This is a spacious, clean apartment with an amazing ocean view from a huge terrace.
Communication about check in was great.
We were disappointed to find some inaccuracies in the advertised description- this unit is not beachfront and there are no beach chairs, towels or umbrellas available for use.
It is about a 10-15 minute drive to a good swimming beach.
We were happy otherwise & appreciated being able to do laundry, cook dinner & relax on the veranda with a glass of wine watching the amazing sunsets.

A great property. Very clean and spacious with all the items you need for a holiday. The air-conditioning was greatly appreciated. The view from the balcony was amazing, and the beach was only a short walk (down a steep hill). There was lots to see and do in nearby Nerja and the surrounding mountains. A car was essential. The pool area was clean and tidy. The area around the complex was kept clean and tidy too. It was a fantastic week away.

What a beautiful apartment! It is close to Nerja and Torrox beaches, which is a huge plus! The pool was refreshing, the space was plenty big enough for our family of 5, and we have to say it is our favorite place of all 6 we have stayed at during our tour of Spain!

Absolutely loved staying here. The whole family wished we had booked here for longer. The apartment was very clean, the kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to make meals just like at home, the apartment was very spacious, the beds and furniture were very comfortable, large pool that was well maintained, and the view from the balcony was beyond beautiful. Highly recommend booking here. We booked many places during our 2 week vacation in Spain (Barcelona, Granada, Ronda, Sevilla, Cordoba, Madrid, etc) …. Our stay at this property in Torrox was the favorite of the family, the highlight of our whole vacation.

Nice apartment with restaurants within 10 min walk

The apartment was very clean & modern with a massive balcony overlooking the sea. The aprtment had everything we needed but it was a little soulless. .
We had to go to an office just up the road to pick up/drop off the key and to get extra pillows & blankets, which was a little inconvenient.
There was an underground carpark which was €5 a day but we chose to park outside the apartment in the free parking spaces. There was lots of availability for that, but I can imagine it would be much busier at other times of year.
There were a couple of restaurants within a 10 min walk which was good and it's outside Torrox which we preferred.

Kitchen well-equipped. Plenty of cutlery, glassware and plates.

Good storage.

Bathroom with double sinks, shower over bath and plenty of storage. A good number of towels.

Underground parking on site - good, but take care coming up the ramp, a little \"tight\" to get into.

Coffee maker a little dated.
One of the curtains in the living room has a ring off of the rail.
Sofas a little \"worn\".
No kettle.
Need instructions for the television.

Amazing view with lovely balcony and well equipped

Excellent experience with check in and communication during out stay particularly under coronavirus circumstances. They could not have been more accommodating. Thank you Vincente and team!
The apartment was modeern, well equipped and the view absolutely beautiful. Good size balcony with very comfy sunbeds and the pool area is very clean. A little noisy between apartments and from above - the walls must be thin but this was the only negative.
For this location a car is essential as not much to walk to, although the local amenities aren't far. The beach is close to the road and not the prettiest but plenty of chiringuitos. Had we not been on lockdown for coronavirus we would have enjoyed more, but given the circumstances is was an excellent apartment to be in and handled well by the company.

Older apartment 1h20 minutes drive from Marbella.
The bed was not the most comfortable but the bathroom was decent. The view was great.
There is beach access across the main road with a few restaurants but there are no stores at all within walking distance.

We were unable to access the pool even though it was advertised. We probably would not choose to stay there again.

Really enjoyed our stay as a family in the apartments. We has a sea facing 2 bed, 2 bathroom apartment on the second floor, seemed to get morning and afternoon sun. The apartments are modern and have everything you need, inc washing machine/tumble dryer in my case. 2 pools to choose from, the one on the 2nd floor was best. You will need a car as not much is nearby, no issues for us at all. The service was very good and the welcome was warm. Please note the reception is just down the road from the apartments (main road then i think 1st right in the Torrox Costa direction). Would I go back? 100%

Don’t arrive after 7pm

Frustratingly I arrived after 7pm and the reception area was closed. The telephone number wasn’t answered ! Say no more on that front except I had to find alternative accommodation for the first night. A pity because the accommodation once in was super !

