Overall, the area in general is pretty good. You really have to go a few minutes away Drive to start getting into the more interesting parts of the area and there is not a beach at hotel so don’t be confused to think that you’re gonna swim from a white sand beach there. That’s 10 min+ min away. This area has the resort only plus a wonderful restaurant called SA PUNTA next to it. we asked to check in early and gave them several days notice this was a priority and asked if we could even pay extra for this. The messages back were that they would try but when we arrived, it wasn’t possible and they really just didn’t seem to care very much. They said well too bad check-in is at 2 o’clock and will call you if it’s early, but we never got a call. If you have younger kids, this is great if you have kids older than 10 or 11 years old, this might be tough for them because of all the tiny kids around and I mean they are everywhere.

Finally, the room is very basic. There’s no drawers to unpack; kitchen supplies are space. I asked for a wine opener and universal charger - they told me I needed to go like 10 or 15 minutes away to get my own. I can say that they were friendly. However, Service is not up to a 3.5 american hotel standard

They are catering to families who are staying there a week using their all you can eat restaurants.
you are not a young family, who wants an all you can eat restaurant on site and nowhere else to go this will be perfect for you.

Really nice stay, very friendly staff, great food and a good location away from the hustle and bustle. The only thing I would say is we were put in a room with playground right outside the balcony and we didn’t have children with us, but it was ok. Note also, when asked if the hotel provided a transfer from the airport and back we were advised no and recommended to get a taxi at around €100 euros…but in actual fact, the A42 bus from the airport stops right outside the hotel entrance and costs only around €11…it’s so easy to do, especially if you had children with you

Title: Disappointing and Unacceptable Treatment
We stayed at Grupotel Mallorca Mar in Cala Bona for 7 days (18/08/2024) on a half-board basis, and our experience was far from satisfactory.

Upon arrival, we were only given a card to show when going to eat, with no further instructions. On the first day, we waited at the entrance of the dining area for five minutes, expecting someone to check us in, but no one came. When we asked a staff member, we were simply told to sit anywhere. This lack of organization set the tone for the rest of our stay.

However, the most distressing incident occurred on the 5th day during dinner. My child, holding a plate of food, was suddenly grabbed by the wrist by the lady in charge of the dining room. She demanded to know where my child's wristband was. My husband, who had just arrived at the table, immediately showed the card, but there was no apology—just a dismissive \"Ah, okay.\" This lady had seen us at breakfast and dinner for five days, yet chose to physically confront a child instead of addressing an adult. Touching someone's child is completely unacceptable, and any professional would know to approach an adult in such situations. If the staff were properly organized, someone should have been at the dining room entrance to check us in.

When I went to the reception to complain, the response was shockingly indifferent. I was told, \"Oh, that shouldn’t have happened. Someone should have checked as you arrived.\" That was it—no apology, no foll

More of a complex than a hotel, had to drive around twice to find check in.
Dissapointed with communication. reported on the first night that the heating, cooling was not working and the patio door would not lock, these issues were ignored.
Otherwise, very good stay and fantastic choice of food.

We had a fair stay at this hotel. The all inclusive option has worked out fine however it got boring by the 4th day - the options started repeating themselves, even though there were a wide selection of main dishes, salads, grilled meats and fish and desserts. Everything started to become bland as they are not using spices because its a family oriented establishment.

The facilities are family oriented as well, all inclusive drinks are mostly on the sweet side, everything is sugary. The pools were so full we didn't dare using them - the beach was only steps away.

Our room was ok, we got a corner double, facing traffic. The cleaning is a hit-and-miss, sometimes our towels didn't get changed, sometimes our bed didn't get made. A bit of mañana attitude, especially when the cleaners tell you to hurry up and leave the room in 5' because they would NOT wait up...

So overall mixed feelings. Not too bad, not too good, not high on the \"to return\" list.

Very enjoyable stay. Clean spacious room, great choice of food in restaurant. Lovely, very well maintained grounds, three swimming pools.
Excellent facilities, fantastic for children. Very hard working and very friendly entertainments team, first class shows. Milly and Siobhan outstanding singers. All staff very friendly and approachable at all times.
Highly recommend.

room swarming with ants

lovely hotel really but unfortunately our room was swarming with ants... All over the floor walls bathroom in our shoes and everywhere. we complained 3 times to reception but nothing was done as each day we returned to the ants... there was literally thousands of them crawling up our toothbrushes etc.. the hotel otherwise was good. very clean otherwise. food was good apart from coffee is served in plastic beakers in the day time and bar staff were very ignorant and rude. entertainment for children was good.

absolutely brilliant

We are a family of 4 with 2 girls aged 11 & 6. The hotel catered for everything and we enjoyed every moment of our stay. We can’t wait to come back next year. Pools were amazing, food is great and all the staff were brilliant.

