At the Church of La Madonna Del Lauro, turn right and follow signs for the beach (spiaggia). Arriving by train: From Naples Piazza Garibaldi station, take the Circumvesuviana train to Meta (approximately 1 hour, with departures every 20 minutes).
From Meta station, take the first Circumvesuviana Line A bus toward the beach, or contact the hotel for shuttle service.

Best thing about this property is that a local restaurant, Tico Tico, is within a short walking distance. My family and I did not feel very welcome here at this property. It is more for locals. The first day at the beach was horrible because the beach and the water were filthy. Granted that is beyond the hotel’s control, nevertheless our daughter even commented on the trash. If you want to have either a first line lounger and umbrella you have to pay 30 euro per person. 20 euro if you want second line on the beach. However, we noticed non-hotel individuals entering the ‘private beach’. The rooftop turns into a club on Wednesdays and Saturdays with very loud music. Also, the walls are paper thin, you can hear your neighbors. Our superior triple room was ‘tight’. Our queen bed was actually two twins put together. The food at the hotel was mediocre at best. When we arrived the two ladies at the front desk ignored us for about a good 10 minutes- one was on the phone and the other just sat there looking bored. It is hard to get to and you have to learn how to use the bus system, which luckily is easy to navigate and the best cost option. Taxis are ridiculously expensive. And most request cash payments. If you don’t have cash the drivers will gladly take you to an ATM. Sorrento was lovely and I wished we had stayed there instead.

Amazing hotel, great spot away from the bustle up on the hill. Very picturesque with amazing ocean views. Great onsite dining and views from cocktail bar at sunset are awesome. Room was clean and comfortable.

Property was in a beautiful spot. Right on the beach and the Seaview room was breathtaking. The restaurant downstairs has an amazing selection of seafood which we enjoyed. Everything was extremely clean and polished. There was a nice touch of being greeted by a staff member who brought our bags upstairs, opened our room and asked if we needed anything to settle in. The hotel’s shuttle bus service to Sorrento was helpful, and the fact the public bus stop is only a few minutes walk down the road was very convenient. The only thing we didn’t enjoy was there isn’t much in walking distance without waking up heaps of stairs and hills to get to the town centre, you need to get the bus. The price to and from the accomodation and Naples airport or train station was 160 euro and 230 euro… so organise the bus services as soon as possible! We would happily stay here again (and really look forward to it).

We had a fantastic time in this hotel in April. Lovely private beach and great room with balcony. Most of all the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Francesca in particular helped sort all of our trips and queries before and during our stay. It is about 30 minutes from Sorrento centre and much quieter which we like, but transport links are excellent and very cheap. The hotel even provided some lifts for free. Highly recommend it and will likely return ourselves in busier season.

Everyone from this facility was very nice and helpful. From suggestions where to go and how to get there . The Bus to the train station or Sorrento was literally a 3 min walk. Everything we ate was fresh and delicious The free breakfast buffet was also fabulous with an option of a made to order omelette or eggs . The location was stunning over looking the ocean with a private beach. Free shuttle to the train station and Sorrento where as everyone else charges a fee. Very safe area. Definitely recommend

The room was oceanfront and very clean and roomy. They offered a free shuttle to downtown Sorrento. They have onsite valet parking but it's 15 euros surcharge, it was worth it. Breakfast was very nice also. I would stay here again!

We stayed 4 nights and had a sea view room which was wonderful to fall asleep to the waves crashing .We took in breathtaking sunsets from our balcony!Our room was bright ,cheery ,quiet and very relaxing.The hot buffet breakfast was very delicious with many items to choose from and located in an area where one could sit back with coffee and enjoy the sea views .The kitchen staff and chefs were pleasant and kind and great cooks! .The hotel staff Francesca was a delight to work with! She organized our tour ,pick ups ,and gave us valuable information for sightseeing also.We explored Meta and ate the best pastry, considered the best pastry in the world ! We agree! The hotel offers free shuttles to Sorrento .The hotel was the perfect place to be by the ocean and to take the tours to the Amalfi coast and Capri.My husband and I would stay definitely stay here again!

What sets this property apart are the staff. Honestly, when I say they go above and beyond it’s a service like nothing I’ve experienced in my life. Traveling from Canada and this being my first time in Italy, the staff did so much to support us.

The staff was amazing at this gorgeous hotel!! So friendly and helpful! The suggestion of Tiko Tiko for supper was exceptional. We enjoyed a very relaxed Italian dinner and were amazed at the locals who dined near us and showed so much compassion and love for one another!! We had had the wonderful pastas, the steak (which was cooked to perfection), the profiteroles (a MUST have) and the lambursco! The amazing breakfast at the hotel each morning was divine! The staff parks your car for you and then gets it out each time you need it. The view from our room was so beautiful, especially at sunset! We will go back again!!!!

Beautiful spot right on the ocean with great views. The room itself was perfect and cozy with a balcony overlooking the water. It was a little more of a secluded area which kept it quiet, to get to town a bus was right at the bottom of the hill. There was a couple restaurants close by at the bottom of the hill as well if you didn’t want to go to town.

Overall good hotel, only issue was there was a wedding on one of the nights we were there and the reception was held above our room. All night the music was bumping through the walls and ceiling, plates smashing, footsteps/jumping& dancing etc. other than that the staff was Excellent very kind and helpful

This was the perfect hotel to end our 2 week long Italy vacation. It is perfectly peaceful and an amazing reprieve from busy tourist cities. The bus stop is just down the street from the hotel and is an easy 20 minute bus ride to Sorrento. The sea-view room is worth the upgrade and the room itself was very cute and clean. The hotel restaurant was one of our favorite meals the entire trip and we very affordable. Very much recommend this sweet hotel in the sweet town of Meta.