Comfortable apartment in a great location

This was our first family trip to Spain and we would certainly return. The property was in a very good condition and everything worked. The views from the balcony were stunning and we could certainly see the sea. We were pleasantly surprised the apartment was cleaned twice a week, which meant we had fresh towels and bedding. The 2 pools were lovely and we made great use of them. The village of Torrox Costa was walkable from the apartment, but would take about 30 minutes. Nerja along the coast was much further and potentially walkable however we drove. Both Torrox Costa and Nerja had a selection of supermarkets (including Lidl) and a large range of restaurants. The beach was a short walk, but it was very steep going down and consequently back up again.

Stunning place

Place is really excellent. Set along a nice stretch of beach, a couple of km from Torrox Costa and about 5km from the much nicer and lively Nerja. The hotel is located within a large complex (also with private homes) on a hillside, overlooking the sea. Apartment was extremely well sized (two bedrooms, two bathrooms, large lounge/dining, huge terrace; kitchen with all the necessary - including washing machine and dishwasher); room is serviced at least once a week, and towels and all consumables are provided. There are 3 swimming pools in the complex (not open in February), and ample parking off a private road if you don't want to use the indoor parking (which is charged extra). Note complex is set on a steep hillside (as most properties in the area) and closest store is in Torrox: hence in my opinion best to have a car. Motorway is about 10min away; Large shopping centre in Velez-Malaga about 15min drive; Malaga about 45min; Granada 1h15min; Cordoba and Gibraltar about 2hrs.

Great apartments with great views.

Weather was excellent and we used Calaceite as a centre to visit Almunicar,Competa,Almerimar,Guadix,Frigilliana and the Alhambra and it was always great to return to the appartment each day and relax before heading to Nerja to eat in the evening.We also enjoyed going for a walk in the mornings before breakfast and used the local beaches a couple of times which were only 10 minutes walk.

We stayed in Fuerte Calaceite for 7 nights. Although we arrived late because our flight was delayed for hours we got our appartment. The appartment was perfectly clean, beautiful and with a really comfy bed. Hotell staff was really helpful and friendly. There are good places to eat nearby. Shops and markets are drive away. We would recommend to stay here

Large apartment - everything we needed

We stayed in late September and was lovely and quiet.
The weather as always was great.
Good location situated in between torrox and nerja both equally touristy, and friglianna a short drive away.
The apartment was not luxurious but it was spacious and had a great kitchen with a washing machine, dryer and dishwasher, large fridge and plenty of cooking essentials and coffee machine.
You Definately need a car as the shops are quite a way by foot,
We didn't use the pool but it looked clean and surrounded by grass with great views of the ocean.

Stayed for a short break, good location, been close to beach and Nerja.
Apartments are located on a hill, with many steps, so not really suitable for those with limited mobility.
Disappointed main pool was closed, although reception dod not inorm us, when we checked in.
Reasonably sized apartment with equipped kitchen.
Balcony with sea views, and small table and chairs to have breakfast.
Bed uncomfortable, far too hard.
Apartment is obviously only surfaced cleaned, it didn't look as though they had cleaned under the furniture for a few months!!

Lovely apartment, no ambience

We stayed for two nights to be close to family staying on the coast and to that extent the hotel served it's purpose, however, it was totally dead! As we already knew the closest restaurants are a five to ten minute walk away with a steep incline back to the apartment. It is perfect if you want complete solitude with nobody with whom to interact - no bars, no restaurants and no life around the swimming pools. We also found a car parked in our allotted parking space on both nights when we returned late to our apartment. Very surprised to find that there is a E5 charge for parking after the first night even though each flat has an allotted parking space - seems a mean just to make extra money. The apartment was well appointed but we won;t be staying there again!

We had room no. 2131 on the 3rd floor of block 2.

Wonderful hotel on a hill overlooking the sea

The apartment was very nice overlooking the ocean. The reception has very limited hours from 10.00 am to 7.00 pm only, however if you arrive after those hours you can get the keys to your room. The thermostat is in the living room and therefore the bedroom temperature cannot be controlled so you can get quite a variation in temperature, especially on very hot days, like we had when the temperatures soared to almost 40 centigrade.

I loved everything about this apartment. We had a one bed with a sea view. The balcony was huge and the views were amazing! Couldn't fault the apartment, balcony or view!! Would go back in a heart beat. You would need a car to get around though. Supermarkets within a short drive, and Nerja, the caves and Frigliana all within a v.short easy drive.

