Have stayed here on previous occasions. Right beside the Night Bazaar, Restaurants, Bars and Taxis. Good breakfast. Getting a bit dated but room was clean. Staff were very helpful.

I booked in in the evening and went straight to bed. I rose early the next morning to go on a tour. I had no hot water for a shower. When you do run the bath the water runs around the bath and floods onto the floor. Before leaving I report the issue to the front desk and asked the girl for some location information which she couldn’t answer. I returned back to the hotel at 7.30 pm desperately needing a shower to find nothing had been done. Went back to the front desk to complain, the only girl on looked at me blank (as if she was on drugs )
And muttered she didn’t speak much English. I asked to see the manager and she said she was away and there was no one that could help. I asked for another room and she shrugged her shoulders and mumbled she couldn’t help to see someone in the morning. Frustrated I went back to my room. I intended staying another nigh. In the morning I reported it to the morning girl who said sorry, I told her I shouldn’t have to pay for such bad service and all she could say was sorry. When I got back to my room to get my belongings to check out a maid knocked on the door and wanted to check the water. Oh it’s cold she said and unlocked the room opposite for me to have a shower when it was time to check out. I went across the road to another hotel and booked in there. The hotel is very central to the night market but is very run down The shower door had the ply broken all along the bottom. Probably from the water running off the bath. A disgrace.

The staff was great, the area fantastic, however the hotel itself needs a lot of upgrading. The rooms are dark, dusty and lack luster. The hotel looked and felt abandoned. Breakfast offered very little and was not halal friendly. We checked out 3 days early.

There's nothing wrong with this hotel, clean, friendly staff etc. But it is so lacking in buzz. Bleak, no decorations, nothing. The breakfast is exactly the same everyday and not aimed to European travellers at all. You can get better value elsewhere.

The location of the hotel is good, but the facilities are old, in need of urgent refurbishment! Breakfast is for Asians and there are no other foods, for example, only 1 type of white bread. In the hallway there was a cobweb.

great location... Right in centre of might market area, but not noisy..... As per usual beware of taxi touts quoting inflated prices for sightseeing, we at least found, by chance , an honest one. Many restaurants in area, some great, some OK,, the food hall stalls are excellent value and really good food.

Great location super big room with mountain view

Night markets just outside the hotel, many food outlets and a supermarket all within walking distance. The room is surprisingly big for such a 3-star hotel, even the window also super big, we like the view of the mountains.
Not so happy experience is the check in, the counter staff can't find my name and booking record when we reached, then they reported to their management and did some checking then found and settle the check in. The worst is the bed, it is not the modern days' \"pocketed spring\" mattress, but is \"inter-linked spring\" mattress, so any body movement on it, will affect almost every other part of the mattress, that make us unable to sleep well for the 3 days stay. I think the hotel only need to upgrade their mattresses, then it can be upgraded to 4-star for sure.

A grand dame of a bygone era

Overall stay was pleasant.
The hotel rates commensurate the standards of a three-star hotel.
It would be better if the front desk staff can speak better English. Less misunderstandings would not have happen. Would recommend it to anyone with a shoe-string budget who is willing to ‘splurge’ a bit.

Location is tops! Walk out of hotel and land straight onto the night bazaar! A few levels of parking spaces. I arrived at 9pm on Saturday and there were available lots, the reason I didn't pick other hotels. The very friendly smiling staffs and decent breakfast outshine the dated rooms. Lighting is dim, they are still on crt tv, don't expect card access, all being dated. Aircon is cold enough, water is hot, mini fridge keeps cold. Basic needs fulfilled.

My stay was from dec 21st to 24th 2017. Only reason I booked this hotel was for the location and price. This hotel is old and need a serious facelift. I read previous review and thought it must not be this bad but it is. It feels like 1970. The hallways to get to the room is creepy and dark. The walls are dirty. The room has a cold look and feels empty. Bed is a little bit hard and the sheets is old. Pay a little extra around it for other hotels. As for the staff, very nice and efficient. They were able to change from a one bed to a two double bed on the spot. Breakfast was ok. I would not go back.