What an AMAZING hotel! I plan on staying here anytime I go to the Amalfi Coast area! Out of all of the hotels we stayed at, including the Grand Hotel Cocumella this is by FAR the best! You are close enough to stay here and do a day trip to Sorrento and take the ferry to Positano or Amalfi. The breakfast and dinners are amazing, the easy access to the private beach and the perfect place to swim in the ocean. I would give them 10 stars if I could! The staff is incredible too!

The hotel was clean, the food was great and the beach was fenomenal after a day of walking go the the beach was the best, they closed at 7 but the beach next door is open til late. Amazing service from the receptionists - never experienced such attention, even before we arrived. Hotel was great, located on the sea front in a very calm area.
The only negative side is that they seemed to cater for some coach groups which made the breakfast room and restaurant feel more like a cafeteria rather than a high quality cosy place. However, not very far away, less than a 10 minute walk were the most amazing restaurants on the edge of the beach.

We're typically easy-going people who don't complain but trust me when I say not, DO NOT stay here. My boyfriend and stayed here for 3 nights and all 3 of those nights were awful. The location is inconvenient and it takes you at least 20 mins via bus to get into the main part of Sorrento.
The first night we got there, they tried to put us in a room that was not what we paid for. This room was right next to the main road going in and of the area. The amount of honking and road noise is a lot. The room smelt like mildew and there were a number of spiders in the room. You could also hear a ton of noise from the kitchen staff at ALL hours of the night- they were incredibly inconsiderate.
2nd night: we got moved into a new room- we thought it was going to be great until we got home from our day out and realized they were hosting a private wedding event on the rooftop RIGHT above our room. Not only was it really loud, it lasted until past midnight. We were not warned about this at all. We also now couldn't use the rooftop bar as it was reserved for only wedding guests- that was one of the main reasons we booked the place.
They have essentially no allergen friendly items for breakfast (we are dairy-free) and we had to pay $150 to a transfer from the airport back to the hotel which is outrageous.
The hotel and Expedia wouldn't compensate us for any of our stay- we're pretty disappointed in both parties.
Save yourself and stay somewhere else. I would never recommend this place.

If you get to meta train station there are shuttles there to take you to the hotel for 4 euros very convenient. Instead of walking all the way down with luggage. We figured out that you cant use apps for taxi. Also there is an elevator that we didnt know of until the day we left lol. Starts from the top where the bus stop is to the bottom.

Being at the bottom of a cliff ,to go anywhere(other than the beach) you have to get to the top . choices local bus , hotel shuttle, taxi , pickup from the adventure you're engaged in or walk . Best option for a SELF guided day trip , hotel shuttle to the train station 2euro pax then train to Sorrento (adult single 1:40 euro) return trip 2:80 .

I will never forget staying here! The staff was so helpful and friendly. The location was to die for. Absolutely stunning. I wish we could have stayed a week! The view is so gorgeous off the balcony. We rented chairs right on the water on the beach of the hotel and it was so private and gorgeous. The dining was great and it was perfect. Highly recommend staying here in Meta, the hotel beach can't be beat along the Sorrento coast. It's also away from Sorrento so you get a cozier feel. The beds were a little too firm but that seems to be pretty common in all the hotels we stayed at in Europe. I did find a comforter that was soft the last day, in the closet and that would have been lovely to use. We can't wait to go back and easily swim in the Med again! Thank you to the entire hotel staff!

Not easy to find using Apple Maps, suggest Google maps which got us to door. Francesca was very helpful. We enjoyed beach bar and the restaurant. Hint: let staff park car in underground hotel garage. The drive is extremely steep.

We enjoyed our time by the gorgeous sea at this full service hotel. It has been thoughtfully updated with a clean white and grey palette. The bathroom fixtures are nice and new, but the shower glass needs to be grouted so it doesn’t leak water all over the floor. The breakfast is fantastic! The dinners a la carte are good, but the evening after pasqua, we felt the waiter pushed us to order what had been overstock. It wasn’t great.

The Giosue a Mare is a beautiful little spot, the rooms are adequate, the staff are certainly the highlight as this is a family run hotel. The scenery around the hotel is tranquil and nice, the rooms were a bit dated, but I think the overall value is there. No pool, your sorta landlocked as to where you can go and Meta is no where close to Naples as indicated in the maps of the area. It cost us 150.00 euros to get there by taxi from the train station.

The hotel itself is amazing. We traveled in October which the season is closed so the restaurant was only open for breakfast not dinner. The private beach was also closed. There is a public beach 2 minute walk which is nice. You do have to pay for that beach. Nowhere was that information noted during time of booking. Getting from Meta train to hotel was an 18 minute walk with suitcases. No taxis at train station and hotel couldn’t accommodate transportation. Bus was available but would not stop since we had luggage.

This was a great stop. You have to pay extra for the beach access (EU20) but it was very relaxing and water was warm - lots of sea glass! We enjoyed seeing the cruise ships come in and getting to swim in such hot weather!

Overall was a great stay. The hotel is in a great location, cute little town with almost everything you need. But if you want to go into the other towns nearby for dinner, make sure you rent a car or a bike... The hotel was nice, the room was perfect and the scenery was beautiful. Overall the staff was very helpful, minus us having asked for extra towels and they never arrived. Also, the airport transfer was 120 euro, not 90 as advertised. The town is a very cute little town, very easy to figure out the bus/trains.

Staff were lovely, the view was beautiful and the breakfast plentiful. but hotel was still having building work completed and the private beach had a digger on it. The restaurant was closed and the beds were very uncomfortable. They are making improvements to the hotel and I’m sure it will be lovely when completed but at present it is a work in progress.
