We got the suite with the pool which is an excellent spacious room with a great view. Room was very clean and nice and better than seen in pictures posted on the site. The hotel itself is a little dated so not sure how the regular rooms look like. Staff is friendly and still a good location. There's a lot of parking in the area and a fairly good spot in Cala Bona and close to Cala Millor. Great dining options in the area too. Try Sa Punta and Mediterranea.

I found the hotel very dated and not well maintained.
The gym was not what it seemed in the photos which was disappointing.
There wasn’t any weights on the rack and wasn’t even a bin for dirty clothes or sanitary wipes for the equipment.
I made a few attempts to use the pool but it was always crowded and is way too small for the amount of people in the hotel.
The night entertainment, bar staff and hotel staff were great.
The bed was comfortable but the room did smell bad when I first got in but I got used to it.
Hotel staff will say I should have asked for another room but I was too exhausted and tired of moving so I stayed.

Ignore the pictures on the website. Completely misleading. They put pictures of incorrect rooms you think you are getting. Then when you arrive and try to get some help, you spend 2 hours trying to sort it and their receptionist said when we brought it to their attention “it’s not their problem”. Rude and obnoxious. We went for our anniversary and it was ruined due to the attitude they had. They did change our room after spending hours trying to sort, but again, it was nothing like it was made out to be. We go to Cala Bona all the time and this was the worst by far. Keep on looking as their are far better hotels with far nicer staff

The pool suite was gorgeous! The staff was extremely helpful and we received a very warm welcome from Jordy, who was wonderful. We only wish we had researched the area better as it appears to cater to an older crowd. We are a couple in our 30s and by no means looking for a party scene. But this hotel and surrounding area was not what we had imagined. Our only possible issue with the hotel was that the pool in our suite was not ready when we arrived so we spent the day out.... when we had originally planned to spend the day in that private pool. The next day was cloudy and cold so the pool was not an option for us to consider. In the end, we didn’t get to enjoy the pool, which was the key selling point for us booking this room. Jordy had recommended Mesquida beach and visiting the Drach caves - both excellent recommendations. Thank you Jordy! The buffet style restaurant offers a good number of options. Overall, this is a very clean and well run hotel in a sleepier part of Mallorca.

Good hotel

My wife and i stayed for a week. Initially booked a mountain view and the hotel gave us a free upgrade of the marina/sea view. Lovely view!! Big rooms with comfy beds and pillows. There were free coffee inside the room. The pool has a nice size. water was a bit cold tho.. We didn’t have a hard time finding a pool bed, even though people were reserving the beds. ( like in all hotels) The hotel obviously cannot control this, but it was nice that it was actually written on the door that saving bed is prohibited. The Entertainments were good as well. The food was so-so. Could be better- obviously focusing more to their English guests as the food were typically English.

I am very disappointed with my recent stay.
We paid extra for a terrace balcony and pool view, instead we got a view of a dirty roof and could not see the pool even in the distance.
Also our WIFI did not work at all in our room, we tried on 3 different devices. Because of this we incurred a large data bill from my mobile provider. I complained to the hotel about the wifi and the view but they said there was no room available.
I then emailed later asking for at least reimbursement for this extra data charge and I received a very rude email response staying that their wifi is perfect, despite my providing images and screenshots proving the issue.
The bathroom look clean and new on the website images but the marble has yellow stains on it and the bath had marks and looked as though has not been thoroughly cleaned.
I'm overally very disappointed with our room, the wifi and the customer serivce.
I waited a week and a half for the team to email me back after chasing up twice, only to receive a rude email response.
I woud highly recommend to stay somewhere else in Cala Bona and NOT this hotel.

Why 3 in Some Ratings?