The quality of the apartment and views from the balcony were exceptional. The furniture was sparse and wish it had matched the quality of the apartment but was fine for a beach vacation. The service from the management team and maids went above and beyond when we made several requests. We did not take advantage of the two pools but many did as we preferred the beach which was across the street (easier to drive to than walk).

wonderful apartments and helpful staff, but for ease i would recommend hiring a car for getting around as to walk to the towns of torrox and nerja are both over an hour walk, there is a bus service that goes along the main road and taxis to nerja are approx 11 euros and a taxi from the airport to the apartments is 60 euros, but if you had your own car it would be much easier

3rd stay at this location, luxury modern spacious 2 bed apartment with sea views. this particular apartment not as nice as the 2 previous ones. It needed a bit of maintenance and the cleaning was not sparkling as in the past but adequate. Lovely spot for the nearby spectacular caves and beautiful Burriana beach at Nerja. Hotel overlooks the sea at Torrox but you need a car to go to nearby Nerja.

Was good value for the money as 2 couples shared the 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment. We were able to do laundry (washer and dryer were in the apartment) and cook a dinner and breakfast. Such a disappointment

After reading so many glowing reviews me and my partner couldn't wait to arrive!

We booked a 1 bed apartment but was given a 2 bed for some reason. Not that this is anything to complain about but the apartment was bigger and for an air con system that was on it's last legs it was very hard to keep the apartment cool. We spent all of the 7 night uncomfortably hot whilst sleeping in the most uncomfiest bed to memory (and we do like to travel so have had our fair share of different beds!)

The apartment in the kitchen looked clean upon first glance but as we got closer there was dead ants in the corners of the kitchen work tops which looked like they had been there for some time and they were hardened on and I wasn't for cleaning them up. We ate out everynight thank fully.

There are two pools at the apartment complex, the smaller quieter one and a larger one, we spent most of our time at the larger one for the pure and simple reason the smaller pool was disgustingly filthy. We didn't even get in the pool, around the edges was some sort of green substance where the water sat and in the bottom of the pool was all sorts of black grit and dirt it was just horrendous for an apartment complex that wasn't shy on using the word 'luxurious'. Hardly!!

The pictures tell a different story too.. Our towels ended up filthy from walking in all the mud on the grass which wasn't maintained, the little kids pool was an eye sore out of use and there is a serious wasp problem!

A great hotel complex

A great hotel complex built as individual apartments I believe. We arrived at 1:45 IN THE MORNING !! And someone was waiting for us!! A car is a definite must..... the hotel is on a very steep hill, our block was at the top!! Oxygen needed !! The apartment was great 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, dishwasher washing machine and tumble drier with soapy stuff provided. Reception staff were great speaking better English than I can ever hope to speak Spanish..... DON'T FORGET YOU NEED A CAR !!

We ordered a partial seaview appartement, we were able to look around the whole Torrox vilage from our balcony on the 3rd floor. I can only talk about it only in superlative forms. We had a rented car with us, and we were able to use a remote controlled gated garage.

a little disappointing as no english tv channels anylonger but great weather

as we have been twice before we would hope that we would get a loyalty reduction if we stay again as the prices are higher than we can affortd which is a shame as we would like to come to the apartment at least twice if not three or four times a year.

You do need a car and we have not found anywhere cheap and the airport trip is 60 euros each way so quite high. But if you want somewhere very relaxining no commercialisation peaceful then this is the place to go

Good value for the money

Excellent value for the money. Easy walk down to the beach (in the summer) and 5-10 minute drive into Nerja town. The apartments were originally built to be purchased individually but due to the economic crisis in Spain many units were never sold and are now rented out hotel style although they are pretty barren inside (eg towels in bathroom but no soap, shampoo, etc). Kitchen wasn't very clean and bed horrible (Ikea mattress or something similar) but the nightly rate is pretty cheap so can't complain too much! Would stay again for sure

Value for money - when can we go again

Our short four day trip was spent in these lovely apartments. The picture do do it justice and we had the most fantastic view. The lower pool we couldn't work out how too get to after quite a bit of exploring but it didn't matter as we were only going to sit and drink a glass of wine as the sun had gone from our balcony at 4.00 pm. Only suggestion to improve would be a bit more china, wine glasses hadn't been checked so there were two with cracks in and I would have like a spatula for frying eggs. The best apartment I have stayed in for the cost. Even down to a teatowel, scrubbing washing up brush and two tablets for the dishwasher and one for the washing, I borrowed a hairdryer from reception and well done for the level of standard and I hope to come again in February.

