The location of the hotel is excellent for bars and restaurants, all transport within 100mt. The hotel itself is in good repair, the breakfast is excellent. We booked a comfort room which had a lack of plug outlets, and no brewing facility. Although reception have available.The room was compact.

Room and staff were ok. Try to make it clear about your room location when booking, better without going through the stairs. A bit far from main sightseeing objects, you need to take uber going there. There are some restaurants nearby which are walkable.

Located just a stones throw from the centre of town it is a good balance to see all the sights. The superior room was comfy. We did however have a view of another derelict building but the bathroom and shower were brillant. The bed was comfy, clean and tidy. Breakfast although contenental it sets you up for a day exploring all that budapest has to offer. Staff are polite and very helpful. Yes i would stay again.

We throughly enjoyed our stay at Medos hotel. It’s in a really convenient location with easy links to different attractions in the city and places to eat and drink. The room was clean, well ventilated and spacious. The food options for breakfast were a little limited but everything we did have was very tasty! The staff were so attentive and kind, lovely service. I look forward to coming back when I’m next in Budapest.

This hotel is in a very good central location, plenty of dining and shops nearby. Also just a 20 minute walk to the river for stunning views of the Parliament building. Breakfast was modest and good for a quick bite before exploring the city.

Got new big room. Towles are old and hard. Breakfast is ok the coffee need to be improve. Over all it's good hotel. The policy of the hotel not to change towles only once in a 3 days. If change every day they will charge. But in my case the didn't charge. Thanks. I had a issue in the shower. They fix it right away. Good service

A fab location to stay, easy accessibility to all major attractions in Budapest and excellent location for the tram and Metro links.
Room was small but no issue as all we did was wash and sleep there. We paid a little more for a balcony on 9th floor and the views across the city skyline were impressive.
Room was lovely and warm whilst it was in minus temperatures outside, plenty of hot water, powerful shower, soap and shampoo provided, tea and coffee with kettle in room, complimentary water in fridge, safe in room, plenty of hangers, bed comfortable. Breakfast from 7 to 10 and plentiful, a couple of hot choices like scrambled egg, bacon, sausage, pancakes and chicken nuggets, these were alternated. Meats and cheeses, pastry’s, bread, cereals, fruit and yogurts available also. Tea, coffees and juices available at breakfast.
Check in was very easy and very friendly staff to greet us.
Would certainly recommend and would certainly return if we visit Budapest in the future.
Excellent value for money.

Medos is in a great location and walkable to many of tourist spots. The park and square are decorated so beautifully for Christmas! Room was tidy and modern. We liked we could use Netflix and Disney on TV. Staff very helpful and stored our suitcases after check out as had a late flight. It’s just off a main road, however still very quiet. Only thing I would say is bathroom a bit tired and outdated but still useable and lovely warm shower/bath. Would definitely recommend and great price!

Hotel was in an excellent location. Easily walkable to everything we wanted to do. We had a twin room and unfortunately they were very soft and very noisy whenever someone turned over in their sleep. We only stayed one night so not worth complaining about. Staff were friendly and breakfast an added bonus although with lots of coffee shops nearby probably not necessary.

Medos was good a few minor issues, shelf possibly removed from bathroom in both ours and sons rooms, fixing left there. Hairdryer cut out easily and pass card for electricity needed reissue several times. But the staff we helpful willing to help in restaurant and rooms very clean.

Our room was on the 7th floow with a nice view. The room was modern and spacious. There was limitation of toiletries, i.e., it would be great to have a shampoo. Breakfast was nice and delicious and the service during breakfast was very professional. Great location to the city centre and easily accessible from the airport.

- close to Andrassy Utca and a 15-20 minutes walk to city center (Vorosmarty Ter);
- spacious room with two king beds
- plenty of food and beverages locations around the hotel
- close to public transport facilities
- a big minus: lack of parking places ... I think the hotel has some lots underground but the reception stuff doesn't promote it and, surprising, doesn't alarm you to the fines that you can get very easily for parking right in front of the hotel's door !

I am a frequent visitor to Budapest and I constantly choose the Medos hotel for its location in the city, its affordable rooms with terrace views of the city. It is my favorite location for easy access to tourist destinations and access to the metro for getting around. It is hard to find a better hotel in Budapest.

I liked that the hotel was close to everything you needed, food etc.
The room was clean and fresh, somethings didn’t work too well but we did have a budget room so ok.
The lift didn’t go to our floor (7th) so had stairs to climb with heavy bags.
I didn’t think the parking was explained on arrival very well but a different receptionist the next morning was very helpful.

lobby smelled of sewage and the breakfast buffet was poor but my main complaint was the service. it wasn't explained to me that my room was up a flight of stairs after getting out the lift (and no signage). wasted time searching and ended up having to go back down to reception. My main gripe with this very poor hotel was that I ordered a breakfast to go for my 530am departure - a service which they say they provide I went down to reception 520 to check out. at 0528 reception sent the nightporter to check with the kitchen on the status of the breakfast (what no phones?) at 0535 with NO BREAKFAST in sight, and no idea when it might arrive, and in fear of missing my flight to London I had to depart without. Not as much as an apology from reception - she just tried to cover her own back by saying 'I asked them to do it'. Not a good look. I would never use this palce again and would not advise anyone to use it

A good base in Budapest

This hotel was simply a base to overnight in in Budapest, and adequate for that. This place is nothing flash - simply a bed and bathroom. The reception was friendly and competent. The surrounding area is fantastic. Although parking was off-site, you can easily park and walk for the rest of your time in Budapest. I'd recommend this hotel if you simply need a bed to go back to after some serious Budapest time.

Okay place.

The pictures of the hotel make it appear modern but it’s a very old building. I was on the third floor. The AC stopped working halfway through my stay but luckily it wasn’t too hot. Service was okay too. One of the night audits, elderly man, was very friendly. Location was pretty good- walkable. I would stay again if I had to but it wouldn’t be my first choice.

The hotel is dated and the room is looking worn.

The positive was a convenient location, very smooth check in, tea/coffee making and complimentary bottled water on arrival.

The negatives was the shower head was spraying everywhere and there wasn’t daily housekeeping which meant I had to get towels from a disgruntled receptionist who finally assisted.
