The bed has bugs. i only realized when I woke up and my arms were itching and my sleep was disturbed.
No air conditionning in the room I was in, we were forced to open the window and so mosquitoes came in and added even more bumps to my skin.
No hand soap + towel rack is rusty af.
Would not recommend and will definitely not stay there again.
The only reason this has 2 stars is because the staff working there are lovely and helpful.

Bedbugs, Bites, and a Terrible Experience

I strongly advise against staying at Seven Hostel. Unfortunately, my experience was ruined by a severe bedbug infestation. I woke up with multiple itchy, painful bites (+20) and was horrified to find bedbugs crawling in the bed. I even captured a few in a bottle as proof.

I immediately reported it to the staff, but the response was indifferent and unhelpful. No apology, no urgency, and no proper action taken. I had to discard some of my belongings to avoid bringing the infestation home, and the stress and discomfort ruined part of my trip.

Cleanliness and basic hygiene should be a minimum standard—this place failed miserably. I’ve reported the issue to the appropriate travel and health platforms and strongly urge others to avoid this hostel until they properly address their pest problem.

This place located piano area , nowhere close to any other transportation so I had to spent 35 euros for taxi . That’s my fault that I didn’t aware the area, The worst part didn’t even started yet,
Shared shower room and washroom are small only hobbits can fit. I choose the the 6 bunk bed mixed gender room with 12 ppl . They are snoring like hippo I couldn’t sleep at all. And it was the biggest feast for all the bedbugs in the world. I got 23 bites all of my body it hurts and itchy like job in the Bible , I need to see doctor to get steroids. I spent more money than actual accommodation.
Nothing against staff. Just they had to change whole facility. My whole sorento experience was none stop scratching . Thank you Seven hostel.

Their version of air conditioning is just a fan placed on the floor meant to cool four people in one room and does nothing for the humidity. Washrooms are small and have no where to put your things when getting ready in the morning/at night. If you arrive later in the evening you are charged a late fee that must be payed in cash and there is not staff in the building 24/7.

I was under the impression I booked a single room, I even called to confirm with the property in advance. When I arrived they told me no I was in a 12 bed mixed dormitory… not the end of the world and may have been a mistake on my end.

When I arrived in my room I found the AC did not work in 34 Celsius weather… the plug by my bed was so high I could not even charge my phone. When I addressed these issues the staff were no help. I ended up having to book a hotel in the area last second as these conditions were not comfortable to stay in.

There was black mold in one of the bathrooms. The bathrooms are not cleaned. They sweep but that’s about it. The location is good. The staff was good. They have free breakfast. They have cheap dining options. It would’ve been a good stay if it wasn’t for the bathrooms.

Nice place, not just for the young!

We stayed in a private room, which was nice. The place was clean and in an impressive building. Being in our upper 40s, we were somewhat older than most of not all folks here, but didn't feel out of place!

There is a nice rooftop bar serving a decent range of drinks after 7pm. They also do food up there, although don't expect it to look like the photos on the walls in the main courtyard room downstairs. It comes served in eco unfriendly plastic, and certainly isn't as gourmet! There is a dj there each Friday evening.

The location is OK. It's around 25 minutes walk in the heat with a loaded bag or 20 without from Sorrento. Or 5 minutes from Sant Agnello train station, although the trains from Sorrento aren't the most reliable. There are a number of local restaurants close by. For us, the slight inconvenience of being further from the centre of Sorrento was not a problem and we'll worry the lower price of the room.

Several aspects were not eco-friendly. For example, the soap dispensers in the bathroom were empty and soap provided in individual plastic packets, the tiny amount in each shampoo sachet making the amount of plastic packaging even worse (Covid can't be the reason for this failure to use the dispensers, given the way breakfast was served and lack of other measures across the hostel) while the aircon could have been replaced by less energy inefficient fans.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. LOWER PRICE NOT WORTH THE BRUTAL SERVICE
I paid for 5 nights and left after only one night

What wasn’t poor about this place.
He’s a list of things that were supposed to be included but weren’t
1.Housekeeping
The shelves in my room were so covered in dirt and dust that a quick swipe of my finger left a thick sticky grimy layer. I had to wipe it down with wet naps before putting anything on it
2. Bar
No bar was open
3. Snack/Deli Bar

4. Restaurant
The restaurant was also closed but the owners and employees were kind enough to make a big meal for each other and sit down in front of the guests and eat while they told us the kitchen was closed

