hold it the entire time.
- Mixed messaging over the 'welcome drink'. The receptionist said that I could get a complimentary welcome drink (very nice!) and suggested I try the palinka. Upon getting to the bar, they wanted to charge for the palinka (albeit less than normal).

The hotel was probably fine, but we were there in a heat-wave and there's no A/C, so it was quite uncomfortable. It's well located and the staff were friendly, but the beds were not the greatest and there was no A/C during a heatwave, so.. mediocre experience.

Great location, we could walk everywhere. Yet our room was on a quiet courtyard with a small balcony. We felt that we were really a part of the neighborhood, able to do laundry and go to a nearby bakery for croissants.

Clean, good location, inexpensive for all amenitie
The room was clean had a full kitchen, tv worked but only had 1 channel in English which was ok only watched a few minutes before bed. Small working elevator. One tip: Google the address before leaving home and look at location as you might walk by and not see it. I did not have an issue finding it but others might especially after a long day of travelling.

Hidden gem with interesting caveats
Opera residence is situated about a 3 minute walk behind the opera metro station and Budapest opera house. It's in a nice cozy area with quite a good emount of food choices and little places to shop. It's very easy to get to where you want to go because there is also a bus stop about 7 minutes away. Beware of the pay in cash ONLY requirement when settling the bill, along with any other items you might want, like the AC remote control. For families there are an immediate set of stairs to get up but proved to be easy enough with a single stroller. Very ample space with quite an impressively kitted kitchenette. Would absolutely stay there again, just minus our children.

Great value, lovely room, but noisy night...
Room and it's facility were actually lovely and comfortable. Plenty of restaurants and cafe to explore around. However, there was a constant low beat soundsfrom the nearby club all through the night, and it was absolutely annoying. Probably it depends on which room you will stay(mine was studio)but for those who prefer the silence in the night, I do not think this is the option.

Excellent Hotel in the middle of the city. We felt very secure. Very comfortable room.
The staff was very polite and helpfull. You could find easily access to supermarket and food just within 50 meters around there. All stations and tour bus are just a 100-200 meters away.
The only liitle thing is they didn't have an everyday cleaning for our room, but i'm sure that if we ask them to clean our room they would have done so.

Despite a call the day before to inform our late arrival, the hotel did not inform us about the change to their other apartment for no reason. When we arrived our booking was not on the list. it was quite late and disappointing luckily they provided taxi to drop us at their other apartment. They gave us bigger apartment but the beds were not comfortable. Had to wedge the TV plug to keep the TV on. Wifi signal was strong

The hotel is very central, walking distance to many attractions and really close to the metro stations as well. We had a nice time there, the personal was really helpful.

I have stayed at Opera Apartments twice now. It's super convenient to all parts of Budapest and the room is always spacious and comfortable. Though it's not terrible, I do wish the internet was more reliable in the rooms.

We returned to Opera residence for our third stay here and were again very satisfied .The first night we were given a flat accross the street in depandance, which was not very lovely, cold and dark inside.Next morning we could move to the main builiding( tahnks very helpful stuff in the Broadway hostel reception), we allready knew, we got a nice room with balcony in the yard, which was lovely again.Small minus was the couch with very small matress, it was just good for oor kids(8 and 11) but I cant imagine 2 adults sleeping on that. But again, for the money we spent we got a nice, clean , well equiped flat just 2 steps from opera, very very central in very nice neighbour.We will definitely return back soon

Very convenient stay for our 4 guests visiting us in occasion of a wedding in Basilica. Every of them were satisfied. 2 middle aged adults with their 14 and 17 years old grandchildren. Nice room, kitchen and bath. quiet environment, near public transport. Unexpensive!

Very good location, well designed and very clean rooms. Good and fast Internet, which is important for Hungary. Rooms are not equipped with telephone, but it's not necessary because of the Internet access (skype or other VoIP services will allow you to communicate without problem).
However very noisy ambiance, both from the street, and rooms with inside view, because of the noisy gate, which is closed after 22:00 for security reason. Hotel staff well comprehend English, and will assist you with your needs.

Nice and cleanish apartment. Spacious, furniture new and clean. However, cleaning had not been done properly as there was A LOT of dust under the bed & behind furniture etc. Also, the windows let through all the noice. Although we stayed on the top floor, there was quite a loud noise and I woke up to it nearly every night. We stayes for a week. I would recommend.

All the amenities you need in central location
Great staff and sweet apartments. Reasonable, especially in winter. Close to the nightlife. Not my favorite neighborhood in Budapest, but for the weekend it can't be beat if you are a night owl who values privacy, cleanliness, and convenience. Every staff member was polite, courteous, and helpful. Must be a Hungarian thing. Try practicing your Hungarian... the natives like to help out and laugh too. Thanks for great memories. close to restaurants and sight seeing. Very old but fairly well maintained. The reception people are great and very accomodating. Traffic sound too loud where we were located but ear plugs helped.