All inclusive stay

Rooms were lovely and comfortable. Main pool is fab, other pools looked ok too but didn't spend much time there. Biggest issue with this hotel is the lack of staff and queues to get a drink - in some cases a 25 min wait to get a drink which isn't good enough for all inclusive. Food quality was ok but could have been better. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

The rooms are spacious and modern with every facility you'll need, recently refurbished. Not what you would call luxurious but very good, none the less. Living area with sofa, table and chairs and kitchen area, also flat screen tv. Bedroom, very comfortable beds, flat screen tv, nice lighting throughout. Lovely colour scheme. Large bathroom with freestanding shower, good pressure! There are 3 pool areas, 1 fun pool with character slides, 1 small children's pool (heated) 1 larger pool but it's freezing! Pool area could be nicer, sunbeds need either cleaning or replacing, Sunwing next door had much nicer pool area. Lots of beds available however even when hotel was very busy!
Main restaurant is buffet (themed) lots of choice and very good. The Taverna restaurant could be put to better use I felt, they need to rethink this, perhaps something for adults only. It's mainly used for snacks and located next to themed pool.
There's a spa, however I didn't use so cannot comment .
Evening entertainment for adults was very poor, I was traveling with my mum, she's 81 and it would have been nice to see some professional acts but maybe we were unlucky, there was lots for children and families.
One thing I noticed was that there were some very nice friendly staff, reception were excellent but mixed in restaurant and bars with some looking pretty fed up, no smiles or engagement, exception was Taverna, he was lovely. Special mention for fantastic chefs and Christian who works so hard!

Good only for young families

We are a couple in our fifties, this was very geared up for the young families which possibly should of made us stay somewhere else. Pool area by the sea was nice with plenty of sun beds, although getting drinks was slow as only one or two bar staff on. Room was good large and modern with good beds. Food was OK but both of us got stomach trouble and as we only ate there we put it down to that. Overall good only for the young family

This hotel is fantastic. The space and decor of the room and grounds were great. All inclusive restaurant and general service good too. Wifi in rooms could be patchy which was irritating but a minor thing all in all.

Lovely family hotel

This is a lovely family hotel on the coast a short bus ride away (approx 10mins) from a beautiful sandy beach. There are a selection of pools, one large family 'beach' style pool which has very shallow water at 2 edges leading into a deeper pool which goes up to about 1.9m deep. Adjoining this is a shallow toddler pool. There was a quieter round pool, a small baby pool and water park. The water park is ideal for children up to about 8 years - much older and they would get a bit bored. There are plenty of sun loungers although these were packed so tightly together around the main pool and water park that you could hardly move. However if you move away from the pool side onto the grassed area then there was more room to spread out. The indoor pool was closed when we visited - open in May and October. There was also a spa for >16yrs which looked beautiful but we didn't test it out. The rooms were amazing, clean bright and airy. Our 1 bedroomed apartment had 2 sets of sliding doors onto the balcony - pay extra for a view if you can. There was a free safe which was easy to use, and free wi-fi but this was very poor in most areas. The food had a good selection, the desserts could have been a bit more imaginative and were mostly frozen ones bought in. Plenty of choice of drinks soft and alcoholic. Great entertainment for the kids (in english and german)and the staff work really hard to keep them engaged. An expensive but enjoyable family break.

Great for families

This was the 2nd time we have visited this hotel having stayed last year as well. Since last year it is no longer a \"Grupotel\" (German company) run hotel, it is now a \"Thomson Family Life\" hotel. It has had a complete face lift, they boast free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel (although it is painfully slow and virtually non existent in the room we stayed in), use of the safes in each room is free. The evening entertainment is now provided by a team employed by the hotel who also do parades around the pool, etc. Last year there was outside entertainment every night and the kids club people ran the \"mini disco\" in the early evening. Although now the evening entertainment is slightly more amateur, the kids loved it and it is also now in German and English compared to last year where it was all in German.
The kids entertainment is superb. The staff work hard and always with a smile. There is a lovely little water park, more suited to younger children but there is also another nice large family pool and a deeper (slightly) heated one with jacuzzi jets.
The food (large self service buffet style) is not quite as good as last year but still good enough with variety and themed nights. The kids corner food is a bit unimaginative but they have a sticker reward scheme if your kids try new things and, for us, this was the way forward so they were eating from the adults salad bar or adult choices.
Overall, a lovely family holiday, very much geared towards kids. Would highly recommend.

Family friendly hotel.

This hotel is perfect for families with young children. As a lone traveller I found the dining room rather impersonal but that was not the fault of the hotel. The food was good with lots of choice. My room was perfect and I appreciated the large and private balcony. The children's pool/play area just outside my room only opened at10am and closed at 6pm which I thought was very considerate and reasonable. The hotel is situated a very pleasant walk away from Cala Bona and on a good bus route to several interesting places.

Ok for a few days

We stayed at the hotel with our 2 young kids beginning of September. Overall the experience was ok, but after 6 days we had enough. The restaurant can be very busy with queues especially in the evenings. Overall we had the impression that it was always hectic and busy in the restaurant with everybody trying to grep something from the buffet. There was always enough food, but the quality was average. It is also located a bit outside so that you either need to walk or take a bus to Cala Bona or Cala Millor. Child entertainment was only offered for children of 3+ years

Great very family friendly complex

We stayed at the hotel from end of May till the 3rd of June 2015 with two children age 5 and 1. We loved it , one outdoor swimming pool have been heated so it's perfect for young children . We had small water park for children in our complex . The food is great with plenty choices. One think evening entertaining could improve a bit as it's was more for the Germans tourists but still ok. I would go back again 100%. No regrets a toll ! And you can hire pushchairs / strollers at the reception for not much €.