Beautiful apartment with incredible views

We stayed here in mid October. The weather was perfect and we were able to enjoy stunning sunrises and sunsets from our spacious balcony. We had booked a one bed apartment, but for some reason (presumably because it was fairly quiet) we were upgraded to a very spacious two bed which was very luxurious. The pools were lovely, although I imagine they might get very busy in high season when all the apartments are in use. We were glad to have a car - it would have been tricky to get around without one and the store at reception is pretty basic. This wonderful complex is extremely good value for money and seems much more luxurious than its 3 star rating suggests. I would recommend to anyone.

Comfortable place

The appartement complex was very close to the beach and a great place from where to start your trip. Close to the lovely city of Nerja, the place for nice beaches and its famous Balcon de Europe. Unfortunately the recession paid its toll, as the complex is unfinished at the top of the Hill. All around are half finished houses visible. However the sea view is fantastic! We were not pleased with the smell from our airconditioning system, the equipment in the appartement (microwave, toasters etc.) could use an upgrade. Overall a rating 4 out of 5.

Great accommodation for a relaxing break

Great accommodation with extensive facilities including satellite TV / DVD, dishwasher, washing machine, etc. Spacious rooms tastefully furnished and a fabulous view over Torrox and the sea. An ideal location for rest and relaxation.

Lovely hotel, okay location.

Room was clean, grounds were clean, view was spectacular, but not on water, but uphill and across semi-busy road from Mediterranean. Beach very mediocre and Mediterranean fairly cold. Thank goodness hotel had 2 pools.

Modern place right on the beach

Located right on the beach just a little bit up hill. Great view. Modern appartment. 30 min by car to Malaga. Circut breaker in our apprtment didn't tolerate more than one appliance working at a time.. Had to constantly flip it. Hai dryer wasn't in the room. Had to ask for it. Was told to come the next day bcs the office was floated from storm the day before.. The key wouldn't work at the building entrance - so people were just leaving the door open.. Little things....

Beautiful sea front condo

We had wonderful customer service from Vincent. His recommendations were very helpful and he was very professional and easy to work with. The resort was all that it looked like in the photos. It is walking distance to the beach as well as the beach front restraurants and the bus stop to go into to Torrox or Nerja. The parking in the structure is for smaller cars and we found it easy to park our car outside the parking structure. Internet is expensive and we would recommend that they provide free or reduced internet cutomers of the resort. At the cost of rental it should include free Wifi. The pool lounge chairs should be in better condition and the kitchen could be better equiped. Vincent was helpful when we needed anything for the apartment. This resort has a wonderul view and we would return again.

Stunning location, bad bedroom cleanliness

The apartment was in an excellent setting with a balcony overlooking the sea giving stunning views. The apartment was well equipped but it would have been useful to have a folder telling us about the local supermarkets, restaurants, doctors and general amenities near by.The downsides were that the blanket on the double bed was dirty and had stains on it and there was not enough sunbeds around the pool and the ones that were there were all broken.

Apartamentos Fuerte Calaceite

Our 2-bed apartment was very well appointed with everything needed for a holiday. The views are stunning and never lacked interest for us. We found reception staff very helpful. We enjoyed walking into Torrox from the complex. The only mark against the complex is that to walk into Nerja you have to walk beside a busy road. Overall we would recommend these apartments.

Late Autumn Sunshine

These are lovely new apartments a couple of kilometres outside Nerja although the address is Torrox. The apartments are in terraced blocks overlooking the sea with steep access roads - a car is essential. Lovely views over the sea from large terraces. Extremely well equipped: washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, LCD TV + luxury bathrooms etc. This the second year we have taken a short break here and look foward to returning next year.

Avoid unless you like treking, have car or love surly staff!

Ok, the good points...
the taxi service in the are was brilliant, polite cheap reliable and regulated.
The apartment itself was clean, tidy brand new and nicely furnished.
The weather was great and the food and shops were reasonably priced

so was this enough to tempt us back?
No.....the apartment staff were surly rude and couldnt be more dismissive if they tried. Everything was too much trouble from finding a key that actually worked to paying for ice creams...3 off them behind the counter!
You MUST MUST have a car or strong heels to stay here...no matter what the brochure says, its up a mountain and 4km walk to the nearest place.
Avoid Torrox its like Beirut, instead get a taxi to Nerja ( pro' Nerka) About 10 mins by taxi £10) and has great shops and restaurants and atmosphere.