Since there was no food available I had to run to the grocery store and grab some stuff to make a salad before they closed. On the way back I called reception since they were closing soon and asked if they could leave a fork out for me. They said the owner left with the kitchen keys and that they had no way of getting one for me.
So when I arrived back I told them I was super irritated that none of the advertised service were available and since I couldn’t get anything to eat my food Id just have to throw away all the perishable parts of what I had gotten. After throwing them out one of the staff told me she could have grabbed me one.
The service here is deplorable and the room was disgusting

Really nice hostel

This place is really nice, with the big common area, spacious rooms and bathrooms, I think it has been renovated very recently. Each bed has its own power source, light and you can use your own locker to keep your stuff protected. The bathrooms attached to the room are big- with the 3 showers and toilets, really no queue on the morning. You can also use the public bathroom.
Breakfast is rather sweet but lovely: a lot of cakes, croissants, some fruits and yoghurt, tea and coffee, jam, chocolate cream. Great as for the hostel!
The only drawback is the location, outside of Sorrento, but the walk is okay- and takes around 30mins to the city. You can also take a bus for €1,6 (ticket from the driver but have the exact money ready), so not a big deal. I recommend this place.

Needs to more activities and energetic staff.

Nice, clean, and reasonably close to the main centre. Wish staff are bit more attentive and more out there with bit of energy to help out and make your stay enjoyable especially the bar staff. Their attitude towards work are just I will help you because I have to. Hospitality requires more then that. You need to love what you do because customers can see it when you play on your phone or yawning or customer is waiting to grab your attention. There is no Realy any vibe in the hostel. Wish there is bit more activities that hostel can orgnasie even simple walking tour together where people can meet with one another. Hostel requires more then just a clean bed and great facilities. It requires staff energy and wanting to be there as well as activities for the hostel to organise. It doesn't have to be loud and noise but something simple.

Not bad, but not great either.

We booked a double room, but ended up in a 6 bed dorm for ourselves. This meant we had loads of space, but the dorms are perhaps in generally poorer condition than the double rooms overall. Unfortunately, we shared the bathroom with an army of ants which was somewhat unpleasant.

The rooftop area is a great space, but not really utilised very well. They prohibit food and drink up there too. Why not put a bar, some seating and a shaded area up there, play some music and make a feature out of it? The location leaves this hostel a little isolated, and although food is advertised all day, when we asked for lunch, we were advised there was no chef on duty. As there isn’t much close by, this meant a 10-15 minute walk to the beach for some food.

The staff were lovely, and as accommodating as possible so credit to them. Overall though, I would recommend finding somewhere in Sorrento itself.

We stayed in a double room with ensuite. The room was comfortable and pleasant.
We thought the included breakfast was respectable - cereal, croissants, toast-biscuits and cake as well as juice, tea and so on. It's not a first class breakfast, but it was a fair range for a hostel and there was plenty to go around - except for perhaps the cake, everything was replenished as needed for late-risers.
We ate at the hostel one evening as well, where there was again a fair range of choices, although the portions were a little smaller than we would have liked. Mostly around €8 a meal though, so not bad considering. About 10 minutes walk from the hostel you can reach a main street with a number of restaurants and local eateries for a broader range of choices.
As mentioned a million times in other reviews, the hostel is a good half-hour's walk from Sorrento. But for most hostellers, a bit of a stroll to the centre is unlikely to be a problem unless the stumble back home in the early hours of the morning is more likely to be of concern. And even then, it feels like a safe area to walk around in at night.

The hostel was very nice, the bedroom was big and comfortable. The bathroom was very clean but the showers doors were a bit translucent. It has a beautiful terrace with a great view and the staff is really kind. I would totally stay here again.

Quiet hostel with nice staff

The hostel itself is nice we stayed in a private room which was nice. Staff were all helpful and welcoming. The hostel is in the middle of nowhere but there is a station a 5-10 min walk and it takes about 35 mins to walk into Sorrento. The breakfast is basic but okay. They offer food in the bar which was okay not the greatest. The hostel wasn't very lively and was empty most of the time.

Nice place to stay for a few days

The hostel itself is a nice place to stay, it is full of other young travellers and staff are nice and helpful. However the experience would have been even better if the location was closer to sorrento as it was a little far out from the main touristy area. We used this hostel as our base for exploring other places around the area though so it didn’t bother us too much. WiFi was also very bad but it didn’t ruin the stay.