The room that i had booked was for 2 people even though i travel alone the reason for this is that need a bit off comfort. the double bed that was requested was non existence as it was a sofa bed that folds down not amused. the TV did not work and took 3 days to get one that worked. and reported that 2 light bulbs that needed replacing were not even replaced after 24 hrs and had to report them again. Bulb in toilet which is separate in darkness and entrance as well. if you would like i have Photo's to prove what im complaining about regarding the so called Double bed. i will not be using that it again or recommending it to anyone else

Great option for Budapest
this is a great option for travelers who have a few days in Budapest. The location is great - so handy to metro station and many great cafes in surrounding area. our studio apartment was quite large and was really comfortable and well furnished. one of the reasons we chose this venue was the inclusion of washing machine and dryer in each apartment - very welcomed when you have been on the road for a while. We didn't have a dryer (as advertised) but we certainly got lots of use from the washing machine. Signage at street level could be improved as it's not entirely clear that check-in is via the hostel (whose staff are very helpful). other friends stayed in another apartment building and were disappointed.

The value in this hotel was outstanding. For a very reasonable price, I found myself in an apartment spacious and accomodating enough to live in permanently. There was even a washing machine (no dryer - but a laundary right next to the office). The location is very good - not too far from the ritzy shopping area and the Opera of course. My only criticism was what amounts to little things. The staff was very very nice and the internet was free - but despite my best efforts, I could only get a single towel out of them in 3 days and there was a somewhat apathetic attitude about this - \"wait till the cleaning lady comes in, wait till tomorrow, I don't have any at the desk and can't leave\" etc. and only the cleaning lady knows hot to operate the tv's complex remote apparently. But these are minor compared to great value of the place. I would stay again for sure. A little trick to find the hotel, but walk up the tile steps and thru a gate into a courtyard and there you are.

Budapest's hidden gem - \"an awesome apartment\"
We stayed at the Opera Residence Apartment in Budapest a few weeks back for 5 days. After staying in mid-rate hotels in Prague and Vienna it was nice to have a larger space to stay in for the time we were in Budapest. The place was in a really good location right around the corner from the Budapest Opera, and lot's of lounges, bars very close by. The place itself is managed by a joining mgmt. company hosting Hostel's and they also have a few Apartments in this complex.
The Studio apartment was more like a 1-bedroom in that there was a separate bedroom open to the living room and a nice sized kitchen with all updated amenities. And both a shower / sink room with washing machine, and a seperate room for toilet. I really liked this place. We arrived and brought groceries for the week for when we were not sight seeing and were able to feel like we were sort of living here for a bit. The only negative would be that the bed itself was not that comfortable, but good enough. Also the staff at Broadway Hostels were quite friendly and all spoke English. Lastly all the Thermal Baths houses were awesome to visit. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Budapest for any length of time.

We had a wonderful stay in this comfortable hostel. It was clean, roomy, and conveniently located to attractions in the city. Price was right as well. Staff were accommodating and pleasant. This isn't a fancy hotel. It's a hostel. Bring your own soap and shampoo and a sense of adventure. You won't be disappointed!

The young people running this hotel were so helpful. And the position was great. My only concern was that my television didn't work for the whole of my stay .. and because they are privately owned apartments, it couldnt be repaired.

Disappointed overall but some good points
This hotel/apartment complex doesn't have it's own reception so you have to use the one for the hostel next door. On arrival the hostel claimed I needed to pay, even though I had paid online in advance obviously but this is the problem as they are covering the hotel so don't have access to payments received and sorted this the next day but quite a shock on arrival. Room was clean but did not give 2 proper beds as requested. I had the double bed and my friend had to sleep on the most uncomfortable camp bed so don't think that's fair when they say there are 2 beds in the room. Also they don't provide any toiletries at all such as shower gel etc. so had to go and buy those locally. The hostel staff were nice but obviously a very different level of service and they kept wanting to charge extra (to hold bags after check out etc.) as they are only helping the other hotel so this hotel needs to sort out their own customer service for paying customers. Best thing was it was very centrally located. This would be fine for couples but not good for groups or friends as only one bed then a sofa bed or camp bed provided,

Great hotel right in the best part of Budapest. This hotel apartment had all the conveniences to make a stay pleasant, cooking facilities, washing machine and frig. Facility was very secure and the staff pleasant and helpful.

This was a full apartment with separate bedroom, big living room, full kitchen and bathroom including washing machine. The staff are helpful and courteous. The location is central, close to restaurants, sights and public transit.

This \"hotel\" in fact consists of a set of simply but well set up apartments that are rented out through the reception in the adjacent hostel. The building is new or recently renovated and the apartments are well equipped (refrigerator, microwave, washing machines) with contemporary furniture. The location is great for exploring the city with lots of great restaurants nearby. Highly recommended particularly because of the value you get for your money (and because traveling with kids, we always like to stay in apartments where possible).

Erittäin hyvällä hinta-laatusuhteella oleva majoituspaikka Budapestissa. Sijainti oli hyvä, moni nähtävyys ja Budan puoli kävelymatkan päässä. Huoneistot itsessään siistejä ja hyvin varusteltuja, ainoa puute näin kesällä oli ilmastoinnin puute. Onneksi huoneistosta löytyi kuitenkin tuuletin, jolla sai viilennystä huoneeseen.

Pelo baixo custo da diária o apartamento atende bem as necessidades, é espaçoso, tem cozinha completa, banheiro e lavabo, além de ser muito bem localizado, próximo ao metrô e perto de varias atrações. O ponto mais fraco foi a ausência de ar condicionado ou até mesmo um ventilador, estava muito quente em Budapeste e foi difícil dormir nestas condições. O colchão também não era muito confortável.