The reason there is only a 3 in some of my ratings is because of my particular room. I had a room at the back on the 6th floor. The room itself was amazing, albeit without a balcony; it had the best shower I've ever seen, they provide slippers, a bathrobe and the room is quality. However, unfortunately for me, the cleaner noticed, on my 3rd day, that some mould had appeared around a grating in the ceiling, which wasn't there when I arrived. Someone came, opened the hatch and worked on it. Sadly, for the next 4 days, more and more water came through, indeed, was coming in quite fast on my last evening. Luckily for me I was sleeping on the left side of a large bed. The water was coming down to the right of the bed at the bottom where nobody was sleeping. However, nobody apologised for this or offered me any compensation and, being who I am, I didn't ask.
Aside from that, the staff were excellent, especially the man running the dining room, the buffet breakfast was very good, and, overall I enjoyed my stay there. You are situated opposite the beautiful harbour, close to the beach, further along to the right, and lots of good places to eat. I would stay there again, but go for a different room!

We took 2 rooms at the hotel, 3 in a suite and 2 in the terrace with swimming pool suite.
I wanted to surprise my mother with the exclusive suite which looks just perfect on the pictures.
In real life, the room itself was very nice but there was a terrible smell of mold and sewage 24/7. In addition the terrace was large but wasn't maintained and the private pool was not ready for us (maintenance guy was great and fixed it straight away, but the room wasn't ready for us).
The view is great, but the hotel description is not mentioning that they have 2 buildings and from the suite roof top you see a view of the other building roof top which is also not maintained and ugly.
On top of that, on our second day, the elevator broke down and we need to take our lugauges 7 floors down.
The hotel staff had enough courtesy to approve a very late check out (19:00) to compensate us.
I will only remember that I was willing to pay a lot of money to enjoy a fancy hotel, but the fact is that it is not fancy at all.

After having to spend the first night at another hotel due to air conditioning in my room not working (all expenses paid for by hotel), I checked in to a room that had a huge comfortable bed, excellent shower, tea/coffee facilities and fridge. Room was cleaned every day with fresh towels.Breakfast was excellent with a good choice of hot and cold buffet, fresh fruit (was divine) and a selection to cater for everyone's needs. Hotel staff were polite and friendly. My only moan was that the kettle stopped working properly and when I took it to reception on day 5 of my stay it still hadn't been replaced with a new one by the time I left on day 7. I will definitely stay here again as the hotel is right on the harbour, quiet and caters for single travellers.

We has a lovely 6nts stay at the Catalonia
There was a slight hiccup over the room as had to stay in a smaller room for 1 night.
This made no difference as all the staff were so friendly and efficient.
Food was excellent and plenty of fresh choices to be had.
The hotel has a lovely view over the marina at the front and a beautiful view over the mountains at the rear (which gets the sun all day)
Lovely relaxing stroll to Cala Millor along the seafront.
I will be returning later this year with my wife.
Many thanks to the Catalonia for a wonderful holiday.

Not very happy with the room we were given, on the first floor at the back of hotel very close to the road that runs at back of hotel. Could hear the bins being emptied in the morning. We did ask if there were any other rooms available but unfortunately the hotel was full. Saying all that the room was very comfortable and we did get the sun on the balcony late afternoon. The food was very good no complaints, plenty of choice. The hotel has a very relaxed pace and the staff are lovely.

Comfortable room and relaxing stay

Overall the hotel exceeded my expectations for the 3-4 start ratings! The style was modern and beautiful, the bed was EXTREMELY comfortable, the facilities were tidy and excellent.

This review would be a perfect 5 on each rating if it were not for the following faults:
Upon arriving my room wasn't as clean as I would expect, the odd hair here and there wasn't ideal, likewise the kettle had little water in before I used it - I wonder how long that had been there. This doesn't phase me but throughout the course of my stay it was apparent that the cleaners didn't have enough time to finish the rooms to the standard you usually get elsewhere - often my tea tray wasn't replenished, there would be footprints in the bath or the shower head would be left hanging etc.
Another loss of a star was for the staff, firstly they didn't seem to know where their pick up point was for excursions and this worried me my whole trip having booked many and i wondered where my shuttle would pick me up at the end of my stay. Luckily I called each company ahead of my pick up time to check and I found they all had a different idea - it would have been great if the staff at the hotel could have been more helpful with this.
There were also SEVERAL members of staff who would whistle and cat call me every day, more than once a day. As a 22 year old female solo traveller this made me feel very awkward and I spent most of my time outside of the hotel.