Finally 2 cautionary notes...we arrived at 1 am and everywhere was locked up inc access to the apartments! You will need a phone on you and fully charged to contact the emergency number on the doors or you will have to sleep outside til 10am when it reception opens. Also check your flights - regularly! Easy jet changed our flight times 8 times!!

Highly recommend you use malagataxiservice for airport collection and drop off...they were superb x

Second time and still love it!

You need a car because it's very high up. The views are amazing, the pools are quiet and clean and big enough. We booked for a one bedroom apartment and had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The apartment is so luxury. The air-con works perfectly and the kitchen is fully fitted. We had a massive terrace with a great view!
A really lovely place to stay and the reception staff are really nice, polite and speak English.
A definite recommendation.

Home away from home.

We stayed at the Calaceita apartments the last two weeks of Aug 2011 and had a fab time. The appartments are very luxurious. Everything you need is there. Two bathrooms, separate kitchen with all facilities. Apart from maybe an extra cereal bowl we found everything we needed. There are two pools and it did get busy sometimes, but we were never without loungers to lie on. The view from the appartment was breath taking and one of the best we ever had.
You do need a car when you are staying here. The appartments are located between Nerja and Torrox Costa and to go out for dinner or to do food shopping you do need transport. Nerja has lots of restaurants to choose from and is a lovely little town.
We really enjoyed eating at Avalon which is outside of Nerja with lovely food, service and amazing view over the mountains and Nerja.

The garage under the appartments makes going in and out very safe and easy.
The appartments were cleaned three times when we were there for 14 days which was plenty.
Do bring some dvd's with you because there is no television channel for the English or for children.

In short, loved it and would certainly recommend staying here and would come back.

Not a hotel really a nice condo with ocean view

Bit out of town and car is essential.

Very quiet with wonderful outlook. Swimming/tanning beach near the entrance to this condo development with 6 buildings.

Pool was hard to find from our unit but had grass and nice outlook and location.

No complaints and great for visiting Nazare which we love as the \"Balcony of Europe\".

Nice hotel/appartment with 2 large swimming pool, a car is a must if you want to visit the area, the beach is 5 minutes walk.The accommodation is large, nice kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, even tumble drier but could have more saucer and pans. 2 bathrooms. Balcony with table and chairs amd sun lounger. Air con is a must at night. Wifi is not available in some blocks (5,6,&,7).

The appartments are nice enough, sea views etc. however was annoyed that whilst we had a tv most channels were in GERMAN. Would rather have no TV or TV in Spanish than this. Pool side facilities were limited with only a few loungers occupied by, as you can guess, from the crack of dawn. Not a real mix of visitors so not my cup of tea. Was however very peaceful and quite.

Apartamentos Fuerte Calaceite

Ultramodern, comfortable and stunning large development. with great views of the ocean. The rooms were very nice and we had a wonderful stay. Getting to town is a 5 minute drive or a 20 minute walk.
The pool is great (though very cold!) and the landscaping is nice. We would recommend this to anyone wanting to be in a condo on the Costa del Sol. It is not a quaint, but it is an attractive place to stay. There is much to do in this general region -- can take lots of day trips to easily occupy your time and do as much or as little as you like.

Beautiful views, comfortable apartment!

This is a beautiful location. If you get a frontal sea view, you will be amazed by the beauty of your surroundings. The room was modern and comfortable, with all you need to cook meals. This is a wonderful area with lots to do. We parked on the street without any problems (though it was off-season). My only complaint would be that the water wasn't hot; we took quick showers for this reason.

the apartments were just as shown in the photos(although no sun loungers outside on bedroom patio!)We were given a two bedroom although only booked for a one bedroom.The check in was great and the lift from the underground car park was fab straight to our door !The sea view was amazing.The area itself is very quiet which suited us fine ,the drive into Toorox was just 5mins.The apartments were very well equiped with high quality fittings (It was odd to have washing machine. dryer ,dishwasher, microwave but no kettle or hair dryer!)We had a lovely stay and wouldn't hesitate to return again

-The mattress was not comfortable
-No wifi in our building (there was in other buildings in the complex, but not ours)