Not a bad place to stay

The front desk staff had my reservation all ready for me upon arrival and registration was quick and easy. The hotel is on the older side but well maintained. Our room was clean and equipped with all the normal fair, small refrigerator with some drinks and snakes. The best thing about this hotel is location, it is in the Night Bazaar area with lots of places to eat, shop and walk around. Also a lot massage places in easy walking distance. I had some trouble logging on the wifi but hotel staff sent someone to our room to set it up for me. I needed a two prong electric plug converter for a three prong computer plug and the hotel did not have any. They did give me the location of a local store that sells them. Security seemed to be good, I notice guards making patrols in the hotel at night time and one or two in the driveway all the time.

The wi-fi connection is almost non-existent. I and several other group members stayed for one week, and all had the same problem. The towels are frayed, and bathroom door looks like it has mold damage, as does the shower curtain.
There are much better places to stay in the old city for similar price.

The hotel was in a good location to walk to the city center. It's also right next to the night market and plenty of restaurants. The room itself was large although the bathroom is out of date. The shower had extremely low water pressure and a sign is posted instructing you how to get hot water, which is never good. Every day I had to wait for hot water to shower and I wasn't pleased. On vacation I like to get ready and get out the door, not tinker with the faucet for ten minutes to take a shower. The room has air conditioning but mine never worked right and never got truly cool. I would've expected better for the rate I paid.

The hotel location is grate just next to the night market, room was big and comfortable. BUT the bathroom in the first room we got was was full with mold. THe staf without say show us another and ask if ok, when we didn't accept it they show us the third Room which was bigger and say thisvis a priveladge. This room was in much better shape.

Good enough with some shortcomings

If you like being in the hustle-bustle of everything, this hotel is ideally located. It is right next to the Night Market. There are also many dining options with 2 famous burger chains within 50m. If the noise from the Night Market affects your sleep, ask for a room with even numbers. These face the back, away from the busy streets below. Pay a bit more and get a newly renovated room on higher floors. Rooms are without day curtains and if you have an odd-numbered room, take note that the other hotel across the street from you can see right into the room. The bathroom was not the most pristine I've encountered. Breakfast was included. For a 6-day stay, I found the fare very boring. No variety at all. With so many great Thai dishes out there, it was the same food every morning in the restaurant. Western breakfast dishes were available but nothing exciting as it was the same everyday too. Coffee was awfully strong. Tea on the other hand got subsequently weaker as hot water was merely added to used teabags.

Nice hotel near Night Bazaar

- Must stay in Deluxe Room as the Superior Room does not have coffee/tea making facility
- Buffet breakfast is quite okay but the menu is the same everyday !
- Convenient location as it is just next to the night bazaar
- It is also near (about 300 metre) to River Market Restaurant which serves very nice Thai food
- The room is spacious but a bit worn out

A Sad old hotel

Do n't believe that the hotels are less expensive in Chiang Mai. The first thing we had to do was upgrade so at least we had a safe and tea making facilities. The breakfast for Westerners is pathetic,not much selection and everything is cold, The whole hotel is in a run down state and should be put out of its misery. We had a miserable stay.

Topp renhold og fint basseng. Hotellet ligger sentralt. Rommene er i Thai stil, det vi hadde var stort, svært romslig. Trenger en liten oppgradering.
Savnet kun en vannkoker til kaffe.
Fant 1 kanal på TV.
Rett ved siden av Hard Rock Cafe.

Hotellet ligger super,. Morgenmaden var under al kritik, ikke pengenge værd, der er mulighed for at købe morgenmad i nærheden.. gør det. Hotellet ville ikke hjælpe med transport til lufthavn , da vi spurgte. ture var de ej heller behjælpelige med.. kun dem der var i deres program. Pool området var sådan set ok, der var dog kun 4 solsenge, der til tider var rift om. Poolen var kold. Kommer iIKKE igen.