Hotel overlooking harbour and close to beach.

Had been told about this hotel and came recommended to us. Not disappointed on arrival, staff friendly and helpful, stayed in room 433 which is at back of hotel. Back of hotel is quieter and looks towards the local hills. Front is noisier as it looks over the harbour and the bars but more to look at in the day, your choice really. Only disappointing point was entertainment, not heavily advertised by hotel and not well attended from what we saw, plenty of local bars to go too though. Rope & Anchor bar next door very good for food and drink as well and cater for special diets. Food in the hotel was buffet style and a good choice, plenty of local bars and cafes and only 10 mins walk to Cala Millor centre and the route passes lots of bars etc so a pleasant way along the front. Would return to this hotel. Nice swimming pools indoor and out, gym limited but nice sun lounging area and terrace including bar and cafe by the pool.

Booked a seaview room to make the most of the views over the marina. Well worth it. Watching the sun rises and sun sets was just beautiful. Modern room. Powerful shower . Tea and coffee in room. Only had breakfast- this was very good-- cereals, juices, fresh fruit, yoghurt. Pancakes, pastries. Then cooked breakfast- buffet. Brilliant

Nice hotel, big rooms and balcony

The hotel is very nice, the pool is a little small and can get busy and they definitely need more loungers and umbrellas. The room was clean, although the towels didn't always get changed when we requested it, the old ones were just folded up and put back. The room was very spacious and the bed very large and there was lots of space on the balcony. The indoor pool was lovely though could use some air con because the glass roof made it extremely warm. The staff were friendly and helpful. They provide you with towels to use by the pool which is a really nice touch. The pool bar staff could have been a little more friendly and the choice of food there could be better. The complementary breakfast was very good with lots of choice though was disappointed that there were hash browns on only a couple of the days and that the juices didn't seem fresh. Overall though we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Expectations exceeded

For a 3 star hotel it definitely exceeded expectations we did however have a superior room in the main building. There did seem to be some issues with rooms in the annexe, however I am a great believer in you only get what you pay for......

Only issue was the air conditioning in the room was not efficient. Pool area was too crowded for size of pool, however I prefer to swim in the sea so not a problem for me.

Just be aware that the nearest beach is small and stony and that you have to pay 4.20 euros per item daily therefore 2 x beds and umbrella =12.60 euros daily

Overall excellent stay we will be back, but worth paying for upgraded room do not rely on free room upgrades.
This hotel is far too popular to be able to offer this, just expect what you pay for and you will not be disappointed. Finally adult only a definite bonus for us.

Loved the fact that there were towels there already, also you couldn't reserve a sunbed as your towel would be taken off. Plenty of room around the pool & always sunbeds.

The staff in the main hotel were great. Really helpful, smiley, professional. Unfortunately the restaurant and bar staff let it down a bit.
We were told the bar had already shut for food about 15 minutes before it should have, seemingly just because the member of staff wanted to wrap up early.
Then, in the evening, we were quite late down to dinner and the staff didn't make it clear that it was a buffet meal. We sat around for a while before I asked for a menu and then they told us, mid-laughter. Sure, it was a little funny, but they could have been a lot more helpful.
We were there on business, so the karaoke and street noise was quite loud. Looks like it would be great for families and older couples though :)
Lastly, the wifi was near non-existent on the 8th floor but it was *so* great to go to a Spanish hotel that had tea and coffee facilities!!

We stayed at this hotel hoping for a relaxing holiday next to the pool and some nice restaurants nearby.
It's true that the hotel is in a good location directly opposite the sea, although we were glad to have a room at the back of the hotel since the rooms at the front were no doubt blighted by the noise from a fairground merry-go-round and huge bouncy castle opposite every night. Additionally the evening entertainment from either the hotel or one nearby would be very loud at the front.