Great value for money

The hostel is very reasonably priced and represents excellent value for money. You can pay more and get a fancy breakfast and larger room but if you want comfortable, clean, basic accommodation this is it. We had a couple of issues with the room which were fixed quickly and the reception staff were more than helpful. Also close to the Circumvesuviana train for easy access to Sorento, Pompeii, Naples etc. I would stay there again

Close to trains and some very nice restaurants

Lovely hotel staff. We stayed in a private double room and it was lovely with a balcony. Really enjoyed the Saturday night live band. It is nice to have an onsite bar and restaurant for some nights when you're too tired from your sightseeing. Food was simple and pretty good. The room and shower were a bit small but it is a hostel so I wouldn't expect luxury anyway. It worked just fine for us.

Lovely place and cool people

I found this hostel to be very nice, safe, and clean. It was full of adventurous ad friendly young people, as you would want a hostel to be. The bar/restaurant in the hotel was a bit pricy but the portion sizes were HUGE so totally worth it. If you're looking for a 4 Star hotel - this isn't the place. But if you're looking for a chill home base while you explore the area, I highly suggest.

It was close to Sorrento, bus and train stations. You can order food at the hostel. It included breakfast. The place was very clean. Staff were friendly. There were many teens there at the time (school trip), so the place was loud. Wifi was slow. It was a good middle place for the Almafi coast, Pompeii, Sorrento, etc.

Very pleasant stay although the internet connection is inadequate as noted by others and I used up by cellular data. It is a bit out of the way but this shouldn't deter you as it means a mostly quiet and scenic experience. It was so empty that on one occasion the night worker confronted me as if I was an intruder instead of a guest.

Beautiful location. Clean and comfortable room.

This hotel was located a 30min walk out of central Sorrento but that was ok because there were many restaurants, shops, supermarkets and the beach near by. Also,Sorrento was easy to access by foot, bus or train. The area was lovely.
The guy on reception was lovely and really helpful. He assisted me to work out how to get the beginning of the Path Of The Gods by public bus.
The double room was spacious with a balcony. The room was serviced daily and kept clean. There was wifi in the rooms. There was heating and cooling in the room.
Breakfast was included and was a continental breakfast with a selection of cereals, croissants, cakes, spread, jams, tea, coffee and juice.
There was a restaurant but we didn't use it as we were out a lot.
Overall I would recommend this hotel.

Close to train and 1 stop from Sorrento . Few stops from Pompeii.My husbnd got really sick and the staff were extremely helpful with direction to hospital and then accomodating foods off the menu while his stomach settled. They stored medicine that required refridgeration. All meals eaten at the hostel were great taste and value. Thanks Eduardo , barman and kitchen staff x x

Decent location, quite a long walk from anything but acceptable. You do get a bit bored of the 15 minute walk from the train station after the first few days. Saying that, the location is stunning. Beautiful balcony views over the park and the mountains.
Fantastic and helpful staff, with an exceptionally lovely Barman who made us feel very at home.
Room was basic but comfortable.
Breakfast was pointless (who really wants to eat cake at 8am?) but cannot complain too much.
All in all, a very enjoyable stay in basic but comfortable accommodation with helpful, welcoming staff.

More a hotel than a hostel.

Although there is a kitchen it isn't for guests to use. Instead breakfast is included and basic evening meals are available for a reasonable price. It has a great view from the roof terrace but overall it is more of a bed and breakfast than a hostel. It's not far from the train station and there are nice places to eat nearby.

We stayed 4 nights in a private double room at Seven Hostel and enjoyed our stay. The hostel is extremely spacious with lots of areas to lounge and relax, including the rooftop terrace. The views and sunset from the rooftop were amazing. Whilst the rooftop no longer looks like it does in the photos, it is still a nice area to retreat to, to watch the sunset. We went to the bar one evening, the cocktails were really good and reasonably priced, they also played great music. We would have gone there the other nights but unfortunately it didn't seem to get much custom during our stay which was a little diassaponting as it lacked atmosphere. The hotel is within waking distance to the train station and Sant Agnello town centre (max 10 minutes). It is located about a 30 minute walk to Sorrento or a quick few minute train ride. The room itself was good, clean and modern. Our only critisicsm of this hostel is that our room was not cleaned once during our 4 night stay. They did however remove our rubbish on one of the days. Overall this is a really fabulous place and we would recommend staying at Seven Hostel.

