We loved the drinks and food at Sheraton. The rooms are bit outdated. We had sea view Biomed originally and when we were upgraded we did lose our view. The lobby is very modern but the rooms need little bit of an update. Overall was not a bad experience but was the price point is liftle overpriced for what is being offered.

Terrible , don’t ever try to stay at this location. plus its not clean they dont clean untill you asked them and they just make your bed , and put two towels , dirty carpets , i got cheated for 160$ they might tell you for club room laundry is free and at the end they will charge you. They lied me and changed a room that I requested before and gave me a terrible room with very poor service, air condition doesn’t work properly . Rooms stink. So in General for someone who spent 2000 dollars for 5 days i will strongly advise you not to take this hotel at all. They told me take a club room and the laundry is free for club rooms and during checkout they told me 160 $ for laundary. Terrible Terrible Terrible.

Otel çok eskiydı odanın mobilyaları halısı eski ve kirli görünüyordu. Lambader kırıktı dik durması için sehpaya dayamak zorunda kaldık. Tek güzel yanı manzarası. Havuzunu kullandım. Havuzu sıcak ve güzeldi. Kahvaltı kullandığım restaurant oldukça şık ve temizdi. Çok fazla çeşit yoktu ama kahvaltı güzeldi. Otel misafiri olarak 400 tl vale ücreti alınması da çok hoş değil.

Staff Went Back on Their Word
Although the staff initially said they would assist with an early check-out by one day, they later refused my request and charged the full amount. I expected the hotel to be more understanding and to honor their word.

The room was small for 3 people but beautiful with a great view. Was not impressed with manager offering a suite on the first floor with no view as an alternative without being asked and it was unacceptable. Then I was charged twice for the room.

The hotel is a well kept upscale property reasonably priced with many amenities. It is located near the a marina, access to the subway and local shops and restaurants. Access to popular sites (Blue mosque, Hagia Sophia…) can be accessed within 30 minutes via subway.

-The pillows and quilts were not cotton. (Probably a fiber-nylon mixture) For this reason, the whole family stayed in bed until the morning covered in sweat/water. Since my little son is allergic, his whole body turned red.
-Although I mentioned it before coming to the hotel and asked the reception, we repeatedly asked for an extra child bed for my 8-year-old son. (I had also mentioned this before coming to the hotel) Although the reception said they would send it, it did not arrive until 12 at night. We slept 3 people in the same bed.
Also;
We experienced a minibar shock before leaving the hotel..
We did not expect it to be this expensive. And we didn't see a list of prices for chocolate snacks and drinks in the minibar in the room.
At least this should have been given as a list in a visible place, as it is done in every hotel.
Other problems;
We went down to the pool and they said that swimming caps are mandatory and charged 200 TL each. We had to swim with difficulty fitting a small swimming cap made only for children, made in China, in a simple single type (there is no big choice). We couldn't swim much because of the strong smell.
Also, the pool was extremely chlorinated.. Our eyes burned for hours.we decided to have tea in the lobby and they charged 105 TL each. While drinks are free in many 5-star hotels,

During our first visit, we had to sleep on a rusty and dirty surface due to the change of direction of our pillow at night, and despite reporting the situation in the lobby, no response was received. The photo of the relevant pillow is attached.
During our last stay, as soon as we checked in late, we encountered unacceptable cleaning deficiencies such as sticky marks in the room, dried urine marks in the toilet and used cigarette butts in the shower. Although these issues were reported to you, only temporary and inadequate cleaning was provided and the problems were not completely resolved. As a result, my girlfriend avoided using the toilet, it was not possible to move comfortably in the room without shoes and we could not benefit from your shower. (The butt was not taken despite the cleaning lady taking a photo of it) Considering that we stayed in a good room in a 5-star hotel, we cannot accept this decrease in standards. Accordingly, I request a refund for our accommodation.

On ne voulait pas me rendre ma caution car soit disant au début c’était parce que je n’avais pas réglé mes nuits d’hôtels alors que vous payez à l’arrivé puis on me demande le reçu de la caution pour le remboursement alors qu’ils ont tous dans les reçus informatiques. Si je n’avais pas quelqu’un qui parlait turc, je n’aurai jamais pu récupérer ma caution puis m’auront refacturer mes nuits. Je vais le faire remonter à la direction. Attention !

\"Disappointing Stay: Far From a High-End Experienc
While the lobby of the Sheraton Ataköy is impressive and welcoming, the experience quickly deteriorates once you step into the rooms. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the rooms left much to be desired. The bathroom floor was dirty and had visible stains, while the shower’s glass rails were rusted, which was quite disappointing for a hotel of this caliber.
Room service and cleaning were also subpar. On the second day, the hair shampoo and body wash were left empty and were only refilled after we called twice to request them. Similarly, used cups were taken but not replaced with clean ones until we followed up.
For a hotel branded as high-end, these oversights are unacceptable. The level of attention to detail and service does not justify the price or the reputation of the Sheraton brand. I would not recommend this hotel for those seeking a premium experience.

The Sheraton disappointed from the start by not honoring the room I reserved, offering a much smaller one instead—a clear lack of professionalism. Housekeeping was inconsistent; I had to remind them to replace towels and refresh essentials in the bathroom. Overall, the experience felt far below Sheraton standards, more like a three-star hotel than the quality you’d expect.