Good hotel for the money and really nice location

From earlier reviews we expected a terrible experience! To be honest it was not perfect but overall it was much better than expected. Room at rear on 4th floor refurbished to a good standard. Fridge for own use, good sized safe and good balcony with sunbeds table and chairs. Bed very comfortable. Air con was not great. Cleanliness not great and under bed very dusty!! Breakfast was excellent and hotel obviously spent a lot of money to maintain hot food. I would recommend providing you are looking 3-4 star max. Will definitely book again for a week next year. Local restaurants very close and are great value for money.

we had a superior terrace room, 4th floor at the back. no sea view.great modern room & bathroom, spacious room, bathroom & huge balcony. enough room for 2 chairs, 2 tables & 2 sun loungers. view was not great but it was very quiet as was not a sea view. breakfast was great, large variety. pool bar is adaquet, pool is nice but a bit small. beach to sunbath on 5 minutes walk. restaurants just outside. nice quiet upmarket area. clean beaches nearby. great value for money.would stay again. ate out every out.

Hotel war im allgemeinen in Ordnung, war etwas komisch vom Gebäude her, da man über eine kleine Straße musste um zum anderen Teil des Gebäudes zu gelangen in dem sich der Pool befand. Aber haben direkt ein Zimmer Upgrade mit Meerblick bekommen und im allgemeinen ein super Zimmer mit modernem Bad gewesen.
Essen war doch schon sehr Engländer lastig, aber von denen hat’s dort auch einige in dieser Gegend.
Ist nicht negativ gemeint aber noch einmal würden wir nicht noch einmal hingehen, da es mit Sicherheit schönere und bessere Hotels dort gibt in der Nähe.

The service in the reception was very good.
Breakfast buffet was also really nice (even if some guests should not be allowed if they don't have a minimum of hygiene when it comes to food handling!)

The condition of the room was terrible. Water dripping from the ceiling above the toilet (= drips in the head or on the legs depending on how you sit on the toilet!) Reception handled it immediately though, and water stopped. However, the handyman forgot to clean up after him/herself meaning we had a dirty bathroom afterwards.

The door to the balcony was almost impossible to open/ close. Everything was worn out, and the floor seemed greasy. The shower was not intuitive to use. Very noisy - we could here the guests next door loud and clear when we were both in the bathroom, and all kinds of noise from the outside during the night.

**Hotel Review**

During my recent stay at this hotel, I found the staff to be incredibly cheerful, friendly, and enthusiastic. Their hospitality was a highlight of my experience. However, the hotel itself did not meet my expectations. Despite being advertised as a 4-star establishment, it felt more like a 2-star hotel.

The soundproofing in the rooms was very poor, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep due to the noise. Additionally, the bathroom was quite dirty, which was disappointing. Overall, while the staff's excellent service stood out, the hotel's facilities and conditions left much to be desired.

Le personnel était très à l'écoute et agréable. Le petit-déjeuner était très correct. En revanche, les chambres sont vieillissantes, tout est jauni. Aussi, un bar se situe à proximité de l'hôtel, provoquant des nuisances sonores la nuit. C'est un hôtel que je ne recommanderais pas aux personnes jeunes, la majorité des occupants sont des personnes âgées.

Hotel is erg verouderd. Half pension is niet de moeite waard. Eten is niet slecht, maar ook niet echt smaakvol. Ligging hotel is wel fantastisch tegenover het haventje.

Detta är inte ett 4 stjärnigt boende. Enormt dåliga sängar, ser ut som resesängar. Maten i hotellets restaurang är inte av bra kvalitet, skolmatskänsla. Men läget är väldigt bra dock störande musik till midnatt alla kvällar under våra 15 nätter på hotellet. Hissen ärliten och en rullstol går precis in i den ena av byggnaderna inte i den andra delen.