Lovely hostel with fantastic views

Seven Hostel is in a great location, with incredible views of the sea and mountains! Our room was clean and comfortable, plus we had a private balcony with more great views! The staff were very helpful, and breakfast was good. The hostel is within walking distance of Sorrento, (about 30 mins) and we went on a day trip to Amalfi by bus (2 hours each way) but the journey was well worth it! I'd recommend the hostel to anyone - was more like a hotel than hostel!
The only issue we had was finding it - it's only 10 mins walk from St Agnello station however there are no signs for it on any roads and we missed the turning for it. It seems simple to find when you know where it is though!
Overall a fantastic hostel, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

Great bang for the buck

Hotel was very nice. It wasn't in the center of Sorrento but it was very close. It appears that the building has been recently remodeled so its a very new and cozy feel. Bed was a little stiffer than usual, but overall everything was great. For the price, this hotel was a steal.

Definitely value for money but don't expect too much.
The staff is young and very courteous.
The lift is very modern looking but not the most technologically advanced, you need to keep the button pressed at all time or it stops in the middle of the trip.
Breakfast buffet can definitely be improved.
Nice bar and lounge area
Parking nearby can be a challenge at times and will cost you 5 Euro in parking tickets that you can purchase at the machine at the end of the road (only until 24:00, it turns off automatically and turns on again only at 8:00 the day after)
I didn't eat there, but the food looked and smelled great
Bathroom is surprisingly big in relation to the size of the room
Overall very clean, great view from the terace and i will be back for sure

They must have recently renovated it, it looked great inside and out. it is a good 10 minute walk from the station and a little bit hidden. it is near a few football courts too. the highlight was the awesome view from the terrace, they have laid out patio furniture for you to hangout and have a drink too. definitely will stay longer next time. we had the private room w/ bath.

I stayed at the Seven Hostel for 3 nights with my boyfriend while we travelled around Italy, we didnt want to leave! The hostel was in an excellent location, one train stop from Sorrento. The hostel also organised a boat trip to Capri Island, which was amazing and very reasonably priced. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Food in the hostel was very nice and cheap! Our room got cleaned every day and new towels provided. I would recommed people to stay here as it is excellent value for money. We loved itso much we are looking at going again for a week in September.

Dalle foto sul sito l'ostello sembrava molto piu' bello e ordinato. In realtà ho trovato una struttura molto attempata che a mio avviso andrebbe ristrutturata. La pulizia degli ambienti andrebbe rivista e la colazione con poca offerta.Il personale gentile e disponibile.Il luogo molto bello e percxhè lontano dal caos e perche' l'accessibilità alla costiera è immediata.
Molto confortevole il materasso con rete rigida come piace a me. Domito bene. Forse un po' troppo alta la scala del letto a castello.
Per concludere struttura con molte potenzialità se eseguite ristrutturazioni adeguate.

Should have booked the other hotel. They let the group of teenagers throw the party in the bar at night from 8pm - 1 am without giving any notice about this kind of event to other guests.
Please avoid to book this hostel if you about to stay longer than one night or if you also have a car I’d recommend you to book other place where has a parking lot.

Muy lejos de Sorrento. Esperaba mas onda en el lugar por la hermosa terraza y el bar. El personal muy bien salvo el del bar. No lo recomendaría x la ubicación aunque es de fácil acceso hay q tomar tren o bus desde Sirrento.

Für eine Nacht in Ordnung

- Sauberes Zimmer; jedoch stank es beim Eintreten in die Lobby nach Hundekot, was wohl an dem Hundekot vor der Türe lag, der nach 6h jedoch immer noch nicht beseitigt wurde
- typisch italienisches Frühstück (Brötchen, Marmelade, Kaffee usw. - nichts Deftiges)
- teilweise sehr freundliches Personal, teilweise aber auch nicht gerade serviceorientiert
- Kleines Zimmer; aber OK für eine Nacht Kurzaufenthalt

Buena estadía!

El hostel es muy lindo info! Limpio y agradable. El personal muy amable. La comida es rica! Nos dieron una lasagna que estaba riquisima. El desayuno masomenos, no ha fruta . Pero no está tan mal.

Gut für 1 günstige Übernachtung ohne Auto

Kein Parkplatz beim Hotel. Sehr mühsam, man kann nicht einmal richtig anhalten um das Gepäck auszuladen. Personal wirkte überfordert mit dem Check-In-Prozess. Zimmer i.O. Dusche sehr defekt, Wasser kam aus allen Seiten aus dem Duschkopf raus.