La chambre était bien agencée, avec une belle salle de bains et une literie très confortable. Petit bémol du côté des WC (une petite fuite et la lunette mal fixée), mais cela reste un détail.
Le personnel a été très agréable et attentif, même sans parler français — leur disponibilité a été appréciable.
Le buffet était bon et varié, et l’équipe en cuisine comme en salle faisait très bien son travail.
Le spa est vraiment au top et permet de passer un moment de détente.
Il serait toutefois souhaitable que les enfants n’y aient pas accès, afin de préserver le calme et l’ambiance du lieu, juste pour faire plaisir au parents !
Un bel hôtel avec de bonnes prestations, nous avons passé un très bon sejour.

Tolle Hotel Anlage, sehr ruhig gelegen mit schönen Pools und Aktivitäten für Kinder. Im ersten Moment wirken die Zimmer etwas angewöhnt - es scheint als hätte das Hotel einen ordentlichen Wasserschaden gehabt. Allerdings vergisst man das wieder sehr schnell.

Punktabzug gibt's leiders fürs Essen. Oftmals Nudeln die hart waren und komische zusammensetzung (Burger Fleisch mit hot Dog Brötchen). Das all inklusive Angebot war begrenzt.

Note appartement étaient propre et confortable.
La nourriture est bonne et variés. l espace enfant avec les toboggans est très sympa.
Le seul bémol est que le all inclusive n’est pas vrai dans le sens où seulement quelques cooktails sont inclus et pas de soft non gazeux pour les enfants.

La noche estuvo bien pero pedí cama matrimonial y nos dieron separadas, pregunté antes de reservar si el spa estaba muy caliente me dijeron que sí y cuando llegué para mí estaba frío, mallorquines que íbamos a por el spa. Nos pusieron en una habitación con vistas a la piscina infantil mucho ruido de niño. Limpieza, decoración y comida bien.

Mycket trevlig och behjälplig personal.
Poolerna uppdelade på olika delar av det stora hotellområdet vilket gör att de med minst barn är på en plats och de med äldre barn på annan plats.

Maten är lite som All-inclusive mat är men ett brett utbud som passar alla.

Qualité des chambres bien, nourriture excessivement grasse et peu qualitative.
Cadre ordinaire accueil et communication à revoir.
Refus de la part de la réception de signer un document pour une prise en charge de mon séjour par mon travail.
Dommage ils ont perdu un client et pour ceux qui ont la possibilité d’avoir une aide par leur travail sachez que cet hôtel refuse catégoriquement d’attester que vous avez séjourné dans l’hôtel.

Wij hebben een top tijd gehad bij Grupotel. Het eten is erg uitgebreid en gevarieerd. Voor ieder wat wils. Ook het personeel is erg vriendelijk en de kamer werd dagelijks schoongemaakt. Leuk om met kinderen heen te gaan maar ook zonder kinderen vonden wij het leuk.

Wij tweeen verbleven eind september op basis van HP, ruime keuze in aanbod en elke dag veel variatie. Wij kregen ipv de geboekte standaard kamer , een gratis update naar zeer ruime studio voor 4 personen. Mooi onderhouden resort met meerdere zwembaden. Vnl Duitse-, Engelse- en Nederlandse gezinnen.
Vlak bij het begin van kilometerslange mooie gezellige boulevard met winkels en terrassen lopend van Cala Bona naar Calla Millor.
Streekvervoer bushaltes voor het hotel. Animatie vnl gericht op kinderen. Hotel ligt in een rustige omgeving net buiten centrum Cala Bona. Goede service receptie voor informatie en bij oplossen kamerslotprobleem.
Minpunt voor ons was slechte WIFI en kwaliteit stoelen eetzaal.

Personal con excelente trato, destacando la Sra Pepa (super amable y servicial en todo momento), EXCEPTO el subdirector Sr.Xavi. Teníamos reserva para un estudio y un apartamento y nos entregaron dos estudios, según manifestó el Sr.Xavi no disponían de apartam. Solicitamos nos reembolsasen la dif (117€) y nos dijo que nos dirigiésemos a Expedia sin querer entregar ningún documento justificativo del error, ofreció un vale de 50€ a gastar en SU supermercado. Al mostrar en todo momento una cierta prepotencia, decidimos pedir la hoja de reclamación ante CONSUMO, al tenerla redactada delante manifestó \"VAYA NOVELA\", una muestra más de su talante.

El hotel está bien, la comida deja mucho que desear, poca variedad y muy básico, el spa muy muy muy pobre, los chorros van cada media hora y no llegas al suelo, pone 1,50 y ni mi marido con 1,70 llegaba al suelo, la sauna y baño turco tienes que pedir una hora antes, ósea una caca.
Por todo lo demás muy bien.
Las piscinas parecían genial ( no nos metimos hacía fresco )
La habitación genial, muy amplia.
El personal muy amable y atentos.
